It is the sad duty of the Government of Heroica to inform the world of a disaster in our nation's fledgling space program.
Earlier today our newly designed rocket system exploded in the upper reaches of of the Thermosphere at an altitude of roughly 650km. This rocket was a manned mission, costing us the lives of 4 brave astronauts.
Within an hour of the explosion, anti-government rebels contacted the Ministry of State Security, claiming responsibly for this heinous terrorist act. At more orders the Ministry of Defense and Ministry of State Security have increased their efforts to capture these murders of these brave Heroicans.
To our neighbor nations, there is a cause of concern. Unknown to Us, the Supreme Chancellor of Heroica, , Our Ministry of Science informed Us, that there was radioactive material on board the rocket. That due to the altitude of the explosion, there is a danger of fallout. Rest assured my fellow leaders, We have punished those offending scientists. Our science adviser has requested that We inform the global community of the danger, and to assure World Leaders that the danger is minimal. As a sign of Our magnificent benevolence, countries that can prove any ill effects of radioactive fallout from our destroyed spacecraft, my apply to Heroica for just compensation.
