Considering how my recent RPing have been nearly complete failures. I was planning to give it another shot. I was wondering if anyone was interested in a modern "300" only having more like 5000 soldiers. We'll work out the numbers here and have sign ups. If you're signing up, you are joining the defense. If you join the offense, prepare to be g-modded the f*** out of.

Storyline:

Basically, some 10 billion man nation (Endikar Empire) decides to invade Ascelonia and a few other countries. Ascelonia, is fortunately far away, but a protectorate sits right next to the huge nation. This is the story of peacekeeping troops within that country guarding the protectorate.

oh yeah... the 1,200,000 soldiers sent by the Endikar Empire are just expeditionary forces.

A poor excuse to gain a victory. With bullets, there is no "300". I was originally going to think about joining to show you want manpower can do to 300 men, but with your godmodding I decided not to.

Let's say you have 300 men with M16A2s or M4s, and I have 5,600 men with AK47s and heavy artillery as "archers". You would be dead within the initial artillery barrage, not to mention that one wave of men would kill you off.

Look. They're gonna lose in the end, but they're gonna take down plenty of others along with them.

I should've mentioned the attacking forces are a lot less advanced. Artillery will be up against Tactical High Energy Lasers.


EDIT: besides, you're not gonna send clusterfuck in with guns blazing because that WILL end up like 300. You're gonna sustain lots of casualties.

The 300 stuff will be the opening phase of the war. I will only godmod the 300 stuff.

The Endikar Empire utilizes 1940s weapons.

And tactical numerical superiority is everything. Holding a static line of defense at all costs is quite idiotic for most situations in modern combat. This article by Macabees is a good example of how to succeed in asymmetric warfare:

Yeah... that's not really the plan. The 300 will be all about a huge battle for the expeditionary forces of the Endikar Empire. They will eventually slaughter all of the defenders, but at a high price.

To be honest, Russia and China are quite well trained. Perhaps not as well as the American forces, but their sheer numbers plus their good training would probably be at least a match for American.

Yeah I know, I love Russia, so big and so awesome, but I guess that to would be a bad example, idk ok, but training beats numbers any day lol

Void Templar can have modern technology, but Endikar Empire will be very outdated like Persians versus Spartans.

I would just like to put in that I could guaruntee that Ruussia could win in a fight between them and the U.S. Its simple. If you get straight down to it, we lost in Vietnam because of the Veit-Kong hit-and-run tactics. I bet they could roll us over with their Spetnaz units because they could use hit-and-run.

Even with a straight-up gun battle between the M-16 and th AK-47, the AK-47 would win. It has a larger bullet and is more reliable. I am an American and I love what this country stands for, but I just don't think that we could hold our own against overwhelming forces.

P.S. What about the Athenian Navy. They had a hand in the 300 squad by blocking off the route to flank the Greeks?
