STL Colonization Fleet From Earth....

The Colonization Fleet was in low orbit over the fourth planet. This star system was and had a single star with about six planets in the system.

The Fleet had been ancient by more modern standards and it was by the grace of god that the slow moving vessels managed to make it to this system without being destroyed by all the haphazardous dangers of venturing through space without the ability to travel faster than the speed of light.

The Fleet had been commissioned by several European nations to help several million people escape the great purge on Earth. It was said the planet had suffered greatly at the hands of invading alien forces and only 2 billion people had surrived the alien onslaught.

The Fleet was pre-programmed to these specific coordinates and the passengers were put into cyrostatis only to be awaken once the fleet had landed.

The Fleet was now ready and the cyrostatis chambers all 5 million of them released there cargo. The dethawing process took about fifteen minutes and once this task was completed the ships promptly landed on the oceans of the planet.

The large passenger ships would use patrol ships and shuttles to land the travelers to their new home.....

***********************************************************************

Several Years later.........

The Planet Hansia stood majestic and proud as the once homeless travelers developed it into a more modern and industrilazed civilization. The people had to live quite primitively in the begining due to lack of supplies and lack of foresight on how to best develop this new world.

The people had tried to form a democratic and free government but the times of that kind of life, were quite uncertain with the constant fear of alien invasion and possible human realtives seeking to add Hansia into their own growing Empires.

It was thanks to this trauma and fear that one lone man Otto Von Lichenheim managed to politically take control of the planet and proclaim himself Kaiser (Emperor) upon 2350 AH. (After Hansia) This started the rise of a growing sense of national pride and unity among the many citizens of Hansia.

They eventually managed to develop a wormhole jump drive device that allowed their once primitive starships to travel into other starsystems in a matter of days as opposed to the months it once took to reach the closest starsytems. It was thanks to this technology that they managed to begin a sort of Imperialist manifest destiny on several systems in their area of space.

The Imperial government however decided to send deep space probes out into the void of space to find out what other planets and systems were out there. It seemed safe so far, The Grand Star Empire had not run into any other human or alien civilizations since the colonization of there throne world and the prospect of expanding the realm of the Empire was always on the top of the list for the reigning Kaisers and Kaiserins of this growing and hungry Empire....

The probes were launched shortly after the death of Kaiser Otto Von Lichenheim and his successor his daughter Kaiserin Sophia Von Lichenheim promptly had taken the throne. She was new to power of the throne but was determined to make sure her Empire was secure from all threats. She promptly began a policy of increasing the funding of her military and the construction and development of new technology and weaponary to help support her rise to power.

The probes continued to go into the depths of space scanning many starsystems and worlds for new areas of conquest for the Empire. They had yet to find any other species that could compete with the massive power of the Grand Star Empire and they would eventually fall into the dominion of the Kaisers....

********************************************************************

The Present..............

The Hansian Empire continued to expand it's growing military and territoral expansion. The current Kaiser was Kaiser Otto Von Lichenheim III he had successfully taken the throne upon the death of his father Kaiser Wilhelm Von Lichenheim about five years ago.

The probes had continued to seek more systems for the Empire. These mechinal spies had found several starsystems that were already or going to be invaded by the Imperial Star Navy. The probes had yet to find any threat to the Empire and as such continued on course. It would seem that one day the Empire would expand to far.

Edge of Heart Of Armaggeddon Territory(EHOAT), Star System B-452

The thermonuclear fireball snapped into existance above the medieval-style castle. The 80 megaton pure-fusion bomb instantly vaporizing the castle, the surrounding villages, and their inhabitants. Further away, entire towns were flattened by the humongous shockwave that spread outwards from the point of detonation. As the massive fireball rose into the planets stratosphere, leaving behind nothing but flat surfaces, the same process was repeated over-and-over again across the planet.

Why did the planet, home to a unique species of sentient beings found nowhere else in the galaxy, suffer such a fate? Because the Heart Of Armaggeddon (HOA) had found the planet, and the HOA had decided to colonize the planet. And the presence of a alien species amongst humans was unacceptable too the HOA. Thus, the cities, towns, castles, and the people of this civilization was to be liquidated by thermonuclear fire. The HOA was not concerned about radiation poison, as the pure-fusion bombs the HOA used left no radioactive fallout for any more then six hours.

Of course, the small liquidation fleet the HOA had sent out did not expect any other star-faring civilizations to show up. They did not know that this system was about to be visited by a probe of the Hansian Empire.

Star System Goringheim.....

The Hansian probe was an old model having served roughly ten years of service to the Empire. This probe had been responsible for providing intel on several star systems that were now under Imperial dominion.

The probe had just finished scanning a starsystem near the border of the HOA's territory. The probe had found nothing intresting in this starsystem and marked it for possible Imperial settlement as a fuel station for the Imperial Star Navy...

The probe promptly exited out of the system via a timed Wormhole jump. The probe's internal wormhole jump drive activated and began to pulse. The focus point for the beam errupted about several feet away from the probe and the probe's engines began to push itself towards the event horizon of the wormhole.

The wormhole promptly sucked up the probe and sent it towards the outer edge of Star System B-452. The probe eventually threw itself outside rift that made the secondary event horizon in the local star system. The probe's primary mission began to activate and Electromagentic scans of the star system started to comence.

The star was first to be scaned than the planets, It was however the liquidation fleet that caught the notice of the probe and it began to run more intensive scaning of the area. It concluded that the fleet could prove to be a threat considering the damage that had been done to the planet. It thus decided that the primary mission had been complete.

The probe sent a ultra high frequency that was encoded back towards Imperial Space. The message would indidicate this system had a possible threat to the Empire. The probe than began a self destruct countdown to avoid allowing Hansian technology to fall into alien hands....

With a sudden pop, like the crack of thunder amidst a rainstorm, the DEV Cosmic Dancer skidded back out of hyperspace, drives pulsing with a steady thrum as the arrowhead craft idled within this new system. They had no idea where they were, who they might find, their natural inclinations towards exploration stoked by the recent convergence of alien life in their home system.

Thousands of high-end sensors whirred and took in their surroundings; placing them amongst the vast star-fields and the worlds of this system. A small dull sensor pop had sounded, a suddenly explosive burst amongst the monotony of the system proper, before the sensor arrays had converged upon the liquidation fleet as it laid waste an entire world. A torus of white-hot atomic light crackled and dispersed above the tiny world.

Oh perfect. I wander the stars and find world-slagging savages, while the Brighter Days Ahead, a MHU no less, gets to play diplomat with aliens. Why do I find the ones that seem to shoot things? It's just not fair. For a shipbrain, the Cosmic Dancer had a whiney, almost fundamentally paranoid side to it. It enjoyed the work, of course, going out and finding things, taking the tiny humans who scuttled about within it to other newer vistas.

But you never knew what you would find, did you? There could be anything out there, anything at all! Like aliens who seemed intent on thermonuclearly cleansing entire planetary bodies. Nice sorts.

"Can't judge a book by its cover. Could have been full of anything. Violent insane killer monsters...Hegemonising Swarms....Mad killer robots."

Only one of those could really by killed by fireworks like that.

"Suppose so. Should we take a look, maybe say hello?" Nissa Ktelf smiled, her lightly browned skin wrinkling as she did. She brushed her hands down her trousers, kneeling down to gaze more intently through one of the screens. "They might be mostly harmless towards us?"

Always a possibility. Though not one I would wish to visit in statistical odds.

"Cynic. Let's try."

Oh, alright then. If anyone dies it's your fault.

"Like you ever let me forget. I'm sure everyone else is interested anyways."

The shipbrain tapped into the dataverse, facilitating the opinions of many through neural interlinks and terminals. She was right, of course, an overwhelming sense of interest and excitement. Broadcasting...

Greetings vessel. I am the shipbrain of the Myenyan Collective vessel, the DEV Cosmic Dancer. We come in peace and with good will, though admittedly a little lost. We were hoping we could talk, have intercourse, as it were.

Also, something exploded rather nearby. I was wondering if you had any idea about that?

Bridge of HOA Apocalypse-Class Destroyer FG-432

From Low-Earth Orbit, Captain Mitchell Haynes gave a slight smile as the mushroom clouds from the nuclear explosions reached skyward. While pure-fusion bombs, even at their highest yield, did not have the planet-cracking capabilities of a c-frac missile, they were still a nice way for one too unleash nuclear fire upon hapless extraterrestial scum.

As overall commander of Liquidation Fleet-1432, Haynes's job was simple: when a probe discovered a habitable planet containing primitive unwanted extraterrestial sentients, he would be dispatched too mass-nuke their world. Liquidation Fleet-1432 was small even by HOA standards. Just two Apocalypse-Class Frigates who were smaller then the single Doombringer-Class Transport.

"Alright, call TS-227," Haynes said to an adjutant, "Tell them they are authorised too dispatch the shocktroops to hunt down and liquidate any remaining ETs."

"SIR!" A Lieutenant yelled from his position at the communication console, "We are recieving a message!"

There was silence on the bridge for a moment or two, then Haynes looked at the Lieutenant and said: "Open me a dialogue with that vessel and start sending the message up the chain-of-command. Oh, and after that, send off that message to TS-227."

He waited until the Lieutenant gave him a nod to begin talking.

"Greetings DEV Cosmic Dancer. Before we can divulge any information to you, we must have this made clear. Your initial message indicates that you are some sort of Artificial Intelligence, are-or were-your creators human?"

My creators were equally advanced machine-constructs. Our pre-decessors were created by humans, and we exist in peaceful co-harmony with humans, of whom there are a great many upon me. I am a Designated Exploration Vehicle of the Myenyan Collective, a humble wanderer meandering across the stars, as it were.

I am, what you would term, a highly evolved and advanced form of artificial intelligence.

"So you are not directly created by humans. I see."

There was a short pause as Haynes nodded to himself, had the ship belonged to a starfaring ET-race, he would have ordered it to leave HOA territory immediatly. But since it was human, or human designed/made/whatever, on the other hand...

"Very well, this is the frigate FG-432, I am Captain Mitchell Haynes of my nations Space Fleet. Forging order out of chaos, we are the Heart of Armaggeddon." The last sentence was the motto of the HOA, "As for the explosions, those were caused by the detonation of approximately fourteen-hundred pure-fusion nuclear warheads set for a yield of 80 megatons. The warheads were targetted on important centers of communication, government, military, and commerce of the dominant species of this planet which were ordered liquidated as-per Marshal Order 001. We are preparing to deploy HOA ground forces to finish off the remaining population of the planet in order to prepare it for standard colonisation."

There was a moments pause, and then...

"Would you like the galactic coordinates for the nearest trade center? We can call ahead so that they can prepare diplomats and so you will not have to deal with this conversation again."

I suppose that could help. Mind if we stick around for a while? We're explorers, just wanderers really and we rarely find cultures as candid as yours seems to be about this planned little genocide of a culture and species that seemed to be in your way, let alone the wasteful nature of nuking a world before you colonise it.

Don't you worry about radiation and what not? Regardless, we'd love to observe a while, perhaps record some opinions or observations from you. We're always interested in aberrantly violent cultures, especially since the only order forged from chaos here will be the inevitable colonisation out of smoking nuclear prim-ruins.

If you don't mind me being a tad candid myself, that is,

The Inquisitor

The Dreadnought-Class Carrier, the Inquisitor, slipped out of Hyperspace, lightly battered as pods rushed out from their bays and began repairs. The Reliant a Corelin-class Destroyer jumped in a minute later The Obervation/Navigation bridge witnessed the extermination. Captain Krieg of the Inquisitor was woken up with a shrill beep. Sitting he threw on his top and walked out of his quarters. As the slidding doors hissed the orderly on duty stood up from his desk and saluted. Krieg saluted back.

"Whats the deal here?"

"Sir the Ob/Nav has something interesting to show you."

"Ok thank you."

"Oh and sir! Sectors 48, 38, 32, 22, and 76 are currently down for repairs. The other affected sections have been repaired and restabilized. The Ardent, and Cannon will be jumping in soon. The Reliant has just arrived."

"Thanks."

Capt. Krieg walked to the lift, and almost ran into the door. "What the fu--" The sign read Sector 48. "Oh, right." Krieg turned around and walked through some more doors and reached another lift. A minute later he was at the Ob/Nav. "Wierd name gets me everytime."

"Captain! Check this out, Sir!" The lieutenant played it back.

"Wow. Thats some serious firepower. Maybe we can get Fort Ash to fork over some heavier weapons for the Dreadnoughts." Krieg said wishfully.

"Sir, those ships look dangerous!" said the paranoid observation officer.

"Calm down. I know you are still freaked that our esteemed Admiral Coli was blown away, but that comes with the territory of being in our outfit. Now get the Signal Officer to hail them and tell the OIC on the Reliant to stop freaking out." Krieg was wondering why war-hardened officers would show such lack of bravery. The Dragon Fleet was hit hard but they one the day. "Hopefully our impressive friends over here could lend us a hand."

Greetings, powerful ones, This is Lord Alexander Krieg, Captain of the Inquisitor, Dreadnought Superior of Fort Ash. We mean no harm, but as you can see we have just jumped out of a battlezone. The rest of my fleet will arrive soon. Please excuse the Reliant for any wrong doing the Reliant may have shown in arming up. It was the Reliant and its crew's first battle.

The Reliant

XO, now CO ever since the Captain died, Briggs was raising shields and....

"Battle stations!" Briggs yelled! The bridge turned red, and the massive plates outside the bays pulled back as cannon and missle turrets rose out. Defense Pods deployed from their bays as men scattered to areas.

"Incoming hail from the Inqusitor!" a signal officer reported.

"Screen it" said Briggs

"Briggs, Relax and Stand down. We are hailing them now." said Krieg. The screen went black.

"Ok...Reliant stand down." commanded Briggs "But essential combat personell stay at your stations" The bridge turned blue and then normal, the signal officers were sending shift schedules for the essential combat personell and defense pod operators.
