Strange Aircraft Shot-down Ursava (Restricted
OOC: Please ask before posting anything of units moving in to my country unless you have an embassy in Ursava. Otherwise either through OOC or through an IC telegram, please ask for permission before just sending search teams in please.
The F-35B Lightning II pilot looked around his cockpit and then over at his wing-man as they flew above the always snow-capped northern mountains of Ursava. They were on a standard air patrol given the fact that they were small, strongly anti-communist, and wanted to be prepared to fight any pro-communist countries that tried to turn them in to a satellite like they had once been. The pilot was so close he could see his wing-man clearly through the canopy as they both started to fly through a cloud.
Then as they came out of the cloud one could hear the wing-man.
“What the hell is that?” The wing-man asked, puzzled and somewhat surprised.
The pilot looked ahead to find a strange black shape in the distance that seemed to be just hovering above the mountainous northern landscape of Ursava.
“I don’t know.” The pilot responded, moving a thumb to the button that would fire his missiles.
“Shit; incoming!” The wing-man yelled.
A smoky trail like that of a missile came from the object and the cockpit and nose of the wing-man’s plane exploded in a cloud of fire and smoke with static filling the pilot’s radio. The pilot managed to hit the button and launch a medium-range missile. It was obviously a hit because the vessel had smoke and what might have been fire emerging from it as it began to lower at a drastic rate. However, another smoke-trail emerged and the screen turned black.
President Zigana Saáry looked at the video displayed on the laptop screen in front of her in silence. A military aid stood at attention in front of her in the white Ursavian air-force dress uniform. He looked straight ahead, above Zigana’s head at the three large windows and the massive oak trees just beyond them past which ‘Ursavian Heroes’ Grave Site’ rested, fenced off from the world and where hundreds of rebels and government officials who helped said rebels lay six feet underground.
Zigana closed the laptop and held it up to the military aid.
“Thank you for showing me that airman, do not worry.” Zigana said as politely as she could.
The airman reached out with a white-gloved hand and took the white-gloved hand. He promptly salute as he tucked it under his other arm and Zigana rose, returning the gesture. The airman then proceeded to walk out of the presidential office.
“Aliz.” She said to Vice President and former Ursavian Head Lieutenant Aliz Gyarmati.
“Yes ma’am?” The barrel-chested, former Spetznas soldier asked from beside her desk.
“Can you have the secretary get me some coffee and a blank stationary?” Zigana asked.
“Can do ma’am.” Aliz said, walking out of the room.

A Message to all Free Nations
Approximately three hours ago two of our best aircraft came under attack by a strange force.
We suffered the loss of two fighters but managed to make the strange attacker crash.
Whether the pilot(s) of the strange craft is(/are) still alive is questionable and we can say that both of our pilots our positively I.D as dead given the evidence of one pilot’s helmet camera. We request aid to any countries willing to bare with the cold northern Ursavian mountains in order to help us find this strange craft. Any and all who not only physically send search groups but also actually find the craft will be able to share any advanced technology found in the craft that was not already known as possible or built.
We wish for this aid because we do not want something so strange and so potentially devastating able to fly freely and unknown about in our airspace. We wish to know if this is a sovereign state’s action or the act of a new and advanced rebel group. Please do not panic our people by making public announcements of how you believe it is aliens for the chances of such things existing and attacking human beings for absolutely no reason is neigh impossible.

SUBJECT: Mystery aircraft
President Saáry,
In response to the apparent difficulties with security in your airspace, it has been determined that a team of researchers shall be dispatched to Ursava if you allow it. Also, in order to insure that there is no longer a danger to your airspace, it has been authorized that several fighter planes may be sent to help. If you want this extra firepower, you will need to contact General Jack Campbell, the current head of the Aglorean Air Force. He has full authorization. Our team should be able to adjust to the cold weather, but it may take a short time, so bear with them at first.

At this time the Government of Salzland officially maintains no interest in recovering any potential technologies, however we do wish to offer to deploy forces to aid our ally, Ursava, in securing their airspace. Should this assistance be accepted, an ORBAT will be transmitted.
OOC: Just a few fighter squadrons and some SAM sites for now, basically. I'm starting to spread a little thin. And I'm not going for the crashed fighter because I'm too lazy to write a search and recover.
To: All the nations who have responded.
From: President Zigana Saáry.
All aid; whether it is militaristic, research-based, or simply sent supplies will be appriciated. We advise you send heavy winter gear as it is quickly approaching and makes the northern Ursavian landscape almost unbearable unless you wear the most advanced winter equipment. Thank you all for you responses and willingness to aid.

*Crunch*
A Solenian Mi-24 landed on the cold, deep snow of the Northern Mountains.
"Right Men." A Sturdy, almost-featureless man started "We're to search for the wreckage of this mysterious aircraft. We are told that if at any time we come under fire we open fire, have you got that!?"
"Yes Sir!" a collection of similar figures replied in militaristic fashion.
The chosen men for this job were the 2nd Platoon, Orange Company, 3rd Batallion of the 1st Provisional Brigade, 34 in total. Each armed with a HK Mark 23 and Thompson M1A1, clothed full with Berghaus custom made suits Thinsulate hats, Timberland boots and a Body Armour to be found somewhere underneath the layers.
"Let's go!"
The platoon headed off into the grey unknown.
Fourty men, dressed in standard Aglorean military uniforms, stepped off of the large cargo plane, bags in hand. Each man had with him enough supplies to last a full week, and there was more on the plane. Most of them had never been to Ursava, and found it to be suprisingly cold. Fortunately, they also had clothing to keep them warm (or at least a little less cold). This was the armed scientific research team, but they looked more like a standard military force.
The men had been told to first travel to the Aglorean Embassy, which they proceeded to do. After a last minute briefing, pictures with the Ambassador, and a quick meal, they left to meet up with a small Ursavaian group and recieve more information.
Snow was whipping about as members of the newly formed 'White Guard' checked their weapons and other equipment. They had been formed as of two days ago and were the only members of the Special Forces group of the name. Most were ex-'White Shield' members but a few were regular military. They were waiting for an Aglorean group who they would give any fine details to and then both groups would load on to some of the Hind-Ds set up in the quickly constructed runway and two buildings which made their northern 'airport' where nothing but hangers, the aircraft, and the two building showed any sign of population.
The men soon arrived, and most were very uncomfortable due to the cold. They all found it strange that the 'White Guard' seemed not to be bothered. The highest ranking officer of the Aglorean group moved towards the Ursavaian leader, extended a hand, and muttered, "I'm Captain Black. When do we set off?"
"Nice to meet you Captain Black, I am Captain Morics Kadotha." The rather short, muscular man said; accepting the hand.
"We set off as soon as you are ready." Captain Kadotha added.
He looked back to the men and called out in Russian.
"Oy, suit up so these sun-lovers can get this done with." He called, recieving two stifled chuckles from his men before promptly turning back to the man and waiting to see how he would respond.
Black frowned. He didn't speak Russian, but based on the response from Kadotha's men, he shouldn't take it as a compliment. "Well, my men are ready. Exactly how far is it, Captain?"
As Black asked how far it was a second soldier with a large radio on his back approached and handed a good-sized map of northern Ursava and a little of the territory beyond their borders. He handed it over to Kadotha who nodded his thanks before the man walked off.
"Well we're not sure exactly but based on what we saw in the pilot's helmet camera we picked up he probably shot the craft down somewhere in the Tétény mountain range. That's about a forty-five by sixteen mile area so it's going to be alot of searching but we've set up several camps in each section where we can stop to rest and resupply on anything we may use on our way to them." Kadotha said, circling the northward mountain range that was circled in blue with red dots here-and-there inside the circle.
"By the way, would you like to see the pilot's video Captain?" Kadotha asked, handing the map back to the radio operator as he approached.

As you are well aware President Saáry our Embassy in Ursava forwarded your request for assistance to me, and at this time I am pleased to tell you that we will be able to send a Security detachment to aid in the Recovery Effort's. They were dispatched four days ago aboard a Biodyne vessel to your nation, they will consist of a standard Biodyne research and rescue team and Company transport. I trust that all is well in Ursava, and hope that this will constitute the first of many joint undertakings between our nations.

The sleek company vessel had halted at the edge of international waters, it's massive length riding low as the strange aircraft at the rear of the vessel on it's helipad span up it's rotor's. A group of men and women in Biodyne uniforms stood in the barracks below decks as they were told of the conditions in which they would be landing. For this mission they were issued standard Biodyne uniforms and body armour, with additional Biodyne extreme weather gear. Thick white coveralls were pulled on over the top of their standard dress uniform thin wires spider webbed throughout the clothing to thin heat pads that lined the interior of the suit's. As they fastened the waistband around the suit they double checked battery unit's located at their right hip to ensure they were at full power before pulling on black balaclavas and fastening their masks and helmets. Each one of them had already fastened on the thick outer boots that fit snugly over the standard issue footwear, and as they filed past the Armoury they each took a large white pack and slipped it on over their shoulders. This was filled with everything they could possibly need including Ice axes and ropes, tent's and gas cookers, as well as spare ammunition and a few flares. The officers took up the Biodyne industries 'Blue Spear' 7.62mm scoped assault rifle, this weapon was the same as most Biodyne designs, tough and rugged and designed for extreme environments, alongside this they took the standard Biodyne high capacity 9mm sidearm before trooping out to the helicopter where four men and women were already waiting, gathered up as they were in the same Outer gear there was nothing to differentiate them, but as opposed to the gas masks and helmets that the Security personnel wore they instead were happy with snow glasses and a thick scarf around their mouths with their thick hoods pulled up over their head.
As the personnel clambered on board the bizarre transport helicopter the door was slammed closed behind them by flight personnel. The interior of the helicopter was spacious for it's size enough room for the twelve man team to fit in quite comfortably as well as have room for the support personnel for the mission ahead. There were no windows onboard this aircraft and so the people onboard had to rely on the pilot to get them where they were going in one piece. The interior was currently lit up a dark red as they stowed away gear and strapped themselves in for the flight ahead. The exterior of the craft was long and lean and resembled a Dragonfly, the six landing struts deployed beneath it like legs as the craft reached back to the main 'Hump' where two vertical wing's reached out to either side of the craft and ended with two horizontal rotor's that were already spinning rapidly. The front of the vessel had two bulbous cockpits set into the design itself so as to minimise the chance that the pilot and navigator would be incapacitated in the same instance. Slung under the chin of the aircraft was a pair of dual mounted 30mm 6 barreled chain guns on a 360 degree rotation mount for protection of the gunship. As the final orders came in the gunship slowly pulled itself away from the deck and moved with great speed towards Ursava.
"No, I haven't seen it," Black replied. "I've heard about it, though. Sounds like just another plane to me..." In the back of his mind, Black hoped it was more than just a plane. He didn't believe in aliens, of course, but some form of advanced technology would be great. He always loved science, which was what got him into the military. Eventually it was pushed back into a hobby as real military life got in the way.
"Yes, 'just another plane' that was able to hover in place and effortlessly take out two of our pilots." Captain Kadotha said with sarcasm and a hint of sadness.
"Anyways, now we load up in the planes and head to the first station where we are to meet up with the other groups and begin the full search while the Salzland forces set up their anti-air net for us." Kadotha said, thumbing to the large mass of awaiting Hind-Ds that his men were filing on to.

All things being equal, the situation in Ursava was less than ideal. An unknown number of unknown aircraft with unknown capabilities were operating in the area, carrying out an unknown mission. In fact, only two things about these mysterious aircraft were known: One, that the newcomers were decidedly hostile. And two, that they were just as vulnerable to Allied weapons as anyone else.
So the Government of Salzland had done the only thing it could do once an ally had been attacked: Respond, in force. Two wings of fighters maintained a round-the-clock Combat Air Patrol over the nation, while at the same time two battalions of top-of-the-line Surface to Air Missile launchers were being deployed to protect the major Ursavan population centers. Additional Air assistance was preparing to deploy should the situation require, in order to protect the sovereignty of Ursava's airspace.
The next time the hostiles showed up, they would be confronting a top of the line air defense grid fully prepared to greet them the proper way. With a swarm of missiles.
"Right. Move out!" Black signaled his men to load up, and soon they were in the air.
The Hind-Ds approached the mountain-range, though still on the horizen. The interior had a basic heater but it did little to nothing to prevent the cold from being well known. Captain Kadotha looked across at Captain Black and then looked at the Algorean soldiers. Several of them seemed to be extremely bothered by the cold while the members of the 'White Guard' maintained stony faces and looking down at their own winter-gear boots.
The Gunships huge rotors gave deep booming thuds as they beat against the wind, onboard the aircraft the ride was smooth considering the conditions. They had crossed Ursavan airspace almost twenty minutes before hand and were well on their way to the first station, the radar had pinged as the Ursavan helicopters had come in range and the Pilot of the Gunship had noted the location and time they had first appeared. As the dual rotor Gunship lifted itself higher the strange mechanical bug like design seemed almost to float through the air, dancing slightly as it propelled itself towards the first station. In the rear of the craft the research and rescue team had their eyes glued to a large flat screen monitor mounted on the wall opposite the rear gangway and the suspended transport vehicle that had been securely stowed away before they had left their nation, on screen a man in a smart suit and tie with a hard face was explaining the mission. "...and that is the extent of current intelligence on the situation. As always you are to follow Company protocol in this matter, you are to work with the Ursavans on this and to share all intelligence with them, but you are NOT to allow any technology or intelligence to slip through your hands. You have been granted Engagement Beta clearance, as a result of this as long as you are not compromised, or otherwise in danger of being unable to complete your mission you are NOT to engage friendly forces. If however you are prevented in the execution of your duties, you are authorised to neutralise any threat to you or the Ursavans who will be joining you on this mission. Mission objectives are as follows: 1. Assessment of enemy craft and recovery of vital technologies or information. 2. Prevention of any and all forces attempting to recover any part of the craft without your prior knowledge. 3. Assessment of likely future incursions by hostiles into Ursavan airspace."
The Gunship swooped low and drew level with the Hind D's as they came within range, easily keeping up with them as they flew side by side. So far the Gunship had made only one stop as it entered Ursava, and that was at the airport to pick up the mission commander for this mission. Chief Security Officer Baynam, on special detachment from the Biodyne Embassy. In the transport area of the Gunship the troops and support personnel rechecked weapons and supplies for the mission ahead, as Baynam settled back into his seat, his mask hanging off for the moment and his helmet fastened to his head as he swept his eyes over the group before him and smiled grimly as he thought of the mission ahead.

ANTIGRAN DIPLOMATIC TRANSMISSION
The United Royal Kingdom of Antigr
To: Whom it may concern
From: King Hallen-Ottestad; Royal Antigran Ministry of Defence
Sir or Madam,
It has come to my attention that an unidentified aerial vehicle, possibly more than one, was sighted and shot down over your territory. Our request to intervene and provide assistance being granted, we wish for you to know that we have dispatched a company, one hundred and twenty men plus vehicles and equipment, to the scene. These men are Mountain Infantry, and like most Antigrans, profess in snowy and arctic climates as well as mountainous regions. They hope to link up with the multinational force gathering and provide a ground support contingent. For further information please reply to this communique. Thank you.
__________
The transport planes, in winter colours and adorned with Antigran insignia, were in Ursavan airspace by now. The Ursarvans were aware of their presence, as were the Antigrans of them, as they descended to their designated airfield. The six planes and the men and equipment within them felt the bumps as the planes touched down and began to taxi away towards the private apron. They expected there'd be someone to meet them, as they were fairly close to the crash site, and the area showed distinct signs of military activity.
The men, of the rapid-reaction contingent of the Mountain Infantry corps, were used to the cold and the terrain. It reminded them of Antigr. A lot of their vehicles were oversnow all-terrain vehicles, similar to an upgraded Bv206, and several of the MIFVs had been further subsituted for them. They had ATGMs, LAWs, a few anti-material rifles and little else for armour-piercing capability, relying on the airborne parts of the multi-national force for heavier firepower. While most of the other countries had helicopters, these men were to form the ground part, which would inevitably lend them a front-line role. Communiques had been sent to all participating nations to advise them of the Antigran's presence, and had asked them to send a representative to meet up before they set off, so as to coordinate their efforts closely.
An extremely large, barrel-chested man approached the Antigerians as they touched down a nd taxied in to a pre-reserved spot for their transport craft. The man was Gyurka Ferenci; former bomber pilot from the days of Odon Pete and now one of two five-star generals of the Ursavian Northern Defence System, MDS for short. He walked up in a tight lock-step in full combat gear which made him look more like a regular soldier then one of the most powerful men of the army (though there were people of more power). In fact the only way one could tell that he wasn't like hundreds of other soldiers was the fact that he had five stars pinned to one side of his helmet.
"Good evening, where's your commander?" The man asked, looking at the off-loading Antigerians.
[OOC: Spelt 'Antigrans']
IC:
Major Martensson, the usual commander of the Battalion, was assigned to take charge of the company on this mission. Assault Rifle slung on his back, he stepped down from the second plane in line and saluted sharply, regonising the five stars. His russian was fairly good but breaking in places, Antigrans being brought up on English after Antigran, and after waiting for the din of an oversnow vehicle to die down, he spoke.
"I'm the commander, sir. Major Martensson, 2nd Mountain Infantry Division"
OOC: Ursavians speak Russian, not English. They are a fictional former Soviet-bloc country that was heavily influenced by Russia after all. Also, thank you for the spelling tip.
Gyurka returned the salute to the Antigran commander.
"It's very good to meet you Major. What exactely is your full detachment?" Gyurka asked, motioning towards the men.
Behind him, a small group of Ursavian Mountain Rangers went jogging by in two lines of six towards an awaiting Hind-D while several Leopard IIs drove around the once nearly empty airbase to secure the perimiter.
The Gunship had kept pace with the Hind D's until finally it had peeled away heading towards the airfield. In short order the Gunship hovered above the base before finally touching down kicking up great clouds of snow as it did so. The dark grey of it's surfaces was broken only by the Biodyne corporate flag on either side, and at the rear of the helicopter the gangway lowered slowly downwards to touch upon the ground. CSO Baynam jogged down and was followed in short order by his unit, the security officers were already unsecuring the half track transport vehicle before the rotors had fully finished spinning down. The aircraft sat low and lean against the ground, it's strange shape marking it out against the more conventional helicopters most nations used.
"We have one hundred and twenty men exactly, sir, 11 oversnow vehicles, 4 half-tracks, 3 Jeeps, and 2 Infantry Fighting Vehicles. Of those, we have some ATGMs and autocannon and little other heavy weaponry. We'll be relying on the air search parties for heavy firepower. All of our men can ski and shoot, so we'll be happy to take up a reconnaisance role"
He gestured behind him. The unit was unloading fairly fast, fuel tanks full and weapons loaded.
"Where can I find the other search teams, and where can I send any medical emergencies?"
"There's an entire wing-group of Hind-Ds on-call for any medical emergencies. If you need anything call the airbase on this signal..." The general handed a tiny slip of paper "...and give your coordinates. We'll try and arrive as soon as possible. Otherwise the Ursavians, Agloreans, and Solenial search-teams are out in the mountains already searching. There are several bases throughout the range so if you need resupply and one of them is close: head to it. Also, if you find anything you report it back to Ursavian command understood?" The general bolted it all off as if it was as quickly as he could.

Martensson walked over to a nearby Oversnow vehicle and climbed into the front section, taking a back seat next to the machine-gunner's position. A Lance-Corporal climbed in next to him and sat on the raised seat, so his head and upper torso stuck out of a hatch on top of the vehicle. He was directly behind a KGM General-Purpose Machine-Gun with gun shield, which he checked was ready and loaded. By now, most of the equipment was being unloaded, including spare rations and ammunition, which were quickly stowed.
After a further ten minutes or so, the vehicles began to line up behind the oversnow in no particular order, in a fairly tight convoy.
"Go!"
The Major yelled to the driver. The tracks began to move forward, carrying the wheels on top as the vehicle accelerated, leading the convoy behind.
