The large planet Marzeron is quiet world of both Industry and Agriculture. One side of the planet is rolling planes and forest's, with many farms, city's and suburbs to speak of, with the dual moons overhead.. On the other side of the planet, Massive mining facilities and factories cover the land. Two Savior Destroyers, a warship two thousand meters in length, waited in orbit for the ok to go. The Captain of the first Savior Pride, was Varr Dosrey a human." Status report, Shekelsh?" He asked the other captain. Shekelsh was the captain of the second Savior, Redemption,and was also a sentient Raptor.
" All goes well, Varr. Expect to be deployed soon." The crews were busy with making final preparations for the mission. After what seemed like several hours for the captains and crew, they received confirmation. The destroyers moved away from the planet, propelled by the Gravimetric Engines, heading for the outer rim of the system. They went past the only other planet in the system, Iaric. the planet was small but luch with forests and wildlife. The ships were nearing the outer reach's of the solar system. The thin belt of what was the asteroid belt was easily avoided, and soon they were beyond the reach's of the system.

A Greywatch Exploration Vessel pulled out of PSR a few hundred kilometers ahead of the two ships, sending a gravtational disturbance outward that lasted for a few second and then disapeared when the rift closed again. Aboard it, the crew were preparing some scans, apparently they'd found a new system. And whenever one finds a new system, you have to go out and see if it supposrt some alien life. Hopefully, Greywatch would meet a new race and hopefully they'd be friendly...

Normally a slight disturbance in the Drift would be nothing to flash an eye at, especially as they got to the denser parts of the galaxy. Yet these two disturbances were different, so close to the star system they were about to explore, and moving at a fast enough velocity to indicate ships, would arouse some attention.

So it would be that the small Sertian scout force held itself where it could remain undetected by the unknown vessels while utilizing whatever small amount of sensors they could manage under FTL to examine the ships. After a few minutes to assume that they wouldn't be a significant threat to contact, they decided to literally drop in on the unknown species.


In front of the two two-kilometer long warships, five smaller ships would appear; One seeming to be around six-hundred meters long, the others ranging from 150-meters and 200 meters long. They seemed to be lacking any sort of shielding and their weapons seemed to be unpowered, and combined with the message broad casted in radio shortly after their appearance, they seemed to be peaceful enough...

"Greetings from the Sertian Empire. Based upon the level of technology we have scanned we are assuming that this is your people's first contact with an extraterrestrial race and thus welcome you to the interstellar community. We wish you no harm and would in fact like to extend any form of hospitality or help we may offer."

The radar officer aboard the Pride detected the disturbance." Sir, we've detected some sort of gravitational wave of some type. Varr was standing up in a second.
" Scan the area. Double check your readings." The officer does as he is told, and within the minute he replies.
" The wave is gone, but there's... A ship! An unknown space craft!" Several people on the bridge talked excitedly, but Varr quieted them. He sent a message to Shekelsh, and soon both destroyers redirected their course towards the alien craft.

Shekelsh replied." Greetings from the Republic of Marzeron." The reptilian voice answered." Surprisingly, this is the second contact with an alien race within the last five minutes. You hailed us, so I suppose your the first." The Raptor was pondering this for a moment then gave up." I am glad you mean no harm, and we greet the hospitality with our own."

The Greywatch Explorer was quick to pick this up. The two destroyers had just been noticed when five more ships just appeared. And so, the Explorer pressed forward, shields up and weapons down. The two destroyers were apparently coming towards them, too. Well this would be a fun first contact.

Varr's Destroyer hailed the unknown ship." This is Captain of Varr of the Marzeron Republic. Who are you?"

A response was quick to come back:

<Greywatch Explorer 202 belonging to the Empire of Greywatch. We're here to, well, explore, as the name no doubt suggests. We mean you no harm whatsoever. Our weapons are completely powered down.>

The commander in command of the ships smirked when the reply came, before his tactical officer notified him of a ship that had entered while they were entering real space. Unfortunately the process took a few seconds where the high gamma radiation released blinded their own senses, so they had no way of perceiving the other aliens beforehand.

He quickly sent a reply to their new contacts, one to the Greywatch and one to these Marzeron's. "Ah yes... Our sensors have just detected another unknown vessel within nearby space. Unfortunately, they apparently arrived while our sensors were blinded... Regardless of which, it appears they will be arriving at our position shortly."

Then quickly following that, a second message to the Greywatch was sent, giving them the basic introduction to the Sertian Empire and that they didn't mean any harm at present...

<-" So it appears. If you are truly explorers then you are welcome here."-> Varr answered with both a cheerful tone and relief. Of the two alien races encountered today, neither was hostile. Luck was with them.

They would want to be notified immediately, and so with no further delay, a SCN link was made with Greywatch Prime. It would be completely undetectable to anyone else in the area which might make for an interesting conversation, how many races can get in touch with their governments instantly while being probably half a galaxy away? No matter, that was something for later. For the moment, some diplomats would have to be readied, that was protocol, the council didn't need to tell the captain to do that. After all that was done and out of the way, the Explorer began sending the basic greeting to the Sertians; explaining what they were doing there, that they meant no harm, and such.

The Pride started to turn, returning home, and messaging the Greywatch to follow.

The Explorer hit thrusters and matched speed, following its new friends.

"Sir, we've got one of the alien destroyers returning to what might be their home world, the other unknown faction is following them, shall we stay in formation next to the destroyer that's not moving?" the tactical officer asked as the holographic map zoomed out, displaying the planet the destroyer and Greywatch vessel where heading towards.

"Yes, remain in position next to this destroyer... However, let's move a bit to come up besides them, no sense in remaining in front of them, however..." the commander on duty stroked his chin, thinking and plotting, "We have a droid frigate on our ship right? Deploy it and keep it a few thousand kilometers away from the Marzeron planet, stealth mode of course."



The ships shifted, the engines lighting up to turn the vessels moving to come up in a peaceful position next to the two-kilometer long vessel, removing them from the range of their main canons. However, in this position a single frigate just over thirty meters slipped out of the Sertian destroyer, slipping into the Drift to reappear in far orbit around the alien planet, the ship quickly closing its wings and deploying its stealth fields.
