The City-State of Steelios holds control over a not inconsiderable portion of what was once Stilianos. While not actively attempting to end the ongoing feuds there, the current Warlords advisory staff is bringing it to his attention that his army is understrength and under supplied. Therefore, he has decided to import weapons and armor.

Due to the small size of the Steel Arm, as it is called, body armor will be essential. The terrain is mostly hills and plains, with only one or two notable mountains and light forest density. This being the case, most can get around on riding dogs, and vehicles are in less demand.

Finally, cheap, low maintenance weapons are required. The majority of the active military is making do with old bolt-actions and outdated sub-machine guns. AK-47s are popular where they can be found, but there aren't enough to go around since a battle over an ammo dump went sour for the Warlord.

We request that, if this is at all successful, you bring us cost-effective items only. Our coffers are not full enough to buy more powerful, more expensive weapons.

The Aperture Science Arms Division is currently looking to field-test a line of new body armors. These armors, composed of the latest polymer/ceramic technology, provide full body protection and include simple modification kits to allow for NBC protection, night operations, and a variety of environment specific loadouts and camouflages.
The armor is fully-body, protecting a soldier from the feet to the neck, with the addition of a helmet full-face in certain loadouts. Weight is minimized by the use of lightweight polymer and alloy castings, with ceramics protecting only vital areas. The polymer and alloy portions will stop mid-range standard small-arms fire, as well as small shrapnel, although they are not rated for close-range fragmentation devices, land mines, and armor-piercing and/or incendiary ammunition.
Each suit comes with standard squad-level communications equipment, battlefield GPS locator (linked with the Aperture Science GPS system), build in water bladder, and a number of customizable pockets and pouches.
As this armor has not been field tested, we are willing to provide it at a cost of USD200 per unit plus the cost of shipping.

Please note that while they have yet to be field tested, each unit of armor has been extensively tested in the Aperture Science Military Equipment Testing Center. Destruction tests have yielded data which notes that, under lab conditions, human subjects survived up to %70 longer in adverse conditions while wearing the armor.
For example, in tests with subjects wearing standard military uniform, only %12 survived the length of the Aperture Science Military Equipment Enrichment Center Testing Course, whereas over %55 survived while wearing the Aperture Science Standard Combat Armor.

[OOC: With a terrain like rolling hills, plains, and light forests, you'd be best to delay the APCs for a while and concentrate on a robust armored force. You've got prime cavalry terrain. With out a good battle tank, an enemy that plays like the Soviet Union will tank rush you to utter dam-my-nation.]

Firstly, the entire warzone is the approximate size of Texas, and is split into nearly five hundred factions(Not including alliances between them). Right now, the Steel Arm is looking for body armor and small arms for them to put on the front lines immediately, and vehicles to transport them. The faction doesn't have the funds to buy enough tanks to be useful, and doesn't even hold the open areas. When I described it as mostly like holls and plains, I meant the area AROUND Steelios. Steelios itself is mostly forested mountains, which is why, as an obviously underfunded organization, it has survived. The area is easily defensible, set on Big Iron, brother mountain of Little Iron.

Secondly, body armor is the FIRST priority, as there are only 1500 combat ready soldiers(30,000 total) in the Steel Arm.It has been in this state since the last large scale battle, in which three factions attempted to take Big Iron at once, none allies with eachother. It was at this point that Steelios lost the largest weapons factory they possessed, though most losses were taken trying to take it back. Due to their small numbers, the military has adopted hit and run tactics, and long term strategy, focusing on preservation of life. It should be noted that the Colonel in command was summarily executed buy his second-in-command for "Reckless abandonment of strategy and needless loss of life". It should also be noted that the Colonel in question was at fault.

The Consitutional State of Goldaron has taken notice of the conflicts raging in the region once known as the nation of Stalanos. In the spirit of restoring regional stability we would like to make an offer to the city state known as Steelios.

Goldaron would be ready and willing to provide the Steel Arm with the Vrykolakas Modular Assault Weapon (http://saintb.proboards78.com/index.cgi?board=guns&action=display&thread=8) and stocks of ammunition, training in the use of the modular weapon system and perhaps combat tactics would be provided by advisory forces of temporarily embedded special forces from our Goldan Lions and Ground Area Recon forces.

In return, Goldaron would like to see peaceful negotians begin between Steelios and other city-states come underway with the long term goal of establishing recognized boundaries and perhaps in time a singular nation
