We would like to open up military trade talks with your nation and ours as we have a common bound of being neighbors and good friends to show the world that we welcome any chance to further our ties with each other. We extend hand of friendship to your nation and to your General Staff to join my Joint Chiefs of Staff in open talks for a military trade and military alliance between our nations. As it would be beneficial for our two great nations to work together and help shape and protect European Nations from outside attacks. We believe that our two nations working together could and will make all nations in Europe stronger then any other nations in the world.

We have brought you here to talk about arms deals that your nation and your military industry to help bring the needs of the UCF Military Forces to being fulfilled. French Imperial Guard and Japanese Imperial Guard would like to buy the production rights to the following arms and equipment:

As these weapons systems would be used for the French and Japanese Imperial Guards units that are becoming operational every few weeks. They are currently using standard French and Japanese Weapons Systems, but your systems would be used as the standards for both of these forces.

Also we would like to talk to you about opening both our nations to a full military exchange and joint military forces to better combat threats to our two nations as well as the rest of the world. We would like to first start be creating a Franco-German Corps, using units from our two nations. We are willing to place two of our Divisions under your command from the French First Army Group. We are hoping this would bring our two nations closer to working better and if we can work together then we could bring in the Republic of United Nations to join us in this European Military Alliance.


We hope that you will accept what we ask and in return we are willing to share any and all our military equipment and give your Military Forces production rights to build what they need as long as we have a open working relationship.

OCC1: Maybe later after I finish up with my talks with Sixth as there are some military issues I would like to discuss with your government, however for the moment I'm more interested in discussing the political matters. For example what's going to replace the EATO alliance if anything as I'm sure you aware of by now I have submitted my withdraw from the alliance.

Shimabukuro arrived in Paris via an A380 military transport and headed to the meeting.

General Sarah Jane Parker, the 1st Regiment of Infantry of the French Republican Guard, 1st Battalion, Scots Guards, The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, and Konoe Shidan Japanese Imperial Guard of Japan where on the tarmac of the airport waiting to render proper honors to Deputy Minister Shimabukuro Masuko. General Parker was waiting with her aids to move from the airport to the Palace of Versailles which is the new home of the Head of the United Citizen's Federation and also host to many major Governmental meetings.

The Honor Guard comes to attention and render proper honors to the Minister and the rest of the Diplomatic Mission.

General Parker moved to the steps and greeted Minister Masuko, "Hello Minister Masuko and welcome to Paris and to the heart of the United Citizen's Federation. I look forward to our meeting and hope that we have a productive meeting and we can move our two nations closer together Minister. Please will join me for our ride to the Palace of Versailles for our meeting. Also Minister you will have a suit in the Palace for your stay." Parker waves to the waiting SUV.

"General Parker," he said, "It is a pleasure to meet you, and an even greater pleasure to visit the heart of the United Citizens' Federation. I am thankful to your country for my superb accommodations while I stay in the UCF to conduct what we all hope will be a productive meeting."

"Minister Masuko we are pleased that you can find that our nation can accommodated you for your stay in your lovely nation. We are looking to hope that we can talk about the current war between our nation and Italian Republic and that your nation would bring our nation some help with crushing this Italian Republic problem. We also have seen them try and bring the end to our Holy Church." General Parker, hands Minister Masuko a packet about what current operations that it would not be a threat to national security. "Minister, I hope that we can also get talks about a possible military alliance between our two nations and hope that we can become a powerful alliance and dominate the globe. We are hoping to bring an new Anglo-Franco-German-Japanese Alliance."

"General Parker, we hope to have a productive meeting, and we are interested in furthering relations with the Federation."

"Minister packet that I have handed you was that of our current military operations for the Italian Conflict. We are allowing you to forward these to your military and see if you would like to have your forces join our forces and we would allow you to have the Northeaster part of Italy and if you would like to go after the rest of the Vineyard Empire. We are willing to help your forces to in any military or civilian operations against the rest of the Vineyard Empire that has not fallen into our hands." General Parker took a drink of water before speaking again. Also it gave time for the Minister to take everything. "Minister I would hope that with the expansion of the our two great nations that we would bring either a grand new empire for people to come to look at as a might nation that they can live in with many grand freedoms and rights that most other nations would not allow them to have under either the Vineyard Empire or any other nations. I also thing that we might want to look at bring the Middle-East under our join control with the fall of the Kingdom of Kopparbergs and Alif Laam Miim we would need to bring these under control before we start to have any type of terrorist operations upon our forces either in our two countries or in our many colonies that we have Minister. I believe our nations can help bring peace and prosperity to these people. So, Minister Masuko would you think your leaders would join our nation in these operations Minister?" General Parker just sat and waited for the Minister to responed to what she said.

"General Parker," Shimabukuro said, "what you are proposing is a massive undertaking. We certainly appreciate your grand vision of a new world, and your understanding of short-term risks, such as terrorism from Kopparbergs and Alif Laam Miim."
"The proximity of northern Italy to our border has, indeed, caused an increase in various types of trouble along the border. We would be willing to conduct a joint operation to take control of Italy from the criminals and restore law and order; northern Sardinia and northeastern Italy are our priorities. Our military representatives will be in contact to work out the logistics."

"Minister, I believe that if you would like to have a few our General Staff members to meet with your military representatives your welcome to have them join you at the talks and we can kill two birds with one stone Minister. As for your wishing to move into Northern Sardinia and Northeastern Italy would help us with our current military operations in the area of our southwestern French Border would be helpful as we have three Imperial Corps that are conducting operations in the area and would welcome any help from your military forces. We would also like to fourm a Franco-German Brigade of our two forces Minister."

Deputy Minister of Defense Zbigniew Kazimierz Chechlinski arrived at the meeting and greeted both of the men. Shimabukuro had already briefed him on the situation.
He then said, "We are ready to help your forces immediately. We currently have two Type 212 submarines, three F125 guided missile frigates, a F124 air defense frigate, a Fridtjof Nansen Class Anti-Submarine Warfare Frigates with an NH90 ASW helicopter, and six Skjold class patrol boats based in southern Sardinia, from where they can travel the short distance to provide naval fire-support for your forces near the French border [OOC: You wrote "southwestern French border," but you mean "southeastern French border," right?]. The frigates should be able to begin firing their MONARC 'smart' artillery rounds, which have an effective range of over 50 miles, tonight or tomorrow, provided that your military can send us the targeting data.
"In addition, we are prepared to send two squadrons (24 aircraft each) of Tornado ECR with an escort of an He-36 multi-role fighter squadron, in addition to refueling tankers and AWACS, to 'sanitize' northern Italy of enemy SAM sites and provide limited close area support. Moreover, we have XB-70 and B-2 bombers ready to provide tactical bombing support with JDAMs once they receive the targeting data."
"As for our forces, our special forces should be able to secure Trento within two days, and our army should be able to capture key enemy strongholds near the Swiss-Italian border within a week."

General Parker, seen the new man come into the meeting room to join the meeting and she was told by Minister Shimabukuro that he was Deputy Defense Minister Chechlinski of the Reich Ministry of Defense and he would be able to inform General Parker of the military forces that the Reich would be able to deploy to the Italian Theater of Operations. “Ah Minister Chechlinski, nice to meet you as I am General Parker, Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, United Citizens’ Federation Department of Defense. Minister Chechlinski, I am staff officer, so I will turn over the floor to General James O’Conner, Commander, Italian Theater.” General Parker looks at the Irish General as he stands and moves to a computer platform brings up the current military operations for the Italian Theater. “Minister Chechlinski we are moving forces into the Italian mainland as we speak Minister.” With this Gen. O’Conner brings up a map of Southeast France and Northwest Italy. “Minister as you can see that we broke the main assault into three sectors and they are 1st Guards Cavalry Corps assaulting towards Genoa,” showing that now on the map. “the 1st Guards Tank Corps is assaulting towards Turin and then onto Milan in which the 1st Guards Mechanized Corps will be assaulting Novara and then to link up with the 1st Guards Tank Corps at Milan. They will be moving that way as we are going to be using the 1st and 2nd Guards Parachute Divisions to make an airborne assault to link up with Holy Catholic Forces in Milan as most of the area is under the control of the Bishop of Milan and the Holy Catholic Forces.” Showing the major combat map of the Northwest Italy and also Northeast Italy for purposed Reich military objectives. “Minister we ask that you send military forces in the following cities to help bring them under control and they are Bergamo, Trento and Venice as these are major cities on your boarder, Minister.” Gen. O’Conner takes a drink of water and keeps going, “Minister we are also have a Coastal and Island Assault Forces made up of the Guards Marine Brigade, 4th Commando Brigade, Royal Marines and 5th Commando Brigade, Royal Marines take either the coastal ports or take Sicily. Also we have forces right now at the da Vinici International Airport, which is made up of the Irish Rangers and part of the 1st and 2nd Marine Infantry Parachute Regiments that way we could bring in reinforcements that way but they are under heavy attack from forces from Rome. Also parts of the 1st and 2nd Marine Infantry Parachute Regiments have taken control of the Port of Fiumicino, so we could land the rest of the 13th Foreign Legion Demi-Brigade and move them up to Rome to help with the defense of the Vatican City in which the 1st Foreign Legion Battalion, 13th Foreign Legion Demi-Brigade and Escadron de Reconnaissance, 13th Foreign Legion Demi-Brigade. These forces are taking heavy loses as all we can really do is send close air support in the form of Tiger Attack Helicopters and other helicopters, but for the most part they are also taking loses from SAMs in the area Minister.”

General O’Conner shows the area that there are SAM sites on the map. “Minister, I understand that you would be willing to help with destroy them. So, Minister we have all the SAM sites in all the major operations areas at the moment with the exception of mobile units attached to fighting forces Minister.” O’Conner nodes to a Lieutenant to hand the Minister a data stick with all the information on the SAMs sites, Italian Military Forces and UCF Italian Forces operations and command nets, so the Reich’s Forces and link up with UCF Forces. “Minister we are also issuing orders that your military forces have began to work with UCF Forces to help end the Italian problem. We ask that you bring forces to Rome via an airborne assault as we are also going to deploy the 3rd and 4th Guards Parachute Divisions and we have also brought back the 11th Parachute Brigade of the French Army and the 16th Air Assault Brigade of the British Army to help with being deployed to Rome also. We are hoping that within a few weeks that we are going to also wrap up our military operations in Korea Minister. We would like to know if you could deploy forces in the Italian Capital in support of our special forces in the city.”

Chechlinski received the data stick from the general and gave it to his assistant, who transmitted it through a secure satellite communications system to the European operational commander, Ulrich Herzog.
He told the general, "General, we will launch our first surprise enemy-air-defense-suppression mission tonight in full force. Our forces will also be able to take over Bergamo, Trento, and Venice in the near future; our military commanders will keep you informed. In addition, we can also prepare to assist your forces in Rome tomorrow night, in addition to immediately providing precision-guided fire support from naval vessels on the coast."

OCC: Sorry to butt in, but I think I can answer that question for you. If you will recall me and Vineyard got into a little scuffle some time ago and though Vineyard has since vanished from Earth V, during that little snafu of ours IIRC he stated what air defenses he had in Italy (upon my request). I don't remember the exact thread he stated it in nor do I remember all the details, but I think he had PAC-2 Patriots mostly concentrated around his airbases including a massive one just outside Rome that contained again IIRC most of his defense fighters numbing in the thousands.

Sorry, I couldn't be more helpful, but the thread in question was the last time I checked saved in ALM’s reference thread. When, I get a chance if you still haven't found what your looking for I'll take a look and see if I can find the exact posts.

"God, I lost all my files when my old computer crashed.

But yeah... They're essentially scattered. Mostly protecting cities, major infastructure (Bridges/Tunnels), bases, telecommunications, and radar instillations.

And yeah, the biggest airbase outside of Croatia is right outside of Rome. Good luck taking Italy, he will need it."

General O’Conner, was just given a note from the Air Operations Officer about the current SAM sites and Anti-Air Artillery in the Rome Area is based around Viterbo, Terni, Rieti Italy. Also there was a major Military Airbase just outside Rome under full control of former Vineyard military.

O'Conner turns to Minister Chechlinski and says to the Minister, "Minister I would like let you know that there are Major Anti-Air and SAM sites in the following areas as we have seen so far is Viterbo, Terni, and Rieti. Along with a Major Airbase just outside of Rome that is still under control of the Italian Provisional Government which is nothing more then made up of the former Vineyard Military Officers that is still holding Italy and the Holy Roman Church hostage with their oppression."

General O'Conner waited for the Minister to get everything he need to understand about what was just said. Then O'Conner goes on to say, "Minister Chechlinski I believe if you would like to bring in a airborne force to the da Vinici Airport that is under the control of the Irish Rangers and parts of the 1st and 2nd Marine Infantry Parachute Regiments have secured the airport and also parts of the 1st and 2nd Marine Infantry Parachute Regiments and 13th Foreign Legion Demi-Brigade has also brought the Port of Fiumicino under UCF control Minister. We would like to make a drive to the Holy City as quickly as we can Minister if you could get your forces in the area as quickly as you can Minister. We would also like to know if we could bring troops through Switzerland to make a major thrust right down the center of Italy?"

General O'Conner then just sits down and begins to place Waring Orders out to units in the field to begin preparing new operational orders to archive victory.

His aide securely contacted European Command. After a minute, the aide whispered into Chechlinski's ear.

"General O'Conner," Chechlinski said, "we are prepared to defend the Holy City and put an end to the Vineyardian remnants' holding the Holy Roman Church hostage. Tonight, NH90 helicopters will launch off of our frigates off the Italian coast to carry 150 naval special forces to the airport. A380 military transports will also send 30 Leopard 2E main battle tanks and 60 Puma infantry fighting vehicles with their crews to the airport.
"In addition, that 'major airbase' of which you speak will not exist by this sunrise. Our B-2 bombers will ensure that.
"All aircraft will fly in from the west from outside of Italy territory. First, our B-2 stealth bombers will destroy the imperial air base outside of Rome. Once it is destroyed, our A380 and NH90 transports will begin arriving at the airport. Meanwhile, one squadron (12 aircraft) of Tornado ECR aircraft will take out high-priority SAM sites between Fiumicino and Rome, while the other squadron will support our main army's thrust into northern Italy from Switzerland.
"Our main attacking force will consist of an ad hoc division of 1,500 Puma IFVs, 300 Raketenwerfer MARS, 1,000 Leopard 2E main battle tanks, 3,000 Leopard 2E PSO (non-lethal, designed for securing urban areas), 100 NASAMS AA defense vehicles, 60 Tiger HAD attack helicopters, and 30,000 infantry, with nine squadrons of Heinkel He-36 multi-role fighters designated for operational support. It will cross the border after a B-2 assault on the Turin airbase occurs, which is designed to happen simultaneously with the bombing of the Rome Imperial Air Base.
"General Herzog of European Command is sending formal operation plan now via a secure channel to UCF command. We intend to launch Operation HEILIG tonight, with your approval."

General O'Connor has listened to what the Minister was saying about what they are going to be sending into the conflict to help with the defeat of the remnants of the Vineyard Empire that still believes that they have the rights to hold what was the old Vineyard Empire. "Minister we would like to ask that you also provide us with the current information on if any of your Diplomats are still in Rome and also if you have any military personnel at your Embassy in Rome? As we think that if you could do a recon of the area where we might suspect that General Gianni Geronimo might be and we would like to have your men or if you have any intelligence agents watch him and record his movements as we are going to be doing a Snatch and Grab Mission of the General and maybe we can use that to our advantage, but I am not sure that would work thought. We are also going to be green lighting the forced removal of all IPG General Officers with deadly force. If you agree with that Minister?"

"Minister we would also like to approve your mission and we are going to be setting up full operational Field Command in Alaccio, Corsica. We welcome you to send any military officers that you would like to join our staff. This would be a Joint Italian Theater Command, where all the military services would be able to run operations out of and allow them to know what is going on with the other services. Minister also we are planning to begin a major assault on Sicily with your help of course. We are going to plan to assault with in the next week. We also would like to know if Minister Shimabukuro has talked to you about our military equipment inquiry from your nation?"

General O'Conner began to issues orders to the UCF Joint Special Warfare Command for their respective operators.

"General O'Connor," Chechlinski said, "we do not have an embassy or any diplomats in Rome, as we never officially recognized the Italian Provisional Government. We can, however, immediately send on one of the transports headed to Fiumicino airport a detachment of our intelligence agency's special activities division. These men will blind into the population and conduct recon -- some are native Italian speakers -- and could also assist with the 'snatch and grab.' Our diplomats are also working to have him declared an international war criminal, which would give us justification for doing such an operation.

"As for supplies, we will now allow our defense industry to accept most orders for military equipment from your government. We can only 'lend' any high-need equipment, if necessary.

"As for ROE, our aircraft are operating under 'weapons tight' ROE, and we strongly suggest that your ground forces also fire only on targets identified as hostile. Based on past experience, we know that it would be extraordinarily unlikely to find an IPG general who surrenders, even when he knows his death is certain. Therefore, it would hardly be a surprise if your forces kill all the IPG officers they find, if they suspect any Vineyardian military member might surrender, he should be given a fair chance to do so. Maybe some of their forces have mentally cracked since the fall of the Vineyardian Empire and might surrender?

"As for the field command, Lt. General Lukas Hoffman (army) and Lt. General Heinrich Karl Wagner (air force) from European Command and Rear Admiral Friedrich Hans Müller of the European Fleet will be our commanders present as representatives at Alaccio. They will be able to coordinate our support for the invasion of Sicily."

"Minister, my nation has asked that we form a European Federation Military Command and that our two nations join in also in forming the European Federation which would be like the United Nations but with its own ability to conduct military operations without relying on member nations to provide military units. The European Federation would also replace the former alliance EATO which was dissolved after many of its members nations became under internal attack for being part of the alliance. So, our nation would like to form this alliance with more of a European style. We will be allowing our two nations to be one in the sense of a unified Europe but we will also have our own nations to run without having to send a peacekeeping force out into the world when the European Federation Military Command would be able to send these forces from its Enforce Corps. We would like you to think it over and let us know what your government would like to do with this alliance. We would also like you to invite the Republic of United Nations into this alliance as we are the three largest nations in Europe. Minister we await your governments answer."
