Somewhere between the second and third spiral arm of the galaxy.

A single Victory class carrier and two frigates sped along through the blackness of space. The galaxy layed out around them, but above and below was darkness.

On the bridge of the carrier, the captain stared out into the void, contemplating the things that sentient beings do when bored. Suddenly a channel window popped open in the view screen that the captain just so happened to be staring at. The image was a uniformed man, hair pulled back in a short ponytail as was the style for most men. The man nodded, "We've picked up something that appears to be what we've been looking for. I'm moving in for a closer look, initial scans show the planetoid to be made up of mostly iron ore, with a few exotic minerals."

The captain nodded, running a paw through his crimson headfur. "Proceed at your own discretion, if its viable signal the Sanctuary that we've found it." The Kitsune yawned a bit, closing the channel. "continue passive scans, have all wings on standby, and tell the Fredrickson that we may have found what we're looking for."

The three ships had spread themselves apart to the edges oftheir sensor ranges to sweep the area for small planetoids that could be converted into a new HQ for the Red Talons.

On board the Diligent, the frigates captain instructed to have the ship orbit the rouge moon. "Scans show underlying geostructure stable. Its compleatly dead." Reported the sensors officer. The captain nodded. "Well then, signal the Sanctuary via Ansible that we've found a site for Home."

The signal went out via Ansible direct to the Sanctuary. The massive factory ship relayed the message throughout the high command. The approval filtered down to begin, and that a guard detachment would arrive shortly to oversee and defend the project.

The captain gave the signal and the frigate released a small drone pod that guided itself to the planets surface. The pod seemed to melt on impact as it dissolved into a nanite colony. Seeping under the moons crust to begin construction.

After a day or so a purple black rift opened in space near the moon, out swept nearly a hundred ships. At their center was the massive Ragnarok. Flanked by four Victory class carriers. The fleet was followed out of the rift bu thousands of noncom ships. The moon, which had now shifted its color across the surface to a flat black, floated silent and motionless in the deadness of space.

A flight of shuttles left one of the carriers and descended to the moon where a hangar bay opened up. The construction nanites having nearly finished with the assembly.

Repair teams had began a full check of the inner structure from the moment the first shuttles had touched down. A skeleton command crew arriving on the bridge to boot up primary systems. a tech team checking thuroughly through the computer systems before they began to upload the primary mainframe operating system. An engineering crew deployed in the 'reactor room' where there was constructed a new type of reactor.

The reactor looked like a rudimentary sphere. The sphere was composed of 38 huge gravity induction coils. On the inner edge of each one, and built along the framework of the sphere were emitter arrays. Power cables and various other ducts ran like webbing out from the generators. The entire system was contained within a second sphere. The tertiary reactors were brought online, which in turn supplied the power to cycle up the induction coils one by one. As each one came online it was put through rigorous diagnostics by both tech teams and engineering teams. When the last one was brought online and showed all green. The command was given to start the primary power core. A single tiny lump of neutronium was liften into the center of the inner sphere. The emitters began to charge the empty central core with gravitonic energy. Concentrating it steadily onto the single focus point. slowly, light in the core began to dim as the gravity increased. Emitters began to compensate, creating a 'zero' buffer zone to prevent the increasing gravitational forces from imploding the entire core. As tech teams watched, the graviton emissions began to sky-rocket. The induction coils siphoning and channeling it into energy from what was now an artificially created micro singularity. Power levels spiked ad the skeleton bridge crew began to bring main systems online, followed by secondary systems and tertiary systems. Lighting switched from the emergency red to normal. Outside, running lights flickered to life. showing that the black surface looked somewhat like a golf ball. The massive black moon had actually doubled in size since it had been found.

(please note, that if it were to be compared with a true black hole, it would be like comparing this Hotwheel (http://www.southtexasdiecast.com/hwguide/images/400/420.jpg) to this dump truck (http://www.michaelcaronna.com/home/content/e03_MineTruck.jpg) )

A few hours went by before the signal went out that all was going well, and the noncom ships began to flock to the moon. A single massive door opening up on the equator of the black moon. Its iris door slowly streaching open as ships began to trickle in. Each ship unloading compleatly before being carried away by an automated system to be stripped and recycled.

The new 'station now fully manned and operational, it began to steadily move away from where it had sat adrift for untold eons. On the bridge of the Pegasis, Grand Admiral Roze looked over a report of the project and nodded. "Project Home is complete. Continue under standard protocol."
