SMD headquarters in Vladistov, surrounded by other large buildings.

The Stoklomolvi Munitions Depot is a huge cooperative conglomerate of the hundreds if not thousands of domestic arms manufacturing industries located in Stoklomolvi, many privately owned. The goal of the SMD, so-called, was to establish a monopoly over the arms trade in the small states to the south of Stoklomolvi; the warring states constantly needed munitions, and trillions of dollars are transferred to the pockets of corporate executives and the government of Stoklomolvi annually. In actuality, the money gained by corporate executives is illusionary, for they are taxed to nothing anyway. Nonetheless, the government-dominated arms industry brings trillions to Stoklomolvi.

A wide variety of goods are produced and sold by the SMD, many fuelling wars amongst insurgents and local governments to the south. It is often unknown as to the buyers of the products sold; it could be considered a massive black market for cheap weaponry. A considerable portion of the funds acquired by the SMD is from the sale of munitions to rebel forces that cannot produce munitions locally.

The corporation is worth at least Universal Standard Dollars 45 trillion ($). Over 60,000,000 people are employed by the SMD, and is one of the largest monopolised corporations in Stoklomolvi; others include Stoklomolvi Technology Manufacturing and the Stoklomolvi Agricultural Division. The SMD develops and tests hundreds of new weaponry each day, with very few passing the quality mark set by the SMD. Nevertheless, the SMD does provide quality weapons at budget cost.

Regulations
In order to conduct a transaction at the Stoklomolvi Munitions Depot, you must calculate the costs for your orders by yourself. This means that if you do not calculate your own order, you will be penalised with an extra 200% cost onto your order. In addition, you may be banned from the SMD. Miscalculations will be corrected at a 100% penalty; miscalculations that go over the actual cost will not be fined. The costs listed below are the costs required to purchase any type of weapon; that is, the export cost. Your military budget may be found by visiting either NSDossier (http://nsdossier.texasregion.net/) or NSEconomy (http://nseconomy.thirdgeek.com/). Any budget from any other link will be ignored and your purchase denied. We will be ensuring that you do not go over your defence budget. Paymant plans are accepted, with a maximum time limit of ten [10] years.

All of the products sold are assumed to either be a real world product to be sold to a nation that cannot domestically produce them, a SMD original product, or a product for sale under contract. Real world products may be duplicated at will, for all nations already have domestic production rights to them.

[ORIGINAL] products are products designed by the SMD, and may not be duplicated unless explicitly asked. If a product produced by the SMD is found in a nation that does not have domestic production rights to the product, then the nation in question will be permanently banned from the SMD and will be penalised severely.
[CONTRACTED] products are products designed by foreign companies but sold under contract by the SMD; these products will have the same consequences as an SMD original product albeit more severe.

Delivery locations must be specified for a delivery. The location can be anywhere on NSEarth, though we would prefer explicit permission of the receiving nation to receive the goods in question. Delivery costs are not billed to the purchasing entity, for all costs are already included in the export cost. Rush and express deliveries are available, albeit at an extra 25% and 50% respectively. Normal orders may be used 2 RL hours after purchasing, rush 1 RL hour, and express instantaneously.

Domestic Production Rights
- Domestic production rights allow for domestic production of any product designed and manufactured by the SMD. Contracted items do not apply.
- The sale or distribution of any product under DPR is strictly prohibited, and any violations found will warrant an immediate and permanent ban in addition to severe penalties.
- All DPR costs are listed next to the product name.
- Discounts do not apply to a DPR purchase.

Blacklisted Entities
- Blackhelm Confederacy
- Canedian Army, Canedian Marine, Canedian Economy

[ABSTRACT]

With the number of enemies of Stoklomolvi steadily growing, military designers at Stoklomolvi Arms Industrial were required to develop a strong coastal artillery weapon to defend the utterly immense Stoklomolvi shoreline at a relatively low cost.

Shell

Utilising the massive uranium reserves in Stoklomolvi, the Type 425 (T-425) fires 800mm nuclear rocket-assisted shells. The shells are primarily steel with explosives and a uranium core, yield 1 megaton of TNT.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/e0/Implosion_bomb_animated.gif/175px-Implosion_bomb_animated.gif

The nuclear core relies on an implosion system, as shown above. Utilising exploding-bridgewire detonators to send shockwaves through the varying explosives, the fired shell can be compared to the "Fat Man" atomic bomb used on Nagasaki, Japan during WWII. However, the overall size of the weapon is much larger; in addition to the uranium core, explosives with varying detonation speeds are also included; cyclotrimethylenetrinitramine (RDX), trinitrotoluene (TNT), and wax are included in the faster explosive; the slower, baratol. The explosive-bridgewire detonators are located around the core in a hexagonal "soccer ball" pattern. Once the shell is fired, after a set period of time the explosive-bridgewire detonators detonate, causing shockwaves to travel through the explosives and impacting the uranium core, causing a nuclear explosion. All units within 11 km of the blast are affected by thermal radiation, while units within 3 km are usually instantly annihilated.

Vehicle

The vehicle itself is mostly automated; it can detect enemy ships from hundreds of kilometres away using an advanced radar system within the gun carriage, and it can use pneumatic loading rams to load the main cannon. The gun can also relay commands to the rotary table below it. However, it cannot fire itself, and nearby crew must decide on which target they wish to fire at. Once a suitable target is found, a crew can press a large button on a control panel, and everyone is given five seconds to get away from the vehicle. The gun will then fire its shell, which normally sends the gun back a few metres.

Crew are required for maintenance of the gun, namely cleaning, oiling, making sure that the AI does not become rampant, etc. Calibration is computed by the gun itself, reducing the need for technical engineers. However, technicians are still required, for any malfunction in the gun can be very dangerous if not diagnosed and repaired immediately. Engineers are required to change the barrel every 72 shots; the computer will track how many shots it has fired. Once 72 shots have been fired, the gun will refuse to move until the barrel is changed, a process usually spanning one to two hours.

There are no seats or motors, seeing as to how the gun does not need to move other than forward when it experiences recoil. The turntable below the gun can latch onto the bogies and bring the entire gun forward, and can also, of course, turn the gun if the gun tells it to do so.

There are several machine gun emplacements around the gun that may be taken off if necessary. The MG emplacements are usually the Yanitarian "Hag" MG, while occasionally PKMs are used instead. 2 shells are included in the purchase of the gun.

I want to know what made this coastal Artillery piece a viable option given the current level of missile technology. It would appear that with a 30min wait between reloads that this is a huge waste of resources... Unless The Soviets have something special up their sleeves?
Is this made for modern tech warfare or something slightly older?

S1 Flak Tank

Budget AA gun, cheap to deploy in mass numbers.

http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd188/NS_Crossbowman/s1flaktank.png

Side view, only two guns visible. Imagine that the other two are on the other side. S1A1. Own work.

[ABSTRACT]

As time went on, it was increasingly known that air power was the determining factor in whether a war could be won or not. A country with a massive air force can reduce the morale of a proud, patriotic army into that of an unarmed rabble against machine guns. Thus, it was required that a cheap, and easy to field anti-air gun to be designed and able to be mass produced.

The Stoklomolvi Munitions Depot, a massive collaboration of hundreds of private arms industries, recently released the S1A1 and S1A2 flak tanks. The S1A1 relies on the primitive but effective flak cannon, while the S1A2 relies on a combination of both flak and missiles. Fielded in large numbers, the S1 flak tank can demoralise skilled pilots, who would see a once bright blue sky turn into a stormy black cloud of flak. The S1 flak tank is based off of the Flakvierling, a deadly AA weapon that tore aircraft and people alike into shreds during the Second Great War. Instead of firing 20mm rounds, however, the S1 flak tank fires 38mm flak rounds, a custom round that explodes into a cloud of flak after a designated period of time. The reasoning behind the rather odd 38mm is to complicate enemy logistics, for the 38mm round was designed specifically for the S1 flak tank.

The S1A1 uses four 38mm flak cannons, each firing at different intervals as to give the appearance of many tanks firing at once. Most of the time, practical firing rates are used, giving a slower firing while conserving ammunition. During times of crisis, cyclic firing can be used, which uses two cannons at once to shoot down as many aircraft as possible. The flak tank usually carries enough ammunition to reload the main cannons five times, after which the tank is nothing more than a big steel box on a tread. The relatively low profile of the tank is specifically designed for ambush attacks on enemy aircraft; S1A1 flak tanks can be placed in forested areas and strike upon transitioning enemy bombers or fighters. If needed, the tank can fire upon enemy infantry; while this usually is not as devastating as upon aircraft, the huge clouds of black death can cause massive morale damage.

The S1A2 uses two 38mm flak cannons and 4 9M311 missiles. In this second version, the flak cannons are a secondary measure; the 9M311 missiles are used first, and then after which the cannons fire if there are still aircraft remaining. Unlike the S1A1, the S1A2 carries only enough ammunition for three reloads of the flak cannons, and is completely defenceless when it targets enemy aircraft with the missiles. However, due to a computer more advanced in the S1A2 than in the S1A1, targeting takes very little time, reducing this vulnerability to as low as possible. With the missiles and AI, the cost is doubled from §2 million to §4 million.

Both the S1A1 and the S1A2 use computer assistance in firing and loading, though the S1A2 is more reliant on the computer. After every shot, the computer checks to make sure that all systems were properly handled. Any spent shells are ejected out of the tank. The S1A1 can be manually cranked if the tank is not electrified, though the S1A2 cannot use missiles if it is disabled. The greatest vulnerability of both versions of the S1 is that the tank carries little ammunition and is highly reliant on logistics; if the logistics train is disrupted, then the ammunition on board will be useful for little.

The armour used on the S1 flak tank is a composite of explosive reactive armour and steel plating. The thick steel plating is designed to withstand tandem-charges that could pierce the single layer of ceramic plates on top; the majority of the weight of the tank comes from the armour alone. The usage of hydropneumatic suspension complicates maintenance, though the usage of a torsion bar would greatly aggravate its riders due to the general rough terrain in Stoklomolvi and due to the rather odd machinery within the tank itself. It has been rumoured that a torsion bar version of the tank is in progress for export, where the torsion bar would not change the cost.

The cost of the vehicle is given in stoklomovs, which has a usual exchange rate of 1.38.

Type 8 SMG

Showing the open-bolt, extended stock, magazine design, and overall size in comparison to the size of the hand/fingers at the trigger. Self made.

Militaries to the south of Stoklomolvi constantly clamoured for more weapons in their self-destructive wars against one another. Stoklomolvi, being the primary arms supplier for the skirmishing, decided that a cheap, readily mass-produced submachine gun was needed. Designed early on in the 9285th Punjab-Kashmir war, the Type 8 SMG served this purpose well.

At 4.5 kg loaded the gun is not very heavy, and the gun itself is made out of cheap, stamped steel construction for mass-production. Being a relatively low-quality and low-technology weapon, virtually no training is required; point, shoot. For the more experienced users, the Type 8 SMG uses a v-notch and post, since this type of iron sight is much easier to produce in the highly specialised arms factories in Stoklomolvi.

The SMG uses a primitive open bolt design. This type of bolt saves billions of dollars in manufacturing costs and is much safer during a battle, for the chance of a cook-off is eliminated. While there are some dangers to the open bolt, such as firing when dropped, it is still cheaper, and the gun is still lethal even at a low rate of fire.

Being a submachine gun, the Type 8 is designed for more close-ranged battle, as its low muzzle velocity and effective range greatly limit its effectiveness in a large, open plain battle. The Type 8 SMG was designed with urban combat in mind.

At §150, the Type 8 SMG is exported for a very low cost at $220.

SC-1 Pistol

http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd188/NS_Crossbowman/sc1pistol.png

Typical, unmodified SC-1 Pistol.

[ABSTRACT]

The Stoklomolvi Compact Pistol 1, or SC-1, was designed for use by ambassadorial and diplomatic staff if they needed protection. Since seeing a pistol would definitely be a distraction, a small, lightweight pistol was needed for this purpose. The pistol uses a very odd type of custom round known as the 8.8x19mm STK, which is used in a variety of light pistols and submachine guns manufactured by the Stoklomolvi Munitions Depot. The pistol was made as short and small as possible to aid in concealing of the weapon.

The SC-1 uses a blowback action, as gas-operation and bolt-action would not be feasible on a small pistol. Regardless, the bullet travels out of the gun barrel at very high speeds, allowing for lethality at relatively close range regardless of the size of the gun or round. To keep size small, the pistol uses a 10-round detachable box magazine. Custom types of SC-1 sometimes use extended 15-round or even 20-round box magazines, though these are not manufactured by the SMD. The sights are very rudimentary and basic, though they allow for quick aiming in tight situations. If need be, the sights may be adjusted to account for bullet drift.

The cost is quite low due to the relatively small requirement for resources, and thus the price tag is at a very low USD150$.

The original PSZ-9A body armor system was first fielded in 1990 to replace the YaB4 body armor supplied by the Soviet Union.
It was slightly heavier[11kg], though provided wider protection from 7.62x39 rounds fired from ranges of 40m, and was capable of stopping 5.45 and 7.62 Rimmed rounds from ranges at 100m and beyond. The PSZ-9A was primarily made of a 5mm steel plate, wrapped in several layers of a Kevlar. The vest was updated in the year 1999 to the PSZ-9B variant, which was redesigned to include built-in magazine and document pouches

The PSZ-9B significantly lighter, totaling at 9.8kg and could be worn under a winter coat during cold months and does not limit physical movement as much compared to the older version. It's protection was greatly increased by replacing the steel plate with several 6.7mm titanium-cored ceramic plates, wrapped in several layers of Twaron and DYNEEMA on both sides. When tested, it provided complete protection from submachinegun rounds, multiple hits from intermediate cartridges[20m], and at least single hit from 7.62 Rimmed AP ammunition at ranges beyond 50m.

The export version of the PSZ-9B retains the same capabilities, but lacks the built in magazine pouches, opting for MOLLE style webbing to suit the needs of Western armies. The PSZ-9BE is currently available in the following cover camouflage schemes:

-Khaki-drab [default, may be Olive-drab, depending on dye lot.
-Rain pattern
-VSR-93
-VSR-98
-Kamysh[Woodland and urban]
-DPM
-Flektarn
-Digital Woodland

On behalf of Jacques Tanks, Inc., a member in good standing of the Confederacy of Defense Corporations, I, Shigeru Tanks, CPA, announce our purchase of ten million shares of stock in the Stoklomolvi Munitions Depot. $192.3 billion US has been wired to Stoklomolvi Munitions.

Re: Investment

Our investment of $192.3 billion in your corporation is not only intended for our own financial gain, but also for the mutual benefit of our two firms. We request permission to examine an Ulyanovsk-class carrier, in preparation for designing an upgraded version of the Ulyanovsk. While we have the design plans, it is far more effective to observe a real-life example in detail, rather than merely poring over blueprints. Naturally, we would permit you to sell the new carrier in addition to us, as you have a greater market penetration in left-wing states. We would like a 50% commission on sales of the new carrier run through you.
