OOC: OOC comments are welcomed. First of all, I can't post or start a thread in my Fungi account so I'm still trying to figure out what's wrong so in the mean time, I'm going to be posting in Lynion account.

History of Imperial Fungi


The only recorded history starts in the year 1765 when a fleet of English Fleet was presumed missing. However, the English Fleet was shipwecked off the only coast of Fungi against the reef. The number of survivours were around 200 out of the original 356 that were sent to an unknown colony to unload the convicts. However, all 200 souls managed to get ashore and quickly establish camp for the night. It was during the night that the convicts broke free and mugged most of the marines before escaping. When morning broke, the sailor's and marines numbers were bought down to 129 and with little chance of escaping the island.

The last of the group decided it was best they headed inland but they left a small detachment of 34 men behind in case an English ship would past by them. However, it was later found out that the 34 men left behind were ambushed by the natives on the island and killed. The total of surviviours left was now 95 and contiuned through the jungle until finally they came upon an open pit with a city inside of it. The group slowly came over before they were captured by the natives. The natives were slightly friendly however, as they lead the captured English crew members down into the pit, it eventually ended with the crew members being killed and later eaten by the natives.

History picks up again in 1913 when Fungi came into contact with the outside world. They were found by a detachment of Lynion sailors lost at sea. When they came across the vampires and werewolves, they realised that in the world, there was other mutated species except them. It was recorded by the Lynion sailor in his diary that the detachment of 43 Lynion's were greeted warmly by the natives which turned out to be a cross breed of the strength of a bull elephant, some kind of goat and human. The natives were later re-called as some kind of sub-speices to the mythical minator.

The detachment of Lynions were welcomed to the edge of the city cave which was recalled by the natives as a Hive. The natives would later become allies to the Lynion's and the detachment would leave homeward bound.

Unlike the other nations in the world, Imperial Fungi had little to do with the World Wars, the Cold War and other international political conflicts. However, their first war was in 1957 when pirates attacked their shoreline. Filled with rage of the outsiders, the Fungi Minators managed to over come the pirates and sent them back to where they came from.

During the 1970's the Fungi set out to conquer its land and eventually, the Fungi would find out that they were based on an island about the size of India plus a bit larger. The Fungi unifiy the island by conquering and subduing the native tribes of Hawks, Sparrows and eventually the Dragonflies.

With the island under full Fungi control by 1980, the island knew peace for the next ten years while the outside world waged wars and political conflicts. It was during the year 2000 that the Fungi isolation policy was going to be a thing of the past. With more and more pirate attacks on their island, the Fungi turned to the Lynions for help and eventually Imperial Australia. The three nations eventually decided to form a treaty called the Vamperial Alliance Treaty Organisation (VATO). The treaty was aimed at uniting the sub-Human species together to avoid a submission by the Humans.

History has halted in the present year as Fungi is now a strong nation and is determind to forge alliances eventually.

The Fungi Master of the past and the present Era's all had the same policy of numbers when it came to the military forces. The highest number of the population in the military was between 0.2% and 3% with an exception of 5%-7% during times of a World War or invasion of the homeland. However, there was one exception to the military. During times of the population being over 800 million, the military would be forced to stay at a max of 20 million in all areas until either the economy increased or the need for the military were greater.

When the Fungi joined the Vamperial Alliance treaty Organisation (VATO), the Master Fungi and other Fungi Generals gathered in the capital Hive and started to discussed the future of Fungi. It came to argeement that they would limit the number of committed would be about a quarter of the entire force. They also argeed on several other things that would reform the military.

Size of the military

Army

Minators are the bulk of the army and they are fiece fighters. Once engaged, a minator will either fight to the death, be forced to retreat by overwhelming numbers or find another way to defeat its enemy. Each minator has a varity of arms but the chances of engaging one in close combat: very little chance of survival. The weapons a minator will use for melee is an axe or something it finds on the battlefield. Range weapons that are used are heavy assault weapons, assault rifles, pistols, rocket lunachers, small hand bombs and/or a weapon it finds on the battlefield.

Minators numbers: around 2 million

Spider Walkers are the armour of the Fungi Forces. Each Spider Walker is armed with two gatling cannons under its mouth and one artillery piece on the back of the creature. It also can transport a number of minators onboard its bay where the ammo is stored in the middle part of the body. Spider Walkers can range from 18 to 20 foot high. Siege Spider Walkers will be equipped with an additional artillery piece designed to punch a hole through the enemy fortifications but will have no or a smaller bay. In addition to the weaponary onboard, each Spider can use their posion from their fangs or the web that comes out of their rear to form webs to trap enemy forces.

Spiders Walkers numbers: around 1 and a half million

Diggers are another source of quick engineering. The digger is a Human with slight parts of the minator such as the additional thick layer of skin and the enhanced strength. They are used to make fortifications, dig trenches and will take part in battles if they are required. Their only loyality lies in their commanding officer or another Digger that is the ranking CO.

Diggers numbers: around 1 million.

Total in the Army: around 4 and a half million.

Navy

Due to the lack of funding, little knowledge of sea warfare, the Fungi turned to their old ally that once kept their shores safe from the outside world during times of conflict. Little is known about the alliance but it is suggested that the Fungi and their sea allies have a strong bond between them as long as the other is there for them.

Sea Serpents are the minor party in the Fungi Navy. They keep the shores safe from possible invaders, an early warning system for the island and they intend to protect their own and their allies. Don't expect Serpents to hunt in one or two numbers but in packs of up to ten when the threat of invasion or hunting for enemy outsiders. They don't serve as transport units which can explain why the Fungi has little to do with the outside world until the Lynion's found them. When a serpent engage an enemy warship or submarine, they'll either wrap their body around the ship and attempt to pull it down or it'll use a combination of its body and its small two tentacles that are used like a whip to kill any nearby sailors.

Sea Serpents Number: around 500,000

Giant Squids are what make up the bulk of the navy. Not much is known about the alliance the Giant Squids have towards the Fungi but its well known that Giant Squids are in fact allies and best friends towards the Sea Serpents. During battle, Giant Squids have a habit of banding together to bring down large targets such as battleships and aircraft carriers. However, enemy aircraft carriers are expected to be attacked by large groups of up to 20 Giant Squids to just pull down the carrier. Similar to the Sea Serpent, Giant Squids will hunt in the packs of 15 sometimes 20 when they intend to bring down an enemy warship or submarine that intends to threaten their way of life.

Giant Squids Numbers: around 1 and a half million

Navy Total: around 2 million.

Air Force

With no aeroplane technology knowledge or planes made for them, the Fungi were forced to subdue several bird tribes during the unification of the war. However, history hasn't being able to inform us of how they did it or what methods they used but it can be seen that the bird tribes did became friends later in history.

Sparrows are the fighting birds of the skies. Small, fast and darting birds, the Sparrow can nearly match speed of a FA-18 fighter jet. However, because of the lack of speed, it depends on other birds to force the enemy planes to slow down in speed in order for it to attack. When a sparrow attacks an enemy plane it'll either attempt to push all of its weight down on the tail forcing the plane to dive to the ground or will peck at the cockpit in order to the kill the pilot.

Sparrows numbers: around 650,000

Dragonflies are the fastest source of aerial warfare the Fungi has to offer and is roughly the size of a F-22 Raptor. Faster than the Sparrow and the ability to match an FA-18 Fighter jet, the dragonfly was modify to fit artifical wings where its wings were once placed. The wings can fire air to air missiles, six .50 cal machine guns and air to ground missiles. However, in order to increase the speed, the dragonfly has light armour plating around its body inorder to abosrb the jet powered engines.

Dragonflies numbers: around 800,000

Wedge Tailed Eagles are the primary source of moving armour brigades, doing bombing runs or attempting to engage enemy positions all along the front of the battefield. The eagles stand around 18 foot high and can only carry 8 bombs at a time in its feet. They were once part of their own society and tribe until they became part of the Imperial Fungi not by force but, by asking for an alliance between them and the Minators. This could be the reason of how the Fungi managed to force the Sparrows into submitting into the Alliance.

Eagles numbers: around 300,000

The Hawks are the last element of the Fungi Air Force. The Hawks are the younger 'siblings' (as the Fungi recalls them) to the Wedge Tailed Eagles. The Hawks stand around 16 foot high but are slightly stronger than the Eagle. This is the reason why they are used for mutli roles such as bombing runs, deploying single armour units, fighting in the air and also helping transport equipment, men and supplies around the battlefield. Any hawk can nearly match a Dragonfly without cargo. With cargo and it becomes as fast as an eagle.

Hawks numbers: around 450,000
