"That's it from us two this week, now here's a brief summary of the week's top stories." said Vic Sterns, BN24's top male news anchor on his weekly show.

WAR ON THE BLACKHELM CONFEDERACY

"Allanea has began rallying support for a 'counter assault' on the Blackhelmians. The Blackhelm Confederates unsuccessfully launched a naval assault on the Allaneans in territorial waters, now with the Blackhelm navy in ruins they seek to finish the 'ruthless privateers' once and for all. As it stands, at least four nations have pledged support to Allanea, and President Burte is himself considering what action to take on the matter." explained his co-host, Tricia Bendock.

SNOWPEC

"The Tocrowkia Reich has annouced today for plans of a new economic alliance for artic nations. In a statement made today a spokesman for the alliance explained the reasoning: 'To benefit from the profits, prevent fraud and keep prices low.' Details are sketchy, but it should mean that prices will come down in indoor snow slopes." Said Vic, slightly annoyed he got the lighthearted story.

OPEN CIRCLE FEDERATION RETURNS

"One year ago, the Open Circle Federation attacked the capital of Anemos Major, threatening to use anthrax on the city. It was discovered they had no anthrax, and after several attempts the terrorists surrendered, and were killed." Tricia began. "However, this week, they have returned to the same city, the same spot, on the same day. This time, with Anthrax. All Burtilanian civilians have been evacuated from the country, and none have been killed or injured. Several nations have deployed special forces to aid in the defeat of the cell, latest reports suggest that the terrorists have been cornered." Vic finished.

WHERE ARE THE APB?

"Government officials and Military leaders alike are concerned with the lack of activity by the so-called 'Armed Protectors of Burtilana.' Over the past year and a half, things have been quiet with no attempted attacks, and little known movment. Some hopeful MPs are suggesting that they have quietly disbanded, though others believe otherwise. There has been some evidence pointing to them still being active, a shipment of arms was intercepted, and subsequently sank recently by the Burtilanian Navy. The Defence Minister, High General Valdi Thraag, believes that it is just the calm before the storm, and has urged the Finance Minister, Francine King, to up the military budget. No matter what happens though, we can all feel assured that we have some of the world's finest combatants and minds protecting us." Vic said, sternly.

"Until next week viewers!" Tricia exclaimed, "now for a quick weather summary."
