OOC: THIS IS NOT A STOREFRONT. This thread is sort of like the book "Soviet Military Power" and is intended to provide an estimate of TPM's military technology to the world. It also is for reference. If you intend to reply, please do not quote the images from my posts. Also heed the notice at the bottom of this page and try to keep replies civil and nice if you do decide to reply whether it is an IC or OOC reply.
OOC2: This is a work in progress so keep that in mind if you notice holes.

Uniforms and Equipment
TPM services wear roughly the same uniforms, with only minor variations in the standards of wear, and color variations in the navy dress uniform. Woodland(pictured) and desert camouflage patterns are the main ones in use, but there are a total of 4 different patterns used (not counting special forces patterns).
The three main uniforms: the Garrison Duty Uniform, the Combat Uniform and the Dress Uniform are pictured here in their most common configurations.

Special Uniforms
Along with having their own rank, he special units "Knights of the Phoenix"(KOP) and "Sons of the Phoenix"(SPX) have their own unique uniforms for different environments, and do not generally wear a dress uniform. Instead of a garrison uniform, an all black version of the BDU is worn.

Militia
The militia would be the equivalent of other nations National Guards, Air National Guards and Coast Guards.
Universal Defense Forces
The Universal Defense Forces are essentially simmilar to other nations' volunteer state guards but unified and standardized nationwide. The force is unpaid and compulsory.
All physically fit men are issued a package of equipment on their 16th birthday, regardless of whether or not they are entering or intend to enter the militia, any branch of active or reserve military. Women can be issued the same equipment for free upon request. Women, elderly men and amputees missing an arm can request a handgun or machine pistol.
The equipment package is as follows:
:One(1) BDU hat with TPM flag (to fulfill uniform requirement of certain international conventions on the conduction of warfare)
:One(1) semi-automatic rifle with three loaded 20 round detachable box magazines or six 10 round en bloc clips(depending on particular rifle issued)
:One(1) crate of ammunition holding four 100-round boxes of armor piercing rounds(to be opened only in an emergency)
:One(1) high explosive multi purpose muzzle launched rocket(only for those equipped with base R-464)
:One(1) multi use combat/field/fighting knife/bayonet.
No special training is given other than issued pamphlets and manuals. Due to the "gun culture" in The Phoenix Milita, most of those issued weapons generally practice shooting on their own, and attend optional bi-annual town meetings that are called to discuss tactics and strategy. Training ammunition is distributed at the meetings to increase turnout. Organization is offered through county governments.

Estimated Strength(based on weapons issued)
3,344,880 M-9A7 bayonets (best guess of total strength)
166,880 R-463 [[.275 Minuteman]] rifles (no longer issued)
678,000 R-461/R-461A1 .275 Minuteman rifles (no longer issued or produced)
2,500,000 R-464/R-464S/R-464C [[6.66mm Longneck]] rifles
1,845,520 Muzzle launched dual-purpose rockets for R-464 series
??? Muzzle launched rockets with specialized warheads for R-464 series issued at sheriff's discretion
??? Hand grenades issued at sheriff's discretion
>84,000 Claymore anti-personnel mines mines issued at sheriff's discretion
40,140 Glock 18 pistols issued to amputees (23,458 re-chambered to 10mm auto {TPM Glock 42})
In addition each sheriff's dept is given a number of surplus anti aircraft and anti tank guided missile systems proportional to the size of their area of responsibility. These forces are not counted among active, militia, ready, or even inactive reserve.
International Augment
The International Augment to the Phoenix Milita, known as IA-TPM or simply IA, draws its officers and senior NCO's via lottery from the Active Militia, the Active Army, the Active Marine Corps and the Reserve Army. The IA is under the administration of the Army and falls below the Militias in the command structure. There are currently 7848 troops from extra-regional nations and ~1000 from regional nations(such as Tyrador and Johnified America) in addition to about 950 TPM personnel. Total manpower is just under 10,000. The primary nationalities of extra-regional members are Roman Republican, with former citizens of the nation Theao and A Few Rich People making up the difference. To date the IA has never been deployed.

Primary Individual Weapons
Army
The Army's world-renown heavy infantry units are the cornerstone of The Phoenix Military. They are heavily armored, heavily armed troops unlike any conventional force. The most powerful modern service rifle is the weapon of choice for the heavy infantry:
The AR-22 Series of .450 Assault Weapons.
Chambered in the heavy hitting, highly accurate, plate crushing .450 Phoenix caliber, the AR-22 is a beast of a weapon. A battle rifle weighing more than most squad automatic weapons, the AR-22 is difficult for untrained fighters to wield for any amount of time, let alone fire sustained shots. But in the hands of a professional Heavy Infantryman, who has undergone extensive training and conditioning, it is an awesome force of death. Recognizing a weapon of this kind would hinder tactics favored by traditional light infantry units, heavy infantry play by an entirely different set of rules. Able to sustain multiple impacts from a variety of rifle calibers over most of their bodies, being light and quick is less important, and being able to engage and destroy the enemy at almost any range without having to constantly seek cover becomes paramount.
The majority of the Heavy Infantry is a mechanized force but elements are configured for foot, air and sea mobility.
Light Infantry still has an important place in the Phoenix Military, but the heavy infantryman is the face of the Army.

The AR-22A3 with detachable M203X 40mm Grenade Launcher is a favorite of paratroopers and special operations forces.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v293/grunt74/NS1/Firearms/AR-22A4.jpg
The AR-22A4 is the latest incarnation of the AR-22 Series. The AR-22A4 is much smaller than its predecessor the AR-22A2.
The AR-22A4 is also designed as a modular and modifiable weapons system.
4 modifications are currently in service:
The basic, AR-22A4 Mod 0, the AR-22A4 Mod 1 with integral 30mm Grenade Launcher and the Mod 2 with integral 8 gauge shotgun. Tere is also another version, the SR-22.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v293/grunt74/NS1/Firearms/SR-22A4.jpg
The original SR-22 was scrapped and built from the ground up from the AR-22A4 model. It features an integral lightweight bipod and custom sight clasp combination rail system for mounting all known accessories. Despite its "SR" designation, it really only sees actual use as a designated marksman's rifle, as superior sniper rifles such as the SR-48 exist in The Phoenix Military's inventory.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v293/grunt74/NS1/Firearms/M-69A1.jpg
For many years The Phoenix Milita, like so many other nations, had relied upon 40mm grenade launchers to provide squad level fire support. Combat reports on weapons systems such as the M203X however, indicated that further research into the best grenade launcher caliber was needed. After many trials,
ALPHAtech Industries' 30x55mm K30 Squad Automatic Grenade Launcher was purchased in large numbers and began to replace the original M-69 "Schwarzenegger Grenader" which was chambered in the ubiquitous 40x46mm. For a short time in early 2005 it seemed that a non-Phoenix Dynamix designed weapon would become a mainstay of the Phoenix Milita's Army. The pride of top government and military officials got in the way of a total conversion, however, and the K30 went from front line issue to special, "luxury" issue and surplus storage within the first 6 months of its purchase. While ultimately leading to Major General Richard K. Lavent's early retirement, his mandate for adoption of the 30x55mm round in other weapons however, was able to persist beyond the shelving of the K30. The AR-22A2, which came out the same year as the acquisition of the K30, featured an integral 30mm grenade launcher based on the M30 Grenade Launcher -- which was designed as an underbarrel attachment for existing assault rifles compatible with the K30. Orders for the AR-22A2-- which had a large number of other improvements besides the grenade launcher-- exceeded 3 million within the first quarter, and before it could be stopped, hundreds of thousands were produced. The AR-22A2 was finally adopted with the 30mm grenade launcher for economic reasons and it became clear that 30x55mm was here to stay, even if the K30 SAGL wasn't. The M-69 remained in service for many years and its withdrawal from front-line service was met with much resistance from within the ranks. But Phoenix Dynamix was to come through and save the M-69 once and for all. They introduced the all new M-69A1, chambered in 30x55mm and improving upon all other shortcomings the original had.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v293/grunt74/NS1/Firearms/MG-45.jpg
With the MG-22 seriously lacking and its upgrades never completed, a new, capable machine gun was needed to take over the squad level .450 automatic weapon role. The MG-45 functions as a Squad Automatic Weapon and Light Machine Gun for The Phoenix Military

-
The AR-20M is a lightweight automatic rifle.
-
The SR-20, like the SR-22 is a designated marksman's rifle
