At Cormond International Airport:

A plain white airliner taxis down the taxiway to take off. On board are the Prime minister and staff of 20 headed to The Kingdom of Grasaland to reinsure the countrymen of that great nation that the kingdom of Imbrinium was not a dictatorship and that peace and freedom of all nations is the upmost importance to Imbrinium’s government.
Sir Konstantinos Stephanos while waiting to take off on this very important mission that the king asked him to oversee, I’m wondering how we look to the people of Grasaland? Do they think where nuclear warmongers god I hope not I think every war we have been in has been to fight against tyranny. I’ll start work on my speech when we get in the air.

As the white airliner rose into the evening sky, the future relations of both countries where on the PM mind.

Norglich (Capital City):

The corridors were alive this morning; it seemed every civil servant was on the move. All carrying documents, files and briefcases as they ran passed him.

"Good morning Minister" said one, he nodded his reply. "Ah Good Morning Minister".

"It’s never a good morning on a visit" said Philip Naslund. "Quite Minister, the cars are waiting and the PM is delayed five minutes, the airport security has been raised, the intelligence file is on your desk, the MOD is reporting no sustainable threats, the GSF have searched the route twice and are currently going through the third and the Police have mobilised nearly every officer. Oh and in this folder are your schedule, security pass, and a translation pack and your speech."

Philip starred back from his tired eyes, its going to be a long day he thought.

"To the cars Minister?"

The Pilot comes over the speaker.

“Ladies and Gentlemen we have just entered the outer marker of the Airport in the Capital City of Norglich we should be landing in a few minutes please list to your flight attendant for landing instructions. Thank you.”
One of the PM’s aids asks the PM.

“Sir Stephanos what do you think awaits us on the ground?”

“You think they’ll be protestors?”

Stephanos replies

“I don’t really know what to expect I’m sure there will be some who don’t want our military in their country but who wouldn’t expect that I could see our nation doing the same if this were Imbrinium accepting a foreign military base.”
“My concern isn’t so much the protestors of the military base as is how they see our country; I hope my visit and speech can start a change in the way we are seen in this nation.”

Aid “Well I guess we’ll soon find out sir”

Stephanos “Yes we will, we will indeed”

"All in all I think it should be a good day Prime Minister" said Philip confidently, trying to ignore the pattering of rain now hitting the car windows.

"Yes hopefully, the only..." he was cut off mid sentence, the convoy of ministerial cars and Police Vans had just reached the outer area of Norglich International Airport. The normally quiet grass verges where filled with probably 1000 protestors.

"Warmonger" shouted one, "No Nukes" shouted another, Christian Bjørnson smiled back and waved like any blind politician would, and he turned to Philip.

"How’s the protest going? Any arrests, violence or attempted break-ins?" he said inquisitively

"Well the Ministry of the Interior file was full of detailed police reports and err they said ummm......" Luke, Philips Private Secretary sitting opposite them jumped to the Ministers aid.

"There have been arrests but no more then 10 as of this morning and one attempted break in but that was stopped by the Airport Security and 5 people were arrested under the Terror Act."

Christian took in the wealth of information but turned and starred blankly at his Secretary of Foreign Affairs, "why don't I just employ civil servants instead of ministers" he thought.

The Cars passed another group of protesters this time herded into a more organised rabble by several hundred Police, further up the road they passed a large amount of Riot Police awaiting their moment.

"Who else is in attendance?" said Christian this time directing the question to Luke

"The Secretary of State, The Secretary of Defence & Homeland Security, The Secretary of Trade & Development, The Ambassador To Imbrinium and of course the Secretary of Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister. As well as a large proportion of Media from both our two countries and some international."

Finally they passed by the final group of protesters and through the airport gates and parked outside the VIP lounge, awaiting them already was an already wet honouree guard of the Royal Grasalandik Air force, An RGAF Band, several dozen specially selected press trying to shelter from the now heavy rain and a rabble of Ministers each holding umbrella's.

"Oh" said the PM turning to his Secretary of Foreign Affairs

"I was going to say the only thing that is a worry is that their PM thinks that the opinion of several opposition MP's is that of our government and the nation".

"Well" butted in Luke "The opinion polls suggest that it is the view of the err nation..." his voice tailed off as the disapproving eyes met his.

"Shall we go in Prime Minister, Minister?"

As the plane rolled to a stop, the DSS agents prepared themselves to get into positions as fast as they could.
The Prime minister looked out of the window and seen the crowds of people.

“I sure hope not all of them are here to protest against us.”
As the doors opened and the DSS agents stepped out, four SUV’s pulled up with the diplomatic staff from the embassy to greet them, get ready for the Grasaland PM, and staff.

Good morning, Mr. Prime Minister it is an honor to have you visit, my staff is willing to help in any way possible in these talks.

The Grasaland PM and staff should be here in a few minutes they will go over who, what, when, and where with you and your aid. We will take care of sir the rest of your staff.

“That you ambassor it’s been a long flight. How are they treaty you here? How’s the Food?”

“Their great here sir the food is wonderful still haven’t tried everything yet”

“How’s you golf game coming along?”

“Not bad I’ll try to get us a game in while you’re here sir”

“That would be wonderful”

The car door opened and the PM stepped out quickly followed by two GSF agents.

"Prime Minister how good it is to see you, and let me welcome you to our country" he said his face beaming with smiles. "Please this way beckoning towards the car."

Secretary of Foreign Affairs stepped forward to greet the other staff, "Hello and welcome to Grasaland, my Private Secertary will now give you all copies of the day events."

Luke stepped forward "Now the PM's are going to head to the VIP lounge where there will be a short Presenting of arms and the RGAF band will play our nation anthems. Then there will be a short photo op and a few words before heading into the lounge for a more informal chat between the two."

"Any questions?" said Philip looking back at the various embassy and government officals?

The Prime minister answered

“It’s wonderful to be here I’ve often wanted to come to your great nation for vacation and now I finally get to see your nation.”

“I can only hope I get to see some of your wonderful nation, and meet some of your people.”

The prime minster waved at the crowds not know or caring if they were there to protest or to see him. Then walked to the awaiting cars to begin a historical meeting.
