It is a dark time for the Christian Church. An onslaught of atheism and state religion beset the true followers of Christ the world over. For as far back as recent memory reaches, this turning of the tide has been visible. As mankind’s technology develops and his scientific acumen increases, it is as though this comes at the expense of his spiritual insight. In his ignorance, man has inadvertently led himself into the dawning of a new dark age, in which he allows himself to be beguiled by false religion, idol worship, egoism, and the evil convenience of atheism. For us, the remaining followers of the One True God who have not been fooled by atheist demagoguery or seduced by the promises of cultists, it is necessary to band together against the rising ride. In light of this, His Most Holy Majesty, Emperor Nikolai I, Sovereign Emperor of Generia and her Dominions, High Patriarch of the Generian Orthodox Church has hereby called for a gathering of the Christian ecclesiastical leaders of the world.

His Most Holy Majesty welcomes Christian leaders of all denominations to the White Citadel, in the Imperial capital of Sofia to discuss the place of the Christian Church in the modern era. The Emperor does not view the differences in our interpretations of the Gospel as a handicap to our cooperation, and on the contrary feels that Imperial Orthodoxy can complement the Holy Catholic as well as protestant churches. All Christians must stand united in times such as these, and a period of inter-clerical accord must be achieved.

As such, we of the Generic Empire pray for a successful opening to this Conference, set to begin in one week’s time.

His Holiness the Pope, though in the midst of leading his flock in Crusade against the godless Kingston Pact, intends to attend His Holy Magesty's conference. Indeed, the Holy Catholic Church and Generian Orthodox Church have a long and rich history of cooperation, one that His Holiness would like very much to continue through his reign.

While we are an arogant bunch in Stevid and look more vavourably towards the church of centuries past, namely c. 1100-1200s, and in so doing do not fully agree with some of the Churches attending. However we applaud all efforts made by all Christian sects to band together under one banner, if only for a couple of hours, to strenghen our resolve and faith against the heresy that attacks us everyday.

Therefore we will send a Cardinal from one of our greatest Cathedrals, St. malleus is one of the largest cathedrals in the world and a beacon of Christian light. Only the holiest of men that serve the Church are granted a position here. Cardinal Thomas Moore of St. Malleus Cathedral will attened this session in the Generic Empire.

We are pleased to accept the invitation to the Conference. Although we in West Zirconia are a largely Christian nation, we appreciate that the problems that you cite are rife in other nations, and are in need of urgent attention.

Unfortunately, I shall be unable to attend personally, as I am engaged in other church matters. However I, and the Church, shall be represented by West Zirconia's third-ranked church leader, the Rt. Revd. Daniel Wright, Bishop of Banks.

Dr. Wright will keep me informed of developments in the Conference, for which I am grateful. Moreover, you can be reassured that I shall be praying for you as you meet.

Official Imperial Statement

Generia will be pleased to welcome the Clerical leaders of the nations of Lynion, West Zirconia, and the Philippiniada, and those the Holy Roman Catholic Church in Stevid. The Generian Orthodox Church is futhermore pleased that our Catholic cousins in Stevid will see fit to overlook their differences with the other Churches for the benefit of Christendom as a whole. To the Rt. Revd. Gordon Birch, we thank you for your prayers, and will welcome your representative with open arms.
