OOC: How exactly would you fit a 30 round clip on an M1 Garand? The M1 only accepts 8 round stripper clips, so you'd have to completely redesign the M1. Which, in turn, would not make it an M1. Believe me when I say that it would be much better to just buy M14s then upgrade M1s.

OOC: Maybe make it a 30 round M1 Carbine with select fire?

OOC: Wouldn't you have to extend the clip through the bottom like the M14?

OOC: The M1 Carbine wouldn't even be able to pierce the most basic Kevlar armor. Like I said before, just buy better weapons instead of upgrading old ones. The only weaponry that can really be "updated" are vehicles like tanks and aircraft. Russia still uses upgraded T-55s but that's because it would be better to use them in reserve instead of scrapping them.

OOC: Wouldn't you have to extend the clip through the bottom like the M14?

OOC: Thus, it would be much simpler and less time consuming to simply buy the much improved M14 instead of an upgraded M1.

This is as badly-researched and badly written-up as United Gordonopia's storefront. Find the thread and see what I've posted, you'll see what I mean. There is also no such thing as an FN BAR.

Shall I critique the designs for you?
