Hello my fellow NationStates Forum RPer's,

Now I've being noticing some recent developments in some countries one of which has recently happened and I won't mention any names. Anyhow, I'm not here to do that but...but I've got a simple question that I've being meaning to ask.

Is it possible to produce robots/dorids? I know you can in Future Tech Era and not in Modern Tech Era, but is it possible to do it in Post Modern Technology Era? Or would it just be a simple sentry bot on guard duty rather than a battle droid?

PMT is sort of that ocean shelf between deep ocean and the beach. It depends on what kind of PMT you're looking at. For instance, before I started to join regions I was early to mid PMT in which I could use fusion reactors, fusion carps, etc. Robots would fall in early PMT to late PMT depending on their sophistication; "learning" robots would probably be mid PMT, advanced, smarter than human robots late PMT. I mean, today we have artificial intelligence style robots.

Ahh...ok that makes better sense, thanks for that. One last thing, in order to build robots, would the nation have to have a powerful economy like above strong?

Not necessarily. You could give a robot to Zimbabwe, and they could use it for a time. After which, of course, the robot breaks out of disrepair/petrol shortage/general wear. You could give blueprints to Zimbabwe, and they could manufacture one or two. However, it's better to have an economy of good or better.
