Roma V

The reporter (http://www.sidelinehotties.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/charissa-thompson-fsn-1.jpg) took a breath as she reviewed her lines in her head. "You ready, Assia?", asked her cameraman as he climbed out of the back of their truck and hefted the large camera onto his back. "Yeah. I'm set", she answered with a charming smile. He returned it and nodded, clicking a few buttons on his camera. "We're on in 5, 4, 3, 2..." and mouthed the word "one" as he nodded to her.
On the screen of a television the female reporter lifted her mic to her mouth, the label "Airwaves International" on the side of it. "Hello there. I'm Assia Taripanuci of Airwaves International. We're live here in Rome where Roma V is celebrating the birth of their billionth citizen."
The screen cut to a clip of a woman in a hospital bed holding newborn child in her arms with her husband watching with a bright smile next to her. "Maria Raffino of Roma V gave birth to her son, Mario Raffino, this morning at 9:41 AM. Emperor Quaeus himself visited the family in the hospital and awarded the family in denarii equal to $25,000 USD. He also promised the child a scholarship to the prestigious University of Bologna, with all tuition payments paid for the first 2 years if the child excelled in his studies." The clip ended and switched back to the reporter.
"Including the gifts, a parade has recently ended in Rome to celebrate the birth of the child as well as this landmark in Roma V's history."
The screen cut to another clip. Various military vehicles, a marching band, and a float carrying the family as well as Roma V soldiers marching in the parade were in the clip. "After the parade Emperor Quaeus gave a speech to all of the attendants."
The clip cut again and Emperor Quaeus stood at a podium on a small stage where hundreds were gathered infront of him. "My kinsmen, today marks a great moment in Roma V's history. We have joined the world's superpowers in outlasting the conflicts around us. No more is Rome a collection of historical ruins, but it is a power once more! Together, with your cooperation, we have restored Rome to her former glory! No longer are we the ones looking up to nations for examples to lead by, we are the example! Rome was built on the foundations of a dream. Freedom, equality, and unity. But the dream was so fragile, that even the smallest change could be made or it would upset the balance. We have achieved balance together, and I can assure you that from now on Rome will prosper!" The people shouted and cheered in response to the speech. Many waved their flags energetically and some had made custom signs which they held with pride.
The report's face appeared back on the screen. "We have received word that the remainder of the day will have private festivals and celebrations all across the nation as well as a firework show that will take place along the canals. That's all for now in Roma V, i'm Assia Taripanuci, Airwaves International."
The report ended and the two anchors back in their home studio made a few comments on the report before letting their viewers know they'd be back after a commercial break.
