Lynion

The year was 3018 and Humantiy has expanded across Earth in every direction. However, with corruption on the rise, nations at war and the possible threats of a nuclear war, the Vamperial Kingdom of Lynion had started to colonised one of the distance systems using hyper-drive to get there. Under the new leadership of King Lanakan and King Ranakain, they built a massive space fleet that was going to take them to their new system which they have started to colonised.
However, Lynion wasn't the only one to leave. Under pressure by the Humans, the nations of Imperial Fungi and Imperial Australia disbanded VATO and travelled to the stars in search of new worlds to live on. With little contact between Imperial Fungi and Lynion, Lynion started to re-open travel routes to Imperial Australia after rumours started that a race from Earth had wiped out another species.
3050-3109 saw peace reign between Imperial Australia and Vamperial Kingdom of Lynion. With the friendship expanding every day, Lynion was considering in deploying several forward bases around the two systems that Imperial Australia lives in and Vamperial Kingdom of Lynion dewells. Within 10 years, Lynion had colonised nearly all its planets in the Lynion System.
3110 began the war. During a conference between Imperial Australia and Vamperial Kingdom of Lynion, a forward outpost was lost on the edge of the Australian System. It was during this time that Imperial Australia dispatched a squadron of cruisers and battle cruisers to inspect the damage. During the final stage of the conference, the room was interuppted when a holographic call came over the holographic com in the room. King Lanakan and Imperial Australian President Macus Bush watched a wounded captain report back to base about a creature that was capturing the crew and then using them to re-produce. It ends with a creature smashing the controls and the man being cut down the middle. Two seriously damaged cruisers made it back and they told a tale of creatures known as the Fungi were wiping them out before they could get their rounds into them. In unity of their treaty, Imperial Australia and Vamperial Kingdom of Lynion banded together and they would end the war quickly within two years. It never happened.
3110-3210 saw the Fungi War was waged on for a hundred years. However, if the Australian System in danger and the homeworld being overrun by the Fungi, the Lynions developed a weapon that would kill the Fungi faster. Napalm plasma rounds were created and they halted down the Fungi but they could never kill enough.
3210 saw the grim day for Imperial Australia. After Lynion Forces were forced to withdraw from the Australian System while evacuating civilians and what few military personnal could be found, all communications with the homeworld of Imperial Australia, Australia, was lost. With reports of Imperial Fungi elements retreating to their home system, the Vamperial order dispatched a fleet of warships to the planet of Australia to find out about the situation. The fleet arrived at Australia only to be met with a silent planet. They sent several parties down but all they found were butchered men, women and children everywhere. However, there was one suvivour found. It was only a child and it said the most chilling words: "Lynion...is next...on...their list..." muttered the boy before dying in the arms of the officer that found him.
The fleet returned to the planet Lynion and reported in about the situation. However, even though they found the planet butchered, there was a faint sign of hope. Among the records that were found on the planet, there was a confirmed report of a fleet that was created by Imperial Australia naval shipyards that could match any Fungi warship three times over. King Lanakan then ordered a fleet of warships be sent to the last known position of this 'Mystery Fleet' and send it back so they could use the technology against the Fungi. What he didn't know, the trip would take longer than anyone thought.
3211-3221 saw the start of Lynion Worlds being attacked. Fungi Forces had taken the outer rim worlds and were forced to stop half way into the attacks for unknown reasons. It was during this period that Lynion successfully wiped out two Fungi controlled worlds. However, their victory was short lived as they were called back to Lynion when the Defensive Worlds around the homeworld were under direct attacked. Lynscert World is the last remaining defensive world and the last world to be taken before the homeworld of Lynion and its moons could be attacked.
3225 saw the Defence of the Outer Worlds end and the Battle for Lynscert and Lynion begin. However, because of the lack of man power, Fungi elements couldn't make a dent in the Lynscert Battle Network. Fungi Forces backed off to a nearby world and started the quick reproduction circle that created more troops for them to use. However, in order to avoid allies of Lynion intervein with the war, Fungi Warships start to partol the system and any ship entering the system were to be considered Lynion and destoryed.
The Vamperial Order took command and the two planets were put under Vamperial Order law (OOC: like Marshal Law) until the Fungi War ended. The kings had limited power but all the power went into the Vamperial Order. With new weapons being produced, it would be a matter of time before they broke out of the Blockard around Lynscert and Lynion. However, word was coming back to Lynion that the Imperial Australian fleet that was built was coming back to assist them in the counter-attacks.
In desperation to make the Fungi look back, the Lynion's managed to dispatch a powerful fleet of warships towards the main port of where the Fungi warships could be found. 5 Heavy Assault Cruisers slipped under the radar and managed to find the nearby major naval port. With a weapon installed on one of the cruisers, the 4 heavy assault cruisers escorted the flagship to as close as they could towards the shipyard before being attacked. The flagship was too badly damaged and couldn't escape as it fired a missile that wiped out the dockyard and the five Lynion cruisers. The explosion could be picked up at the edge of the system and maybe beyond but Lynion weren't counting on other planets to come to their aid. With the Fungi dockyard in complete destruction, it would only delay the attacks for another year or two.
Note: Lynion and Lynscert Planets are found on the edge of the system not in the centre. The Imperial Australian system has being converted to a major Fungi re-production centre which can be used to re-supply their forces in the Lynion System. Also, with the Fungi dockyard destoryed, the Fungi offensive is going to be delayed for some time because thats where most of the warships were.
