(OCC: This is my first trade organization so bare with me please)
About
The Global Island Nation Trade Federation or GINTF was created for uniting and opening the economies of Island Nations. Many island nations may have limited access to resources, while others are filled to the brim with many resources. Such as oil, and many valuable minerals. For that reason the Federation of Prycuse (an island nation, of course) has created this fine organization. This goes far beyond embassies trade agreements in that it opens the participants to many more nations, and economies.
Charter
Article 1. To be a full member in the GINTF the nation must agree to free trade with all other nations in the GINTF or their group (See #4).
Article 2. To be a secondary member in the GINTF the nation must have a least a partial open trade. Which means only certain trade goods are in free, no tariff trade, and at least 1 trade good in a taxed trade.
Article 3. To be an Associate Member in the GINTF the nation will only open a taxed (tariff) trade. A tariff is a tax on imported goods making goods made/produced in that nation cheaper than imported.
Article 4. If a nation only wants to trade with a certain group of nations than it can form a group. Groups can choose to trade with other groups or not at all. To form a group A leader must ask for permission to form a group. The leader must also have 4 other nations NOT in any other groups to join you.
Article 5. A nation can drop out of a group and move to a different group or the free nation group. Just tell me. If a group has less than 5 people (including the leader) it will be disbanded. If a group leader drops out or quits the GINTF A new leader must be elected by the members of the group. If the members fail to elect a new leader I will choose one or the group will be disbanded, and all remaining nations will be moved to the Free Nation Group.
Article 6. This is, for some part, a democracy. Unless a situation becomes out of hand or a decision can not be made some actions (See #7) will be done by voting.
Article 7. Following are actions that *may* require voting: electing leaders, removing members, amendments to the charter, removing leaders, banning products. Voting is NOT limited to these actions. ** these actions can also be carried out without voting.
Article 8. All nations must not be at war with another in the GINTF. If a war is started between nations, those nations will be moved to the standby list. In the standby list the nation can NOT trade with other nations unless it is done outside the GINTF, and they can not vote in the elections or trials.
Article 9. The trade of *illegal* substances in the name of the GINTF is prohibited and will be an automatic ejection from the Federation. ** these are substances illegal in the Real Life United States.
Article 10. To be an observer A nation must not participate in the actual trading be offer some other service of use to the GINTF. Such as (but not limited to) housing a branch or the HQ of the GINTF, contributing ideas, and hosting events. Observers can not vote or even engage in trading with other members unless done outside of the GINTF.
Article 11. All members must be an Island Nation or at least 90% Islands. A continent is not an island. If your nation is a main land nation less than 90% Islands you can only be an observer(See #10).
Article 12. If A nation is at war with another nation for more than 2 weeks one or both nations may be ejected from the GINTF and are prohibited from rejoining until hostilities cease. Some nations may not be allowed to rejoin.
Article 13. If you do not want to be in a specific group your nation will be put in the free nation group
If you are willing to participate The GINTF is expecting you to read all of the very boring, yet informative, block of text above. Thank You. (If I missed something critical or I did something totally wrong please tell me)
