Official Communiqué

To: Office of the Emperor

Subj: Contracts

I received your letter in the mail this morning and was immediately drawn to responding. You no doubt deserve the finest in naval engineering, which is exactly what Eisenseite Naval Industries can provide. Your large order size is no issue at all, as we have shipping and production facilities in every major city in Leistung (in addition to a few in North-Point), though it will more likely than not take between 1-3 years to complete the final vessel.

If you're interested, please direct you attention to the brochure (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=562816) enclosed. If you'll notice, we have recently completed a very large merger to bring two respected names in naval engineering together into a single powerful force. Browse our selection and I'm sure you'll find it to your liking.

Sincerely,

Dear Sir,

My office was formed to deal with international contracts that apply on so broad a scale that the individual private defence firms of this country could not fit into them, so to speak. My office acts as a liaison between Questarian defence firms and foreign War Ministries for the advocacy of Questarian weapons systems to be exported. Upon seeing your contract I therefore was moved to offer you the following weapons systems, including a short briefing about each written by myself, and the pricing. It is my hope that the reputable Questarian defence firms will come out on top in at least one area of your contract.

Firstly I intend to offer you, on the aircraft side; a pair of bomber aircraft for use in your naval arm that have served Questers well in the past, and on the naval side; a battlecruiser, perhaps the best of its kind in terms of over-the-horizon strike capability, an air defence cruiser recognised as one of the most potent, a stealth frigate recently offered for export, and a nuclear aircraft carrier.

The three companies that will be offering these to you are as follows;

Consolidated Naval Construction and appropriate Yards:
1. Name of company: Consolidated Naval Construction
2. Years in industry: Direct lineage tracing back to one hundred and eighty years
3. Company head: Sir Morgan Alcott
4. Company's country: Questarian Empire
5. What would you produce/sell: Naval Warships
6. Would you want to renew your contract when it expires: Yes
7. Any brochures/threads for reference: Link (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=557728)

The ADEN Companies:
1. Name of company: Hawker Aviation Plc
2. Years in industry: Seventy-two years
3. Company head: Sir Alan Devereux
4. Company's country: Questarian Empire
5. What would you produce/sell: Military and civil aircraft
6. Would you want to renew your contract when it expires: Yes
7. Any brochures/threads for reference: Link (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=541629)

1. Name of company: Blackburn Aircraft Company Plc
2. Years in industry: Fifty years
3. Company head: Sir Roger Sellingby
4. Company's country: Questarian Empire
5. What would you produce/sell: Military and civil aircraft
6. Would you want to renew your contract when it expires: Yes
7. Any brochures/threads for reference: Link (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=541629)

And now for the contracts [The bolded name of the subject is also a hyperlink];

Hawker Cossack S.2 (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13163642&postcount=2 ): The Hawker Cossack S.2 is the Royal Navy’s primary carrier borne attack aircraft. Designed for low and high level attacks against other ships carrying anti-ship missiles weighing up to one ton, she has excelled in her performance and is loved by RN-FAA pilots throughout the Empire. Furthermore, she has been exported to eleven (11) countries, notably including Rosdivan, Aequatio, and the Freethinkers. The Mk.2 costs 45 million (45mn) USD per aircraft. A Rosdivani General had this to say about the Cossack (you can TG Rosdivan for confirmation he said this): "The Cossack is really a dream to fly. She's incredibly smooth when down low, where most planes are bounced around by the turbulence from the sea. And she's got one hell of a punch too, as much as an Orion but a lot more survivable and in a much smaller package."

Blackburn Blackadder MSE.2 (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13395742&postcount=127): The Blackburn Blackadder is used by both the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force as a bomber. In the first role it is a naval strike aircraft with a long range that can mount large amounts of missile ordnance to attack shipping; in the second role it is a high-speed (mach 2) penetration bomber that is used by Penetration Aviation for its speed, payload and good handling at low level. It has been successfully exported to seven (7) countries, notably including Praetonia and Tyrandis. The MS2.AEP costs 200 million (200mn) USD per aircraft although without the advanced sensors she can be acquired for half the price.

Type 36 ‘Firefly’ Class FFG (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13980432&postcount=1): The Type 36 is a stealth-frigate designed with low radar RCS in mind and has been successfully exported to four (4) countries. She carries a multitude of weaponry and an advanced sensor suite and can be obtained for between one billion one hundred million (1.1bn) to one billion five hundred and fifty million (1.55bn) USD, depending on the scale of the order.

Type 165 ‘Town’ Class CRG (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13249701&postcount=20): During the Four Day War, Mogami Class Air Defence Cruisers were the first ships in history to successfully repel a saturation attack of the dreaded ‘Khan’ missiles, perhaps the most famous AShM in history. Their sensor suite and fast and accurate missiles tore apart ‘Khan’ attacks from Allanea and Cravan. The Town class is a direct improvement on the Mogami class, with a more advanced radar and in excess of four hundred surface to air missiles. At four billion (4bn) USD she is pricy, but the Royal Navy has never been let down by her.

Type 192 ‘Sandakan’ Class BBSG (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13603242&postcount=128): The Sandakan Class is the primary ASuW shooter of the Royal Navy. Her primary VLS bay holds 84 of the deadly P-600 (http://wikistates.outwardhosting.com/wiki/P-600) SSMs, which can deliver a thousand KG of HE up to 800km away. Used in all major Questarian sea conflicts, the P-600 and the Sandakan have made a name for themselves as the representation of Questarian Sea Power. Each Sandakan costs six billion (6bn) USD per ship, although its capability means when employed properly she may sink much more than her construction costs.

Type 270 ‘Ark Royal’ Class CVN (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13225947&postcount=5): The Ark Royal is the largest aircraft carrier in the Questarian Navy. Her primary task roles are to cover with fighter and awacs support, a Type 192 Sandakan advance, and to direct attacks on shore and surface targets with her own bombers, which she has done successfully in the past. In Questarian service she carries 96 fixed wing aircraft and 4 HELOs, but this is obviously all dependent on doctrine and the size of aircraft. Alone, she costs seven billion (7bn) USD, and with her air complement, she costs ten billion (10bn) USD.

Now I have shown you what the Questarian Empire has to offer, Sir, I make one final statement; Victory has no price, but defeat is the costliest thing a nation can suffer.

Yours Sincerely,
Sir John Broadway
