Karuchea
13-08-2008, 21:05
The Great Leader and Teacher and General Secretary of the Party of the Karuchean Revolution, Marshall Karim Ahmad sat at his desk. He made a quick call to the Premier of the State Council, Pak Han-chul. "Send the letter, get them here, the celebrations are in two days."

Letter to Thomas Millone, Leader of the Myakkan Revolution:
Dear Comrade Brother,
With the Myakkan Revolution victorious, we wish for you to come to Ahmadia, Karuchea to participate in the victory celebrations here. There will be a state military parade. Also, it will be good to talk about future developments and relations between the Myakkan Revolution and Karuchean Revolution. The celebrations are in two days, we hope that you yourself can make it, or that some state officials can if you are too busy.

Sincerely,
Premier of the State Council of the Socialist National Republic of Karuchea,
Pak Han-chul

The Revolutionary State of Myakka went through an arduous secular Reformation in which the entire nation was forced to shed its old Monarchist image and replace it with a new Communist one. Portraits of the Emperors were torn down and replaced by those of Lenin and Stalin while cities were being renamed all over the place with the capital, Marianopolis, being renamed to Leninopolis in honor of Lenin. The Cultural Revolution had finally finished its course, for now at least, with many dead and many historical artefacts destroyed in the name of Communism. Children were being taught the merits of Communism which confused many of them since they were accustomed to learning about the Empire. The change in cirriculum really made them confused but they would try their best to adapt to it. Textbooks they once read were replaced with textbooks praising Lenin, Mao and Stalin instead of old folk heroes and monarchs. This angered some parents but they were unable to effect any changes. Besides, if they did protest, who knew what could happen to them? The Revolutionary State quickly became consolidated and soon people lived under the auspieces of the Revolution's defenders as Millone and his men called themselves. The Imperial Palace, once the bastion of Monarchism, was pretty much left to Communist developers. The entire city of Leninopolis was built according to Socialist Realist lines. St. Mary's Cathedral was only kept standing and later rebuilt by the Myakkan Historical Society which successfully kept many landmarks standing throughout the Revolutionary State. The majority of people got back to their daily lives although many people were wary of living under Communist rule. Thus many people continued to leave including artists and the entire body of Myakkan celebrities who declined to adjust to Socialist Realism's newly found hegemony as the only permitted form of art around. To compensate for this loss of handsome actors and stunningly sexy actresses, the Revolutionary State got replacements for them...people who would be loyal to the Revolution. Films and songs praising the Revolution were already being made including some pornographic films about the Civil War which were just odd and weird to many people.

Thomas Millone, the leader of this Revolutionary State, recieved the invitation to attend celebrations in Karuchea. He really admired these Karucheans. They thought just like he did. He'd shown plenty of interest in Army-led Communism as he termed it although he believed that the Workers and Peasants must combine to form one spearhead against the enemies of the Revolution. As he took his leave from work to get onto his private plane along with his entourage, Thomas Millone contemplated Karuchean socialism in his mind. He was interested in it...but could not understand the Army's role. Did it imply that the Army should consume the economy? He was going to inquire about it.

"Dear Comrade,

Thomas Millone and an entourage of Myakkan Revolutionary ministers shall be attending the celebrations in Karuchea in the hopes that our two nations can be closer friends in the spirit of Revolutionary Solidarity. The leader of the Myakkan Women's Revolutionary Association, Sarah Linden, would like to meet with female Karuchean leaders to discuss relations while representatives from student agencies would be interested in discussing exchange programs between Karuchean and Myakkan students."

Reply to Myakkan Communists:
Comrades, that is great to hear. Vice-Chairman Nuriana Barre will be very glad to meet Sarah Linden and discuss affairs of Women and Socialism. We agree that exchange programs are a great idea to bring our fraternal people closer in brotherhood.

We look forward to your arrival. I will personally meet with your delegation at the Ahmadia Air Complex and from there we will move to the Palace of the Revolution.

Sincerely:
Premier of the State Council of the Socialist National Republic of Karuchea,
Pak Han-chul

The Myakkan private jet flew calmly over Karuchean airspace while its occupants simply passed the time with brief discussions and reading of literature. Thomas Millone sat next to the lovely Sarah Linden who could most likely charm any Karuchean into staring at her or down at her cleavage. It was the usual routine for a woman like her so she really did not concern herself with it. While Millone was reading silently, she combed her luscious blonde hair in preparation for the meeting and adjusted her blouse. She really wanted to look presentable. Thomas Millone, meanwhile, busied himself with the study of Karuchean inspired literature which did fascinate him although they did not make him want to convert. He felt his standard beliefs were more adequate than these respectable foreign doctrines. With every minute that passed, Thomas Millone's Revolutionary State was churning out more believers in the Revolution from the Communized schools and with every fervent believer came an ardent dissident but most dissidents simply vanished into the mass gulag system. Dissent needed to be rooted out. It was as simple as that. The jet eventually did reach its intended destination and landed gently upon the runway and, after a couple of minutes, Thomas Millone and Sarah Linden stepped out of the plane while looking for their Karuchean counterparts. Millone smiled at the lovely Sarah while she made some final adjustments to her suit. They soon saw the Karucheans in the distance....soon it will all begin.

Premier Pak Han-chul arrived in his limo, alongside the beautiful Lisa Tae-sun. Lisa was the daughter of a Karuchean man who settled from Britain and a Korean-Karuchean of relatively upper class. She had led a wildcat strike during the revolution and soon was promoted up the ranks and became head of the Karuchean Security Bureau, as such she was one of the most powerful people in the country. Lisa sat in the limo thinking about the Revolution, she was a revolutionary, but disagreed somewhat on Party lines. Karuchean Communism was based on the nation, national values and customs and even religion, whereas she was more of a devout Orthodox Marxist, who believed that much of this should be abolished in favour of world proletarian internationalism. On the other hand, Pak believed deeply in Karuchea as a country and in the Revolution, a devout Nationalist, he was likely one of the most devout followers of the Party Line who existed. That these two opposites would end up on the same trip to meet with and escort the Myakkan dignitaries was a brutal task for both of them

As the limo pulled up, both stepped out and nodded at each other. They walked to the jet and saw Thomas Millone and Sarah Linden. Lisa saw Sarah and immediately was quite impressed by her. Pak offered greetings to Thomas Millone and extended his hand for a handshake. Pak escorted them to two limos, Pak and Thomas would go in one, Sarah and Lisa in the other. They began off to the Palace of the Revolution.

Thomas Millone was quite happy to be on Karuchean soil and to shake the hand of his Karuchean counterpart while Sarah was pleased to meet Lisa Tae-Sun who looked quite professional and like one of those women who, like her, was lusted after by men and possibly some women as well. She'd been called the "girl with the big breasts" numerous times by people and she'd always attract attention. When she took part in Marxist and Feminist rallies in university, her colleagues would admire her body and keep uttering words like: "Boy, I wish she'd go out with me."

Hopefully, she thought, the Karucheans would not resort to such blatant objectification. While Millone got into the limosuine with his counterpart amidst the aura of conversation, Sarah got into a conversation with Lisa as they walked to the limosuine they were given. "It's nice to meet you, Miss Tae-Sun. I'm Sarah Linden as you know. I'm the leader of the Revolutionary Women's League and I'm a certified Marxist Feminist."

As they reached the Palace of the Revolution, Omar Bakdash met and saluted Thomas Millone. Saying "We are pleased to have you here. I wish for you to be present at the meeting of the National Assembly before the parade." He motioned for Lisa and Sarah to come over and he said "I'm sure you two (Sarah and Thomas) would like to meet our new ambassador to your country, Hassan Ibrahim." with this Hassan stepped forward glancing at Sarah and then bowing to Thomas.

As the group walked into the National Assembly meeting, Sarah and Hassan sat together, speaking quietly of ideology. Bakdash gave a rousing speech, as the crowd clapped, suddenly there was a gasp as Karim Ahmad entered the room, noticeably still ill, he went to the podium and began speaking:

"I could not possibly, even in my illness, miss the arrival of our closest Comrade and Brother-in-Arms, Thomas Millone and the Myakkan Party. Our Party in Karuchea has for 2 decades on-end promoted World Revolution and World Socialism and consistantly fought for world peace. Along the path we have seen revolutions come and go, start strong and most have sold out. In-spite of this and the set-backs to Socialism, our Party has continuously advanced on the Revolutionary road, on the road of Military Socialism. This illness may end up cutting my life short, as many of you already know, if it is so, then I rest proudly and confidently that the Revolution in Myakka is in safe hands. Together, forever, Myakka and Karuchea, side-by-side continuing Revolution until World Revolution!"

The speech received a standing ovation, as Karim Ahmad left, he shook the hand of Thomas Millone. Smiling, he noted: "With you in charge, I am at ease."

After the speech, Omar Bakdash ended the meeting and stepped forward, hangin Millone some Military Socialist literature he invited Millone and Sarah to the military parade.

OOC: sorry been on holiday, the post is set a few hours before Thomas Millone arrives in Karuchea.
IC:
Upon receiving the letter President Vladimir Burte sat bolt upright from his slouched, reading position.
"Damn international mail, so slow, telegrams are so much quicker! Han-Chul wants me to be there in 5 hours!" Burte grumbled to himself.
"Get BH-1 and her escorts ready!" Burte shouted to his aide, who was sitting quietly reading a paper in the corner.
"Yes sir, right away!" the aide ran out the door. Burte wrote a telegram in response.

To: Premier of the State Council of the Socialist National Republic of Karuchea, Pak Han-chul
From: President of the USSB, Vladimir Burte
Re: Revolutionary Celebration

I thank you for your invitation, I am also sorry for the late response. I only received the letter a short while ago.
I would love to attend, and though I will be late, by approximatly 4 hours, I shall arrive by the presidential helicopter, BH-1, with BH-10 & 11 as escort, these are armed.
My personnel will include only 2 aides, and my personal bodyguard.
I am looking forward to meeting with you and the other leaders, the future of socialism looks bright now!

To President of the USSB, Vladimir Burte
From the Chairman of the National Assembly, Lisa Taesun
Re:Re: Revolutionary Celebration

We thank you for your response and expect your arrival will be right before the parade itself. I am sure that Comrade Bakdash and the Leader are looking forward to meeting with you. We also regret to inform you that Former-Premier Pak has been arrested for counter-revolutionary aims and attempts to sabotage Party activities. Comrade Omar Bakdash is now the Premier. Also, Former-Chairman Amani Sinde was demoted from his position due to acting on his own accord, without Party instructions on international matters and displaying an arbitrary and tyrannical attitude in such affairs. We look forward to your arrival.

"Hmm, the Karucheans have ben busy!" exclaimed Burte, chuckling with his aides as he read the telegram.
They were sitting in BH-1, preparing for take off, BH-10 and BH-11 were already in the sky, ready to escort the President to Karuchea.
"Buckle your seatbelt sir!" said the pilot.
Burte's bodyguard, Ben, shut the helicopter door before sitting down, and the others fastened their seatbelts.
With a mighty roar, the 'copter sprang into action, flying into the air, and heading to Karuchea.

"This is BH-1 BH-10, and BH-11 requesting permission to land" called the pilot over the radio to an airport.
The three helicopters circled the airport until a reply was given.
President Burte was inside, watching the scenery fly by, and then come around again, and fly by once more. His youngest aide, Miles, wasn't used to flying, the circling had an adverse effect on him, He was throwing up in the corner, into a presidential sick bag.
"Haha, that's the first time the sickbags have been used!" joked his other aide, Lindy, she had been in the job since the coup. The bodyguard was sitting there trying to look stern, but kept leaking a little chuckle as he watched Miles in the corner.
"BLEUGH!! I wish they would hurry up and let us land, BLEUGGHH!!" cried Miles in between puking.

Thomas and Sarah were pleased to listen to the speech made by Karim Ahmad and they would watch the military parade with much interest (OOC: I am assuming they are at the parade) although Sarah was, at times, occupied with talking to Hassan about the merits of women's rights. She would tell him how it was essential that the crusade for women's liberation was mixed with the longterm struggle of the masses in the Communist Revolution and how she was a devout Marxist feminist who worked day and night for the wellbeing and liberation of the women of Myakka. Sarah also felt that Hassan was quite a nice-looking man and noticed that he had been giving her glances. This made him look, to her at least, like one of those typical men who admired her body and its features although he seemed to be quite calm and reserved as if her looks were not of too much importance. It made her happy that he wasn't trying anything funny around her so that they could focus on more important things. When Sarah and Thomas looked out to see the military parade, they were reminded of the massive one held to celebrate the victory of the Myakkan Revolution. Sarah, however, was not really much one for the military and focused her attention on writing articles on the need for total women's liberation. As she sat with Hassan, she smiled at him. "Don't you think that the women deserve rights regardless of class and those other distinctions? Don't you think that the Marxist Revolution can enshrine such rights?"

Sarah brushed her hair back with her hand and continued to speak. "The essence of revolution is the mandate given to all who serve it to ensure the rights of ALL people throughout the land which includes women. The Revolution which took place in Myakka enshrined women's freedom in its core values. This is what the Revolution needs to stand for, Hassan. It needs to stand for freedom."

Sarah then rose from her seat and overlooked the display of Karuchean armed might unfolding for her very eyes below them. After a while, she turned to Hassan and smiled. "I'm sure that you have much to tell me about yourself and your beliefs so go on and tell me."

------------

Thomas was busy reading the Military Socialist literature that he had been given and felt that it certainly was an interesting system but felt that it conflicted with his conviction that the peasants and workers must be the vanguard of the Revolution and that the military's only purpose was to defend the Revolution. But, he'd give Military Socialism his attention even if as a mere curious person. "To me it all sounds like socialism with a militarist face." Thomas uttered as he was reading. "It really does but I'm sure there's more to it than just that."
