15 boats got out of a military port.
The boats where heading to the ocean, ready to fight pirates. The ships where filled ,together, with 2000 man.
The navy got a report that there where pirates, going to attack CM.
That is why they send ships.

With that, The SRCP Air Force fueled up and armed a total of 30 Tu-95 long range aircraft, and took off to sink ships for a training exercise. They would be escorted by a dozen Su-37, with support from an Il-76 AWACS.

The newly crowned, King Taishi Ci came to the throne alongside his borther Michael to now lead the strongly combines Vamperial Kingdom. However, his first act may be his last one. As he came out of the palace on Lynx Island, he was introduced to a man alongside two other men.

"Who might you be?" asked Taishi Ci.

"I am the new Pirate Warlord of Oceanic and I come to you asking for help," asked the man as he removed his hat.

"You know that Lynion's don't deal with pirates," snapped Taishi Ci. "My father did it, my grandfather did it before me and the others did it. What makes you think that this'll be any different?"

"We want to get back to our former life and become a powerful naval presence and become part of the Vamperial Kingdom," stated the man. "We just want to be simple men before Black Jack changed it all,"

"You can harbour in Lynion for the time being and there's a war out for pirates being hunted at the moment, so its best we inform them where we stand," stated Taishi Ci.

Concerning the Current Anti-Piracy Operations

Ladies and Gentleman,

It has come to my attention through various intelligence assets in my government and those of my close allies, that many of you are conducting anti-piracy operations abroad. While I applaud you for taking the initiative for global security, I do wish to bring a point to your attention.

True pirates operate under the flag of no country, being little more than nautical gangsters. Thieves and murders of that ilk are common enemies to us all. However, another category that is often grouped in under the terminology of 'pirate' is a legitimate holder of a Letter of Marque and Reprisal or, by another name, a privateer. It is this sort of seabourne patriot that should encourage you to ensure the identity of your targets. One land's privateer is of course another's pirate.

I send this reminder because I have issued a small number of my nation's private captains Letters of Marque and Reprisal. While each of these private captains are experienced Naval Reserve officers, they do not wear my country's uniform and have the right to arm private ships in pursuit of the duties allowed and directed by their Letters. My intentions in issuing these Letters is to help my developing navy curb the piracy threat within my own region of Fatal Terrain.

Be warned that they also have the capability to act against the forces and civilian shipping of Catawaba's enemies. At the current moment, we have no declared enemy, so my privateers will only act in defense of their own vessels or other similiarly in distress or danger at the disgression of their captains.

I only ask that you confirm the identity and nationality of your target before opening fire so as to reduce tragedy and potential international confrontation.

In international waters near the CM seas sat the Dominion freighter Iron Bacon, an older design the ship was making its slow journey back to Dominion waters. The Captain and crew relaxed, they felt safe. Safe from pirates.

The cargo of the freighter was a shipment of valuable Imperial Iron, tracked down by the Dominion's bureaucrats with great effort, procured at great expense but in a couple of months it would be home.

In international waters near the CM seas sat the Dominion freighter Iron Bacon, an older design the ship was making it's slow journey back to Dominion waters. The Captain and crew relaxed, they felt safe. Safe from pirates.

Suddenly tyrannosauruses in Migs (OOC: Calvin and Hobbes reference FTW!) appear from nowhere and bomb the bejesus out of the freighter! Then they release a giant magnet and suck up all the iron before escaping into the sunset....then the closing credits of "Russian Dino Space Pirates in Migs" roll and everyone exits the theater, leaving their popcorn bags behind to the great chagrin of the janitorial staff.

Unfortunately, the lack of an even remotely intelligible plot meant "Russian Dino Space Pirates in Migs" was panned by the critics. But because everyone love dinosaurs, space and pirates, it was one of the best grossing films in Zinairian history. The sequel is planned for 2012 and possible names include "Russian Dino Space Pirates in Migs of the Caribbean" and "Russian Dino Space Pirates in Commandeered A-10 Warthogs: Close Air Support from Hell".

As for the janitorial staff, they eventually barricaded themselves into a theater along with a full house of kindergardeners. In what can only be described as a clerical error, all 130 hostages were shot by police.

Aboard the patrol frigate CNS Scylla

Captain Rutherford Waxwell blew over the rim of his morning cup of caf, also known as coffee in lands outside of Catawaba. The morning was shaping up to be much like the rest of patrol cruise thus far. As lead ship of Frigate Squadron Two, or Frigdron Two for short, they were leading the dispersed patrol vessels scouring this bit of the ocean for pirate activity.

He took a sip and looked up over the seas. It was only a tad choppy, mostly because of the wind, but otherwise rather nice. He looked to the horizon. Even though he couldn't see them, he knew that most of Frigdron Two was nearby. The two corvettes under his command, CNS Lightning and CNS Vainglorious, were each sheparding their flocks of three ocean patrol vessels. Waxwell turned to his right and saw that the seventh small OPV, CNS Cattywampus was still alongside, tucked beside Scylla like a duckling to its mother. He smiled with pride. He'd come along way in the last few months.

With the Tanaaran's military 'gift,' the Catawaban Navy had grown exponentially overnight, flooded with new vessels of which Scylla was one. At the same time, the Miraade had activated naval reservists to fill the many vacancies in the more robust Navy and ensure that all naval personnel famaliarized themselves with the new equipment. Waxwell had gone from a reserve lieutenant to an active captain of a patrol frigate and commander of an entire frigate squadron.

He chuckled to himself as he took another sip. This sure beat working in a cubicle back in Mechanikburg.

"Sir, surface contact! Heading is one two zero at forty klicks." The Scylla's radar technician sang out as he hunched over his display.

Maxwell frowned for a moment as he thought. Lightning and Vainglorious were further afield and closer inshore. Scylla and Cattywampus were the closest vessels. "Helm, bringing us about to one two zero. Comm, give Lieutenant Fyatt a heads up and have him put the Catty down on the contact Radar's going to pass to you." He waited a moment for the recipients of his orders to answer back with an 'aye-aye, sir' and go about complying with his directions.

He turned back to the bow of the ship. It was probably nothing, probably just another damned, rusting bucket that had the misfortune to find the coast of Canedian Marine along its quickest course to its destination. However, he just wanted to make sure.

A patrol of Rafales from the VTN Curiass saw the CE battleships fighting the pirates.

OOC: Actually since I'm bored...

IC: A lone cruiser slowly cut through Canedian Marine waters. On the deck, Captain Genevieve Sykes stood in a black greatcoat, the cigarette in her mouth lighting up her face. She was the captain of the Ocean's Hangman, a licensed privateering ship of the Void. She could see the flashes of cannonfire in the distance, and was keeping her distance, waiting for the right time to intervene and destroy the remaining weakened ships.
"Easy pickings."

Aboard the DoSNF Iron Bacon things were quite, the crew were aware that two Comercial Dominion freighters were out there nearby, hidden by the night. They had been in contact several times the last week trading stories and news, playing games. Things were quite now.

The captain sat with his feet up smoking a pipe of marijauna. Across the room sat a small bothered looking Grey Bureaucrat attempting to fill in several pages of paper work whilst trying not to catch a buzz, unsuccessfully; yellow and lavendar forms flowed into a tide of ocean greens and blues and punctuation marks danced before his eyes.

It was a hyphen mating with an exclamation mark and a pound sign that convinced him to leave the control room and clear his head with some fresh air, he considered grabbing one of the crew to take over his stint of watching for troubles but decided against it, Alphons was the only one who listened to the Grey, and he was ingrossed in a game of chess with the radio operator of one of the other ships: The IB was the slowest of the three and they were falling behind quickly, this would be his friend's last chance to finish the game. The others were all either busy or below deck engaged in an orgy; unlikely to stop for him, or let him join, they were all still pissed off that he hadn't let them stop off at the last CM port and pick up a goat. But the paperwork for that would have been over four hundred sheets, more if they didn't just want it as a ships' mascot like they had said.

Ah well nothing was happening, with a sigh he left the bridge unattended save for the passed out Captain.

Naturally, we have been very suspicious, as the name of this state sounds remarkably similar to one which we nuked into a lake not too long ago. However, we have no proof of any similarity. Still, the purpose of this message is to inform all pirates and privateers in the vicinity that Stoklomolvi waters will be safe haven so long as ships owned by Stoklomolvi and her allies are not attacked in any way. "Hard port and head to Union!" shouted the pirate captain as two destoryers behind them were protecting a Lynion Freighter.

"We'll be passing by Canedian Marine waters and this will be a dangerous time sir," reported in the first mate.

The captain looked around the bridge as he went outside to get a breath of fresh air. The First Mate followed behind him as the captain looked at the freighter beside them as the waves crashed against the side of the ship.

"How far are we from Union?" asked the captain.

"About two hours Milo," replied First Mate.

"Ahh..." sighed Milo as he looked at the water before looking back at the freighter. "The Lynion's have granted us safety for all of us because we want to change but I feel...we can't,"

"Don't worry Milo," replied First Mate. "Black Jack was killed a few weeks ago and now we're free from the plague of piracy. Blasted people but how can the Lynion's be different from the rest of this damn world?"

"Oliver," started Milo as he watched the freighter and two destoryers. "The Lynion's are sympathietic towards their new found allies and friends. They're not Human but somehow, if they are true to their word like their reputation says, then we'll be safe. So far they only sent a submarine to escort us,"

"Don't worry Milo," started Oliver as he patted the shoulder of Milo. "They are always watching us and that freighter has more than meets the eye,"

"Heard about the pirates around Canedian Marine?" said the King

"Well, yes, Your Majesty," replied the Defence Minister

"I would want you to send a couple of battleships down there. I would not tolerate piracy in this world."

"Alright. I will do so right away, Your Majesty"

The Minister rushed off to his office.

"Admiral! Deploy your battleships immediately - orders by the King!"

HMS Victoria, the best battleship in the whole kingdom, with HMS King Jonathan and HMS Honour departed from the Royal Port and sailed towards the area of conflict.

Suddenly, cannons were heard....

"Fire!" shouted the Admiral to his sailors.

Upon hearing the command, all 3 ships fired at the fleet of pirate ships.

OOC: You can intercept them if you wish. I was just making sure my ships weren't under fire. Ohh...watch out for Canedian Marine because...he can be a bit 'jumpy' at times.

Astern of the Dominion of Sarrowquand's Ship Iron Bacon

Lieutenant Maxine Fyatt glanced over the shoulder of her weapons officer. She peered down at his screen which had a feed from the Cattywampus's Mk 98 gun's inbuilt Sperry Vision sensors. The Catty, as she was affectionally known, was cheap, simple Type-C patrol vessel that the Togovians had relegated to guarding Catawaba and that the Catawabans had subsequently liberated. It was rather slim on bells and whistles, so much so that her only low light/infared sensor did double duty for combat targeting and navigation.

The Sperry was trained on the Dominion of Sarrowquand ship, Iron Bacon, or so they could read on the stern of the vessel in low light mode. It had so far failed to notice them and the Scylla, going so far to blatantly refuse to reply to radio traffic. It was like the radioman was asleep or entirely ignoring them.

Fyatt straightened and looked out the port side windscreen. The Iron Bacon was nearly two kilometers distant. The small patrol vessel had slipped behind them in the darkness. She glanced back at her communications technician. "Davies, send a message back to Scylla. Tell them we've identified the first surface contact as a DoS ship, named the Iron Bacon. She's running like she's the Mary Celeste, no activity on deck or communications of any sort."

She stopped and turned towards the bow. "Tell Scylla we're setting course for the nearest of the two other surface contacts they painted." She turned to her helmsman. "Alright, Horrsel, one two seven, if you please."

"Aye aye, ma'am." The tall sailor made the slight adjustment to his course and looked back down on his captain. "What do you think it is, ma'am?"

Fyatt glanced ahead into the blackness. "No idea, Horrsel, but with that DoS Naval ship?. My guess they're a convoy moving past this tropical, pirate hellhole the Kingdom of Canedian Marine allowed to spring up."

ooc:I think I'm gonna mildly help the pirates for this one.. but I wish I knew what kind of ships he had..

"Copy, all safety's off, procuring target locks.. now."

With that, the Tu-95's fired their heavy cruise missiles at the Canedian ships. After confirming hits, they would RTB and rearm.

"Sir," reported in Olive as he came beside Milo. "We'll be passing by Canedian Marine waters. Do we put the freighter on Red Alert?"

Milo looked up from the side of the rail of the pirate destoryer as he watched the Lynion freighter float beside them. The waves crashed against them as the three destoryers and one freighter sailed into the Canedian Marine waters before dirverting course.

"Put the freighter on Orange Alert," replied Milo.

The three destoryers and the Lynion Freighter steamed back into Lynion waters as a fleet of warships could be seen in the distance. Milo went back into the bridge as he looked at the radar and realised there was a destoryer after them.

"Ohh..." started Milo. "We got a destoryer after us,"

"This is Vamperial Freighter Seeker calling unidentified destoryer. Please identify yourself," said a voice over the radio.

"Incoming missile threats, deploying counter measures."

"Crap, I'm hit! plane is still flyable."

"Fly as close to home as possible, then bail."

"Yellow Squadron, drop some FAB-250's on their battle ships, Bear's are returning."

"Roger"

With that, the Su-37 flew erratically, dropping bombs on the battle ships. Several Tu-160's were called in, and would arrive shortly.

The ships of the Kingdom of The Royal British States was going on patrol.

"Look out for enemy pirates!" commanded the Admiral.

OOC: Chernobyl-Pripyat, remember i got around 40 ships here. I fleet...

OOC: 1) The US Navy has 200 ships (and the US is like forty times your size) so you probably don't have forty just on this mission (especially not thirty battleships), 2) Although battleships' general modern worth is debatable, they sure as hell are useless against pirates. Hitting a ZODIAC or powerboat (the common vessels of modern pirates) using a battleship would be like using a railgun to kill a fly.

Seeing the insolent actions of the CM Navy to friendly forces helping to help, the 4 battleships of the Kingdom of the Royal British States sailed for action towards the CM Navy.

"Some pathetic brats hitting on the hand that feeds him! Don't he know we're helping him?!" exclaimed the Admiral

"Commands, Admiral" said the Vice-Admiral

"Command all ships to battle. We shall teach the idiots a lesson."

"Should we really do this?"

"If we don't, they may hit us next..."

The RBS betraiyed us! Return fire!
The ships, who where fireing on a other pirate ship, that just sunk, they opend fire against RBS ships.

The crew of HMS King Jonathan abandoned their ship and boarded HMS Victory. From there, reinforcements are being called for...

"We need reinforcements. CM Navy sunk HMS King Jonathan"

The Defence Minister, upon hearing the call for help, deployed 4 destroyers, 2 aircraft carriers and 2 battleships to CM waters.

As the 2 fleet merges, the real war on CM begins...

"Radar is picking up an armada Milio," reported in Oliver as the squadron dirverted course and idle inbetween Canedian waters and International waters. "Its Lynion and Fungi warships,"

Embassy in Royal British States

Joseph looked up as he was given the letter before watching the men leave the building. He quietly opened the letter and read it to himself quietly.

"Anything wrong sir?" asked a Hunter.

"Nope, they're just thanking us for allowing us to use our ports for repairs," replied Joseph. "Its odd how Humans work. I would've thought a telegram would be easier but I don't think they want to talk to Vamp at the moment,"

A chrous of laughter erupted around the embassy as Joseph sent the telegram back to Lynion to be given to High King Vamp.

International waters inbound to Union

"I want the battleships to form a defensive grid around the allied navy. Destoryers and frigates on the outer rim, carrier in the middle and submarines to form a net of sonar," ordered Tzu as friendly warships went past them.

The Vamperial Navy formed a defensive grid around the allied ships as they helped towed any warships in if there was any. The three destoryers and freighter joined the safety of the grid as they headed towards Union.


OOC: You won't be heading to Lynion itself just to Union which is a colony.

As the ships approached Union ports, the Admiral could finally rest.

"Tomorrow will be another fight... again. Buckle up, my sailors!"

"This is Vamperial Headmaster Admiral Tzu calling Union dockyards," started Tzu into the intercom. "We got numerous warships coming in. The Lynion and Fungi ones will go to the eastern docks while the Royal British Navy docks here,"

"Copy that sir, welcome home," replied a voice.

The bulk of the Lynion and Fungi warships headed east while five battleships, the freighter and the aircraft carrier docked in the harbour. Tzu and six Lynion Hunters ventured out onto the docks for a stretch while the rest of the crew took the moment to have a breather.

"Aren't that just great," smiled Tzu in full navy blue uniform with several medals across his left side of the chest. "We're at war with our oldest enemy and now his come will come soon,"

Admiral Thomas walked down the deck of the salvaged HMS King Jonathan, in the dry docks of Union.

"Thank god this old chap could survive the mines of the CM Navy. Jimmy! When will this ship accompany us to war?"

"Union repairers are quite good. They could bring this ship back in action within a few hours."

"Thats good! Just in time for tomorrow's battle. Hows the other ships?"

Tzu looked around as he noticed two gentlemen laughing. He wondered along the docks as workers got up and nodded to him before going back to work. They realised he was high up because of the eye patch over his left eye and his fangs inprinted on his uniform at his shoulders.

"You must be the commanders of the Royal British Squadron am I correct?" asked Tzu.

"Well yes, how can I help you?" replied the Admiral

"Let me introduce ourselves, I'm Admiral Thomas Rook and this is my Vice-Admiral, Jimmy Elise"

Lynion carriers lunached their Interceptor's as something was appearing off the west coast of Union. The battle was on as Swatter's opened fire with anti aircraft missiles.

Tzu stood up as a piece of sharpnel was coming out of his armour plating as he removed it. He undid his jacket and looked at the minor wound on the mechcanised part of his torso before turning back to the others.

He could have engaged the four jets indivdually, before dropping a pair of bombs at the water line of the battleship, causing it to sink, and then continued on to drop bombs onto the aircraft carrier, causing that to sink...

You know, my own, real life country, Singapore has more than what I claimed to have. More planes, more ships and lesser people. Only 4.5 million.

"Check these out boss," chuckled the officer as he put a pile of photos and radio transcripts on his boss' desk. "Another pointless fight between nations we've barely heard of."

Adjusting his glasses, the Division Commander lent forward and peered at the transcripts. "Candeian Marine? Lynion? Royal British States? Who the hell are these people?"

"We just sent a diplomatic mission to the Royal British States sir," reminded the junior officer. "They also sent one to us. So at least we know who they are."

The Commander buried his face in his hands and let out a deep sigh. "You know what, with new nations emerging almost daily and war erupting nearly as frequently, it's a wonder that we even have an intelligence agency."

"Better than nothing, I suppose sir," ventured the junior officer. "But there does exist a chance to improve diplomatic relations. We could offer some assistance to the RBS, it's not like the Canedians can hurt us in any way."

The Commander grinned widely, and slapped the junior officer on the shoulder. "Not a bad idea, draft a memo to the Emperor."

The idea was presented to the Emperor, and he quickly agreed.
"War presents wonderful opportunities to forge friendships that endure like iron," he said and the many officials present nodded in agreement at his wisdom. A courier was dispatched at once.

An armoured SUV drew up to the embassy, braking sharply. A woman in sharp business dress exited the vehicle, carrying a suitcase. She approached the guards and told them that she needed to speak to Ambassador Walter at once.

Outside Canedian waters

"Osik..." The dumbfounded radar tech breathed as she took in the wild, criss-crossing trails of missiles and the sudden appearance and disappearance of radar contacts that signaled reinforcements to the battle and the battle's inevitable flotsam. Captain Waxwell and his Executive Officer were permanent fixtures just over the tech's shoulders as they watched battle dissolve into chaos.

The XO glanced up to his captain. "Gorram, this is turning into a right good Charlie Foxtrot mighty quick, sir."

'Charlie Foxtrot,' vaguely translated from military jargon, meant a close-quarters intercourse. Waxwell nodded in agreement. That was an adequate description of the situation. "Roger that, Phil. It's like every third world junta is going around with their hair on fire. I'd be willing to bet all the sociologists sitting about back home will blame it on the summer heat."

He returned his attention to the radar screen for a few moments, before straightening up. "Comm, I want Vainglorious and Lightning to take their flotillas out to sea and close with Scylla and Cattywampus."

"Aye aye, captain." The seaman in charge of the communications immediately started sending out flash traffic to the two corvettes.

Waxwell glanced out at the running lights of the DoSS Iron Bacon that were growing on the horizon above the inky blackness of the dark ocean. He turned his head to his XO, Phillip Navarre. "Phil, I want a signal light trained on their bridged. Start with flashing who we are and demanding an answer in Morse."

Navarre nodded, "An' if they keep wit' the Mary Celeste act?'

The captain shrugged. "Move onto calling their mothers ugly things. Those freighters Cattywampus is closing on are probably hers." He nodded to the Iron Bacon. "...but her non-responsiveness...I don't like it. Not. At. All." He stared at the DoS ship.

Also I like how CM's pirates have killed the king and seem to have captured CM naval vessels and arnt looting anything. Sounds more like a mutiny to me.

CM, that thread is locked. After 30-odd posts of OOC chat, including one in which you said the war didn't happen, I ruled it was a dead thread. Please read my explanation there of "closed".

ISA, the RBS/CM squabble never was an issue for Sarrow or myself. We may refer to the conflict that happens in periphery, but we have no want to play out the conflict. Our ships would merely be fleeing the conflict and while we deal with our own issues. It'd be something like the Winter War between Finland and the USSR with a backdrop of WWII.
