This thread is to keep track of new weapons and defenses to the Red Army Armored Cavalry and People's Navy Marine Corps mecha. OOC and SIC data. To be updated, and yes, some of this stuff might go up for sale, time and RP usage depending.

Red Army Armored Cavalry:

Improved Heat Sinks

--Developed with a little help from one Dr. Edelmira Tennenbaum (she was busy, so she could only e-mail some equations and a list of materials written in crayon), these heat sinks address the fact that much excess heat is wasted in combat and for Armored Cav MechWarriors, the need for sustained fire.

The Improved Heat Sink uses several layers of cooling systems to help dissipate waste heat; however it also absorbs waste heat and converts it back into useful energy.

The system itself is simple enough. The first layer is made of several spaced metal grates with thin slits in them that let some heat bleed through. However, these grates are made with heat-activated cells built on the microscopic level all over the grate and such which absorb the heat, thus agitating classified heat sensitive materials inside resulting in the production of electricity for the Mech.

The next level has a carefully spaced grid of pipes inside a chamber that contain coolant chilled below zero celsius, enabling better dissipation of heat. The final layer is a simple air cooling mechanism.

Rotary PPC "Knock Gun"

--Concieved by Lieutenant Josie Pinter of Chiswick, London after the Battle of Australia, the Rotary PPC was originally a magnificent example of what's called "Tennenbauming," or making incredibly dangerous unauthorized changes to one's wargear. Further modifications created by the Powered Armor School's Armory have made it safer.

Using three quarter-scale ER PPCs affixed to a rotary carraige and powered by a Huntarian Alliance Hyper-X Capacitor for quicker "cold start" chargeups along with another set of power systems to feed the PPCs and a small cooling system attached to them.

The Rotary PPC system trades the firepower of its bigger cousin for a faster rate of fire. Conducted at a slow, steady staccato of death, the Rotary PPC is built to fire one shot after the other in a controlled pace, owing to recycling time.

Issues so far include heat--the Rotary shares the trouble of heat-generation with its bigger cousins. We have endeavoured to correct this ASAP.

Meltagun "Cerberus"--

Commissioned by the Powered Armor School's Armory, this tool is simply a scaled up version of the legendary IoM Meltagun for use on a Mech. Focusing a concentrated stream of microwaves at the target, it is meant to be a close-quarters anti-armor weapon. Obvious drawback is the heat.

People's Navy

Arm Slave "Devastator" Kit--

Meant to convert Arm Slaves in PN service for a fire support role. Includes extra armor, improved long-distance targeting systems, Amethyst Detector System and a Backpack with powercell and ammo capacity to support the use of Rocket Launchers, extra AT Daggers, Lascannons, Hellguns, Plasma Guns, and Meltaguns.
