Attack on Malibu for demonstration purposes.

This is a closed to other players. I am running his a demonstration of how to conduct a Naval bombardment / Amphibious Landing with Modern tech wars.

Some Facts in Evidence and openly known;
1 ( Nation 1 ) Has declared war openly. It’s no surprise that these ships are coming.
And is some sort of Democratic government with popular support for this action.

2 We’ll say that ( Nation 1 ) has a population of 30+ million people.
And ( Nation 2) has a population of about 10+ million people.

3 ( Nation 1 ) Is at a distance from ( Nation 2 ) that it takes atleast 10 days of travel by ships to reach the shores of ( Nation 2 ).

4 ( Nation 1 ) is a slightly warm nation like Lower Mediterranean France, and
( Nation 2) is more like Southern California Climate.

5 Both nations are roughly equal in terms of Western style living standards and have military assets similar to European Nations. ( Nation 2 ) is a defensive military, To be detailed later. ( Nation 1) has limited offensive abilities as described below.

Here’s how it starts;

For reason’s which are not going to be detailed The country of ( Nation 1 ) has declared war on ( Nation 2 ).
For the purposes of this exercise We will make it a fact that ( Nation 1) is completely justified for this action, and there is no issue or question from the II community.
Starting out at 300 miles South West of Malibu, ( population; 13,000 aprox )
A fleet of Carrier Task force ships move into position. They have several subs in the task force. The line spreads out to stop all traffic from entering or leaving the area.

Islands;
Santa Rosa, is Supposed to be Uninhabited, 34miles from strike group

Santa Cruz is privately owned but supposed to be uninhabited due to enemy forces approaching. 55 miles from Strike group

Santa Barbara 80miles from Strike group, 40 miles from Malibu and 20 miles from strike path.

San Nick Is supposed to have a small population of people. But should have been evacuated. 49 miles from strike group

Catalina island Is a Large park with a small number of people who live there, they should have been evacuated. 104 miles from strike group, but only 40 miles from strike path.

Two Harriers are launched from the Carrier to fly recon over the islands and Ocean to check for enemy movement. Each one is carrying;
1 Countermeasure pod ( flares and Chaff Decoys )
1 25mm Auto cannon pod ( 300 rounds )
2 AIM-9M Sidewinder missiles ( Heat seeking )
4 AGM-65 F/G Maverick ( guided bombs )

The Anti-sub helicopters will take off, and 1 Air borne Early Warning Helicopter.
The ASW choppers will take stations about 5 miles out side the Ships in a circle.
The Carriers are 5 miles apart with the Arleigh Burke between them. And the Destroyers
And frigates are deployed in a circle around the carriers at about 5 miles, with the subs are circling 2 miles beyond the Picket ships, and are 10 miles apart.

Following these are the landing ships,
Take a Cruise ship, any cruise ship you like.
Find out how many people you can fill it with normally, then double that and put X
( being twice the civilian number ) of troops on board. Keep in mind that you will want to have at least Some defenses on board. But that’s some of your Cargo room.
I’m going to take 5,000 troops USA / UK quality troops
1 HMS Liverpool
2 HMS Chelsea

Now you need a way to get them there.
Place a Large “helipad” Over all of the pools and such so that you have about three or four helipads on each boat. ( 20 V-22 Osprey assault planes total )
And you need some landing boats, Cost: Estimate $ 400,000 Each
10 Landing boats which can carry 100 men per boat per trip ( these are about 100ft long) and have a speed of 12mph !

And some Hover craft,
6 LCAC-1 Cost: $ 45 million USD Each
With a speed of 46mph and carries 60 tons

You will need close support for your landing boats,
30 PC-1 Cyclone Fast attack boats Cost: Estimate $ 50 Million USD Each
