Shroud of Darkness(Star Wars RP) Signup/OOC

This is the "official" signup for Shroud of Darkness, it is character based, and here is the original signup/plot forming thread:
http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=561662
here is the basic plot at the moment:
more or less...
Grievious is not killed by Obi-Wan, so the Council does not assemble the four masters to confront Palpy, Anakin however was still basically told by Palpy that he is the Sith Lord, and thus Anakin reports this to Windu, the difference in time and place of certain Jedi permits their survival in some why or another. while the encounter with Windu(or possibly other Jedi with the Alt-History), Sidious, and Anakin plays out similar, but later, thus allowing the Purge to still happen, yet with different results. after which the surviving Jedi start going into hiding or forming up elsewhere, while the Empire begins squishing people, and the rebellion begins to form sooner then it did in canon...(also, depending on how the later parts of RotS are played out, Vader may not be all Black Machine man either)
While RotS ended in 19BBY, the RP is set in 15BBY, and so, when you select a character, remember to fill in what they did between these periods when the RP starts, particularly Jedi, specially the ones that are supposed to die...
there are a few reserved characters already and i'll list them here, and future claims as well. sorry if haven't got your name listed, i don't know most of your names by heart...also note that I am going off memory atm, as i haven't been on in a while, so there may be some claims i forgot...in which case the reserver will get the claim if someone else makes a claim on that character
Aayla Secura(Nebarri_Prime)
Quinlan Vos(Cylar)
Grievious(Lynion)
Kit Fisto(Kostemetsia)
Mace Windu(Varnia Prime)
Koffi Arana(East Laos)
Saesee Tiin(Kewen)
Aurra Sing(Nohcra)
Plo Koon(Falkasia)
Unnamed Jedi Padawan(The Romulan Republic)
"The Metal Man"(Marionetonia)
I'll play as General Grievious and I'm also going to supply a Jedi Master going into hiding named Jedi Master Ranakin. Ranakin will be similiar to Mace Windu but he's a decendent of the werewolf race, has a green and blue light saber and is a master of the Force. If it's ok with you.

As per previous request, I'd like to insert a character of my own making, The Metal Man, into this thread. I'd like to have an incidental post with a Jedi Master named Farlon, and his apprentice, Dagrond. These will not survive The Purge.

Something about the Metal Man bothers me, but i trust you to do a good job with him, so I'll let you have him...

more information on this "Ranakin" please, and explain why if he is a "master" of the Force, why he is thus far unknown
as per a screening on custom characters, namely Jedi that are "apparently powerful, but up until now entirely unknown" - most characters won't be accepted at levels of power rivaling canon Council Members, with nothing to show for it...
After Obi-Wan failed to kill Grievious, the Jedi Order dispatch Jedi Master Ranakin on a secert mission to track down the General. I'll change Ranakin status from Master to Knight. When he was sent out, he was to be made Jedi Knight if he killed the general. However, as he was tracking down the general, he lost all communications with the Republic. After hearing a confusing order from the Jedi Temple twice, he decides to finish off the general. When the two meet and after a tense lightsabre fight, Ranakin accuses Gerivious for the destruction of the Order. He responds with hate stating he's being on the far outer-rim planet since the Fall of the Jedi. When they finish the fight, Ranakin argee's to side with the General in order to stay alive. Ranakin is the representive to the Rebellion to avoid any conflict with the General.
Any more questions?

I understand completely. The Metal Man was developed with an "anti-esper" capability to keep Jedi Wizards from godmodding too much. If misused, it can cause him to improperly dominate play--lead to godmodding on MY part. That's why he suffers all kinds of mechanical failures and such, and why the higher-level Force users (that's pronounced "player characters") can overcome his anti-esper trait. He routinely gets the living daylights beaten out of him and has to bounce back. Other characters end up pulling him out of the fire because, underneath that mechanical armor of his, he's really very, very wimpy.

If not, I choose Plo Koon.

I wish to play an original character as well. I'm a Padawan who was stranded for 6 months during the war on a backwater world. During this time, I came to see the Order as corrupt, due to its use of Clone soldiers and child combatants (younger padawans). I abandoned the Order shortly after my rescue, and thus survived Order 66 when it occured. Now I'm reluctantly reuniting with the Order to help bring down Palpatine.
If this is acceptable, I will post as this character. And a note on abilities: my original character is rather good at the more subtle uses of the Force, like precogntion, mind trick, etc., but poor at telekinetic feats, and lacks raw power. This should keep my creation from being too overpowered.

Unless Grievious is seriously diminished in his lightsaber combat Skills, or i am misinterpreting "a tense lightsaber fight", you are suggesting your character here has skills with a lightsaber matching or surpassing members of the Jedi Council, seeing as Grievious killed Adi Gallia, defeated Shaak Ti(twice), nearly killed Ki-Adi-Mundi along with seven other Jedi, and managed to survive a duel with Mace Windu and Kit Fisto...Obi-Wan was selected to go after Grievious because of his skill in the most defensive of lightsaber forms(which was also a factor in why Obi-Wan was not simply overpowered by Anakin/Vader on Mustafar) effectively allowing Kenobi to fight 1v1, and using his natural skill managed to find weaknesses in Grievious's attacks(which were also sloppy because of overconfidence and an injury suffered in his battle with Windu) and cut off two of his arms before the Clones finally arrived, interrupting the battle

I used tense too much. I'll change it too: Hopless lightsabra fight which ended with a draw after Ranakin was thrown aside. I'll give it more detail when the post comes on the IC thread.

As long as my regular MT nation isn't affected, I'd like to join this RP. I will RP as three of my own charactors. They are brothers, and travel the galaxy as bounty hunters and mercinaries-for-hire. Created as part of an experiment on Kamino, they ended up leaving and spent most of the Clone Wars working for groups like Black Sun and the Hutts. Demon (http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h52/nx9100/Demon.jpg) is the leader of the trio, and specializes in stealth assults. He is also the main pilot of their ship (details on that later). Blaze (http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h52/nx9100/Blaze.jpg) in a demolitions expert, and a decent mechanic. Flash (http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h52/nx9100/Flash.jpg) is the weapons expert, and the main gunner. Together, they make an effective commando team. We could have them hired by Grievious or Palpy to hunt down Jedi, but then later side with the Rebellion.

Not yet, I may put one up tomorrow(or rather later today, for me) though, yay for days off work, but still not certain.
Ranakin also seems acceptable now.
thank you Nebarri Prime. Does Yoda and Obi-Wan still go into exile?

thank you Nebarri Prime. Does Yoda and Obi-Wan still go into exile?
Anything not specified as changed shall be assumed the same until proven otherwise
IE: Vader will be assumed to be "the man in black" until someone claims Vader and specifies otherwise. Kenobi will be assumed in hiding until someone takes control of Kenobi and has him do otherwise.

On a different note, I'll for sure make an IC thread today at some point.

Based on their descriptions i suppose i can let you use them, sorry i didn't see that before(I either somehow missed it several times, or the post wasn't showing up for some reason, these forums do things like that)

DS: It was indeed enjoyable to read, as for the OOC part, I can't speak for the person who claimed Mace Windu, but I do question the value of Form VII to someone who lacks force powers...though based on what i know of TMM forms III, IV, and VII would probably be out of the question, while forms II and V might be easier to use to some extent, Form I would be rather easy, and Form VI is not much of a use when you can't use half the others >_>
IIRC, Windu being the cloest thing to a master of VII would or was at some point a master of VI(from what i remember about VII), so he could teach TMM basically any form

Disclaimer: Dastardly Stench and Marionetonia are "owned" by the same person, yadda yadda yadda...
TMM doesn't need to know these forms in order to practice them, he needs to know them in order to teach them--or, at least, to get his students started on the path so that the force users among them can maintain the technique. It is thus with the Silver Sword. Without the Force to guide him, TMM is second-rate at best in executing the technique...but he may have some students who are far better at it than he is.
It is the mark of a good teacher that his or her students can eventually become better at the curriculum than he or she is--and, though I write much of TMM's exploits as a warrior, it is as a teacher that he does his best and longest-lasting work.
