It's that time, time for them to pick the new Prime Minister of Neko-Opolis with several candidates across the spectrum it will be hard to chose. As such every media outlet is allowed to come into the country and report as they please.

Our Candidates are in order of their application by party:

Neko Capital Party:
Party Stance: The NCP is a pro business pro capitalist party. Many party members are business owners from large to small. They generally favor little to no income tax and belive in free trade with nations.

Nominees:

1: Marina Inoue (NCP)
Age: 25
Experience: Two Years in the Senate, ran for mayor of her town but lost.

Platform:

Domestic:
An income tax cap of 5%. In otherwords, no income tax rate when applied may go beyond 5%. In Neko-Opolis there is generally no income tax but it is ocasionally applied to supply extra capital to the Government. There is no current cap but Inoue feels it's time for that to be changed.

Strong rebates for Small businesses

Provided new and extra funding to weather Centers, including tax deductions for storm chasers and hunters. This past Spring a deadly Tornado ripped through the capital city with little warning.
Begin a nationwide Charity Act

International:
Expand the nations sphere of influence by interacting with more and more nations. Pay no mind to any anti-furry bluffs and discussions.
Provide more humanitarian aid where needed
Begin protection of small and poor states
Promote free trade agreements

2: Kazu Aihara (NCP)
Age: 33
Experience: City Mayor of the Capitol City, began as a Senator at 20

Platform:

Domestic: Want's a Zero Income Tax policey
Roll back taxes for all citizens
Wants the Government to take control of Airlines, Railways and Bus sytems
Want's a price cap on oil
Is offering a 50 Million Credit Reward to the best Alternative Fuel design within 10 years.
Wants to abolish the Royal Department of Revenue Collection (RDRC)
Wants stronger copyright laws, will introduce a Digital Copy Right Bill to protect artists online

Neko Conservative Coalition (NCC)
Party Stance: A group of mostly religious groups dedicated to makeing Neko-Opolois a morally sound state. The party is fairly diverse in it's opinions but many still share the same ideas.

Experience: Retired School Teacher, Mayor at 25 served in office for three years then became a teacher.

Platform:

Domestic:
Feels very strongly that Corperal Punishment should be mandatory. It is currently an optional practice for students and schools.

Tax rebates for young married college students with no history of unruly behavior.

Raise the drinking and smoking age to 21

International:

Very selective international relations

Be more brash bold and threatning to gain respect

Expand the sphere of influence by annexing new lands and territories.

2: Eriko Tomoaki
Age: 22
Experience: One year on the senate

Platform:

Domestic:

Pose a tax on domestic Secular Organizations (i.e. Neko Secular Society, Atheists Organization, Nekos Against Religion in Government)

Keep religious organizations tax free

Introduce an optional Bible Study Course in schools

Maintain Evolution is a mere scientific theory and is unproven, give students an optional leave from class, when learning Evolution in school

International:
Maintain same policey, maybe expand Neko-Opolis more

Neko State Workers Party (NSWP)
Party Stance: A mostly Socialist Party with a few Communist members. Don't like the Capitalist Stance of the Government. Want more social welfare and a solid income tax.

The only nominee this year:

Yosuke Miyamoto
Age: 30

Platform:

No more tax deductions for fortune 500 companies, put more into the working class

De-Privatize most of the current private services such as transportation and healthcare

International

Avoid any intagling alliances
Limite Trade

The Christian Alliance of AHSCA-Animalpolis would like to offer it's extended welcoming and help for Eriko Tomoaki.

The Revolutionary Empire of The Ryou Black Islands surports Yosuke Miyamoto and will donate $400,000 for Miyamoto's Campaign.

The government of the USSB fully supports Yosuke Miyamoto, We feel it is a good thing that the NSWP has only put forward one nominee, that means that supporters do not have to choose who to choose, meaning he will getmore votes. To aid the NSWP campaign, the USSB donates $400,000. Good luck.

The Divine Dictatorship does admire Mr. Miyamoto for chosing to run, however we must give most of our support to Ms. Tomoaki and her conservative friends. We will donate a sume of $25,000 to her and her party.

The United Kingdom Of Ustio North wishes to donate $500,000 to Kazu Aihara's campaign, and wishes him the best of luck.

"Who will win the dead heated election of 2008? So far the polls are still showing a dead heat race between Marina Inoue, Yosuke Miyamoto. With many contributions to both of their campaings the candidates have been on the tour rounding up votes from everyone they can. Inoue trying to win over conservative voters from Tomaki while Miyamoto is trying to continue on getting the working class vote. Today Miyamoto visted one of the villages that lie just on the outskirts of Oykott city, one of the areas hit hardest by the deadly tornado that roared through this past spring. Miyamoto was working to encourage every citizen, even the illterate in the area to get out and vote."

"What failed them in the case of their education was their innexperience, unsympathetic educators. The educators did not have a passion to help them overcome that block that prevented them from learning. In the case of the tornado, what failed them was the broken warning system, not the capitalist system. We need better warning systems and on top of that, we need to start educating our citizens better about the kind of disasters that happen in our communities.

It was just in response to your comment about needing more votes. If you don't get enogh for a majority, then just form a coaltion goverment. They make for more interesting RP's as you have conflicting goals. Sorry for trying to be helpfull.
