Project SPECTER (FT SIC semi open)

The Fedral Union

For Years The Terran Federation has been experimenting with with attempting to merge psionics to artificial beings under what is called Project Ghost light, it failed... psionics it seemed could not be merged to any thing artificial, it could not be wired, it needed DNA.. Project Ghost light was all but abandoned. However a man by the name of doctor Richard Alfred Lizbond one of the original men on the team of hundreds of scientist came up with a new theory.. why try to go psionic, when you can control what your naturally good at? He of course was speaking about electronics, computers Other AI's. After making a lengthy report to the newly formed SHEILD He was put as the head director of project AIONIC or what has become project SPECTER. Project specter was designed to improve upon existing AI technology, the result were several agents with hyper sentient AI clusters merged in to their contentiousness, with hyper sentient networking. The program has started out slow, only so far developing what is known as D to C class Specter agents. The team was always pushing the limits , with each letter grade higher, the more abilities the Specters had. A standard class D specter, could Ghost in to several systems, take only partial control , or at best confuse, and eliminate security protocols. Class C's could in fact manipulate the electronic devices to see what they wanted them to see, not just blind them , they were even able to make the devices they infested, unresponsive or malfunction.

One Terran In particular had stricken the interest of Doctor Lizbond , his name was commander Mike Gideon former commander of special forces team bravo he was tested under project ghost light as a possible candidate for psionic AI integration but the project was shut down before he was subject to any tests.... Gideon was pulled from his active duty as commander of bravo, and sent to the black nova research facility to undergo ... training.. he had displayed remarkable abilities before, able to some how anticipate enemy maneuvers after interfacing with a security monitoring station during a pirate raid....

“Gideon!” Yelled out Lizbond as he stepped out from a trans pad, his white laboratory hazard suit skin tight over his well formed body.

“Yeah what is it Doc?” Responded the middle aged man with semi rough skin , short hair and brown eyes peering up to the man in his hazard suit.. Gideon wasn't to thrilled to be out of the action his team was involved with.

Lizbond responded waving his gloved hand non Chantilly looking down through his mask.

“You ready for the first test to begin?”

Gideon nodded with a shrug saying in response with a dulled voice. “Sure what ever so say doc”

Good Lizbond said raising his hand placing over a holographic console the console began to beep and shimmer gently as a device opened up from overhead , a device with several crystals attached to a to it looked like it was fitted to a human sized head. These were ,mass data crystals able to transfer masses of data from one place to another in a flash using QE. Gideon looked up his mind resting on what was going on after this, he wasn't really worried about what was going to happen, nor did he know how he was going to change.

With a wave of his hand Lizbond initiated the process, flashes of bright white light emanated from the tips of the crystals striking Gideon in the head, Gideon was absorbing this obviously, he arched his back as he was flooded with masses data that wafted over his mind and body. He clutched the seat as the data stream seemed to be unending , but just as suddenly as it began, it stopped he relaxed and fell back in to his chair with heavy breathing. His hands clutching on the armrest, Lizbond looked down and asked in a cautious yet enthusiastic voice.

“Mike Gideon, are you there? Are you ok?”

Mike nodded resting a hand on his head slightly shaking it, the effects of his new hyper cluster of AI hadn't been immediate, they had to have time to adapt and install themselves on to his mind, he sat up a bit weak form the exchange he said looking over to the doctor.

“What happened?”

Lizbond responded with a chuckle, his eyes locked in to Gideons...

“You've been infused with some thing special my friend , very special indeed..”

Gideon didn't know what he meant by that, but he knew he would find out soon enough.. Several months, and downloads passed.. Gideon began to exhibit extraordinary abilities, he could see every thing and every one at once In the facility just by simply looking at a computer and ghosting in to the network, able to turn sentry drones against themselves, even had one shoot it self. He was still green though..

Gideon looked over to the doors, that had shimmered open, a man walked through, he was waring a blue uniform with black gloves, he was tall yet well built with Grey hair, his skin was suple and smooth. He spoke out.. to Mike.

“Commander Gideon, I have an assignment for you”

Mike raised an eyebrow but nodded “Ok shoot”

The man started to speak.. “Good, we have a ship waiting several thousand light years away from here out side of a perceived border of a country we only know as Xiscapia, your mission and your first test, is to infiltrate their networks using your ghosting and masking abilities, we want you to find out if they are a threat to us, and how we can contact them ..”

Gideon nodded slightly with a salute to the officer, who then saluted back, he said “when do I leave?”

The officer responded “right now you'll be transmitted over via ship to surface Stargate”

The ship was some what small, he stepped through the star gate looking around , it was not a ring shaped gate more like a super high intensity telleporter, he looked around and watched as officers wandered to and fro wit their duties on their minds he could sense emotion, he could reach out with his mind and touch systems he wasn't even close to, it was a rush. Mike nodded over to what he knew was the commander walking up to him and said .

“Its good the be aboard the Hunter... Commander Jameson ” The commander was taken aback obviously he had never expected this person to know the ships name... let alone his, he didn't know what he was taken on, only that he would have to send an anonymous burst of “static” in the direction of systems ...

“Lets get started then” the commander said motioning Mike over to a station that was set up Gideon sat down on the chair with a sigh, his well pressed Grey uniform resulting gently on the leather like material of the chair, with a sudden gas of air he started to focus, his body glowing gently his mind interfacing with the ship, taking control of it as he moved through to the communications array, several of his ghosts combined in to one , he commanded the system him self to send the burst, the ships power grid fluctuated slightly, lights flickered every one was confused for a second looking around, the burst was sent, Mike Gideon was now on his way to completing the first assignment of a SPECTER agent....

OOC: Specter stands for (Specially Programed Espionage and Counter Terrorism Expert Reconnaissance ) :P a specialized division of my SHIELD. Also if any one else wants to join TG me, or contact me via MSN or aim, or Xis, unless you want to be a separate entity or nation we will infiltrate. I don't intend to cause harm to any one unless they want that or will agree to have some thing happen.
Xiscapia

As luck would have it, Mike's first trial would be relatively small. Before he reached any systems or computers within the Kitsune Empire he would encounter the Border Yield Patrol And Security System (BYPASS), a series of almost completely automated stations set up in a "bubble" around the Xiscapia, marking the borders. Their intent was to stop enemy vessels, pirate, privateers, smugglers and other unwanteds outside of Xiscapian space so they could be negotiated with or destroyed before being able to cause any true damage. Unfortunately BYPASS was far from complete, but test runs and in-the-field events proved the stations to be more than adequate for their job. Each station had a thirty light year radius which it was assigned to watch for merchant traffic or incoming vessels.

The stations (http://space-club.deviantart.com/art/Centauri-Starbase-46905607) would be classified as starbases, truly, two mile long and holding about a hundred personnel, equipped with defensive weaponry, it's own compliment of small craft, and a vast array of communications systems and sensing devices. An excellent first run for Mike, any given station was highly susceptible to his influence. The resident personnel were bored and, not being at war with anyone, didn't expect anything to come up. They amused themselves in the library, in the VR, at the pool or gym or in their quarters, a skeleton crew of officers keeping watch with the enormous aide of A.I. and computers.
Totally unsuspecting.
