((OOC: Spider silk is actually weaker than Kevlar. Kevlar is about five times stronger than steel, whereas, spider silk is equivalent to high-grade steel.))

OOC:Ya but the spider silk is knitted by a classified machine which knits the silk so tight to the point where the stiches are invisible even inder a microscope, giving the silk added strength, also the spider silk is microknitted with kevlar furthering the bulletproof properties.

((OOC: If it was knitted that tight, it'd be incredibly vulnerable to sharp objects.

I think my Counter-Ballistics Gel suits and whatnot are more effective, as they cost next to nothing and have protection far stronger than Interceptors/Dragon Skin.))

OOC- Kevlar is pretty heavy though. Spider silk isn't.

OOC:When we make the threads we use 2 microfibers of kevlar and three micro fibers of spider silk to make every stich.

OOC: I'll keep a watch on this and see how the discussion goes. We're using Lyras's Dauntless suits for our regular army but this light armour might suit our reserve forces an Bureaucrats.

OOC:
Unfortunatly you NEED a hard ceramic to reliably stop rifle calibre rounds. Kevlar, spectra or any woven/non woven fexlible armour no matter how exotic or super high tech it is is at best going to stop pistol rounds, you might get a bit better protection by doping it in sheer hardening material but that isn't goign to take the place of a ceramic layer as used by Dargon Skin or interceptor.

Oh and .50 pistol rounds might not penentrate but the blunt force trauna is goign to be more than likely disabling, not that anyone even uses .50 pistols...

OOC: Except Temperance Brennan.

Oh, and based on the picture, I wouldn't want to get looked at cross-eyed in that vest, much less shot at.

I wouldn't by those Gel-suits because I'd end up eating them. lol.

Also, this vest would help in food: it'd catch flies for hungry soldiers. lol...gross I know.

Having had a chance to consider this product the Grey Bureaucracy has evaluated the CMI prototypre armour as a good choice for non-combatants. Its light weight and flexible nature will serve our bureaucrats well in the future. We would like to place an initial order for 30,000 units and to enquire about the possibilty of aquiring a copy of the classified weaving machine (now that exports are being cancelled).

Please issue our units in grey with no additional pockets.

300USD: 30,000 BDU(s) = $9,000,000

$9,000,000 USD will be wired upon confirmation of the order.
