The economy of the new republic has been gradually switching from military equipment production into more lucrative and open markets. Such as ship building, large advances have been made due to government funding into electronics research and development as well as advancements in aerospace technologies.

Large developments have been made in the expansion of fishing and other marine harvesting industry. Although the republic government has enacted several new laws making environmental protection a priority.

Automotive manufacturing has also increased as factories once building tanks now have been refit to build automotives of all types.

Oil drilling and refining remain among the top industries within the republic as does the production of synthetic fuels.

The production of military equipment continues and remains among the top five industries in the republic although the new government has raised taxes on exported military equipment as well as halting the sale of certain equipment for security reasons.

Major Imports for the Republic are agricultural equipment certain luxury items and raw minerals as well as timber and other natural resources.

Culture:

With the resignation of the Emperor and the formation of the Republic new civil liberties have been enacted and the government secret police have all but disappeared.

People may now freely voice opinions on the government or officials and free open elections for senators are held every four years.

The Government now openly assists the people instead of repressing them and several welfare programs have already been established to assist those who are less fortunate.

Military service remains compulsory from the age of 17 for both males and females. Compulsory service lasts for four years although in peace time apart from training exercises enlistees would also be attending university and other higher level education.

There is no class system within the republic and a small farm worker has the opportunity to one day become a corporate CEO should he have the desire and knowledge to do so. As education is free provided by the government.

Languages
Official-Gatawan,English,Hebrew,German
Unofficial-Italian,French,Arabic,Russian,Spanish

Foreign Affairs:

The Republic pushes a diplomacy first doctrine and seeks to negotiate out problems rather than engage in conflicts.

The republic is still staunchly anti-socialist however the republic takes an isolationist policy and does not openly attempt to stop the spread of communism.

The new republic government encourages foreign trade and economic dealings lowering tariffs and adding other incentives to invite foreign markets into the republic economy.

The republic takes a strong stance against terrorist supporting or rouge states with no centralized government.

The republic takes a neutral stance towards dictatorships but encourages democracy at least on some level.

Specialized Units

Had Jemzi-"most Loyal ones" The best of the best highly trained unflinching bravery and discipline acting as body guards to Gatawan officals they are also the elite units of Gataway's military and are very heavily armed with fast infantry support attack vehicles and an assortment of heavy machine guns and mortars as well as anti-tank weapon platforms non divisional units of the Had Jemzi carry out special operations counter-terror etc etc

Indramu Vathe-Upon noticing that the Had Jemzi military units were becoming overstretched in their duties Emperor Sinakus set about establishing the Indramu Vathe..or Black Cross' Guard whom unlike the Had Jemzi who swear allegiance to the entire Imperial Kingdom

the Indramu Vathe swear loyalty solely to the Emperor himself..they are taking over the protection of Imperial Officials...and will share in the formation of regular army divisions although they will be directly under Emperor Sinakus...the Indramu Vathe will also work with the GSSF and work with rounding up enemies of the state...and assist the GSSF in maintaining certain imperial prisons..and work camps

Indramu Vathe members will consist of 100% pure Gatawan citizenry...and youth training programs will educate Indramu Vathe inductees in the fine arts.. higher education as well as military and physical training from field exercises to tactical and strategic training...including the use of armored divisions

The minimum age for acceptance into the Indramu Vathe is 3 years of age for both Males and Females of pure Gatawan decent...

Capped at 5000

GSS-Gatawan State Security Forces
In short government secret police although following reforms their presence in everyday life has been minimized they are still the eyes and ears of the Emperor and also serve as the Imperial Intelligence gathering service
