IC: The winds blew across the ice of the Void, reflecting the cloudless black skies above it. It would have gave the impression of walking on the stars themselves, were it not for the huge grey blot in the distance that was the Karasi International Airport, the Void's main airport. The airport had been secured especially today, as delegates from foreign countries were supposed to be landing to be given a tour of Karasi by Lady Whyt herself. Special Forces crawled all over the place, snipers positioned everywhere, just out of sight, to pick off any rebels. There would be no problems during the visit, or Marshal Kyle would 'cut off the hands of the idiot who let the ambassadors die hand's and smack him around with them'. The men knew this wasn't a overstatement, he had done it before. The soldiers locked down, and awaited the arrival of the first delegate.

Nations of the world, many of you have either built or had an embassy built under the Void's new diplomatic expansion policy, but I believe that is a cold way to conduct foreign relations. As such, I invite the nations of the worlds to send an envoy to Karasi, where I will give them a tour of the Akaerai Imperial Palace and other important buildings in and around the city. If you wish to attend this tour, your envoy is asked to land at Karasi International Airport, with or without a security detail, where they will be met by the leader of my personal Guard and escorted to the palace, where I will meet them myself.

He barked in Templarian, and an armored limousine pulled up, alongside which where two Stryker APCs. "You are in the limo, of course. The APCs are for security." The man walked over to the limo and held open the door.

The Milencu's private jet was now property of the BCF and they were on thier way to Void Templar

Valentina did not answer instead she was gipping the seats armrests for dear life. It was her first plane trip and she already hated the take off.
Valentina was also personal aide for Ion in the last month of thier rule also so she always thought
"If I could endure working for them, I can endure anything" this was the biggest job in her life to date and at only 28 years old she was still young

The scenery was mostly vast fields of ice, seemingly endless, streching out in every direction, only interrupted by the great bulk of the Saren Plateau and the Apotheosis Jungle to the South.
"Not much to look at, is it sir?." The Kytaf looked out of the window, smiling. "It's like Hell froze over."

Ernesto smiles at this comment, "No its not hell frozen over unless there are solders under that snow waiting for us, but it looks preatty boring, just like the Soviet System."

"Sir? We're almost there." The two limos pulled up alongside each other, the Strykers peeling away and heading back to the airport. They had reached the edge of the city. A great mass of factories, smoke belching into the air. After a few minutes, the sky had actually turned into the smog from the great chimneys, before the skies once more cleared as they cleared the Industrial sector. Even from here, the Akaerai tower towered into the sky, a great black slash in the sky.

They were now into the main city, with citizens going about their buisness, most glancing at the limos before getting back to whatever they were doing. Police patrolled the streets in force, lining the route to the Palace.

"Look at this city!" said Valentina looking out in awe

"It's not bad, is it?" The police presence intensified and eventually changed to military as they got closer to the Palace, until they finally reached it. The great courtyard, a huge carpet of grass, with a long path running the length of it to the palace's doors, branching off along the way to statues of previous kings and great generals. The huge double doors, engraved with the battle of Kasyr Pass, were opened, showing the way into the great Main Hall. Tara stood inbetween the two doors, and when the limosuines stopped, in the shadow of the tower, she walked down the steps and bowed to their occupants.
"Ernesto, it is good to see you. Congratulations on your promotion, my condolences on how it came about. Master Alin, it is also wonderful to see you. I hope the country is running as smoothly as possible?"

The specialized cruisader gunship 'peaceful' that carryed Emporer talon to Karasi International Airport was makeing its final aproach, practicly screaming mesages as it went so as not to be thaught agressive. Afterall, despite its lack of large any menacing guns (that had been remoed for obvius reasons), it WAS a gunship.

There is some food laid out for you all there. Follow me, please." The group walked through the main hall, which was essentially just two huge murals of Kal on either side with trinkets the royals had gained over the years lining the room on plinths. Most were things like old gold swords and armor, from the original rulers of the colonies in the Empire, but a few where relatively unusual things, such as a stuffed shark suspended from the ceiling and a giant spherical emerald. "We were given that by a king of one of the colonies. It's rather nice."

Ernesto saw the food, so much of it, this was more then he could have asked for, he quickly sat down and grabbed a steak

Ernesto was eating like a wild animal, he had learned to eat as much as you can for who knows if it will be your last, Steaks, chicken, turkey, all so good, bread rolls, and such

Hunter sat now aswell, taking a large amount of bacon, placeing it on a plate and ravenously devouring it. He took care to avoid fruits and vegatables and dishes that clealry contained them so as not to apear rude in picking them from the dish, it was sometimes anoying haveing a diet restricted to meat by nature herself, but who was he to argue with that, too much atleast.

Ernesto was feasting on some apples, a rarity in the Soviet System these where

Josh was smiling widely the entire time. On each of his fingers on his right hand were ring, the rings had long rods leading to joshs wrist. He was smiling widely as he manipulated his hand.

Tara spoke in Templarian to the guard, who produced a metal sphere about the size of his fist. "It's a training ball from the obstacle course. That will crack a rib and can resist the weight of a tank, so good luck crushing it." She handed it to him, moving her chair further back slightly.

It was obvious that Ralkovia was becoming exceedingly more dangerous. Hundreds of thousands of new weapons were coming out of Ralkovia. Spies reported that hundreds of thousands of acres of land had been designated arms manufacturing zones.

Ralkovian ports were full of hundreds of new warships. Ralkovian training fields were increasing in troop numbers. It was all under this mans directory that Ralkovia was becoming a powerful fighting force. Mobile Fortresses, 400 mile artillery, Gravity Hands, Super tanks, it looked as if a war was inevitable in the future.

They walked through a number of winding halls, all almost identical with white walls and red carpeting, until they reached a small door. Tara pushed it open and walked through. "Gentlemen, welcome to the throne room." They were behind the throne, a huge ebony seat with snakes heads carved into the armrests. It sat in front of a long red carpet, which reached from the throne to the huge wrought iron gate at the front of the room. 6 pillars ran beside it, 4 with crimson banners emblazoned with the House Symbols and 2 bearing Tara's personal ensignia. One huge window, behind the throne, cast a red tinted light into the dark room, and the ceiling stretched up, disappearing into darkness. "It's rather impressive, isn't it?"

"Well, we're a sort of diplomatic monarchy. The Emperor has supreme authority. However, they have to answer to and can be deposed by the Council of the Houses if they act in a manner unfitting for a monarch. As for the actual order of emperors, it's not exactly hereditary. Each house has three turns as Emperor, before it passes to the next house in alphabetical order. My father was the third House Templar emperor, and I was elected by House Whyt to become the new emperor. Its a good system, it prevents interhouse wars, over the throne, at least, and keeps the people happy."

"The people are allowed to criticize us, however, they aren't allowed to promote any other propaganda or religion. We already have enough rebels, and Kalism and the monarchy is what keeps the empire together. As for the economy, it is mostly a free market, but things like arms manufacturing and the automobile industry are controlled by the government."

"But Miss Whyt. When we have time we do have some.... bizarre and strange stories serving under the Milencu's........" Alin looked over at Valentina and smiled

The guards saw this and almost drew their weapons, but held back. Tara did not seem to notice.

"Wonderful. Always good to see an ally doing well. Alright, if you will follow me we will go to the Grand Library." The group walked through the halls again, heading underground. As they got deeper, it steadily got colder.
"I'm sorry about the temperature, but we are underneath solid ice." They reached another set of double doors and went through. Immediately, a wall of warmth hit them. There was a small, semi circular desk, with a man in a crisp white suit and slick center parted hair sat motionless behind it.
"Jona?"
"Lady Tara."
"I am here to show the visitors the library."
"Very well. Please refrain from changing the order of anything." The man pressed a button on his desk and the wall panel behind him slid open, revealing 20 seemingly endless shelves of books, all in a plain black cover. Tara walked up to one and removed a book, looking through it. It was all handwritten.
"The library was started in 1664, by Emperor Lukas Void. It contains a document of everything we have ever known since it was established. It used to all be handwritten by pages, but it's modernized now and we use computers. Mr. Jona keeps it in order." She put the book back, creating a small puff of dust.

Alin turned to Tara

Mr. Jona finished typing at exactly the same time as Alin stopped talking. Tara raised her eyebrow at the last sentence.
"Thats... quite disturbing, actually. I'm afraid we don't have anything like that on record. Ion was a decent fellow, admittedly. It was Irena that was the cause of most of the problems. At least she's gone now."

Valentina had dropped from being instep with Alin and instead had dropped back to where Nicolae was

Valentina was just 23 and Nicolae was 39

She was a little painted doll of a thing, quite attractive, typical Bulgislavian features such as the black hair, olive skin and brown eyes.
She was also described by Irena Milencu as "The little Minx!" and she was one of the girls who Irena would listen to Secret Police recordings of her sexual conquests

Alin Geaustured to Valentina to walk next to him

The group left the palace and boarded a Blackhawk, which took them out of the city. After a few minutes, they set down on the helipad at the academy.

The academy itself was little more than one large pentagonal building,with a huge training ground. A man walked up to them, in the uniform of a liuetenant, and saluted.
"Lady Tara. An honor." He turned and yelled in Templarian. A number of men filed into a single line, fell into a standard A facing the group, and saluted. "I see you've brought guests. Tell me, are any of you here interested in Close Combat?" He had the bloodthirsty grin you only got after serving in the Black Hand for years, mostly due to the two scars running up from the sides of his lips up to his cheeks."

Ernesto grinned, "I am", then he turned to Tara, "Lady if I may?"

"Very well, lets go shall we? Mr. Jona, thank you."

Ernesto yelled back to Alin, "Yeah this lieutenant is going to get a lot of bruises" Ernesto laughed

Ernesto when into his own stance and rushed the lieutenant, his left hand in a jab, as his right came around for the face

He grabbed Ernesto's left hand, putting pressure on his vein, ducked to the left and twisted his arm, before aiming a sweeping kick at Ernesto's legs.

Ernesto feel to the ground hard on his back, but he was laughing, "Good job, looks like I have lost my touch" Ernesto got up and extended his hand to the lieutenant

"What sort of training do your men go thorugh? Under our old system it was pretty harsh but all we got in return were high suicide rates and soldiers who were not all there in the head or traumatised after they go out of the army" said Alin impressed with the demonstration

"Good try, sir." He laughed and shook his hand. "My name is Lieutenant Ivan, and I am second in command here. I run the everyday training. This is Wolf Pack Alpha." He gestured to the men. "If any of you wish to be trained in anything, just ask and I'll show you personally."

Ernesto walked over to Tara's side, "Maybe on another trip to the Void, im sure I will have many, and Ivan maybe I will send some of my men here, to train under you"

"Well, sir, we train the Black Hand special forces here. We train them in everything for marksmanship, to knife throwing to bomb making." Another squad nearby was practising knife throwing. One of the recruits threw the knife incorrectly, and it bounced off the board, almost hitting the man.
"Sir? I don't understand why we have to train with knives. I mean, you don't need knives in a nuke fight." Ivan sighed.
"Squad, halt. Recruit, put your hand on that wall." The recruit looked at the wall, then the lieutenant, then back. "Put your hand on that WALL!" The recruit immedately complied. With a flourish, Ivan pulled a knife out of one of the board, flipped it and tossed it. It went straight through the man's hand, embedding into the wall. He calmly walked towards the yelling recruit. "If you disable your opponents hand, he cannot push the button to launch a nuke." He pulled it out, the recruit dropping, holding his hand. "Medic!" As a medic rushed over to the man, Ivan turned back to the group. "We train our soldiers hard, and they are the best sir."

Valentina gave a small scream and covered her hands over her mouth and turned away

Ernesto walked over to Tara's side, "Maybe on another trip to the Void, im sure I will have many, and Ivan maybe I will send some of my men here, to train under you"

"If Lady Tara wants me to, I'll train your soldiers for you. I expect you'll want me to go a little easier on them?" He smiled, referring to the recruit being took off to the infirmary.

Ernesto saw the knife go into the hand, a painful experiance for sure, Ernesto had been stabbed once, but in the chest

We have basketball, football, hockey, rugby and american football facilities, as well as 30" televisions in every squad barracks. There is an computer section of the main building which they can use, as well as phones and a bar, and they are allowed off base during lunch and dinner. They have plenty to do when not training. We train them hard, and they deserve a break sometimes."

Ernesto gave Thomas a look, "I know this was not really conduct for a diplomatic meeting but nether is that kind of disrespect" Ernesto was slowly getting mad

"Alright then." He barked in Templarian and the two teams left to suit up. After a few minutes, they returned, fully armed and armored. "Squad! Go to your starting positions and wait for the command!" The men left, heading for an obstacle course. "Who would like to do the honors?"

IC: "Begin!" The command was almost immediately drowned out by a torrent of fire from Alpha's light gunner. The rest of the unit moved up, one of Beta's soldiers getting clipped in the forehead by a round and dropping to the floor. In response, Beta tossed a few rubber pellet grenades, detonating next to the machine gunner and downing him. Alpha blindfired, downing two more of Beta's 8, but the amount of rounds coming from Beta took out 4 more Alphas, before the final three stood and opened automatic fire, downing the remaining Beta's. "Cease fire! Alpha team is victorious!" Beta picked themselves up and shuffled away, Alpha bowing. "Not exactly bow worthy. James, Thomas, Lucas, good stand at the end." Ivan smiled.
Tara nodded to the soldiers, then turned to the group. "Right. Before we move onto the final place, Karasi Air Force base, shall we go have dinner?"

"Yes were always up for a good meal" said Alin

"I wonder if any of those soldiers will be there?" wondered Valentina

The blackhawk headed back to the palace, where the group got off and went into the dining hall, where food was laid out once more.
"Please, eat, drink, talk. I have to attend to matters, I shall be back shortly. Anything you want or need while I'm gone, don't hesitate to ask a waiter." She bowed and walked out of the room.

Ernesto climbed into the Blackhawk, sitting beside Tara

Ernesto started by eating some apples, a fruit that hardly was ever imported into the System, he grew sad to have Tara leave his company

Alin couldnt help but smile, He leaned over to Bogdan and started speaking in Bulgislavian. At hearing what they were saying Andruka gave out a small laugh and leaned over to Alin and Bogdan again speaking in Bulgislavian
then the whole Bulgislavian delegation gave reserved laughs.

The Bulgislavian Delegation ate the food that they could grab, putting it on thier plates then eating them with the knifes and forks

Valentina turned to Alin and spoke in Bulgislavia, Alin responded by nodding with a smile on his face

"Oh my, grapes. My favorite fruit! Oh Ernesto, cheer up, its only a minute or two you won't see Tara. You have to leave this country soon, you know. So prepare yourself for the long separation. Ok.. I'm sounding like Shakespeare now.
