It had been some time since they had last saw each other in person. Few people would forget the fateful expedition that brought two nations closer together. Most people did not realize that the present day Abh Empire is only a fraction of its former glory with its capital space city lost to all. In olden days, the Abh Empire had encompassed nearly all of humanity and ruled over the stars under the guise of prosperous peace.
The nation of Xanthal had been a part of that history as it was once a former territory of the great Empire. A small population of Abh still inhabited the region though far removed from the culture in some cases. Still there was a connection between the Abh Empire and the Socialist Republic of Xanthal to be found. Each side had a piece of the missing puzzle to the whereabouts of the once glorious floating Imperial Palace. It didn't take long for the two nations to come together for a joint expedition to locate the lost city.
While the mission failed to locate the elusive city, it did however find something else. A relationship between two people that were once diametrically different from one another, began to form into a cooperative relationship that sought to secure what was best for both nations. From then on, while the Abh and Xanthalians did have their difference, they remained close allies throughout the many years.
Perhaps one of the greatest achievements of that expedition was that it brought two people, who would never have met, together. When once they were galaxies apart, now were drawn close despite the distance between worlds.
Keirn've was an officer aboard the Imperial vessel and flew as Emperor Dusanyu's pilot for the mission. During that time, a personnel exchange had taken place which the Socialist Republic sent an Abh woman by the name of Sabriel. A first encounter that left an impression on both as they have stayed in contact with one another through the years.
Unfortunately there was little time for rendezvous with one another. Sabriel continued to climb the military ranks in the Labule while Keirn've became a high ranking officer serving in the Information Bureau for the Abh Empire and serving as the head of diplomacy and intelligence for the Galactic Federation. Both were dedicated to their careers and suffered the arduous conversations through clyunos.
Finally a time had come when Keirn've took a leave of absence from Star Forces and put in for vacation, destination Xanthal. He had talked long with Sabriel about the visit wanting to make sure he would not interfere with her own career and worked to plan the trip on a suitable time for her.
Amidst all of his travels to countless words and under different names and disguises, Keirn've found himself in Trasnia using his own name and looking very much the part of an Abh that most Xanthalians would be accustomed to seeing from the Abh Empire. Silver winged tiara wrapped around his head and plain gray clothing, usually reserved for the well to do ambassadors, Keirn've felt self-conscious actually appearing as himself.
He only hoped that he would not look disappointing to Sabriel when she came to see him.
