Cascade States needs WA member support!

So the Armed republic of Cascade States has been dragged into an unfortunate series of incident with the nations of Cuborg and Macgruber. A brief war was opened between us after a failed bussiness deal, and a missunderstanding lead to Macgruber shooting a number of our planes who were in Cuborg.
Cuborg kept our money and held our people hostage, and then fired a Super cannon ( yes that's right 350mm, 1,500 mile range ) at our Capital which
delivered Ebola virus.
This forced our nation to eliminate nearly all the military assets of Cuborg and in the process it seems we killed a number of Macgruber's soldiers headed for Cuborg.

The offer of peace was made but both parties could not agree to terms we made. The war escalated and it was only when we launched 150 kiloton tactical nuclear weapons against Cuborg's WMD facilities did Cuborg agree to the stated terms of peace...
Our nation currently fears that Macgruber or even Cuborg may use the temporary sesation of hostilities to make a foolish move with their assets against us agian even though peace is being agreed to by Cuborg.

here is the link to the thread;

In short we need member nations of the World Assembly to come for a peace keeping action, and to help provide humanitarian aid as well as provide WMD Arms inspectors.

If you can help us please Telegraph us
The Armed Republic of Cascade States, East Pacific.

OOC: The World Assembly does not exist in II, neither does mercy or common sense. Cuborg's only mistake was not to fire more virus and complete the victory.

OOC: Skgorria beat me to it, but yus, the WA is generally not recognised.

Cuborg's only mistake was not to fire more virus and complete the victory.

And win.

Okay, I didn't realize so many countries were opposed to my existence.

I'm guessing that your nations believe that we should all just launch bombs and
be done with it?

Or maybe you two just don't like it when some one asks for a peaceful approach?

OOC: They're not opposed to your existence, they simply deny the existence of WA in II, as many respectable roleplayers do.

And win.

True, true. I personally would have used a combination of biological and chemical weapons and hit more than one city using multiple delivery systems, but that's just my genocide experience talking.

I don't have a vested interest in seeing you destroyed, it is just in my experience that appealing to the good-nature of nations will leave you at best indebted and at worst conquered by those you trusted. :)

Good luck with the peaceful approach, I'm sure it will work [/sarcasm]

I knew that the WA didn't have "power" in here but I thought there might be a least a couple of nations who were WA members that would assist in this.
As for role playing, I've been doing that for more than a decade and a half, and I've never considered " player killing" good natured nor an example of how to be a good Role player.
All it seems to do is hurt the group, insult the person.
Look at that dutch kid, the Canianian Army / Navy / marines what ever he's
named his country today.
Inexperienced and youth should be helped. Even if it means allowing them to use a "super cannon" which couldn't hardly work in real life.

I also resent the callousness which alot of the "experienced players" who've been on here as one country for a year or more seem to develop.

Thanks for your support,
Zinaire

OOC: So your logic is that we should "help" new players by letting them do stuff wrong?

And if you've been RPing for 15 years, why don't you know the difference between OOC and IC yet?

OOC: Like it or not, what you call 'player killing' just happens on here, and plenty of people have RP'd it well. Kahanistan suffered under the Doomingslanders for one, and my friend Atopiana was virtually wiped out by an orbital bombardment.

Did it hurt the group? No, it stamped the authority of the destroyer on the world.

Did it insult the player? No. Atopiana, whilst he doesn't RP much anymore due to RL reasons, along with me have really enjoyed the challenge and possibilities this opened. We RP'd revolutions and massive social upheavals, culminating in our two nations being constitutionally unified. Will they tear apart again? Probably.

In regards to Canedian Marine, if you have a look at those threads I was in at least two of them trying to keep things cool and offer him advice. I kept him informed of his rights as an RPer and even telegrammed him advice. Did anyone else do any of that? I don't think they did, but I sure hope that someone else did. I was an angry n00b once and I know what it is like.

Not everyone on this forum has a callous attitude, just most of them :P Quite realistic really, when you think about it.

No my thought is that you should explain how the things are generally accepted,
and if they refuse your help don't play with them. If they are abusive than report them to the mods.

Some times people need to fail before they can learn, I think that this RP I'm in now will end in failure. I could easily wipe both parties off the face of the Earth, but have tried to seek all the non-nuclear options which nations would normally attempt.

I'm aware of In character and Out of Character, however I cannot deny that some times I blur the line, or forget that what is said by a " nation" does not
necessarily mean it was said by " the user"

Why do we keep ending up at odds Z?

Canedian did not speak English, which was one difficulty. He also seemed to GodMod thousands of bombers, suddenly appearing over peoples capitals, having nukes, etc. That's beside the point.
A supercannon of that size does exist. The Karl Gustav rail gun series used by Nazi Germany is an example.

I would have to agree with Skgorria. Just listen to what's been said, and close this thread. I have not even had a years experience in RPing, and this is what I have become :) Noob, thinking he knows all lulz.

I understand asking the WA for assistance, of sorts. An idea would be asking for a condemnation of Cuborg/Macgruber. Although, the WA has no more power than NATO, and such. They can only get others to listen, by using fear of the country being kicked out, or a threat of war.

We aren't all PITAs! I just am in RL....But I am kind etc, here. Just to sound egotistical ;)

OOC: Canedien whatever he chooses to call himself to today had plenty of people try to help him out and even offer to RP with them. He merely responed by insulting them, spamming every thread he touched, and godmodding and number wanking to an epic level. Once everyone wised up and started ignoring him, he started a new nation (with the same misspelled name).

While some posters were overly harsh on him, he deserved most of what he got due to his refusal to listen.

I take your point,
But Dise Deka Berta could only lob shells 75miles...
And it was incredibly painful for the crew's who had to be there when if fired.
Something with a range of 1,500 miles ( One Thousand and five hundred miles)
Would cause small Earthquakes, and be completly visible durring every stage of construction.
How could you build the main cannon for such a weapon?
It takes hundreds thousands of tons PSI just to build a 16in cannon for a battle ship.
It's in my limited opinion wholly impossible in Real life tech.

Actually reading everyone's posts today,
I'm alot less annoyed ( but injured my shoulder so posting is a little tender )
I don't think I'm going to ask the mods to kill this tread unless people become really
unkind.
Basically all the advise here is sound, even if it isn't what I would have liked.
