Since it's arrival on the international stage, the Free Republic has always been curious about other nations, and President Andrew Stinson and his wife (Adelaide Stinson) have ordered this message sent out in advance of their tour of foreign nations.

The first thirty (30) nations with confirmed responses to this message will be included on the list of nations that our President and First Lady will visit during their tour. Increased diplomatic relations are entirely possible with the nations involved in this multi-national tour, with possible follow up. Again, only those nations with the first 30 confirmed replies will be considered, so please do not delay.

Prime Minister Melanie C. Aerynn was tired, very tired. It had been a long, draining Parliament session- plenty of debates, verbal sparring, and decision-making. They had gotten through the approval of an open-skies deal with several airline carriers, an extradition deal, sorted out the different budgets for each Ministry- Religion and Spirituality got no money at all again- it always happened, Erid'Lor was a relatively liberal country in terms of policy and religion was left to itself except when it attacked other things- and she chuckled, thinking of the two Sopric Church Action Party Members of Parliament who had been outraged and filibustered until the time was up for the debate and they had to be ushered back to their seats, faces beet red, sweating, pushing back the Parliament Guards who were escorting them, and generally making a nuisance of themselves.

Of course, there remained five proposals. The first was the matter of inviting the Lamonians to Erid'Lor, and now the debate was here.

Her close friend, Parliament Speaker Candace Tolorikin, and fellow Erid'Lor Progressive Party member, not to mention Executive5 member and leader of the Parliament, stood up and called for order; the break was over, and lawmakers in somber business suits had returned to their seats from the hall outside which had refreshments.

Now that all eyes were fixed attentively on her- save for a few who whispered and murmured upon themselves- Candace stated clearly, reading from the screen before her, "The Lamonian-Eridite Visitation Foreign Affairs Bill." Holding back a smile at the long-windedness of another ELPP Parliamentary friend, she continued, "'This communique sent to Lamoni will establish contact between our nations and will invite them to send their president over to Erid'Lor to tour us.' That is all for the proposal; the debate begins."

Silence.

Silence.

People gradually started to laugh, and so did Tolorikin; with no debate, she said, "In that case, we will vote now and get this proposal done with. Please vote using your electronic computerized seat system, thanks."

Some of the lawmakers instantly pressed the button for one of the three options; some of them thought for a while, and some of them weren't even present.

Once all the votes were counted, Tolorikin released the results.

"FOR received 191 votes. AGAINST received 5 votes. ABSTAIN received 2 votes; there were two Members of Parliament absent. Let's move on to next proposal, folks."

Leaning over to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Esmeralda Lee, Candace said, "When we're done here you'll do it, aye?"
