Nohor, stood in the shadows of the Grand Palace. He was on a mission, to discover the plans the North Sarvonian Government had in store for the rebellion. Quietly slipping through the entrance doors he made his way down the narrow corridor, hearing a noise he quickly hid in the shadows. A man wearing a black and purple cloak walked pass him, muttering silently to himself, "Foolish, king..Gonna kill us all", were all that Nohor could. Deciding to follow the man he made sure he was safetly hidden. The man stoppen at two large silver doors, "South Sarvonia" he said and the doors opened revealing a large silver room, filled with at least 60 people all working on a computer. In the middle of the room was a glass case, with 4 miniature nuclear bombs in it. The man stepped inside and the doors immediatley closed. "Damn it" Nohor cursed. Pulling out a small pod from his pocket he threw it at the door. Two holes appeared in it, in one hole a mechanial hand appeared and attached itself to the door. In the other hole appeared two head phones, wich Nohor placed upon his ears, the pod began to glow blue and Nohor heared the slick voice of Emperor Hugo. "Good Day Eric" Hugo said. "Gooday your highness" said the man called eric, "Enough chit-chat, Hugo said,"Lets get down to buissness, as you can see in the center of the room are four model nuclear missles. Those missles are the exact replica of what we are going to use to crush there silly rebellion, and once we have crushed them, we will take the four sacred jewels, that are currently in there posestion. Once we have the for sacred jewels we will be able to revive south Sarvonia, and make Sarvonia whole again". "Yes your magesty" Eric said. Nohor couldnt beleive his ears, if Sarvonia was brought whole again, that would mean doom and chaos for the rest of the world. He had to tell the general.

I don't think I can just jump in without there being something either addressed
to International community or to my country directly.

Hay what happened to everyone else?

OOC: Cascade, this is an offshoot of the other thread, so everything that happened there has happened here, too. At least, that’s how I’m working, hence my troops are magically here. If you’d rather I paste in my other responses, I’ll edit. Also, the start looks like it's approaching either fantasy or nuclear warfare, I can't tell which -- both aren't good things, though.

IC:

Colonel Lucia Bianco had only been chosen because of her performance commanding the Gendarme and levy force in the Eastern Properties when Ryouese militants had seized a palladium mine. The Grand General liked her, despite her inexperience compared to all of her peers in the Gendarme. She couldn't help but think that, perhaps, he placed too much faith in her.

Her plane had landed first and she stood away from the tarmac with a small retinue, waiting for her troops to all arrive. She wasn't sure yet if any had been shot down as she was told to maintain radio silence by the EF fleet command, presumably to keep the Imps on the other side from knowing as much as possible.

She spoke to the handful of officers with her. "Alright, bizzies, here's the shit as we know it. We're in the mountains, Sars are on our side, Imps on the other. This is civil; no, we probably shouldn't be here; yes, we plan to fight to win. Figure Santheres is gettin' something out of it. We do what the Sars think we should 'til fleet lands the mechs. Barbs and Cons come later, don't expect much of them, we're probably it. Hopefully we can use the Sars as C-Fo. Now get to the meet 'n greet once the kit's together. God bless."

They scattered to get the word to each of the battalions coming off the planes. Colonel Bianco stayed where she was and watched her troops land. It was a delicate operation, each C-17 having only minutes to spare between landing and having to take off again. Four thousand troops, all arriving by air to the mountain strip; 40 planes, two platoons in each. It would take awhile and they were the smallest force they knew of that was offering help. Of course, they were also probably better than many of the others, but that was, of course, prideful opinion.

Offshore, the Expeditionary Force was slowly approaching. Very slowly approaching. They were in no hurry and the landing operation would be difficult. She just hoped they wouldn't have to attempt any kind of amphibious warfare; the troops to be carried by the IFVs numbered fewer than five hundred and they wouldn't last long assaulting a fixed position from the sea. They weren't even Condotta. They were to land in friendly territory, hold a couple roads, a beach, and possibly a town, and then wait for the reinforcements from home, or for her Gendarme, whoever could get there first. Lucia assumed it'd be her troops. And then she wished they had given her a full division instead; but she was only a colonel and colonels aren't allowed to command divisions, and the Ministry of Defense was unwilling to sacrifice a general to this, as all officers were going to be in the field for this one. Naturally, as they were just dropped into what she could only assume was a surrounded position.

She mentally noted to herself not to use the word "Sars" to refer to the Sarvonians when she was talking to them. They might not have had the same sense of humor as she did.

I was unaware that we were continuing from the old thread.
Then I guess my questions are as follows,
Should I be reading both threads still?

And Have my air craft met any resistance from hostile forces ( since I was
approaching airspace in the old thread ) ?

Okay I found my last post about the Air craft;

"If you need, or would like.
Our nation has hmmm, considerable Air power at it's disposal and we could
possibly release 50-100 B-52's if needed to soften up the opposition before peace keepers could be landed safely.
Our forces are on the way, not sure how long it will take them.
But Air borne could arrive within 12 hours if we have an LZ.

Best regards,
Col. R.K. Flores,

OOC: Hey, NS, can you make some IC posts? Otherwise we have nowhere to go with this. My troops need a local liaison, an in-characters status report as well as IC posts about OOC knowledge. We the players should probably know what's going on around the country. I'd kind of like to have an RP to play, but at this rate, it's me, you, and Cascade when we had 3 or 4 others willing to play who have stopped caring. And now a small IC post since I don't want to simply spam the thread.

IC:

When finally the entire task force was on the ground, Colonel Bianco stopped worrying. No anti-air defense, no attacks by belligerent forces made aware of their presence, and no pesky Sarvonian liaisons, yet. Of course, the latter was actually needed since she still had not been apprised of the whole of the situation. Fleet command had, as always, decided to screw the ground forces on information. They probably knew exactly what was going on but no, radio silence was still maintained. The fleet would know they made it to ground when the C-17s crossed over them again. How would she find out when the fleet was ready to begin its assault?

God willing, they would tell her and she wouldn't still be on top of this damn mountain.

IC: General Morvin Eledor, sat in the back of the ASCOD AFV vehicle, loading his hand gun. It was just a safety precaution, incase they were attacked. They would be arriving soon, to pick up the allied forces. Picking up some reports, he examined the profile of the one called Colonel Bianco "Interesting" he mused, suddenly the driver infront called out, "Sir were here". Stepping out of the vehicle handgun ready, he signalled for the rest of the escourt to follow. "Alright, here's the plan" he whispered, "I want you too completely surround them, Squad A you go with Colonel Shinken, Squad B follow me". "Yes Sir".

OOC: Sorry, I was out on a 4-day weekend.

IC:

"Alright, Major, I want everyone to know that we might dig in here for a bit. No telling how long we might be here," Colonel Bianco said to one of her officers, the only one she had above the 0-3 pay grade, at that. "We've got companies Fox through Juliet patrolling the perimeter. You'd think they'd have someone here already, fuckin' Sars."

"Right, sir. Two platoons on you as Alfa, rest under captains. If I may, sir, do you know if our support is coming up here?"

Lucia shook her head. "I have no fuckin' clue where we're going but they're sure as hell not coming for us. We have to get to them eventually. Gotta see what the Sars want first, though. Might have to work in concert with them."

Major Ciaramitaro nodded slowly and saluted the Bianco. He hadn't been in a position like this before -- not as an officer, anyway. He had worked his way up the ranks from the common class, serving his mandatory time in lieu of going to university. He was similar to his CO that way: neither of them were from the noble class and neither had attended advanced schooling outside of the military. Both had been privates once, and recruits before that, naturally. Both were pure soldat, and had made a career of it.

Of course, they had gone a different route than many others in their position. Most career soldiers who applied for the special forces tried for the Condotta shock force, arguably the best Santheres had to offer. Of course, both Bianco and Ciaramitaro would argue that.

Just before the major turned away, he added, in a friendly and hushed tone, "I can send shit to my brother at SGG, right?"

Lucia smiled. "Yeah, go for it. Like anything in this craphole matters."

That was off the record. Lucia reminded herself again that she needed to avoid making denigrating remarks about her hosts. Anything for amiable relations. The Diplomatic Corps would have her beaten if she ruined relations with the Sars.

Looking around, she noticed that half the force had already disappeared. Damn, they were good. The other half milled around without orders, ready for an ambush but otherwise fairly relaxed. The patrols would note any incoming....

"Incoming, vehicles, right down the trail!" a squad leader yelled out as his men rushed back to the tarmac.

Her troops immediately spread out and adopted the best firing positions they could with such little cover. The brush around the field was good enough to hide in, the small building that Colonel Bianco assumed was a control station could shield a few more men. But four thousand in a relatively small space prevented decent protection. All the same, whoever was coming did likely not have nearly as many troops

Spread out and covering every angle of approach, they were ready to put up a fight if need be. Lucia only hoped they were friendlies. It was too soon to get into it.

to stop the chaos of this civil war we are going to put our forces Against the Rebels.
Any other Nations who are of a like mind we look forwards to hearing from you, and any nations who are Not of this mind set.
We probably understand your desire to see an uprising, but we cannot in this circumstance support the actions taken by rebels.
We will not fire on any Foreign troops unless they have attacked us or about to attack us.
The Armed Republic of Cascade States hopes that a show of force will be enough to
remind everyone that The loss of life if we need to launch our whole conventional forces will be so costly to the people receiving our displeasure that all sides will stand down.
And peace can return.
