Yanitaria City, Yanitaria - As of 00:00 17/8/08, the long awaited album, Agitation! has finally been released, free of charge, on to The Pirate Bay as a torrent file by it's owners. The collaborative effort by several independant rock bands, or "indie" bands to the younger generation, has sparked great controversy. The government of His Majesty, King Frederik Norheim II, has officially chided the artists, while the King himself is rumoured to be one of the 400,000,000 Yanitarians to aquire the album. However, the number is "Truly staggering," as Kjell Solheim, the Professor of Popular Culture at U de V explains. "What people fail to realize is that almost a quarter of our population have in their possession this album, and it has only been out for a day. These artists have mobilized and entire generation, telling them to do things like create CD groups to download the album and burn it to discs for their friends who either do not know how to use bit torrent or don't have an internet connection or computer. Not only have the created the single best selling Yanitarian album of this decade, but they have done it with out charging their listeners!"

Michel de Cannes, one of the many artists of the album, was elected by the groups to handle interviews while they prepare for a charity concert to be held here in the Capitol. We were able to sit down with him and have a chat.

YNW: This album is obviously a historical piece that has rocked the nation. What do you feel is the biggest key to your success?

Michel: Well, there were a lot of things. First of all, it helps that Yanitarians know how it feels. I know that some of the artists, in particular Astrid from Evolution Kills were surprised when I, an Arkadian, showed up for the first meeting. Her eyes nearly popped out of her skull! [Laughs.] But after the initial shock, everyone sorta got used to it. There were even jokes about how I was "mistakenly on the wrong side."

But aside from that, I think the biggest thing was to have all these famous independent artists. It really helps that we don't have a record label to weigh us down, because, for instance, there would have been previous engagements that a corporate record label wouldn't have let us cancel. Also, a lot of us already had drafts for our songs that we had written before the idea of a collaboration had even come up! I think that lent a lot to the quality, since we didn't have to rush anything, and because we had each other to get the creative juices flowing.

YNW: Well that certainly is interesting. Did any of you foresee the amazing success that would eventually come from this album?

Michel: Well, sort of. Our forums were down every night during the last month, usually early in the morning. A lot of the fans thought it was just because of the shitty host, or the incompetent staff running the website, but after the first three days, we checked with our host, and they told us that the crappy servers needed to be taken down for extensive maintenance because of the traffic we were getting. And there were other signs, too. I'd be out on a date, for instance, and I'd hear a group of teens discussing the album heatedly, then I'd see a group of people with "Questarian Freedom" buttons, and then I'd see a group of 20-somethings arguing over whether or not social change in Questers is possible. Hell, I was playing a small venue one night, and the crowd demanded I sign my song from Agitation!, which of course I couldn't. Also, we got a lot of donations from around the world, and we even got a group of volunteers to translate fan mail regarding the album into french for us.

YNW: That's another thing. This album had to have cost money. How much? And where did you get it?

Michel: Oh, that's the great thing. The father of the singer for Communerds, Anna, has been their producer since they started. He has all the equipment, which itself isn't rare for a popular indie band, but his equipment was really nice. He was a great guy, too, treated everyone like family, he even called me son.

He did his thing for free, and he was very professional about it. He was a sound engineer for 20 years before his daughter started a band, so he knew his stuff. The website and in general getting the word out was the most expensive bit. But because so many people are plugged in to our music, that we had no problem getting discounts left and right. Fans chipped in, but of course we paid a lot of it. Astrid especially.

YNW: We have to ask (Seriously, it's in our contracts), you've been spotted on several occasions with Astrid in social settings. Is there anything going on?

Michel: Well, we are both very private people, but after this album, you shouldn't be surprised to see any of the contributing artists hanging out. We've all really become close, some closer than others.

YNW: Before we go, tell us more about this concert.

Michel: Yes, well, it'll be in the Theater District in Yanitaria City on the 23rd, at the Black Diamond Concert Hall (http://www.dattapeetham.com/india/tours/2004/nada_prasara/denmark/concert_hall.jpg). As a joke, a friend in the Yanitarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent Benjamin Russell and Alexander Beaufort II each ten tickets in the front row, but we know they won't come. Of course we've asked fans not to drink or smoke at the concert, and we are putting a strict limit on the number of tickets. But all the proceeds are going to charity, and the tickets are already sold out. We've collected, from this concert, over 1,000,000 Marque Royales from just the tickets, and the owner of the hall is donating all the profit from the concession stands, plus there will be merchandise. It's going to be the concert of the century.

YNW: That sounds great, we'll see you there.

*For english speakers, this title is a play on words. Siège, in French, means Siege, however, it also means Seat, which, in Yanitaria, is also a slang word for one's bottom, similar to the English word "Bum."

First of all, one has to give it up for these great bands. From the super stars to the relatively unknown "Erik est Mort", these artists are actually making a difference in the world. Now on to the actual review. With all the hype surrounding the album, I was fully prepared to be disappointed, and let me tell you, I was completely off base. Lyrically, these artists have obviously influenced each other, with the plays on words that one comes to expect from the Communerds, Ah L'Ironie, or DEATHMØLE being found throughout the album. Further, my personal favorite is the vugarly named "Va Te Faire Enculer", a pleasant and exciting duel of lyrics between The Communerds and DEATHMØLE. In this song in particular, it seems as if every band member engages in a friendly battle of notes with their counterpart in the opposite band.

Also, it is interesting to note the conceptual continuity; the album cover being red, white, and black, but entirely hypothetical is actually very subtle symbolism, which I only recognized after I noticed the same theme of red, white, and black, hypothetical action, and popular movement throughout all of the song's lyrics. Although it was hard to spot, all of the songs are somehow tied together in a way I personally haven't seen since Ah L'Ironie's last album, Decembre.

On the purely musical side, I am not a big fan of Génétique, as it doesn't quite seem to fit the tone of the rest of the album, and I wonder if that is somehow done on purpose. This particular song is the only one to mention only one of the colors of the album cover, and perhaps the different tone is a subtle reminder that the Questarian whites are the minority? It is extremely hard to tell, which I am sure will be very popular with intellectuals around the world. However, all the songs are extremely good, and, even though I almost always use The Pirate Bay to download music for free, I would be willing to pay money for all of the individual singles if they come out. However, my only complaint is that the music is different from what each of these bands usually write. The influence is heavy, and the music in this album is distinctly different from the sounds I have become accustom to from these bands. But perhaps this is just more symbolism!

I'd give Agitation! a 10/10, perfect score. A must have, for any hipster, music nerd, or freedom loving hippy. It's free, so you have absolutely no excuse! Although you can, and I know that I will, make a donation to the cause at www.FreedomThroughMusic.ya

Reponse to a Tiny, Insignificant Nation of Capitalism and Reaction:
The King, as a monarch and a reactionary, can never give blacks equal rights, only blacks can give blacks equal rights by overthrowing reaction and backward politics.

Our government has had equal rights for its races since the end of colonization, yours only gave equal legal rights 6 months ago, whose government is backwards? Equal legal rights mean nothing in a reactionary country. Only revolution can solve the problem of injustice. There are countries where equal rights have existed on-paper for 150 years and yet people are still as oppressed as ever.

Meanwhile, Omar Bakdash sat at his desk discussing things with Head of Security Forces Lisa Taesun. "This is quite good. We've got him! Send a letter of apology to the government of Yanitaria and send the order to arrest Amani, he will be demoted to only a member of the Central Committee. You are to replace him as Chairman of the National Assembly. Our time is now!" "Yes, it will happen." responded Taesun. The plot had been laid and the time had occured, this was the opportunity to purge the last major Anti-Bakdash figure in government.

Almost immediately Sinde was arrested and taken to a jail. He was informed of his crimes "against revolutionary internationalist decency." and removed from his post as Chairman of the National Assembly.

Lisa Taesun, a loyal follower of Omar Bakdash, took her place as Chairman, she wrote a letter:

We issue a humble appology, the Chairman of the National Assembly, Amani Sinde, was speaking out of place, with no authority derived from the Party leadership. His opinions were his own and not the opinion of Leader Bakdash nor the overall leadership of Karuchea. As such, he has been removed from his state post.

Yanitarian independent rock album speaks out against Questers, gains success in Aprika

HEMEL - In Aprika, anti-Questarian sentiment is nothing new. The Questarian government's refusal to sell arms to Aprika in a proposed 15 billion dollar sale several months ago over human rights reasons provoked an unprecedented response from the media and population, deriding Questers for allegedly being no more free than Aprika, in particular pointing out the multitude of racial issues prevalent throughout the Questarian empire.

With this in mind, it should come as little surprise that new independent rock album "Agitation!", released for free on the internet and composed by a collaboration of artists hailing from Yanitaria has became an overnight success in Aprika, with some 15,000,000 downloads reported throughout the nation, or around six percent of the population last estimated to be at 251,000,000, instantly shattering the previous record for a foreign language album.

However, this release has not been without controversy. Anti-government group Democracy Union of Aprika has reported on it's website that the album's themes of oppression and racism are "Just as valid to Aprika, if not more, as they are to Questers, which unlike Aprika, has been making major strides towards a new age of liberty", citing recent dismissal of a proposal to officially recognize the widely spoken in Aprika Arabic language, an international human rights organization's claims that government sponsored Westham Industrial employed slave labor, Aprika's refusal to support Questers in attempting to eliminate the practicing of slavery in Doomingsland, and Aprika's refusal to re-adopt democracy. DUoA has stated that they wish to bring together underground artists in Aprika to create a similar critical piece on the Aprikan government, and has also donated $100,000 to "Freedom Through Music", the group responsible for the release.

In response, the government has issued a statement claiming the counter points that perhaps more than 80 percent of the population uses English anyway in day to day life, that claims of slavery are completely unfounded, that Questers attempted to violate the sovereign rights of Doomingsland, and that democracy in the end only weakened the country and ruined it's world class industrial sector built up before and during World War II. In the same statement, the government said on the subject of the album that while they find it somewhat worrying that such an attack on a legitimate state could be produced, the Questarian government is "Not without it's sins".

As publicity continues worldwide, download figures of the album are expected to continue to rise, although none have put forth any solid estimates on just how far it will go. In addition to DUoA's donation, other groups and individuals in Aprika have donated a combined total of $76,861 to Freedom Through Music.

Agitation! sees over 100 million downloads by Aurum Domans

Agitation!, the acoustically stunning protest album by a group of Yanitarian indy rock bands, has seen tremendous success in Aurum Domus. The Armed Republic has never been friendly with Questers, let alone any Havenic nation with the exception of Doomingsland, and these numbers really just personify that. Racism has never been tolerated in Aurum Domus and is a crime punishable by a lengthy prison sentence. A recent poll conducted by ADNN showed that 80% of Aurum Domans thought Questers was a tyrannical ass-backwards nation. That alone should tell you why Agitation! has seen so much success here.

The indie album Agitation!, has taken a foothold in Aissur, seeing it rise to many billboards ratings. aissurratings.as has Agitation! has it's number one Album, already millions are downloading and donating. The Aissurian Nation Oil Company has announced it will donate 5 million USD to Agitation! The Aissurian Fund for International Aid Efforts has announced they too will donate, donating 10 million USD.

Grasse - Independent Rocker Michel de Cannes and his rumoured love interest, the Singer from Evolution Kills, were attacked last night by two armed gunmen in the city of Grasse , while on their way to a concert in Yanitaria City. Astrid, 23, and Michel, 25, where rushed to the hospital immediately afterwards, while their attackers, who's identities have not been released, were apprehended by an off duty gendarme. Astrid is suffering from a minor wound to her arm and left side, while Michel is recovering from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and neck, however we are told that he will make a full recovery, and has asked that the concert continue with out him.

The two assailants, both members of the Yanitarian Foreign Legion are suffering from minor gunshot wounds sustained during their capture, and our sources confirm that one has been paralyzed by a spinal injury, while the other is suffering massive infections from a wound to his lower intestine. Police have released the motive for the crime, which is claimed to be support for both Questarian and Scandinvan racism. Michel has responded by asking that the album Agitation! be considered commentary on racism in general, rather than soley Questarian racism.

Like Charles Koch and Peter Thiel did in the past, like a million men every day that donate to promote the cause of liberty, I must too lend a hand to lift the indignity off the backs of billions of oppressed.

Rejistania is arguable not the best place to release and album in. First of all: the nation does not exist, which maybe is the biggest hurdle. The several tiny nations which resulted from the Allanea-supported collapse of the rejistanian nation have their own laws, tax codes, regulations, officials to bribe, and copyright regulations. What these nations have in common is a large number of ethnic groups, languages and writing systems - as well as a rather lax attitude towards copyrights. This of course means most music is local or nantical and makes music from abroad even harder to market. Sometimes, however things are a bit different. Sometimes, something spreads, gets mirrored, gets spread by different means. Especially if it hits a nerve with the population. The majority of the Rejistanis is black and thus understand and sympathize with the struggle against oppression of the black very well. When the owner of one of the more (in)famous rejistani torrent sites featured this album, many people torrented, converted and/or shared it. Since the rejistani ISPs are not allowed to offer certain services due to antitrust concerns and since dialup is still a very common way to get online, the most common way of sharing were not torrents but disks and LANs. This makes is of course incredibly hard to talk about the amount of people who received or listened to it with anything somehow reminding of certainty. Which is another reason why the rejistanian islands is a bad place to market music to. If the question of actual numbers is asked, it would require me to leave the position of unreliable and somewhat cynic narrator and use higher magic. The last time I tried that, well, we will not get into that! What can be clearly deducted since it was published is that more than 10,000,000 lil'kansu of KaMaRi were paid in royalties to the artists from different rejistani radio stations. The Na~ovi National suspected that the album was shared 42 million times. The recession-shaken Rejistanis also donated about 221,500,000 lil'kansu of KaMaRi.

The album became mildly popular in the Torrentz sites of the Confederacy, with a sizeable quantity of downloads, at 75 millions. However, a superficial analysis can serve to accuse Third Spanish States of racism as greater hits like "The ballad of a Nigra" or the "I Will for failure of a ****** Smith" are filled with expressions commonly associated with racism and considered "politically incorrect". In fact, they are usually only parodies, and in many times as ways to push free marketing. Specially things like "Jews did blow up the Projects", " or "Adolf Muhammad" tend to call lots of attention because there are less black people with money to complain about the former than there are rich bankers which over-represent a certain ethnicity to complain about the one before the latter.

But that is only the beginning of what a place like Third Spanish States can churn out, "Furfagas chamber", "Gays TFO", "Unlike The Man, we hate Retards", "The blind sees the handicap hands" and all sorts of bigoted-sounding, pun-filled and cynical musics flood distribution channels. But one should remember two factors: the major value the people of the Confederacy give to unrestricted freedom of speech to the point one can easily find something like a "Mein Kampf" in a bookstore located in an island dominated by anarchist thoughts. The second factor is the total disrespect and despise they have for the concept of "Political Correctness", claiming it is a mere adaptation of totalitarian bull and an assault against freedom of speech, and their primary reaction is what could be considered the counter-culture of political correctness. Sites or TV shows that could easily fall as racist, "anti-semitic", bigoted, disrespectful and downright disgusting are very easily found, although most of them are intended to insult those who want everyone to call those with a darker skin color as "Afro-Americans" for example, or for the pure and simple trolling "for the LULZ", rather than authentic manifestos of white power. Regarding slavery, the fact that domains like www.buynegroids.com were registered by Third Spanish States users and redirect to a shock site with the pictures of slavers mutilated, lynched and killed by psychotically angry and revolted mobs is by itself enough to explain how they feel about the subject. In fact, they would really not care about diplomacy if a foreign slaver came through the Confederacy, and there would be no police to stop them from making justice with their own hands. The fortunately lawyer-less "people's justice" of Third Spanish States is a subject for another time, and even though human rights delusional "liberal" pseudo-leftist pinko hippies who think that those who deny the freedom of others should have rights question it, there is no doubt to its effectiveness as the slaver gangs that arose from 2038 crime outbreak are now only history, and slavers always avoid Third Spanish States and its territorial seas.

Grasse - In a move that some Yanitarian commentators are calling foul on, King of Questers, Alex Beaufort II sent a hand written letter to a hospitalized Michel de Cannes. A member of the Freedom Through Music foundation who could read english was brought in to translate the short, hand written note for Michel and his girlfriend, Astrid. He later, from memory, wrote down the letter and read it aloud for a group of reporters who had been tipped off by a contact in the postal service.

The letter reads thusly:

Dear Sir,

I was pleased to receive your invitation to your 'rock' concert (although the concept of throwing rocks around a theatre is new to me), but a pressing issue was brought to my attention by the head of my security detail: will there be any ******s present? If so, does your city have a large enough supply of cages? It would be most unfortunate for the poor animals at the City Zoo to be robbed of their homes.

The letter was later produced for photos, and the version given at the press conference is confirmed to be, with the exception of a word or two, entirely verbatim. Michel reportedly refused to hear the letter again for it's offensiveness, however, in a bout of anger with the Questarian monarch, Astrid reportedly fired back with her own letter.

Following the media release of the edited picture from the famous "Two Fingers" speech, youths around Yanitaria wishing to protest Questarian racism have produced buttons bearing the image. Furthermore, the Freedom Through Music foundation has officially requested an apology from Mister Beaufort, and have announced their intention to launch a massive street campaign in questers, passing out albums in the streets and setting up radios for lower class africans to listen to the CD. While this plan may be entirely speculative, one might ask how they would pay for such a huge undertaking.

However, the President of the United States of Allanea and General-Secretary of the Confederacy of Sovereign States, monsieur Alexander Kirillovich Kazansky, has surprised many by not only matching the amount of money donated to the foundation, but more than doubling it! At approximately 15:06 on the 20th, the Commerce Bank of Southern Yanitaria received a check to the order of 25 billion universal standard dollars, the largest ever transaction between an Allanean and Yanitarian party. It is certain that this money will go a long way towards supporting any future efforts towards racial equality. To show their gratitude, the headquarters for the organization, based in the capitol of Yanitaria City, will be named upon completion the Alexander Kirillovich Kazansky Center for Racial Equality and Liberties.

Yanitarian Album Rocks the Charts
Music lovers the nation over have tuned into the Yanitarian album Agitation!.

The group Kasraval Tbikal, little know before now, has become famous nation wide for their translation of Agitation! from French to Arkik and English.

Cooperation and understanding has become a major social fixture in Echoese society. The lack of racial equality in a state that is so respected by the government has people questioning if it is really right to respect Questers as much as the government does.

Not to long ago, in an issue relating to ACTO, a minuscule anti-communist organization, the Federal Government said in a letter supporting Questarian defense of the legitimacy of the groups that Questers was a sort of "role-model" for the Echo Islands.

Such a idea is now being questioned as awareness is brought to light by the Yanitarian collaboration of artists, most notably Michel de Cannes, has now led to questioning of what sort of a "role-model" Questers really is for the Echo Islands.

Recent times have seen a massive diversification of the populations of the Echo Islands, but in an Echo Islander perspective, the populations have always been diverse, with each island's ethnic groups varying slightly. So cooperation has not been a hard thing for Echo Islanders. Combine this with political concern that has become a hallmark of Echo Islander culture, and you have a mix of concerned people with an idealistic mentality.

Hence, the album has seen 500 million downloads in the Echo Islands (that is counting all three languages, French, English, and Arkik, the largest) along with nearly 150 million USD in donations.

The government has made it a point to be mum on this subject. Prospective naval purchases from Questers, and a mixture of fear and respect of the giant nation have caused Echo Islander politicians not to jump on anyone so fast.
