Hello, Welcome to RNN. We have some sad news today.

Today, at 4pm in the Imperial Palace, Emperor Dire Raskov was assassinated by the radical Moer group. The Emperors eldest son and heir to the throne, 16 year old Josh Raskov, will as Ralkovian tradition dictates inherit the throne. Josh has been showed to lean to the ultra-right and will no doubtedly be making some new laws once he gets into the throne. The coronation will be held after Dire's burial.
We will keep you updated on more news. Investigation is ongoing for the Emperors assassinator.

The street which was just so crowded a few moments ago is now completely empty except for dead bodies. Some were civilian others from the armed men protecting the Emperor in waiting. From behind a tree, a man with an AK shoots at two armed soldiers.

The last limo is parked at the side with 3 soldiers taking cover behind it.

All you need do is ask and we will turn that man to dust. we have F-22s on the way now. ETA 5 min.

A Ralkovian Sniper watched his target carefully. His spotter gave him the direction the wind was blowing, the sniper quickly took this into account and moved the rifle to the left. In front of him was a man, in front of him was a man who might have killed the Peoples Beloved Emperor, Here was a man who had caused danger to befall the his son. The Man had kept popping out from behind a tree. The Sniper moved his large Tac-50 anti-material sniper rifle onto where the man was hiding. He held steady and released a shot.

The bullet spun out of the barrel gracefully as the explosion propelled it out into the open. As the bullet left, a loud crack came from the barrel from the explosion. The noise meant death to the person the rifle was aimed at. It was like the sound of a whip hitting a mans back but a 100 times louder. The bullet sped to its target, spinning all the while. Death would be delivered to its enemy, not even a tree which its enemy hid behind provided a cover. The bullet smashed into the tree trunk and passed on through into the mans heart and then into the concrete floor before finally stopping 10ft into the ground. The tree collapsed on the already dead man.

Ralkovian soldiers ran over to the dead man under the tree. He had a passport to a country, it was covered in blood, but the soldier wiped it off.

As Franco Martinello, leader of the criminal organization Iron Fist watched the broadcast with two of his best "security consultants", Derek Remington and Damien Denski, he laughed. Derek said, "Those guys are amateurs. Striking with small arms while he was still in the car just got them dead". Damien replied with, "I agree. The best way to go is wait until the whelp was getting coronated, and punch his ticket with an unserialized high power rifle". Franco asked the two other men, "Do you boys want a shot at the Emperor to be?". Derek responded with, "Do you want to remove a problem, or were you looking for something more memorable?". Damien said, "I think what he's asking is, 'Do you want it surgical or messy?'". Franco said, "Sorry, just thinking out loud. He won't have any effect on us, so it wouldn't make sense to spend money to deal with him. Anyways, let's get some linguine".

OOC: You know, I was working on my post for a bit (had to look up some names of some of my seldomly used characters), so I didn't see your post. I'm not really interested in being the nation the assassins came from, though.

A helicopter landed and took the Emperor to be with them. The helicopter landed at the Imperial Palace without any delay, Josh cursed out his Security Minister. A corrupt fat man who had ties to a major terrorist organization. Josh wouldn't be surprised if it was the minister himself who had leaked the information of the route he was going himself. Josh dismissed the man fro his court and his post as a council member. As the man left he smiled, the man had made a remark about how Joshs father was a fool and Josh an even bigger one. Joshs anger soared as he heard the man, Josh took out his fathers personal Colt Double Eagle. He yelled to the man, who turned around still smiling, who stopped when he saw the pistol, Josh got up from his fathers old desk and emptied round after round into the fat pig. The mans collapsed on the cold stone floor, which was quickly growing warm from the dead mans blood.

The Death Guard rushed into the room, thinking that someone had attacked the Emperor to be. Josh quickly told them to get rid of the body. It wasn't uncommon for certain trouble people to dissappear in Ralkovia. Most people were simply exiled and sent to the borderlands.

(OOC: I guess I'll start the arrivals.)

"Inquisitor, we are preparing to land." The pilot's voice echoed from the speakers built into the plane.

Inquisitor Ferdinand Hondor looked up from his newspaper. It was the latest Ralkovian issue, and the headlines bore "Emperor Assassinated! Investigation underway!"

The Holy Office of the Inquisition was mainly an investigative body within the Holy Imperium of Angenteria, and was mainly used to root out heretical cults with insane plots to destabilize Angenteria by some terrorist action or another. Because of this, Angenterian Inquisitors were some of the sharpest detectives Angenteria had to offer.

Hondor was not alone in this endeavor. Accompanying him was a specialized team of people, which formed Fondor's personal retinue. With him was Tomas Mott, his scholar and knowledge-junkie, Lana Quintus, his main investigator and problem solver, Gerard Revilius, the muscle in case things got hairy, Sebastian Drak, the pilot and driver, and Tira Hill, his apprentice. All of the men and women (save for Mott) were armed with pistols and knives concealed in various places.

As his plane approached Ralkovian airspace, the pilot sent a message to the Ralkovian officials:

This is the Angenterian investigative team, requesting permission to land.

You have permission. Welcome to Ralkovia, we could only wish that the reason behind you coming here could have been a more joyous one.

OOC: what was I suppose to do? umm... I'm sort of lost here?

ooc: I'll tell you when you are going to get involved TUG. For now I'm establishing the general foundation for the Rp.

"Alright, beginning land procedures."

The plane touched down on the runway, it's speed gradually slowing to a halt.

Before he knew it, Hondor had arrived in the Ralkovian Empire.

Hondor stepped out of the plane door, squinting at the daylight. He stepped off onto the ground, his team following.

OOC: What should i do? im not following...

ooc: Just say your investigators landed with Hondors

Soldiers marched past Hondor and his entourage. The soldiers were fully equipped and armed. All across the capital every nut job and his grandma were causing havoc. Buses had been overturned in some streets, fires were everywhere, and civilians with rifles were shooting each other up. The city had finally been returned to order, still soldiers marched either here or there with tanks and APCs behind them.

The fire trucks were escorted with APCs to make sure the trucks got to the fires alright. It had been a hell-hold a few hours ago, the streets were cleaned up and the dead and wounded moved out.

The plane touched down at the Ralkovian airport around 6 A.M. All 5 FSU agents stepped of the plane. The place was in tumoil. Fires, flipped cars, gunshots. Nobody knew what to say as they were welcomed by the Ralkovians. they were ushered into APCs and got rolling. Towards the crime scene.

ooc: Well I will make a response later. Its 1am where I live and I have a book report to finish. I will probably be on around 10 or 11pm Eastern Standard Time(US)

(OOC: I'm going to assume my team was ushered into APCs along with Chernobl)

Inquisitor Hondor sat tight in the back of the Ralkovian APC, which was now speeding towards the crime scene. He eyed the other investigator, probably from some other country, that sat across from him.

He decided that a little cooperation between the teams would do everyone some good.

He looked to the man sitting across him.

"Ferdinand Hondor, Angenterian Inquisition. Are you investigating too?"

ooc: Sorry yeah, I forgot to put your transportation down...I am now going to bed...I am not going to stay on *tries to turn off computer but is failing* TO HORRIBLY ADDICTED!!!!

"Yes my name is Turick Rascalov, FSU its a honor."

No further assistance is necessary. Thank you for your kind thoughts, we at Ralkovia appreciate friends such as you.

The gunshots grew louder as they were brought deeper into the city. Lyssa looked over to see Turick and some other investigator deep in conversation.
A Ralkovian trooper was on the comm with his commanding officer. He kept talking about some sort of package which Lyssa assumed was them. "ETA to scene 5 min." the Ralkovian said before putting down the radio.

Looking out the thick glass window on the back Turick could see soldiers with machine guns spraying a house with bullets. Inside some people had rifles and were shooting back. The house quickly caught fire and a firetruck waiting behind the troops emptied hundreds of gallons of water into it.

In front of the APCs a roadblock had been established with soldiers using 3 tanks to block it. Two tanks were at either side of the road, in the middle was another tank which was in back of the other two making a steel tank.

"Security's pretty tight." Hondor remarked, watching the tanks as they passed through the roadblock.

"Who do you think they're fighting?" Gerard said aloud.

"It could be a multitude of things." Mott replied "It could be armed anti-government 'revolutionary' groups, who see this as their time to strike."

"Whatever they are." Lana cut in. "The fighting is going to drive the assassins deeper undercover, making our job that much harder."

The Inquisitor nodded. He was pleased that his team was already analyzing the situation, and drawing possible conclusions.

Soldiers ran to and fro across the streets. A sniper could be seen from the top of the building watching his surroundings, he dissappeared mysteriously into the dark building again. The man popped out again a floor below where he previously was.

The APCs stopped at an intersection, as a long train of tanks came rolling down the compact city intersection. A small civilian sedan was crushed again and again as the large tanks turned it into nothing but a metal pancake. Soldiers paid in no mind and continued their patrols.

A colonel walked up to the APC and hit against the metal passenger door. The driver opened his door and stepped out. They began to speak a traditional language of ralkovia, Taraskov. The driver shouted at the colonel twice showing him 3 Ralkovian documents with the emperors mark of approval. The colonel finally put his hands up and whistled. A man on the side of the road stopped the tanks and the APCs were allowed to pass.

ooc: BUMP

(OOC: Uhh, you kinda have to give us more then 'the guards let us pass.')

ooc: Well I was thinking that you guys would talk more. I want to know the history of your characters.

(OOC: Gotcha. I'll do some tomorrow. It's late and I have work.)

ooc: Fine by me.

The driver continues to make his way to the checkpoint. They are about 15 miles away but do to the traffic and many military checkpoints it would take another hour or so before they would arrive. The city slowly quieted down as the military smashed the rebels will to fight. The trains of lumbering tanks came to a screeching halt when radio calls of small arms fire stopping were put out onto the radio.

The odd turreted metal bull would be seen rolling around on its treads once in a while, but there weren't as many tanks as there was before. Life in the capital had quieted down once more. Construction crews had been called in to repair damage to buildings, the city streets had finally been cleaned of blood. It seemed almost eerie that death could be ignored so easily in Ralkovia. Business men could be seen passing through checkpoints on their way to work.

"Looks like things are calming a bit." Hondor remarked, gazing out the window.

"Sure, boss. Just like that time in Angenteria City, right?"

Hondor laughed at that remark. Gerard had been in Hondor's service since for about eight years, longer then any other member accompanying him now, save for Tomas Mott (he'd been serving Hondor since he attained the rank of Inquisitor.)

"Thats great, but it'll take forever to get just about anywhere at this rate." Tira pointed out. Tira was, in Hondor's opinion, quickly learning the ropes of an Inquisitor's work (and preforming admirably,) and would make an excellent inquisitor, when the time came.

"You can thank the Ralkovian military for that." Lana replied. Lana had been in Hondor's service for a handful of years, and had adjusted to the Inquisitor's style of running things admirably.

"They're just being cautious." Hondor cut in. "If something were to happen to Emperor Riektal, bless his name, Angenteria City would be even worse." Everyone nodded somberly. Hondor had been an Angenterian Inquisitor for about 14 years at this point, and has had much experience in dealing with large conspiracy plots, such as this situation had called for.

The APCS finally arrived at the crime scene that had just happened a few hour ago. There were still dead men and everything had been left in place. The streets were heavily patrolled by Ralkovian Police officers and the military.

From the street, they could see the Imperial Palace. If the city was heavily patrolled then the palace must have been a military garrison for half the national army. Past the beautiful iron fencing and gates were at least 100 tanks, a few hundred APCs, and even light artillery. The huge grass meadows and flowers that surrounded the palace building has been torn up by tank treads and even trenches. The building itself had been turned into a fortress. At least 200 Snipers watched the city from the top of the imperial palace. The Emperor to be was holed up in the palace, he was being defended by the death guard and only the death guard.

Any assault on the palace would be met with open fire. It showed by the stacks of dead but armed men. The drivers finally haulted allowing the chernobl and angenteria teams to get out.

"Well, end of the line." Gerard said, looking at the dead bodies lying around the area.

"Looks like not all the assassins got away." Hondor remarked "Let's have a look. Report anything interesting to me. I want a list of names of who had access to their Emperor at this time."

His team fanned out, searching the immediate area for clues.

Lana, her investigative skill kicking in, waved over a nearby soldier.

"Would you give me a detailed description of what happened, and just exactly who could've seen Emperor Raskov, rest His soul, at the time of the assassination?"

The FSU agents left the APCs and immeadiatly procured thier COP(Crimescene Observation PDAs) PDAs and began checking the area for finger prints, gun oil, foot prints, shells and anything else that could be used as evidence.

The soldier looked down to the ground as she mentioned the Emperor. "God rest his soul. The only people who had access to the Emperor." He looked down again. "Any number of head ministers, foreign guests, and the Death Guard. The death guard are the only ones allowed to carry weapons anywhere near the Emperor," He looked down again. "But the Death Guard are fanatically loyal and will guard the Emperor," The man looked down to the ground again, "to the death. To get anymore information you would have to talk to the Security Commander and Death Guard Commander, Vizier-in-command Vlad Rustov Massac. The rest is classified up to the highest level."

"I see..." Lana replied, quickly taking down notes on her notepad.

"Would it be possible for us to interview Vizer-in-command Massac?"

"Yes, he is here right now, but you would have to wait a while. I can get him"

"That would be most helpful."

ooc: "Kay" He walked behind a screen and popped out. "I hear your looking for Vizer-in-command Massac I am him...."

IC: The man walked towards a command tent and began talking. A few minutes later a man in black-clad armor walked up to the agents. "I am Vizier-in-command."

ooc: BUMP

Lana quickly sized up the man she was talking to. From first impressions, he certainly did look like a commander. Big, burly, and all enhanced by the uniform he wore.

"Lana Quintus, Angenterian Imperial Inquisition. With your permission, I would like to ask you some questions about the circumstances of the assassination of Emperor Raskov. In particular, I would like to know exactly how Emperor Raskov was assassinated, important pieces of evidence, and the people who could've had access to Him at the time of the Assassination."

"Well the only people who have access to him, would be councilors and death guard. At the time of his death neither were near him. He died from a sniper bullet to the head, what we found peculiar though was that there was no shattered glass for a bullet to come through the window. That means he was shot from inside the palace."

So it was an inside job. Just as I thought. Nobody from the outside would even try to assassinate an Emperor without inside help. Lana thought to herself, her expression serious. She remembered something that was bothering her.

"Whose bodies are these?" She asked, indicating the bodies that were strewn about by the Emperor's body.

"Councilmen, 2 death guard, and we believe 2 of the assassins. We aren't sure, one of our men tried touching them and collapsed moments later."

They collapsed just by touching them? Lana thought. That's interesting...
"What do you think could've caused that?"

"We believe the body to be booby-trapped, one of my men told me that they spotted an unpinned grenade on one of the assassins backs. Right now we are waiting for a bomb-squad to get here. What we don't want is for that bomb to go off and kill any more of my men or destroy any of the evidence...In my opinion this whole thing is a farce, Josh is just thick-headed, we all believe a group known as the Black Cobra did it, the assassins all have a black cobra on them, but Josh doesn't believe they did it. He thinks it was the council of ministers but theres are new emperor for you, thinks the council is all corrupt."

One of Joshs death guard, easily identifiable by the red, yellow, and black armor instead of the normal black armor walked up behind Lana.
"Vizier, the bomb squad has arrived, there commander would like to talk to you about what they are dealing with."
Joshs death guard slipped a note into Lana's back pocket as he turned around, so that even the Vizier couldn't see what he did. The Death guard walked away like nothing happened.
"You must excuse me miss Lana, I must talk to those idiots before they blow the whole place up, sometimes I forget that all people aren't as capable of death guard...no offense"

The terrorists who attacked Meron did it .

"Well, what do you think, Lana." Lana whirled around, seeing Hondor pacing towards her.

"Well, sir, from the looks of things, it was definitely an inside job. The thing is, the Ralkovians are split to who exactly. The military men seem to think it's some mysterious cult of assassins, but the new Emperor thinks it's a few corrupt officials."

"Hmm. Well, it seems we're not making much progress either. One of the bodies seems to be booby-trapped, though. Keep looking for now, something's bound to turn up."

With that, Hondor walked off to instruct the rest of the team.

As soon as the Inquisitor was out of earshot, Lana reached into her back pocket, and opened pulled out what seemed like a note. She opened it up.

The Emperor-in-Waiting needs to talk to you and your team. At 8:30PM go to the Hotel Ramasae, room 880, you will be able to walk in. Go in one by one not together

Well, this is certainly new. Lana thought. Maybe this new Emperor has it more together then the Vizer lets on...

Cursing herself for not showing the Inquisitor, she now had to find him. That part wasn't difficult. He was over by Gerard, berating him for almost setting off the bomb.

He strode over to Hondor.

"Sir, one of the guards gave me this." She handed him the note. He skimmed it briefly. "What do you make of it, boss?"

"I'm not sure. But if it's the Emperor that wants to see us, we'd better go." Hondor replied, his face hardening. "Find us a place to stay for now. And Lana?"

"Yes?"

"Don't hide things from me ever again, deal?"

"Y-yes, sir. My apologies."

The Inquisitor nodded slowly, and Lana went off to procure some shelter, greatful to be out of the Inquisitor's presence.

Well, he didn't make inquisitor for being naive.

One of the dead men was leaning near a wall his blood was splattered on one side of the wall, but on the other side it stopped directly at one point. A close up view showed that the wall had an almost door like appearance.

Tira Hill walked along the wall, hoping to find something that can point her in the right direction, like a bullet casing or piece of forensic evidence. She came across a corpse, with it's blood spattered on the wall next to it. But something was off. The blood ran across the wall, but stopped abruptly.

Now this could mean only one thing... She placed her hand on the wall, where the blood spatter should have been, and pushed.

The door slightly moved but it was locked. The vizier walked by,"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?! Don't touch that!!!!!!!"

Tira's head jerked backwards, noticing the palace guard screaming at her.

"I'm sorry! Please forgive me!" She yelped, instantly removing her hands from the door.
