The Asgarnian Department of Trade, Commerce, and International Affairs is officially opening embassy exchange services between Asgarnieu and the rest of the world.
As of 9 August 2008, this service is open to any nation.
What You Should Know
Asgarnian law declares embassies on Asgarnian soil the soverign property of the nation holding the lease. This prevents unwanted incursions by Asgarnian government, military, or police forces on embassies without due notification.
We are looking to host embassies for the following reasons:
1) Assist foreign nationals visiting Asgarnieu
2) Promote good foreign relations with world nations
3) Promote foreign trade
All embassies will be located in Balkan City, Balkan City S.A.R., Asgarnieu's capital. If an applicant does not wish to be located in Balkan City, please make this known.
Nations may also request to exchange military facilities.
If your nation is willing to adhere to the following rules, reply without haste!
Rules
1) Nations may not bring overly destructive weapons, such as rocket launchers, anti-air systems, or tanks.
2) Nations are welcome to bring firearms and non-lethal weaponry to defend the soveriegnty of their embassy, but the weapon-to-employee ratio may not exceed 3:1.
3) National police forces are welcome to police and patrol soverign embassy territory, but may not exceed 20 personnel.
4) A small contingent of military forces are welcome to act as guards, but the number may not exceed 50 personnel.
5) Aircraft are allowed, and accommodations for fixed-wing aircraft will be made at Balkan City International Airport in a guarded hangar, also to be considered soverign territory of the leasing nation.
6) Any breach of the afformentioned rules will result in the nullification of the lease.
Leasees are given the following choices for embassies:
1) Embassies may be pre-fabricated structures, or more permanent structures to be built at Asgarnieu's expense and at the location of the Leasee's desire.
2) Helipads can be constructed at the desire of the Leasee, at Asgarnieu's expense.
3) Armored fortifications are also available, built at the expense of Asgarnieu and at the Leasse's desired location.
