Communist Wiccans Free Red Rebels (Open, MT)

East Congaree
31-07-2008, 22:55
OOC: This is a follow-up to the Red Rebellion and the Political Genocide Against Communism (Operation Jacksonville). You can take control of the rebels ONCE you successfully land forces in my nation and link up with them.

At 2 A.M., explosions were heard on the Federal railways leading into Jacksonville. The city was under attack, with radicals tearing up railway pieces, bombing railways, and cutting off the city from support and supplies. 250kg bombs were detonated on highways leading into the metropolis, cutting off it from highway supply. The highways and roads snaking into the city were cut off, and no traffic could flow in and out. With the city isolated from everything but air traffic, around 2,000 anti-Abrhamic Wiccan rebels who were discontent with the East Congaree government broke into the city, releasing over 100,000 prisoners from Death Camp Jacksonville, a facility that had slaughtered thousands of Communists, Socialists and negroes over the last few weeks. The prisoners attacked the federal garrison in the city, killing 2,000 infantrymen, 374 prison guards (paramilitary and infantry combined), twelve T-55 tanks, two support vehicles, and 1 MiG-21. They captured the other 35 MiG-21s and seven MiG-23s at the airbase, detonating them to destroy the airbase facilities and the two gunboats and two frigates docked in the city. The other 12 gunboats and five frigates escaped. Defenses were set up around the city to keep East Congaree forces out, and the city's AA guns were used to keep East Congaree aircraft from approaching. The city's Muslim and Christian inhabitants were placed in the same camps as the rebels were, except as "prisoners". They were tortured, but not caused any harm except for in the case where four were severely injured.

Charleston, East Congaree 4:45 A.M.

"Mister Chairman, wake up!" Vice President Remington Partridge shouted to East Congaree President, Reginald Deere, who was sprawled across his chair asleep. "What now, cockbird," he replied. "Jacksonville, it's been captured. The Wiccans have it, some numbers of them I say!", the Partridge said. A loud "God Dammit!" was heard from what seemed like miles, echoing all the way to the North Edisto River and James Island (figuratively). By dawn, 10,000 East Congaree infantrymen were marching on Jacksonville.

OOC: Just a reminder note.

Wiccans, Communists (Rebels) are the anti-EC government groups against the Freedom Party.

Christians and Muslims are the followers of the Freedom Party, and thus are the subjects of agression from the Wiccans. There is a "Pan-Abrhamic Alliance" in the nation against the ideals of Paganism and Communism in the nation, which run very closely together in East Congaree.

OOC: Yes, I recognize it is odd to see a Brigadier general commanding what is almost a division. This was the commander that could be most quickly brought to the battlefront.

Outside Jacksonville

"Damn!", the Brigadier general leading the operation into the city said. "The MiGs doing the recon confirmed that all access ways to the city are closed, and they'll take several hours under fire to repair. If we wanted to take the air route, they'll just shoot down our airplanes. If we go the sea route in, mines. In this, the first, but terrible option seems preferable.", he then said. His aide de camp,Lieutenant Michael Willings, commented on the matter "Can't bomb them, either. That'd just kill our civilians, and more good civilians would die than the damn Wiccans." "We'll need to take it street by street," the Brigadier General said with a sigh before ordering his force to continue forward. In this, repairing Engineers would be under fire for hours.

East Congaree Executive Office

Reginald Deere signed into act "Fort Catfish", which he would use as a makeshift internment camp. Two fresh infantry divisions were deployed across the nation to capture all wiccans and send them to this camp. The order would not be known by the public, and the Wiccans would be swept up without the general public knowing a thing, if everything worked as planned. In addition, he called on allies to send in support against foreign invasion and the wiccans.

"Make sure all defenses are up, I heard about their numbers!", Reginald Deere angrily shouted. "Any foreigners get involved, make sure we greet them with a wall of interceptor planes, ships, and a bunch of damn missile batteries," he then went on. Rear Admiral Michael Thurmond sighed, then ordered for defenses to be set up along the whole Eastern Coast.

Across the Eastern Coast of East Congaree

Hundreds of anti-ship missile batteries had been set up along the coast, along with shore defense guns, SAMs, and flak cannons. If an enemy broke the East Congaree aircraft and ships into the water, these would be the primary defense. MiG-25 interceptors sped across the skies over the water, waiting for orders to shoot any agressive aircraft attempting foreign intervention down. MiG-21s and MiG-29s would patrol closer to the coast, along with numerous antiquated MIG-17s. East Congaree's navy, which took up 70% of its defense spending, lay on the waters to stall any attack thrown at them. Overall, the force was being mobilized as a deterrent.

We'd be happy to give them to you, but they want to run their OWN independent communist nation, and the fighting through the city that would be needed to capture them and their communist allies would number at least 100,000 infantrymen and thousands more civilians as of now. Once their waters are demined and their AA and large guns that could be used in anti-ship operations are destroyed, we could consider the task.

Subject: The turmoil within your country.

It has come to the attention of President Zigana Saáry and the other members of the Council that you are experiencing turmoil within your country involving two rebel factions. While we do not condone genocide for any reason, we do not support communism either. Our people were forced to suffer under an iron-handed, communist dictatorship for many years until we finally managed to revolt and we do not wish for your country to do the same. As a sign of this we are sending you:

Two {2} Units of armored troops, one consisting of tanks and infantry support and the other being the IFV transports and infantry support.

Three {3} Companies of Ursavian soldiers air-dropped in at a point of your designation.

and

One {1} Wing Group consisting of ten F-35B Lightning IIs.

We deeply thank you for you assistance, and wish for your infantry forces to be paradropped in the rear of our division headed to the city. In addition, your armored forces would gladly be accepted at our naval base in Hampton Rodes, where they would be shipped down by train to outside Jacksonville- once again to be placed in the rear of our division. The F-35s would be of great use in assistance when our forces conduct air strikes on their anti-air sites.

Above the East Congaree

"Stand up!" The loading officer yelled to the men in the plane.

As the men rose up a one would be able to see a “22nd” emblazoned on all their shoulder patches. They were nicknamed the ‘Raging Bears’ and they consisted of some of the toughest fighters of the ’40 Day War’ against their former government. The doors in the side of the plane sat open, letting the wind in as the men shuffled forward with their Steyr rifles firmly secured to their chests and the rage in their faces partially shrouded given both the lighting and their determination. If there was one thing that any Ursavian man or women hated it was terrorists and rebels. The only thing they hated more was communism and the people they were going in against consisted of both.

Major Oszkar Vas gripped the edge of the door and looked down below him at the city in the distance which looked so small given the mix of altitude and distance. Then he threw himself forward and his static-line pulled out behind him. His chute deployed and he was slowly drifting down in a mass of parachutes as soldiers from other C-130s slowly drifted down to the ground. They were landing, quite literally, just behind their force advancing towards the capitol. As he slowly drifted down he just silently watched his feet hanging limply while the wind slowly blew up in to his helmet.

Hampton Rodes

Sticking out of the commander’s hatch of a Leopard II was Captain Levente Baranyi. He looked around the Naval Base as his tanks slowly loaded off the transport ship and on to the ground. There was twelve Leopard IIs and forty-eight men in support in HUMVEES and there were twelve CV-90s with thirty-six men in a similar setup. They slowly rumbled away from the ship, waiting to be directed as to where to go to get on the train.

Five Miles off the Coast

The Gerald R. Ford class of aircraft carrier sat still, the radio kept open for the calls for depoyment of the ten F-35B Lightning IIs to perform their scheduled bombing runs and destruction of the anti-air sites. Besides that, the entire armory was fully stocked incase another need was to arise such as a bunker of some kind or something similar.

30 C-130 Hercules Craft lifted off from Histan Air Force Base inside of Jimzraway. Aboard them were the troops and tanks that were being sent in to support the East Congaree forces. From Jumtar Air Force Base, the Fighters and Bombers promised took off. About 4 hours into the flight, a radio burst came into all cockpits of all the planes that were inbound, for a moment, there was silence. Then, the voice of Roy Campbell, the second most powerful man in Jimzraway, came over the radio. "This is a burst transmission to the Rebel, Wiccan, Communist, Socialist, whatever the hell you call yourself rebels located within East Congaree. The forces currently inbound to your nation from Jimzraway are under the guise of helping the government forces, however we are willing to extend our help to you instead. However, there are two conditions. One, you must be willing to give us half of any land you have acquired at the end of this uprising. Two, you give us command of your forces during all battles, offensive or defensive, during the uprising. We are much more experienced at fighting wars then you are, most likely. We currently have 10,000 troops, 100 M1-Abrams Tanks, 20 F/A-22 Raptors, and 10 B2-Spirit bombers inbound. These will be used against you, unless you agree to our terms. You have 2 hours to comply." The voice of Campbell cut off. The pilots and co-pilots of the various craft looked at each other, some shook their heads. This was just the kind of thing they were used to by now...the only thing was, the odds were stacked against them this time more then ever. Hopefully, things would work out...

Major Oszkar Vas looked down at the small note of honor in his hands as the few remaining troops touched down on the ground and gathered their chutes. The 17th 'Bloody Vixens' were there along with the 82nd Airborne. The 'Bloody Vixens' were the only all-female military force, or at leas the only one with women in combat positions. Major Oszkar looked around and found what looked to be the commander given his stature and general way he acted around the East Congaree soldiers. He approached quickly and in lock-step while tightly gripping his Steyr tightly. He came up directly behind the commander and gave him two light taps on his shoulder before speaking.

"Excuse me command..." He started in his native language before correcting himself and speaking somewhat poor Congarees "...commander, where do you want us to set up and cover your advance from?" Major Vas asked.

IC: Roy Campbell's voice once again filled the cockpits of the planes. "Ok men...here are your orders. This is going to be a three pronged attack, and all attacks must be executed simultaneously. The C-130 Transports carrying troop and vehicle support are to para drop behind the main force of East Congaree, just as originally agreed upon. Once all forces are in place, you are to take a crescent formation around the back of the main force. You are then to begin attacking, swiftly and quickly. The B2-Spirit Bombers are at this time, to commence a bombing run on the Hampton Roads Naval Air Base. Make only one run, and then proceed to Jacksonville to help finish off the ground forces approaching the city. For now, allow the MiG-21 fighters escort the bombers and F/A-22's to Hampton Roads. Once above the base, the F/A-22's are to open fire, and destroy all the MiG craft. After this is done, you are to assist the B2's in their mission, by destroying any more craft launched, and as many ground defenses as possible during their run. Then, assist with the decimation with the ground forces. All of this MUST be done with precision timing and accuracy. Failure is not an option gentlemen." The transmission cut out. The C-130's began their approach to the main force, and the B2's and F/A-22's adjusted course to meet up with the MiG-21s...

Air Squadron, Approaching Hampton Roads
It was time. 14 of the F/A-22's peeled off to escort the bombers. 6 stayed with the MiG's. Before anyone would have a chance to know what was going on, each of the 6 behind the MiG's, opened fire with two sidewinders each, one per MiG. The pilots of the MiG's would have just enough time to hear the warning bell as the missiles hit. Those 6 F/A-22's then moved towards the rest of the Air Squadron. The B2-Spirits climbed to a higher altitude, and the F/A-22's climbed with them. As they passed over the main area of the base, confusion from the MiG's being destroyed would still just be setting in, the B2's dropped two cluster bombs each, that, once they hit 500 ft. separated from the main container, and spread out across the base. The B2's and F/A-22's would then change course, and begin heading towards the ground forces.

Rear Area of Advancing Ground Forces
At the same moment the Air Squadron fired upon the MiG's, the ground attack began as well. The tanks at the rear of the force opened fire with their cannons, blowing holes in the rear flanks. At the same time, the main force split. The two arms of the crescent began attacking from the sides, and the larger, main part of the crescent attacked from behind. A portion of the main force also turned to assault the rear guards, opening fire upon them at the same time the tanks did. The tanks began pushing forward, fighting with the various forces as they did so. RPG's were fired at the allied tanks, and other vehicles in the area. The battle had begun.

Air Squadron, Approaching Ground Forces
The pilots of the 10 B2-Spirit bombers began to ready the next set of bombs, the ones intended for the ground forces. The Pilots of the F/A-22's readied to drop low and provide support with the mounted machine gun that each plane carried.

OOC: You'd need alot more than 30 C-130s because your average C-130 can only hold about 70-some men or three Abrams at any one time. Besides that they need to be dropped by coming in really low on a runway and releasing them on the go. Hate to tell you but that big a force in that small a drop is impossible. It's either a portion of the tanks and a portion of the infantry man. Also, we might just want to use e-mail or NS telegrams.

The men behidn the tanks opened fire with their Bunkerfausts and recieved a clear hit as did the others on one unfortunate tank which was bombarded with three warheads designed to take out walls of small bunkers. The soldiers scattered about from the 82nd, the 'Bloody Vixens', and the 'Raging Bears'. They opened fire with their grenade launchers, Bunkerfausts, and the occasional manually aimed triple-shot from a Starstreak.

The alert message from the airbase had been sent and now both the ten F35B Lightning IIs, one geneartion above the F-22s, along with over seventy-six other craft all took off one by one from the Gerald R. In a flurry of smoke a storm of anti-air missiles were launched from the wings of the nearest planes while a majority of the others took time to arrive, just within view and in moments: withing attack range.

((OOC: Oh common. Does it really matter that much? And yes, you can para-drop tanks. Also, the F35 is still in prototype stages...and this is an MT rp. I'm not saying they don't exist, but I doubt anyone nation would have 10. Just saying. Also, how the hell do you launch over 80 planes in such a short time, if we're going to start getting nit-picky about realism. AND keep in mind, the F-22 is THE air superiority fighter. And about the ground for area, the way I understand it, there isn't anyone behind the tanks.))

OOC: I know you can para-drop tanks but it does kind of matter since a C-130 Hercules can't even hold 100 regular soldiers and even less paratroopers or medical staff and equipment.

OOC: Listen Ursava, I just realized something. I just took a look at your economy and such with one of the trackers, and there is no way, you have THAT kind of power yet. You only have a 7 mil pop! How do you figure that you have so much advanced tech and fighters and craft, etc; Also, 1 F35, costs about 11 billion dollars, and you have a 5 billion dollar defense budget.

OOC: They were led by a dictatorship, specifically post-Soviet which generally means high taxes. What do you think a badly damaged nation would do with all that left-over cash after over-throwing the government. Rebuild their military and country of course. Besides that alot of my stuff, save for my main fighter and my main attack submarine are going be phased out in a couple of years such as the CV-90. Besides, no moderators/administrators told me it was too powerful when I submitted the thread.

((OOC: F-35s cost about 83 million. If it cost 11 billion, then the US would dump it immediately. A B-2 costs 737 million to 2.2 billion, so an F-35 costing more would be ridiculous.))

OOC: Maybe I'm looking at something else, which is possible, but either way, having a force that big, with a nation that new, is crap. I got shit for doing almost the same exact thing. From everyone.

OOC: The ground forces- even the Belakros and Ursavan ground forces headed south to link up with those outside Jacksonville- are hundreds of miles away from Hampton Roads.

Hampton Roads Naval Air Base

Whack, whack, whack! The missiles from the F-22s screamed up the tailpipes of the MiGs, sending all of them to the ground. The falling debris destroyed two MiG-17s on the ground and destroyed a small radar station. The cluster bombs rendered three of the base's eight runways useless, and destroyed one of the four air traffic control towers. Two empty hangars and an aircraft repairs hangar were destroyed, along with two of the three taxying areas on the airbase. 20mm AA guns and SAMs directed themselves at the F-22s, sending dozens of shells and a few missiles skyward... The conflict had begun, with the next wave of B-2s expected to come soon.

Rear of Forces Near Jacksonville

Within moments, the Jimzraway ground forces had killed 1200 infantrymen and had almost completely destroyed the left back flank. With no armor in the forces currently (although some was approaching), all the infantrymen could do is fire their lee-enfields at the barrels of the tanks, hoping to get a lucky shot. Armored support being directed to the region was hundreds of miles away, and the nearest armored base was over 200 miles away. The forces were in trouble.

Air Squadron, moving towards Ground Forces
The F/A-22's swerved to avoid various Anti-Air missiles, both from the ground and from the other planes. They began engaging the various other planes, but doing so out of range of the ground defenses. They were covering the B2's escape. The B2's speed off in the direction of the ground forces, 4 of the F/A-22's went with them. The rest were engaging the enemy forces. 1 of the F/A-22's had a direct hit scored on it's left wing, causing it to spiral down towards the ground. The rest of the fighters continued battling the launched fighters. The B2's rushed towards the ground forces.

Ground Forces, now battling en route to Jacksonville
The battle was not looking good for the allied forces. The Jimzrawayin forces just had too many men, in too many places, and too much firepower, to be stopped with the current force. For every one Jimzrawayin killed, 5 allied troops died as well. The tanks had stopped advancing momentarily, to finish off the rear guard. By this point, both rear flanks had been destroyed. The collective Jimzrawayin push forward, tanks and infantry, crushing everything in their sight.

B2 and F/A-22 Support craft, en route to ground forces.
The ground battle was coming into view now, the B2's began to ready their weapons. They would be hitting the "head" of the advancing forces, effectively creating a pincer type situation, with the ground forces at the back, and the bombs dropping in the front. The allied forces would soon be done, and Jacksonville would have the added defenses, of the Jimzrawyin Army.

OOC: It's all good and well, but I have only used various AA devices, and I haven't scrambled any aircraft yet. I also can't help but notice godmodding.
Jimzraway

OOC: OK, the various aircraft is in response to Ursava. The 1:5 ratio is an expression, and the Jimzrawayin forces ARE loosing men, just not as many as the allied forces. The only possible godmod is the various planes being shot down, and I'll change that.

Regarding: Unrest

Ladies and Gentlemen,

It has come to the attention of this nation that you are suffering unrest and revolt in your nation. If you wish, we can dispatch peacekeepers, who will be hopefully able to calm the situation.

Regards,
IDR Robin Eames of the IFSR

OOC:

For the record Jimzraway, all those generators which show budgets and such have, to my experience, no solid bearing on RP. You can RP shifting resources in any way you like so long as you do not try to buy something which all your economy in general couldn't support.

Now, let's all be nice to East Congaree and not spoil this, yes?

OOC: My tanks aren't invincible. At all. However, there ARE NO MEN BEHIND THE TANKS.pointing out that their armor would go in the absolute rear and the infantry would be just in front of them.

OOC: Merchant Airbase and Santee Naval Airbase are between Hampton Roads and Jacksonville, but still a few hundred miles from each.

Outside Jacksonville

East Congaree forces continued to fall back, with total casualties now in the thousands. All infantrymen focused on shooting up the barrels of tanks, ignoring the enemy ground troops swarming around them... Soon, the Urasavan and Belakros forces would be there to back up the East Congaree forces.

Santee Naval Air Base

Twelve SU-27 fighters and twelve MiG-23M fighters were scrambled to attack the F-22s. Each had four aphid air-air missiles and their own cannons.

Merchant Air Base

Eight SU-7 fighter-bombers were scrambled with their cannons only to counter the B-2s. It was figured that the B-2s would head out over sea, as to avoid hundreds of miles of opportunity from AA fire. With this, gunboats and Jiangwei class frigates on the seas were prepared to shoot down the F-22s and B-2s.

OOC: I'm sorry to say but due to OOC conflicts in the RP I am withdrawing. I'm sorry to do this but I feel it is necessary to pull out to avoid spoiling the game. If there's a chance to try this again in the future, I might go for it but for now I'm pulling out.
