History: In the year 200, when the continent of Anemos was reigned over by the Kingdom of Ragnos, the decision to create the County of Contigo was made and was implemented in the same year. For 600 years the County remained unchanged, except for perhaps a few changes in the Count etc. However, in the year 800, the Kingdom was weakened by successive assaults from its neighbor, the Kingdom of Tolbi and as a result, the Contigoans, led by Count Falos Miridin, rebelled. Alhough they suffered heavy losses, the military reforms implemented in secret by Count Falos the previous year paid off and the Contigoan Militia defeated the tiny amount of Ragnosian troops inside the County. In the same year, the County of Contigo declared independence and was the last bastion of defence against the Tolbian advance. For 200 years the Kingdom fought a relentless war against Tolbi until on the eve of the year 100, Contigo won the battle of Anemeren, or Anemos City. This meant that they now controlled exactly half of the modern nation of Anemos Major, and a fifth of the continent itself. In celebration of this event the Kingdom of Contigo became the Great Empire of Anemos on January 1st, 1000 and the nobility system was introduced. The first High Lord, Melos Miridin, continued the war against Tolbi and four years later they captured the city of Fioren. However, High Lord Melos Miridin died later that year and he was replaced by High Lord Imris Miridin, a lazy, easily persuaded fool unfit to rule Anemos. The Tolbians, jumping onto the situation with arms outstretched, used diplomatic conferences lathed with military threats of a full scale invasion to persuade Imris to give them back Fioren and Anemos City. Imris agreed, and the people of Anemos were enraged. Luckily, before any more damage could be done, Lord Ilfir Erenthi I, greatest High Lord of Anemos , took the throne. He was the first of the Erenhi dynasty that continues all the way up to now, and he began his career as early as 16 years old. He led the army in a massive siege of Anemos City, and the might of his troops combined with his strategic AND tactical genius was truly amazing. He coordinated a four-way assault on the wall, but that was just a diversion to let a detachment of crack troops enter the city unnoticed, kill the governor, sabotage every major facility inside the walls and finally, murder the military commanders inside the city. At that point every soldier in the city surrendered, but not easily, and in a show of extreme generosity High Lord Ilfir Erenthi I granted these men citizenship in Anemos, allowing them to instantly transfer to the Army of Anemos with their former ranks intact. The Tolbians were moved greatly by this and at the next siege of Fioren, they proved their worth by fighting to the death on the walls of Fioren and their 60 man unit single-handedly fought 200 Tolbian troops and easily defeated them, capturing the South Wall of Fioren. The capure of Fioren was a major success in every right, but Ilfir Erenthi I was not to stop there. Until he died at the age of 76, he continued fighting the Tolbians until he had recaptured all of Anemos back for the Empire. He died after his last battle in the city of Phaedon, on the East Coast of Anemos, looking out at sea as he lay dying of old age. His last words were "I have died seeing the flag of Anemos over all of this land, and I see the flag of Anemos flying over other lands after I die." So ended the glorious reign of Ilfir Erenthi I.

Over the next centuries, the Great Empire of Anemos truly became great, owning lands worldwide. However, in the years 1950-51, following the devastation and carnage of the Second Great War, civil war erupted in the Great Anemonian Empire, and soon the once great empire had been split up into a fraction of its former strength. Under the effective leadership of Ilfir Erenthi III, Anemos Major, one of the results of the civil war, has made it to the 21st century as a major superpower, but on the 24th of December, 2008, he died.
