1314 leaned on the console, a pained look in his eyes. "Dammit..." He muttered, a tinge of anger peeking through his voice. "... I know this would keep me alive... But do I really want to subjugate myself to this...This... Hell most people call 'life' over and over again?" Fingers twitching, he looked around. Just a few large vats, all of them mirror images of himself. Floating there, eyes closed, looking far more peaceful then 1314 ever did. He slowly moved his hand towards a the console, and hesistated before typing: /Eliminate and watched as the body in front of him slowly dissolved. Trudging over to the next vat, he repeated his actions, whispering to no one but himself; "Lucky bastards get off nice and easy."

Walking up to the last console, he felt a twinge of pain in his arm. Shaking his head to rid himself of the dizzying feeling that came over him, he reached down again. Little 13! It's been a long time. How does it feel? Having me back? Fear gripped 1314, he hadn't heard the voice in years. "Get the hell out of my head!" He shouted, his voice echoing along the empty corridors, and ringing back through to his ears. Now, now little 13, don't hurt yourself, I won't be long. It's just nice to know how weak you've become over all this time. 1314 felt as if his body was no longer his, watching, no more, in horror as his hands quickly typed /Release A maniacal laugh echoed throughout his head, as 1314's vision began to fail. As the body slapped to the floor, 1314 himself began to lose strength. struggling to stay up, he looked up where the body had fallen, only to notice something.

It wasn't there. Feeling a warm breath of air blow against his side, 1314 looked over. "Hello little 13. It's nice to know I'm back, isn't it?" The direct copy of him smiled, a smile of a madman. 1314 lost his grip as laughter echoed throughout the halls and his mind. "Nighty-night little 13."

Moralite government calls for help!

In a official speech made by High Moralite senator Lucius Mocius, 1314 has once again become a problem. "All of his old patterns have been thrown away, his actions no longer have the meaning that they once did! Now his attacks are just random acts of violence, meant to destroy everything we Moralites have worked for! The old bounty on 1314 will once again be reinstated, the bounty of seven billion tiosles." 1314's recent attacks have also been noticeable for their lack of riddles. At the scene of every attack beforehand, 1314 would leave a slip of paper with a riddle on it, usually something to do with morals or philosophy. 1314 is seen by many as a national symbol, albeit not a good one by many of our fellow moralites, although I think that this is a debasement of-Continued on page 12A

Redemption was on the surface in a very short amount of time, his Merc group had picked up the message and this was abounty he was willing to take. He was ready for whatever this 1314 had to throw at him, a fully fledged Greyknight was not something to take lightly. He only needed his dual Dragoncry Pistols, if he needed anything else, his ship would just beam it down to him. He was dressed in camo pants and for a white shirt and brown vest. He had a lot of other equiptment, like his battle suit and various little tactical items to allow him to see heat signatures... but from the sound of things, he wouldn't need these things. Still, a good Merc was always prepared, and he even brought two Drones with him. Both were like all the others, very gothic, and very disturbing to moth people. "Are you two ready? You know I like to work with my children more than you." One of the Droens nodded, "We shall not fail. You made sure to train us well and we'll do whatever we can to help you." Red smiled, "Good." He had called in ahead of time, so the local governement wouldn't mind his ship appearing out of what looked like a black hole. The Dragon waited for any further instructions, and was being looked after by one of Red's servants and personal soldiers.

"C'mon, baby..." the guy sneered.

"There are so many reasons why I'm not your baby," Fleurette said coldly. When the sleaze tried to grab her shoulder, she shoved her palm into his nose, breaking it and sending blood splurting everywhere. A swift kick to the groin and another to the back of the knee ended the fight, and she walked away as the man groveled on the ground. Her phone rang, and she picked it up, noticing it was her Controller.

"That's why you're divorced," he said jovially.

"Dammit, don't you start," she sighed, knowing that Gramps would have said the same thing.

"Sure thing, mon princessa," he chuckled, "I have the care package ready at the hotel...with a little something extra."

Fleuretta followed the directions easily and checked in. The concierge handed her a suitcase, which she took up to her room. Along with a more conservative black pinstriped suit, it contained a pistol, compact SMG, ammunition, dispersal grenades and a beat-up and very worn leather jacket (http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc347/RukiTemaFan21/Leon%20Kennedy/ResidentEbil3.jpg).

1314 rushed down the dim, dank alleyway. A thin mist spread along the city, as it did at all times. Dammit! He was just here! 1314 frantically looked around, searching for The Voice, where he could have escaped, where he could have hidden. 1314 stopped his search. He felt something warm on his ankle, something small and metallic. Reaching down, he pulled up a small, rectangular box. 1314 knew what it was. It was a tracker. As it broadcast it's deadly signal all throughout the system, 1314 had only two words to say as the Moralite soldiers began to come in through the alleyway. "Oh Shit..."

The radio broadcast was short, but not encoded, and in civilian terms. "1314 is currently at Perspoctis Dies, the city of Ravenurbs, street number four-hundred and thirty."

Her phone rang just as she'd gotten dressed in her suit. She holstered the SMG and pistol before answering.

"Got 'im," her Controller reported. Currently sending directions."

"That's not far," she said, picking up a couple of dispersal grenades and a pistol-like device. "I think I'll observe," she said, opening the window. She aimed the grappling gun and fired, her feet yanked off the carpet as she disappeared into the night. It only took her a few hops to make it to a rooftop where she could observe unmolested. Fleurette took out a pair of multi-spectrum sunglasses and watched the confrontation take place.

1314 quickly drew the old rifle from his back. Few people knew why he still used it. An old wooden stock, slow rate of fire, it seemed almost like a gun from WWII. But 1314 knew why he still used it. But those who found out rarely lived to tell the tale. "Stand down 1314, we don't want to, but metal slugs don't have a 'stun' option." The soldier said, his voice filtered through his helmet, static filling every space of silence. 1314 scoffed. "I guess that means today's just not your lucky day." Quickly lifting his rifle up, he fired four times, one for each man. Little did they realize that this gun was not as weak as they thought. Until the bullets went past their shields. And through their armor. And finally out the other side of their skulls. 1314 quickly began to climb the large brick wall of the alley way, desperately scuffling up windowsills and grabbing onto every loose brick he could find to reach the top...

His two Drones joined him and watched, one Drone smiled, "Shall we move in?" Red shook his head, "Not yet."

1314 leaped across the rooftops, the light mist annoying him, although hardly blocking his vision. He was vaguely aware of someone watching him, but he didn't care. All he knew was that he HAD to get out of this city, before they brought in the HAWCs. As powerful as he was, 1314 knew that against a battalion or two of those massive war machines, he was royally screwed...

"I'm in touch with the authorities, they're sending in HAWCs."

"If that happens," she said, repelling to the next building, "I'll never collect...and I'll never be able to face Gramps..."

Making a reckless decision, she abandoned the rappel gun, instead hopping from building to building, running and a good 20 kph when she hit the roofs. Her speed caught her up to 1314, and she used it to circle in front of it and cut him off.

As the machinegun fire echoed through the building, the harsh sound of steeltoe boots hitting a hard surface could be heard outside the door. 1314 quickly scrambled back upstairs, carefully balancing on what was left of the roof as he made a magnificient leap to a HAWCs cockpit...

Easily opening the cockpit, 1314 threw the pilot out, watching him fall almost three stories to the ground with a sickening *crunch*. Wasting no time, 1314 set the War machine on "Full throttle". 1314 quickly opened up the hatch of the ship. Scoffing at the Greywatch men and girl as he quickly began manually typing in coordinates for his wormhole jump. less then a second later, his ship was floating in space, close to the glow of Concuxis. Relaxing, 1314 began to drift off to sleep. Back on the planet, the HAWcs marched forward, only to find their target to be missing. one of the pilots jumped out of his cockpit and ran up to Fleurette. "M'am" He said in a voice that reflected extreme discipline, but also urgency. "Did you see a man come past here, red eyes, bandages, a gun on his back? He might have been in a HAWC?" Aboard the converted freighter Halion Fleurette shrugged off the words of that mercenary. She absolutely loathed their kind; those who worked merely for money. In the cockpit, Controller was already setting up the fold coordinates.

"We'll be out of the gravity well in five minutes," he informed her as she took her seat. "Before we jump, there is a communication for you."

Fleurette had barely begun to protest before a gray and strong figure appeared in a projection in front of her. He stared back at her with her own green eyes.

"Gramps!" she said, surpised.

"It's true we are related," he said coldly, "But while on-mission, you will refer to me by rank, understood, Agent Pierpont?"

"Yes, sir, Commander," she muttered.

"You encountered the subject then?" David Curtis asked

"Yes, I did...there was a complication," Fleurette explained, "A merc."

"Blasted heathens," David muttered. She'd learned her dislike of mercs from him. "H-how was he...? 1314, I mean..."

"Well, pretty good, considering," she replied, "I mean, he blew up a rooftop I was on."

"He has a penchant for that sort of thing," David chuckled. "Report back to me once you've tracked him down." With that order, the screen dissolved.

"Prepare for fold jump," Controller told her. "Countdown commencing: 15...14...13...12..."

As Controller continued with the countdown, Fleurette couldn't understand Gramps' obsession with 1314. There were better contracts, so why did he want this guy so bad? And what about those special orders she'd been given...if the Company knew about those orders, they'd kill her and Gramps; that much she knew.

As it got closer, it looked like it had edges, almost. Then 1314 realized something. Of course, by then his ship had already stopped the cloaking device. "Nighty-night little 13!" The Voice echoed over the radio as 1314's vessel slammed into the hull of the obviously stolen Moralite wormer and spun along in the emptiness of space, Engines off, and life-support barely working. The Moralite wormer, being unarmed, quickly ripped open a wormhole and escaped, leaving nothing more then static over the radio as 1314 violently slammed against the controls...

There was a part of her that felt this scheme wouldn't work, and point of fact, she felt Controller was closer to her than her ex-husband had been, but she kept her eyes on the screens instead.
1314 sighed as he dove his ship down a bit closer, hiding under the thick clouds, carefully maneuvering around the ones about to collide. Bringing his ship up a little closer, he tapped the console a few times, and heard a familiar, sweet sound. "Target locked." As two railguns emerged from the sides of his ship, they aimed at the Scimitar, and let loose their deadly hailstorm of solid ammunition...

Meanwhile, Controller had brought the Halion around and began laying gravometric mines above the battle. Now, if either one wanted to escape out of the atmosphere, they'd fall prey to the mines. His eyes stayed on the monitor, waiting for the next move.

1314 quickly flipped around the missile, believing it to be yet another easily confused missile. "Warning, multiple targets approaching." The computer buzzed as 1314 leaned forward to get a look at what was following him. 1314 shook his head as he began to type into his console. "Signals jammed. Signal changed. Red smiled, some simple projectile thrower wasn't going to do too much. It was time to move in for the kill, "Activate PSR right next to that sonofabitch!" With that the rift was torn open only a few hundred meters away from the Halion. The gravity wave would be immense as it began 'eating' anything that was even remotely close to it. Red's tactics were certainly a little older in this respect, PSR had stopped being used as a weapon by Greywatch a few decades ago. But Red of course wasn't a Greywatcher, nor did he like to follow the crowd.

"Fire fold drive," Controller barked.

"Enough!" Controller yelled uncharactaristically. He worked the controls as the fold envelope began to form around the Halion. Instead of punching space as before, the fold bubble cushioned the impact of the gravity waves as the Halion barely escaped the trap. Retrorockets flared to slow the Halion from its over-acceleration, the fold-bubble collapsing moments after its escape. Casemates opened along the Halion as a spread of fifteen MIRV missiles launched, streaking towards the Dragon.

I wanted to save my nuclear weapons for something bigger than this but... something tells me these people don't understand 'stay the fuck out of my way.'" "Sonofabitch, you do not disable Red's explosives." The charges it had blinked in before were now exploding furiously, how Red loved using any and all explosives he could get his hands on. "Target that main weapon, and loop some missiles to their engines. I do not feel like testing our shield strength today." Another volley of missiles were fired at the Halion. "Blink in more charges." Twenty more antimatter charges began to appear around the enemy ship, each one had a one second fuse before they would detonate. Railguns and guass cannons began to focus on the annoying jammers, firing off several rounds. All the while The Dragon began pushing forward towards the planet. Red looked back at tactical, "PSR?" The tacticla officer shook his head, "Still charging sir. But it's nearly full again. I wouldn't suggest relying so heavily on it in the future though." The Dragon rocked violently as the disturbance happened, "The fuck?" The tactical officer looked up at Red, "That ship, something inside of it just went very unstable and the reaction is causing some kind of subspace disturbance. I don't know if our shields will hold out from this, they already took the hit from that other weapon." Red groan as his ship rocked again, "Activate PSR and get us the hell out of here." A nearby panel burst with sparks, "Sir, shields at 8% and dropping fast!" It was then that a rift opened beside the Dragon, the next hit throwing the ship violently into the escapeway. When the Dragon came out it was in a bad condition, most shield generator would have to be replaced and the ship's armor wasn't looking good either. There were tears in the hull and a few areas of vacuum within the ship. "Goddamn! Can't they just die quietly?! Pull us to the planet, open a channel and tell them we need immediate assistance." The comms officer nodded, as smoke began to erupt from his console, "Already done, sir."
Several ships began to surround the Dragon, all of them coming from the surface. The Dragon had to be towed to orbit where repairs could begin. After that it was a matter of restocking, again. Red had to admit this mission wasn't as easy as he'd hoped, most of it was fighting someone else, not 1314. "After we get this guy... I am not taking another job from these people. The Scimitar exited fold space several hours and several hundred lightyears later. Fleurette was calm but rigid. Controller had been grown especially for her, and had been on all her missions. He'd died following her orders, engulfing in the hellish firestorm of a Reflex furnace explosion. Suddenly, a large mass blocked her screen, and she looked up to see a large, jet-black hull blocking the light from the nearby star.

Hraesvelgr was a demon of the Norse underworld who devoured the dead. The ship was named well. With primary and secondary hull shielding, energy shields, high-yield energy weapons and banks of missile and torpedo bays, it was a fearsome beast.

"Agent Pierpont," her viewscreen activated, and her grandfather's stern face stared back at her. "Report."

"Sir," she choked, "The Halion has been destroyed, along with its Controller," Fleurette said through tears in her eyes. "I'm not sure of the extent of damage the explosion caused the other ship...but there was no indication of their retreat. It must be extensive."

"Land your fighter in Bay 3 and report for a full debriefing," he replied gruffly. "Silly girl," he grumbled. The transmission cut.

Red watched as his ship was being repaired. Everything that no longer worked was pulled out and replaced. This meant many of the shield generators that had been used, along with much of the hull plating, not to mention the electronics inside the ship. The core was still okay, however, as was the PSR generator. Much of the damage to the vessel wasn't from the explosion, though it certainly played its part, but rather, from the rift. Red was lucky, due to his ship possessing the PSR generator, the hull was severely damaged but the ship wasn't destroyed, any other ship would have been ripped apart in less than a few seconds. Another man walked up to Red holding hologram projector, Red straightened up and looked to the man, "Report." The man nodded, "Well you managed to blow out plenty of the shield generators, did extensive damage to the hull, disabled a good 24% of the weapons systems, and killed about 50 people. But we used the data from that superweapon shot and we're now adjusting the shields to better handle weapons such as that one." Red frowned, "Dammit. Next time someone tries to fuck with me.... what of the other project." The man sighed, "The modification? I had a feeling you'd ask sooner or later. We're still touching it up, alien tech like this is hard to reverse engineer." Red smiled, "So it's almost done?" The man shook his head, "It'll be a few more days. Then we'll have to conduct the proper tests..." Red gave a half-laugh, "Test? Fine then. We'll 'test' this thing. I already know my ship is out for a few days. Whet he modification is done, I want it fitted onto my ship. I'll be sure to run your tests and then I'll use it from that point on." The man sighed, "Depending on the test results." Red looked at him crossly, the man rolled his eyes, "Give me the evil eye all you like. Tests come first, get used to it. Sir." The man walked off and Red turned back to watching the repairs being done on the The Dragon.

Standing in the center of his Ready Room, David Curtis, now Director of Fugitive Affairs, watched the playback from the Halion's and Scimitars recording devices. The video and audio was distorted on the records from the Halion; it had sent a high-speed transmission burst before its destruction, and much of the data had been corrupted. But it did show the mines of the other ship, and the way they were deployed. The door chimed and David permitted entry.

"Director," Fleurette said hesitantly, "The Hraesvelgr is ready to be underway."

"Did you see these weapons personally?" he asked without responding to her statement. He nodded to the hovering projec-beam image next to him.

"Yes, sir," she answered, "However, I couldn't avoid them."

"Maybe you couldn't with that rusted hulk of a ship," David muttered, "But the Hraesvelgr has an ace up its sleeve. Inform the captain to head for our target coordinates. And have him place the ship on battle alert."

However, Red found it a little interesting that 1314 would be flying towards a planet, all the more limitations for him... the Dragon plunged into the atmosphere, its shield lighting up a bright white, weapons still firing.

"Altitude at two-thousand feet. Shields at zero, hull quickly disintegrating. Auto-eject starting." 1314 braced himself as he was thrown into the light atmosphere of Noctisdivu, plummeting down to the ground in nothing more then a thin metal capsule.

1314 was quite lucky, a ship the size of the Dragon had to begin pulling up long before 2000 feet to avoid going straight into the ground. With a loud, booming roar the ship leveled out and slowly began coming to a stop. Now that 1314's ship was disitigrating, the tracker was also breaking up. After the Dragon slowed down it began making a sweep to find the crashed ship and possibly the capsule, several droids began filtering out of the ship to the surface to provide more infomation.

1314 felt the small capsule slam into the ground, spreading the thin sheet metal like a grenade, slicing into his skin. Crawling out, 1314 stopped for a minute to allow his eyes to adjust to the eternal darkness of Noctisdivu. Crawling out, 1314 hugged the ground as close as he could as the droids hum became apparent to him...

The droids in this case would become obvious by the lights they used to seach the area as well as the external lights on their armor. Scans were also being used, especially those that related to heat, this world was in eternal darkness and scanning heat signatures was the way to go. Red smiled, knowing this was a World of darkness he knew 1314 had made a grave error. He left the bridge to his officers as he went to go find more of his children. Within thirty minutes, ten of these 'children' were ready to go hunting in the darkness.

1314 had already guessed that the droids would be looking for more then just light, and had lit up a cigarette. As the hums became louder, 1314 put it out. One can only hope that this keeps my body temperature down for just long enough...

"Hunters.... are you ready?" Red asked to the figures standing in front of him, each of them dressed in a dark green armor. Re dlihgt glowed dimly around the neck, shoulders, hands, and feet. They each carried large assault rifles and not much more. Their eyes were masked by black viosrs. Each one said nothing but they all nodded in unison. "Go." He said, and like that they all boarded a transport which made its way to the surface. The transport didn't land, but instead simply flew low over the trees allowing the hunters to jump off at points they saw fit. Two droids would pass over 1314 but give no indication that they'd noticed him, instead moving on. Any and all hunters on the ground got to their work right away. The lights on their armor turned off immediately and they began making their way silently accross the landscape.

OOC: Can't make any more posts tonight, a bit tired tonight.

1314 continued hugging the ground, slinking around, avoiding all and any lights. Suddenly, he felt something clamp onto his ankle. Pulling out his pistol, he shot whatever it was, fearing it was poisonous. Then he remembered. He was on Noctisdivu. There wasn't anything here, but Spitdrarugan. Which means, all he did was give away his position for no real reason. Getting up and dashing in no exact direction, he felt the cold of Noctisdivu stinging against his spit-soaked leg ...

The Droids were immediately at the location the shot was fired from. Light began filling the area, the hunters all began to converge. Lights would begin getting more intense and heat scans would become more precise. Hunters moved through the landscape effortlessly, they had a special weapon for tracking their pray, a gift from the Leanorians. The Droid began sending messages to the Dragon to tell Red of the situation. Red smiled, "Now then, turn off external lights and bring the power down. I want only our shields, weapons, AG controls, and engines on. Hall lights... kill 'em, for the most part. I don't want the possible populance of this place knowing we're here. Keep the cloak device charged in case we need it." Like that, the Dragon vanished from sight.

1314 continued running, the cold, thin air piercing like cold steel against his leg. No longer trying to conceal himself, he merely ran, without knowing where he was going or what he was going to do...

"This is an official Moralite message, if we are not mistaken, you are one of the bounty hunters searching for 1314. If this is true, we must send a representative Moralite squad, to inform you what collateral damage is acceptable, as Noctisdivu is heavily populated."

That was the only message felt like sending back, short and sweet.

Back on the ground the hunters began raising their weapons and occassionally firing a few shots into the darkness. They knew the general direction 1314 was going in, in a few moments they'd be able to see him, then it'd all be over.

1314 opened fire upon his attackers, each shot slow, but powerful. Dragging himself higher onto the slope, 1314 began to think about his life, and how it just might be ending soon, when he heard a VERY familiar voice. "Don't worry 1314, I want to kill you PERSONALLY, with no interference."" A dark voice echoed as several grenades flew out towards the Hunters, and a frothing, snarling shell of a man flew out into the open, firing, scratching biting, and using telekinesis to the best of it's ability.

OOC: You don't want to mess with the Voice.

Giving out a laugh that can only be described as purely insane, the Voice vanished in a quick flash. 1314 had taken advantage of the breif distraction to support himself with a nanite fill-in for his broken leg. Dashing through into the darkness, as the thin light of Concuxsium began to fall, blotting out every possible space with nothing but darkness...

1314 smiled as he felt his bone begin to reform with the nanites. Running straight into a solid stone wall, 1314 flipped backwards. "Halt civilian!" A voice rang out, filtered through a helmet no doubt. "What is your purpose at thi-... Oh lord... MEN! 1314 felt the rolling flames hit him, sending him to the ground.reforming the nanites to put out the flame, 1314 stood up, burns scarring every part of his body. "I'm still here little 13." 1314 turned to face The Voice. "I'm done with you. I'm done with this game, we call 'life'. And it's going to be game over for you too." Striding up to The Voice, 1314 grabbed his incoming hand and twisted it until he heard a crack. "Know we know that we're both monsters. But, perhaps that's what makes us what we are." pulling out his pistol, he calmly pulled it up to the Voice's head. "Released." Pulling the trigger, 1314 let it's dead body hit the alleyway below. Seeing the crowd of people gathered at the scene, 1314 turned to face them. "And now you know that I am a monster! But who is worse, the monster, or the ones who condemn him? He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster! And that's exactly what you all are!" Pulling the gun to his head, he pulled the trigger...
