At 2:30 on August 8th, the United Baekdusani People's Resistance Army took the Baekdusani capitol of Changbai City. The People's Army has been in an on going civil war with the former Government of Baekdusan for the last five years. The war, caused by growing alienation of the people and the government, along with various new laws, tax raises and the outlaw of all political freedoms. The new government, which is to change from a dictatorship to a republic, has been in action since the total surrender of the ex-dictator in the Alin square, just north of, and in plain view of, the palace of the ex-dictator. The revolutionaries, once few in number and relying on geurilla tactics, have become a military force out numbering the previous military 2 to 1. In the coming days, various reforms will take place in the govnment and the country itself.
