Two long years had passed. Development on the SKYNET computer had been a slow, tedious process, requiring almost 10,000 workers to bring it's inevitable completion. Originally met with much scepticism and caution by other nations, the People's Republic of Falkasian remained steadfast on it's development and implementation. The time ahd finally come to put it into action.

6:43 AM, Undisclosed Bunker in Falkasia
In a relatively large, windowless, and well lit room deep inside a bunker in Falkasia sat servers. These servers, colorfully decorated by their multi-colored operating lights and script code feedouts, lined the walls of the room on both sides.

These machines were unimportant, as the true prize sat solemnly and alone in the middle of the room. It was very unremarkable from the outside, resembling an oversized civilian power transformer. It was bluish-grey in color, and the only thing that made it look different from an oridinary piece of utility equipment was a small monitor console built into one side.

However, on the inside, the SKYNET computer was a thing of beauty. An endless network of precise circutry and motherboards, painsakingly constructed and installed piece by piece over a two year period. Every possibly precaution had been taken to insure the quality of their work, and the fact that the rare possiblity of the computer going rogue would not happen.

Two men were hunched in front of SKYNET's single console, each bearing numerous gold chevrons and medals denoting their status in the Falkasian Military. These men were veteran members of the Special Forces group Black Talon, the best of the best in Falkasia. They had been tasked, along with a good portion of the Black Talon company, to protect the computer at all costs.

"So, is everything prepared?" asked one of the men to the other, his face slightly glowing with the bluish tinge of the console screen.

"Should be sir. The other stations have called in. They're all set up and ready to go."

"Go. Let's make one last check here first."

"Roger that sir."

One of the men got up and walked over to a door along the back wall of the room. He turned the knob and opened the door, granting him access to what looked like a control room. Inside this room were three technicians, meticulously monitoring more computers.

The soldier walked out of the room shortly there after, shooting the other soldier a thumbs up.
"We're ready to go," he said, trying to surpress his anxiousness while reassumnig his position next to his buddy.

"Good. Would you like the honors?"

"Most definiately sir."

The two soldiers stared at the console, holding their breath. History was upon them, and they had the power to choose what to do. Slowly, their hands moved towards a bright red power switch next to the console. They flicked it, and everything went dark.

15 Minutes Before Activation of Falkasian SkyNET Defense System

"Sir, the last anti-ballistic missile batteries around Rostgard have checked in. We're as ready as we're going to be," spoke Colonel Robert Hawkings of the Salzland Strategic Defense Command. Upon receiving twelve hours of notice prior to the activation of the Falkasian SkyNET Defense System, as requested, every domestic and foreign strategic and tactical missile defense system possessed by Salzland was placed on maximum alert.

AIs had gone rogue in the past and though Salzland was willing to trust that Falkasia had taken every precaution possible, the mere potential for a sentient computer program to lock out human beings and comandeer control of Falkasia's ICBMs had everyone on edge. The next few days would be the crucible; either the new Falkasian system would work as designed and the world would return to normal, or SkyNET would attempt to unleash nuclear Armageddon on the world. Either way, Salzland would be more than prepared to meet either eventuality.

"Very good, Colonel. Let me know the second that countdown ends. Advise the President that now would be a good time for him to get airborne, and to activate our Continuity of Government plans, in case the worst should happen. All we can do now is wait," replied General Victor Dawes. The fate of the world could very well be determined once the fifteen minute countdown ended.

Beatusian Radio Broadcast

"Your listening to KAPL, Apocalypse Radio, we are now four minutes away from the activation of the Skynet system, and we are continuing our special broadcast. This one goes out to all of you out there hiding in your bomb shelters," the DJ finished. Then the song, Eve of Destruction, by Barry Mcguire began to play. When the song finished the DJ came back on, "That was Eve of Destruction, by Barry Mcguire, and boy are we all thinking the same thing. Well, we are just seconds away from the launching of the Falkasia Skynet system. Well, I guess this is it, I'm going to leave you now, with the song, "the End", by the Doors." The song began, within seconds of the scheduled launching of the Skynet system.

The room was suddenly illuminated by a piercing red light as the bunker's alarms went off. Over the ceaseless ringing came a voice over the intercom.

"Secruity Alert, Security alert! Our servers have been compromised!"

Still in front of the SKYNET computer, the two soldiers sprung into action. They reached for their weapons nearby and exiting the room, dashing off towards the control center of the bunker. All the while they ran, the red siren lights cast eerie glows across the concrete hallways of the complex, reminiscient of a typical Cold War crisis. However, beknownst to every last man and woman inside the base, this was probably far mor ethan a nuclear attack, but a strike at the heart of Falkasia by a computer turned rogue AI.

Upon reaching the command center, the two soldiers noticed that the area had become a warzone. Sandbags and concrete barricades had been set up, in case of the possibility of an invasion. They had no idea if there were foreign soldiers just outside the facility, due to a major construction error in the early 70's when the bunker was constructed. Once the main blast-door was sealed, those inside were isolated. However, back then they didn't have very high-quality radios that likely couldn't have penetrated the thick, concrete walls of the fortification. Try as they might, the current radios installed in the command center weren't working, and were only recieving static.

As the two soldiers entered through a thick, steel gateway and into the nerve center of the base, they assumed command and began gvivng out orders.

"Status report!"

"Sir, we've been compromised. Our security network is no longer functioning, or has been disabled somehow."

"Any idea who... or what... is behind this?"

"Yes sir, we can say for relative certainty that it was not the computer."

"Then what is it?"

"Sir, it was disabled from inside the base...."

OOC: I do kind of feel like this towards you, Falk. This is getting rather ridiculous-you're going around doing PMT stuff every second. However, this RP is just my issue with you, and magnified to a ridiculous scale. Somebody needs to be funny in this thread. Jeez. And I haven't really checked out your storefronts, so that part is made up. And no, I am not declaring war on you.

"Dude, those n00bs!" screamed Premier Duke Andrew da Vincho, head of state of Kenavt, surfing the web.

"What the heck is it now," muttered his brother and aide, Kevin.

"Those Falkasian guys-running stupid defence corporations that are ridiculously out of budget, building 'the world's tallest building', now SKYNET! They've got a good propaganda system. However, perezhilton.ken isn't fooled."

"SKYNET?"

"Yah, it's some AI computer that they've come up with, and has now supposedly has half the world on apocalyptic doom predictions."

"OK then.. what ya gonna do about it?" Kevin questioned. "I can get the decision out fast."

"I'm gunna give the Falkasian head of state a piece of my mind!" declared Andrew, opening up his Outlook Express program.

Hello Falkasian HoS;

You have some issues. World's Tallest Building, the "Universal Defence Storefront", and now SKYNET. Get a grip on yourself-do you spend a trillion dollars a year in your propaganda department?

Stop lying to the international populace, like you do to your people. This is getting ridicoulous. You have a three thousand foot building, the worst "state-owned" defence corporation I have seen in my life, and now SKYNET.

Let me get this clear. SKYNET does not exist. You are merely trying to make a name for yourself in this tightly contested international community. You are making countries spend billions of dollars, for lies.

STOP. I am serious. STOP. Get attention the right way... actually, I don't know what the right way is. But what you are doing is wrong.

Deep within the recesses of the Policoti, Graith Dr'klow was convening with the Politburo.
"Friends, allies, it has come to my attention that Falkasia is preparing to use a computer system, which shall control their entire military systems. I fear that this shall backfire, but this may be to our advantage. While we have had a very good relationship with Falkasia, except for that war, I see an opportunity. I bring to your attnetion the possibility to bring the world to its knees: We should send a single person to capture SKYNET, which is the name of this system, and control it. With this, we can bring the world its knees. What say you?" He said with a shout on the last sentence. Yelling out, "What say you!" only emphasized this more.
A vast majority of the representatives gave their assent to this, whith the exception of the minister of international affairs, and the military minister. They feared for this, and so had a dark, almost pained, look about them. This would not end well.
