The Group of Developing and Off the Grid Nations GOD/OFGN is an alliance dedicated to protecting and aiding nations that are developing or otherwise "off-the-grid" of modern technology. Leaving poorer nations at the mercy of rich and powerful super nations is usually an invitation to trouble. The power complex created is usually the super class division and gives the ability to wield and manipulate the peoples. But when fellow developing countries support developing countries the complex is reduced. That is why the United Island States of AHSCA is purposing this new alliance for countries that are in the "third world" or mostly unmodernized.

The Purpose:

To Support and defend countries that seldom have the means to defend themselves, alone. Including in times of War, Natural or Man Made Disaster.

To support mild economic stability and prevent corruption in Governments as a result of the rich-poor-divides.

To prevent the exploitation by out sourcing corporations seeking unlawful cheap labor on the border line of flat out slavery.

To ensure that any foreign industry is held accountable for the well being of the nation it practices its business in

To defend low-in-come nations from being subjected to a single protectorate and from foreign insurgents

To keep the nation as it desires or otherwise progress it through

To unite all low income or off-the-grid nations

And to serve any purpose not stated above

Membership Eligibility:

Nations can chose to be Permanent Members, Fluid Members, or Observer Members. Perm Members receive all Economic/Civil/Military Aid as requested and will be able to vote on resolutions.

Fluid Members are interested in currently boosting their economic/industrial status and seek aid from others including this alliance. When this is achieved they may resign or move to Observer Status.

Observer Members are nations that feel the spirit and purpose of the alliance but are ranked in the developed/industrialized world. They may yield economic support or petition for certain resolutions. They may NOT however, vote on resolutions, petition for a Veto, or authorize any actions of economic, civil, or military.

For those that Wish to Be Full Members:

To join the alliance, a nations economic status must rank from Fair-Imploded. If your Economic Status is above this you can petition to be an Observer Member.

Rules and Regulations:

Their economic growth must be in a current downward state or otherwise impeded by some internal or external circumstances. Or the nation should be in a relatively underdeveloped state in terms of modern applications (such as electricity) both are acceptable means to enter the group.

Must have a stable and working Government relatively free of corruption.

The Leading Government's wealth must not exceed the general wealth of the population by more than 15%

All political ideologies accepted

Economic downturn of due to extreme and excessive warring may not qualify your nation.

A nation may remain with the group or work to improve their economic status. If economic status has been greatly improved above GOOD or relatively stabilized you will be released from the Alliance OR you may stay on as an Observer State.

No State may attack any other member without just cause. Grevinces between states should be aired before the Group.



To Become a Observer State:

Your Economic Status can Rank from Good-Frighting

You are required to render at least one form of aid as requested by the council. This will usually be some sort of humanitarian aid in times of war or disaster.

You must not have a corporation of questionable practice operating in any Member State.

You must not have waged war on a member state within the past decade*
