How the Miroxian Council Works:
Every 4 years, the people of Miroxia elect 100 councilmen/women. Shortly After that time, the four year term for High Councilman runs out and another election is held. After a total of 101 councilmen/women are elected and in place, they hold regular weekly meeting, unless a major issue arises, then an emergancy meeting is held. The subject of each meeting varies greatly depending on which issues need to be touched on the most.

If a law is to be passed, the 100 main council members vote on it. The High Councilor will make changes to it on what he thinks would be better for the nation. It is the revoted upon then sent back to the high councilor, who signs it and send it to the king/queen. Then the king/queen will either sign it or edit it and send it back for another revote. If so, they repeat the process, but if the king/queen doesn't like the final results, he/she may veto it, and the law/bill will be filed in the "failed to pass" file in the high councilor's office.

History

In May of 1332, Sri Lankan natives from the Suruka Tribe were sentenced to be exiled on account of breaking several laws. As their former allies prepared to put them on a boat with no food or water, men from the Surukan tribe snuck cooked pieces of meat and fish onto the boats, along with an oar and several sacks of water. As they were pushed off the coast, a current caught them and they were off. For a long, solid three months, the Surukans portioned each meal as they lived off a very little amount of water and food each day. Young babied and children died as the brutal seas sometimes flipped entire boats over, their passangers drowned. At midnight on August 13, 1332, the men a women of the tribe were awakened by a thud! They had hit land. As they came ashore and set up a camp, they named the island Harigo Ale, which meant sunny island, because of the sunshine this island brought to their lives. It's name has remain to this day.

On September 4, 1333, Kimi Ido-Somo Locho, the leader of the tribe, left to explore the surrounding waters. To his surprise, he found another island, which is now mainland Miroxia. He spent a year exploring the land within a fifty-mile radius of where he landed. He then returned to Harigo Ale. At the time of his return, his son, Kimi Ido-Somo Kiwa, took over as tribe leader and he was forgotten. He then found his son and told him the secret about his discovery. He then left Harigo Ale and commited suicide by drowning himself.

In October of 1335, Kimi Ido-Somo Kiwa and one-hundred other natives left Harigo Ale and explored the land his father found. He called it "Suruka" after the tribe. At this time there were 2,500 natives on Harigo Ale. After three years of thorough exploring, Kimi Ido-Somo Kiwa and fifty natives returned, the other fifty stayed on the island.

Two years after returning the population of the island grew to 6,000, so Kimi Ido-Somo Kiwa lead 5,000 of the natives to Suruka, leaving 1,000 to occupy Harigo Ale. After a bit more exploring, all of the natives spread out across the island. Kimi Ido-Somo Kiwa then founded Harigo Suruka along the Miroxian River, the first official settlement. It was located where the original 50 settlers set up a small camp and the current city of Drance Town now stands on its ground.

After Kimi Ido-Somo Kiwa's death in 1346, the islands were all united under his son's, Kimi Ido-Somo Vaki, rule from 1346-1380. From 1380 until 1801, the islands were at peace and the land was working together. In 1801, however, English ships left England to explore the west, unaware of what thy'd find.

In the summer of 1803, English explores landed in Miroxia. After a thorough exploration, they annexed the land a placed the English flag in Surukan soil. After its annexation, the English, along the southern shore, started construction on Port City, the first port in Suruka. When the current Supreme Chief Jamwar Abbi-Miskami learned of the English annexation, he took 4,000 warriors to the construction site of Port City and started the Surukan Independence Conflict, which lasted for two years.

The war started on March 18, 1803. In the first battle of the war, natives took the incomplete Port City unde siege, and killed 23 in the process. English troops moved in the opposite direction after the natives took their construction site and started an invasion on Harigo Suruka. After a long battle, on April 9, 1803, English men had successfully captured Harigo Suruka.

Many other insignificant battle took place from April 9, 1803- April 9, 1804, and the war was at a stalemate. Harigo Suruka was still an English territory and Port City was still under Surukan control. Exactly one year later, English battleships invaded Port City and started to take it back. Cannonballs tore through the weak, eastern wall as Brtish troops stormed the beaches. After the English troops set the eastern wall on fire, it was easy-going as the troops raided the city. This was known as the British Siege of Port City. The British took only fifty casualties, while over 6,000 Surukans died. After the Bristish Siege of Port City, English warriors conquered the rest of the island with ease, and on June 10, 1805, England officially annexed the island and named it "Pacifica", after the Pacific Ocean.

In the spring of 1806, the first Pacifica elections were held, electing Sir Wilhelm Johnson as the Prime Minister of the colony. Sir Wilhelm felt the pain of the natives, as his mother married a native Surukan who died in the Surukan Independence Conflict. So with all his power, he tried to free them, but secretly. This became known as the Wilhelm Underground Surukan Independence Scandal. For three years, he secretly lead natives to the northern mainland where no one lived. But, in 1808, he secret was found out, and he was hung on account a treason.

On January 1, 1809, England gave Pacifica its independence through the Unwanted Colony Act of 1809. This sparked a major contreversy on who would rule the land, the Surukans, or the English. To solve the problem, Jamwar Abbi-Miskami met with an English official named Kevin Lester. After the confrence, it was revealed that the new nation would be called "Miroxia." Coincidently, Miroxia in Surukan meant "friendship," but the name of the nation was decided by the English official. The government was decided to be a republic, and thus the Republic of Miroxia was founded.

After all the political parties were founded and the Book of Miroxian Laws were written, the republic held their first elections on May 5, 1809. It turned in favor of the one who prevented another war, Kevin Lester from the Miroxian Nationalists Party. Port City was choosen as the capital city, President Lester was elected mayor of the city, and the new nation was coming together nicely. After Lester was elected they then designed the current flag, the "Eighteen Points," after the points on the three, six pointed stars.

In 1810, a riot broke out in Port City, killing twelve. President/Mayor Lester tried to escape to Kelmont Creek, but the President was shot by a stray bullet in the leg. He escaped, thankfully, but suffered major damage in the leg and couldn't walk on it ever again. Miroxians put a plaque where President Lester was shot. It says, engraved on it, "He was the last place where the first President of Miroxia stood in Port City."

From 1810-1813, Kelmont Creek was used as the capital. When the capital relocated back to Port City, the second elections where held, and they elected Justin Roberts from the Surukan Purist Party. Little did anyone know what would happen during his rule.

All was calm from 1814 until the elections of 1820, when President Roberts was reelected, but this time he eliminated the office of the president and dissolved the republic. He then crowned himself the first king of Miroxia and the EMpire of Miroxia came to be.

After the sudden government change, King Justin Roberts issued a decree, in which Northern Miroxia would be occupied by the richest and the wealthiest royalists: dukes, princes, counts, earls; all important titles. Native Surukans were enslaved, beaten, and treated like garbage, being forced to do anything the royalists didn't want to.

Justin ruled with an iron fist from 1821 until his death in 1881. During his rule, freedom and democracy was counted as treason against the government. Those trying to overthrow the kingdom were hung. He also made it law that all natives that were not slaves were to be drafted and put at the front of the line in the army. He treated the wealthy like his family, and the poor like his dogs.

After his death, Miroxia divided into two nations: the Kingdom of North Miroxia and the Republic of South Miroxia. From 1881-1901, the country remained divided as the War of Brotherly Bloodshed broke out. Familys were torn as some supported the southern republic and some supported the northern kingdom. On July 17, 1901, at the turn of the century, the war stopped as King Terrance Roberts of the north and President Axel Kensworth of the south were both assassinated by Ustin Jusari. Ustin then tookover both nations, reuniting them into the Dictatorship of Miroxia.

Dictator Jusari was thought to be a cruel man by future generations and by the nations surrounding Miroxia, but he actually did it for the good of Miroxia. He startedby re-enstating democracy for local laws and for future dictators. People could then vote for their leader, although he would have unlimited power. Jusari would return peace to Miroxia and rule for 60 years.

After his death in 1961, Dictator Yamvin Kimwad took control. Yamvin started taking his power to his head and was cruel. He was assassinated by Miroxian Nationalists in 1987. Meanwhile, the Royalists began plotting revenge.

In 1987, Dictator George Honda I took control. He ruled peacefully until his assassination in 2007 by Dictator Roland Adams. Although he was a good ruler, it was proven that Honda was part of the Mountain Goat Wildlife Scandal of 2007, in which 500 mountain goats died of food poisoning.

After Roland took over, the royalists of the north took a strike a rebellion a caused the Miroxian Civil War. It was won easily, but Miroxia came close to being nuked by Shazbotdom. However, Shazbotdom would later become an ally of Miroxia's.

Not long after that, the royalists struck again as the Miroxian Revolution broke out. As the bloodshed started, Miroxian allies Datium and Solenial entered the war to help fend off the rebelling menace. After a few months of war, at the battle of Kelmont Creek, the north was defeated once and for all, or so it was though.

Soon after that, Roland built strong alliences with the Pacific Island's nations, some of which are Zhonghua Renguo, Uiri, Solenial, and Miamoria. An allience with Shazbotdom was also formed.

On November 24, 2007, Miroxia opened the north to colonalization in order to straighten them up. During this time, The Blub Colony tried to conquer the colony of Serenno, causing a conflict, but it was shortly forgotten.

In 2008, the royalists made biggest strike of all: Dictator Roland was shot by royalists, had a heart attack, and died. The elections for a new dictator was won by Durant Adams, Roland's son.

The Durant era has brought new relationships to Miroxia, signing a peace treaty with Candava and entering the Confederacy of Scandinvan Protectorates. But sadly, 2008 also brought upon the "Miroxian Blood Age", as Miroxia has entered/withdrew from about 7 different wars, most of which were fought with Fozcria.

On May 21, 2008, Miroxia officially changed its name to "The Pacific Isle Council State of Miroxia", aiming to become more of a Republic. On June 6, Miroxia's Council voted to hold elections for a new High Councilor. Durant was not able to run, as the election turned in favor of Hartford Benson (Democrat).

However, this government was short-lived, as Hartford made a final peace agreement with the north as Miroxia became a constitutional monarchy. Andrew Williams III was chosen as the king as Hartford Benson kept his seat as High Councilman.
