"Years had passed. After the infamous suicide bomber incident, Nationalism swept CM, and with it, an extreme Xenophobia. The government bent to the people, and retreated into a shell of isolation. Time passed, how long, even we do not know. We refused to use the standard year, and the Aul is lost to memory now. As all of you know, we all lived on a tiny island in the home world at one time. What I'm about to show you is newly found documents, from the great Library, found recently, and have revealed more then we ever could imagine, in great detail, about the Migration..." *Turning to a small computer, and punching in a few numbers, a large image appears near the chalkboard...*
"Gaiun, we can't stay here any longer. Operation 'Tread lightly' has proved our worst fears. The Foreigners war is about to dive into a full out nuclear war." President Gaiun slammed his fist against the desk. "Don't those fools know what they're doing? They'll kill us all!" The aide shook his head. "I don't think we have much choice. We have to destroy the island." President Faustus sighed. "Very well. I suppose you're right. Inform the Senate I'm using the emergency dictator act, and inform them of the situation. Begin evacuations."
"This madman will have us to destroy the Island! And for what? The paranoia of nuclear warfare. This is the foreigners war! Let them deal with it. We're unknown to the world, we have interceptor missiles at everycoast, and the fleet can stop anything within a thousand miles. We're safe here! Even out birth-death rate has hit a brick wall. We could stay here for another four-thousand Aurs! They haven't a chance of harming us." Senator Caelus sat down with a smile. He had proved his point, and stopped this madness before it managed to spread. He was sure the Senate would impeach Gaiun. "The Senate recognizes Senator Vel." Senator Caelus looked up.
"What Senator Caelus says is true. The foreigners cannot harm us with Nuclear weaponry. But what about the possibility of Nuclear winter? How about our population? Sure, it's stopped, but there are still millions who cannot find enough food to eat the bare minimum. We've had to use every possible speck of land to house and feed those we can. We have no choice but to make for the stars. And then, Senator Caselus ignores something. Not even the combined might of the senate can stop the President when he initiates Emergency dictator powers. No matter what our opinions are, this will still go through. Those of you who wish to stay here and take a nice radiation shower, be my guest. For the rest of us, I'm going on the ships, and escaping this hell-hole. Even if the wormhole function doesn't work, I'd rather die in space then linger here for a slow and painful death, isolation gnawing it's way through my mind."
Looking down at the land below him, tears ran through Numerius' eyes as he watched his family leave on a boat. They left for another country, leaving behind everything, hoping for the best outcome in the foreigners war. Holding his mothers' small wooden cross in his hands, he lowered his head and said a quiet prayer before looking back up at the area around him. "Liftoff in six hours." A voice boomed over the PA system. Leaning back into the hard plastic chair, Numerius tried to close his eyes, but the tears kept him from sleep.
"I thought you knew where we would be!" President Gaiun leaned on the wall, his veins sticking out on his neck. "Sir, we didn't even know if the wormhole technology worked. We're lucky to have gotten this far. We can only search for Habitable planets at this point." Gaiun pulled out a small bottle and swallowed several pills before continuing. "The blood of the Moralites is on your hands if we fail." Gaiun muttered before limping back inside of his cabin under the artificial gravity.
As you all know what happened next, I'll elaborate a bit, because old men like myself like to ramble about such things. We managed to find noctisdivu, the planet we are on. One without light, but not without life. However, you all already know this. For the sake of the class, I'll continue. We established the city of Atrubs, now ignored and despised, despite the wealth of history in the city. It's been but fourteen years since we left the homeplanet, yet already we have established ourselves across the entire planet. Colonies on other planets. How many of you remember the journey? One, two, three, four? More then I expected. I expect a two page essay on the documents and speech I gave in fourteen standard hours...
OOC: Just CM escaping from, well, CM, and heading into FT. Any contact would be greatly appreciated, and no huge fleets please. Moralites are still recovering from the technology stunt they received back when they were in isloation on Earth, so their weapons will be MT until I make up some more weapons/buy them from one of you fine fellows.

A small Greywatch vessel pulled out of PSR into yet another new system. It began scanning. Some planets, possibly habitable; some asteroids, possibly some useful minerals; some signs of possible life, that was... unepected. The ship moved closer to where it detected what seemed like the reading of intelligent life, very faded but still there. Most other ships would pass over it, it got to the planet and then began orbiting. A message was being prepared.

"Strange... We seem to have an asteroid of some sort...." The astronomer adjusted the telescope through the computer. Furrowing his eyebrow, his eyes were suddenly filled with fear. "Christ! It's some sort of spacecraft! Mark! Tell the Senate! Wire them, buy a horse, just do it! Quickly!" Marcus shook his head. "Tony, are you drunk again? Or are you on something else this time?" Peering through the telescope, Marcus shook his head calmly. "You're right Tony. It's some sort of spacecraft, far more advanced than ours." On the outside, his demeanor was calm and collected, but on the inside, his thoughts were scattered and panicking. Walking over to the supercomputer, his hands shaking, he typed a message to the Senate.
Emergency message to the Senate, respond immediatly, unknown objects spotted near Concuxis, may be advanced spacecraft, respond immediately.
Senator Vel shook his head. If it wasn't just an asteroid, what could they do? They weren't equipped for any sort of space combat. If it was an asteroid, there wasn't anything to worry about. In any case, all they could do was wait. "This is lunacy! Our astronomers high on seven types of drugs! We're the only ones out here!"
"Shush Caelus, you were wrong once, you can be wrong again. We're monitoring all radio signals in case they try to contact us." Caelus shook his head in disgust before muttering "Asteroids can't talk dumbass."

A message was sent to the Greywatch Council as several scans were done. Two officers talked on the bridge. "Definately IL. Not as advanced but it's there." The other one looked over, "No forms of AOWs... least we don't have to worry about being shot down..." The other one looked to the captain, "Ma'am, shall we use comms." The Leanorian looked back, "Please do... but I doubt that they'll be able to pick up our frequencies... go through Greywatch databanks and try to form one of those old signals your species used at some point." The officers rolled their eyes, Leanorians may have been decendants of the Elden like they were, but their tech levels were completely different. They took about an hour to modify the comms system before sending a message.

Strange signals were a common sight to the Federation, space was a strange place, full of exploding suns, black holes, and strange galactic phenomena. However, the constant and changing radio signals from the Altharis system continued to bother the Federation higher ups, so a frigate was detailed to investigate and find out what was going on. So it was that the TFS Horizon arrived in the Altharis system, to enter into a contact it had not yet experienced yet....
The Captain, Jessica Smith, sat in her chair and watched as the ship came out of the wormhole, sending bursts of energy and squealing radio signals to everyone in sight. Once the massive burst of energy was finished and the wormhole closed, the frigate powered up the sensors and began to scan the system, under the control of the ship A.I., Gaia. What she saw floored her. There was a civilization in this system, over several worlds! They didn't have an energy output equal to a normal FTL nation, so she hypothesized they were still in a modern technology era. That was amazing that they managed to make it into space with only modern technology. She also noticed an object on one of the planets, the one with the most life in fact. The power signature read a normal FTL spaceship. She was puzzled was that theirs? If so, why only one? With the information she had, she had to assume it was from another nation.
"Captain." Jessica closed her eyes as she answered the affinity call.
"Yes, Gaia."
The A.I. sent her the data. "We are detecting a modern tech civilization somehow colonizing several worlds, and an unknown space ship orbiting one of their worlds."
Jessica smiled. "Well then, let's break out the first contact scenarios. Open two separate channels, one to the planet, and the other to the ship. Have the planet one be a radio one, I doubt they have more advanced frequencies at this point."
The A.I. nodded and ended the link. Two channels were opened and sent as the frigate began to make its way to the most populated world in the system.
To unknown ship, This is the TFS Horizon here on a exploring mission after receiving radio transmissions. Who are you and why are you here?
Greetings. This is the TFS Horizon of the Federation of Telros. We have arrived in your system due to your radio transmissions and notice this is your space. We would like to open dialogues and begin diplomatic relations as soon as is best for you.

"Sir, I have another coming in, clear as crystal." Turning up the receiver as loud as it would go, the message echoed throughout the senatorial chamber. "I'll send this one." Senator Gaius announced loudly and with confidence.
This is Moralite Senator Gaius, we are ready to discuss situation and diplomatic channels as soon as you can send an emissary.
<We could very easily ask the same of you. We are here on our own private business, exploration to be exact. We're not here for trouble and would hope that you're not going to start any. Scan us if you wish, you'll not find anything threatening.>
The A.I. sighed and then replied. "We do not intend to start any trouble. We did what any sane ship would do, ask what a FTL worthy ship was doing in system. You never know if you are part of some crazy nation thats out to kill everything. There are some out there, so we can't be careful. Scanning is not needed, you have peaceful intentions. As I stated before, this is the TFS Horizon, investigating radio signals. I am from the Federation of Telros."
She turned and saw the next message, which was from the planet. Turning, she looked at the captain and sent it to his nanonics. He glanced it over and nodded. She sent orders for a shuttle to be prepared and an escort readied. She turned to the message.
Excellent. We ask where a good place to land would be. Your civilization is much different, not having much in the way of spaceports, so we are unsure on where to land.

The A.I. received the Moralian message and nodded.
"That is fine, our sensors will be able to pick it up. Thank you. They will be down shortly, so you can conserve money."
She sent the information to the Captain, who acknowledge and the shuttle then proceeded to go into the planet's atmosphere. A bright light would show up as they hurtled through the air, flames rushing around the shielding. Eventually they broke through, and thruster calmed their descent until they had control. Then, they locked onto the light source and came down, their lights on for everyone to see the shuttle. It smoothly landed and extended a ramp down. Two armored soldiers came down holding rifles, although they held them down so as not to upset anyone, and the captain came down, looking around. The two soldiers had lights activated, so they could see the welcoming committee.

-OOC-
Speaking of crazy nations out to kill everything, taking a break from my reintro post to welcome the newbie. ^_^
A Darkship might technically be a violation of the huge fleets rule despite its singular existance, though. Ask Telros. But they're the only Hegemony vessels I have that aren't Zircon, which are usually incapable of real diplomacy.
All translations for the Mekantan language follow it, possibly with notes.
-IC-
The point to point FTL jumps of Mekantan vessels weren't designed with subtlety in mind. Between massive gravitational disturbances, massive amounts of heat and radiation, and a firey light visible for AUs, the Mekantans didn't seem to care about who saw them.
As the massive black-hulled form of one of the Galactic Hegemony's signature Darkships emerged into Truespace, excess energy crackled between the wicked-looking curved spines that extended from the warship. Crimson patterns pulsed along the hull a few more times before fading, the Darkship's transpace drive slowly cooling down. Its active scanners, however, became another beacon to illuminate the massive warship. All manner of scans, noticable and silent, swept through the system, identifying all it could.
The Darkships had a mantra, stating what it meant to be a Darkship. "Khiinae'ezat'zjeseth sah Khiinae'zatih'zjeseth sah Khiinae'koraltih'zjeseth." ("Omniscience, Omnipotence, Malevolence." or "Awareness, Power, and Destruction")
This particular darkship was called Teieth'ta Eithys, or the Violent Gale, which was rather unimportant save the fact that the Violent Gale's captain was one Isos math Kiren, one of the laziest (and thus fairly peaceful) Mekantans in the Hegemony military.
Isos was napping in the command throne of his warship when the Violent Gale punched through the fabric of spacetime, expecting another easy round of scanning a system, finding no lifebearing worlds, and not having to enslave or destroy anyone. He was, therefore, displeased when the Violent Gale alerted him to the presence of other vessels and inhabitants of the system's worlds.
"Voryash'matol'kir'tih'jhii. Ezoruth'tih. Telros'ze'yaxal'za. Kyanyah'ze'yaxal'za. Kyanyah'ze'hyeth'za." ("Jump complete. Scanning Telrosian vessel. Unknown vessel. Unknown organization.") The Darkship's booming omnivoice caused Isos to stir, slowly opening one sapphire eye to glare at the blank black walls of his command chamber.
"Ryah'kyah'tih, ("Shut up,") the Mekantan growled, "Tyh'za gah'tinzth!" ("I hate you!")
"Za." ("Noted.")
Isos slowly sat up, growling as he nodded. "Voryash'ryah'tih." ("Transmit.")
"Tza'to." ("Affermative.") The Darkship readied its translation protocols, knowing these other entities wouldn't know Mekantan, and the English of most Mekantan officers varies between atrocious and non-existant.
The following was broadcast throughout the system.
Attention lesser beings. This is the Galactic Hegemony Darkship Violent Gale, under the command of Lord Isos math Kiren. "That would be it." The diplomat said, "Shall we procede inside and continue talks in there?" The diplomat smiled behind his helmet.

The Violent Gale began approaching the planet, the warship actively scanning the two unknown vessels, paying particular attention to the larger of the two. It was much, much smaller than the Violent Gale and likely posed little threat, but the Darkship would take any chance it could to destroy something.
Isos, however, much preferred not having to make after action reports. They asked for far more detail than peaceful contact reports, and while like all Mekantans he loved the thrill of battle reveled in destruction, he disliked extra work moreso.
While the small unknown vessels were being watched intently for any reason to bring the overwhelming weaponry of the Darkship to bear, the Violent Gale translated another message for the primative world.

The Senators quickly became unruly, shouting threats, unheard by the Mekantans, of course, because some of the more level-headed senators turned the transmitter off. "We still have several nukes left! I say we blow them out of the sky!"
"Wormhole them into a star!"
"Calm down! We ca't take any chances! They have the power to blow us all to kingdom come, and I say we lay low until we have the power to defend ourselves!"
These matters are not related gracious ones. We humbly accept your offer of trade.
The senators were practically rioting at this point, shouting for blood.

The new ships didn't escape the Violent Gale's notice for very long. After all, it was frequently tasked with hunting down and capturing or erasing from existance ships far smaller and built with stealth in mind. It simply regarded the trio of vessels and alerted Isos of its presence, making ready to translate the inevitable warning Isos would issue.
The message to the unidentified trio, and to the other two unidentified ships, was simple.
Feeble lesser beings! This is the Darkship Violent Gale, of the Galactic Hegemony of Neo-Mekanta. By orders of Lord Isos math Kiren, commander of this vessel, we are here peacefully, and will not oblitorate those who give him no reason to. Silence is suspicious. Suspicion shall result in your demise. Speak with us as gentlemen, foolish lesser beings, or perish.
It never occured to most Mekantans that "talk to us or we'll kill you" is bad diplomacy. Many did, however, know that thier diet is rather disturbing to many other sentient races. Those among thier allies that learn often find those alliances strained by Mekantan attempts to share thier culture, knowing quite well how distasteful it was to them.
Thus is was not through diplomatic ineptitude, but rather malice that Isos made his next move, one the Violent Gale approved of greatly. Another message was sent back to the Moralites.
Your colony being so dark, if it is not limited by technology, must be a love of the dark, or limited power, we presume? Matters for another time. If we are to begin trade negotiations, I must insist on a tradition of my people of sharing a meal before talking of an agreement. How do you wish your food and chefs delivered?

Encrypted message to Kewen ships:
<It is indeed nice to see friends out here. I'm assuming you're here for investigation as well. Anyway, don't worry about this ship here, just another race on an ego trip if you know what I mean... I doubt they'll be too much of a problem.>
Then the captain scowled to the other ship, "These motherfuckers... As bad as New Heaven." And officer looked up, "Well at leat they don't appear to be religious zealots...." The captain nodded, "That is a good point, open a channel."
Open message to large unknown ship:
<We're not trying to be threatening, we just don't feel that you have any words worth our time. Know this, we're not here to start a battle and I wish to keep it that way. Now then, if you're ready to stop bragging about how good you are, I'd like to return to my job. I'm not gonna bother you so don't bother me. Over and out.>

Oh, the "Don't let the Mekantans hear that" is sort of a joke. I mean, it'll piss 'em off, but they're Mekantans. They aren't really that much more dangerous than normal when pissed off. So go right ahead. Heck, I think I'll give you a good reason in the interest of making the diplomatic environment a bit more tense. I assume you're within 3.7 AU of the planet?
Note: Isos and the Violent Gale are operating under the assumption your nation consists of humans. Not sure if it's correct, but it's standard operating proceedure. I also noticed I've been forgetting my quote tags... Gah, I'm too out of practice.
-IC-
Isos didn't bother hiding his irritation. "Doe'hyuma'ta gah'nlya'za..." ("That stupid human..." or "This human is stupid...") He glared at one of the blank walls of the rounded chamber, a simple mental command telling the Violent Gale to project a holographic screen displaying the two ships of this exceedingly foolish entity. "Nlyakalax! Doe'yaxal'ta vaeryx'thassa'tih!" ("Shipmind! Fire a warning shot at that ship!")
"Tza'to." ("Affermative.")
Darkships, lacking any external weapon mounts or much in the way of building power, never give any indication they're preparing to attack until after they've fired. Such was the case when a single energy blast from one of the Darkship's cannons, easily measurable in in the hundreds of zettajoules/teratons range, suddenly formed just past the Darkship's armor and streaked toward the ships of a lesser race that dared speak in such a way to a Mekantan.
The shot was, of course, aimed a good half kilometer away from the larger Greywatch vessel, and as long as they remained in one place, the shot would remain a warning shot.
The Darkship, immediately after firing, broadcast another message, not bothering to direct it solely at the target.
We too seek peaceful discourse, but warn you to watch your tone toward your betters, Lesser scum. It is by Lord Isos math Kiren's mercy that you do not die where you stand. A less benevolent lord would have you dead and your race hunted down, and enslaved or exterminated for less.

Reply to greywatch only.
"Ah, another ego, it is not matter they are only a breif spark in our lifespans, they will not be noticed" he replied smartly the Three Kewen ships unsheated their massive cannons but did not charge them, instead power was being stored so that in a energency they all could fire at 50%, that being the case only a very minute energy build up could be detected.

Isos smiled maliciously as the other unknown force responded, a single hand-gesture telling the Violent Gale to open communications. The Darkship could tell that the Mekantan commander's laziness was starting to evaporate in the face of conflict.
Ah, the other lessers know how to speak proudly! Closest thing to a god, you claim? The Hegemony has its own goddess. We kill other gods. A tiny stain on the cosmos like you would be no issue to crush like the insects you are. OOC: Sort of.... They were originally Roman, but they've had a few influences, and have changed quite a bit through time. Gladiatorial combat was destroyed around the time of the invention of Moralite gunpowder (800 AD). Also, you've wounded the Senates pride. You DON'T wound a moralites pride! They don't care if you insult their government, even the Senators wouldn't care about that. But as soon as you insult CM, or even Moralites as a whole, you're screwed. It might take entire centuries, but they WILL get you.
The Senate were all booing and jeering when they heard the transmission come through. "Eat with them after they've called us lesser beings? Are we to kneel to them and eat their scraps, as beaten dogs to a cruel master?"
"Quiet! We haven't any choice. This master will soon find out that a beaten dog can more vicious then they ever imagined."
We would honored to eat with you. We will light an area for the food and chefs to land at.

The starfighter started its decent on the land (OOC: I presume your on a planet and he doesn't know where he is.) as the hyper-drive was badly damaged during the last jump he made. His eyes darted around as he landed the jet safely on the ground as he opened the cockpit shield and turned back to the radio.
"I've got the equipment to repair my ship. I just require a place to land for the time being and is it possible I could met someone face to face?" replied Hybrid.

OOC:Yeah, we're on a planet. Beware though, this is the equivalent of summertime, and the temperature is 2 degrees Celsius, not to mention the entire planet is in near-total darkness. The whole place is mostly barren, Moralite buildings excepted, so you shouldn't have a problem finding a place to land.
We'll try. Find somewhere to land and broadcast a signal. We'll send a HAWC to meet you.

The power-armored chefs just smirked, unseen benieth thier helmets. At least the shape of thier power armor demonstrated that they were humanoid. The Hegemony suspected even some of thier allies thought they were some xenomorphic monsters covered in tentacles, mouths, and the entrails of their last meals.
They watched the Moralites carefully, one of the chefs stepping forward. "Being of not trying anything, yes?" A woman's voice came out in English, her grammar atrocious. She pointed up, jerking her head in that direction quickly. "To having much bigger of guns in above planet, nlya? 'Nlya' is meaning of understand. You are of understanding?"
She pointed at herself, then the other three chefs.
"Of firing at here..." she pointed up, nodding, "... of firing from up there..." her finger moved toward the ground as she shook her head, "... of cooking of planet and killing of everything..."
She waited a moment to see if the Moralites could follow her broken english.
"... But of not wanting to be doing. Of wanting to share culture of Mekantans with great-being and noble-being guest, nlya?" She laughed a bit, an honest, genuine laugh. "Of food to make of worth. Of eating Mekantan food, to be more Mekantan, nlya? Food is being of universal peace, yes?" She clapped her hands together, nodding. "Of where to be place of leadership?"

Ciscilians were avid learners, they were also bordering on isolationist and xenophobic in their polocies, but if there was one thing that enabled them to ovecome these issues it was their drive for knowledge. Ciscilian exploration vessels spread out across the galaxy, far from the borders of their Empire, searching, searching for anything and everything.
At this moment in time one of the Ciscilian vessels dropped out of slip-space, opening a shining white hole in the fabric of space and time before slipping out into reality. The ship looked, appeared and indeed was an asteroid, albeit one with engine pods protuding from the back. It was oblong and cratered, antennea and communication arrays were scattered across it's surface, whilst five engine pods stuck out from the back. It wasn't a pretty sight.
The ship had barely been in-system for ten seconds when the sensors began picking up a substantial amount of comm traffic and various artificial technological items in the system. One of the Ciscilians in the comm room lept for the broadcasting tool and sent a message to everyone in system:
"Greetings! This is the Exploration 87 of the Ciscilian Inquisition. I bid welcome to you all in the search for knowledge and science!"
The ship meanwhile began processing and storing the various sensor readins it was receiving.

A large hulking mechanical monster began to emerge from the total darkness. Bipedal, and with two large multi-purpose guns at it's side, the cockpit flipped open. A man wearing a exoskeliton that covered his entire body quickly tore off a few cables from it, and climbed out. Walking over towards the ship, he shouted "This is moralite pilot Caesar! "Yes, I need a better place to go and repair my starfighter. Tell me is it always night time here?" asked Hybrid. "Or is it something else?"

But why would you need a better place to repair it? You've plenty of workspace, and it's not like we have any advanced tools."

Greetings, lesser beings. This is the Violent Gale of the Galactic Hegemony of Neo-Mekanta. If you seek knowlage to become less insignificant through education, we would be glad to aid you.
Down on the surface, things were much more tense.
The female chef's grin turned twisted inside her helmet. A brief telepathic burst flashed between her and the other chefs, two of which promply raised their hands as rifles flashed into being, weapons instantly levelled at the Moralites. The other went back to the slaves, taking a female human, easily no more than twenty, from the drones and dragging her into easy view of the Moralites.
"It is being of pity... To want to make friends and be of trading partners..." The female chef's voice held strong sad tones, but a careful ear could hear that it was faked.
Behind her, the female slave suddenly perked up and began screaming, earning her an electric jolt from the chef holding her. The terran woman twitched and cried as he sustained the flow, laughing, before releasing her and letting her go limp.
"To wonder how much of wanting peaceful discourse you are being..."
The girl suddenly perked up again, but refrained from screaming or struggling. She just stood there, shivering in the frigid cold, trembling with absolute terror. The chef holding her just chuckled, holding his hand at her shoulder and holding out two fingers, a bright flash engulfing them and creating a blade.
"Of sharing a meal to be a very important diplomatic proceedure..."
The Terran woman's breathing got deeper as she began crying, silently whispering a prayer. The reason became clear as a slow trail of blood inched its way down her chest, and between her breasts. There was a single claw at the edge of her throat, the tip having pierced flesh right over her jugular vein.
"... But of more important matter... to be asking of which is more important to you... Your gods... or your people...
The Terran seemed to go limp again, the poison in the Mekantan's blade, a synthetic varient of a noble Mekantan male's natural venom, quickly taking effect and rendering the victim unable to move. It was then that the chef prepared to go to his horrible work, on the ground, in the frigid cold.
Quickly, hoarse screams began to erupt, one of the few muscles that was still somewhat under the woman's control. It was no work of a butcher, it was the work of a torturer...
The second horrifying truth came to light.
Mekantan food always suffered first.
The female chef just extended her hand to the Moralites. "... To have choice... To eat and being of stand beside us... Or to refuse..." She moved her hand, gesturing to the slaves, "... and being of standing behind us..."

If they fire again we'll return it back to 'em." The tactical officer nodded and began working. The another transmssion was put through,
<You people must be tactical retards or something.... obviously you would fire on someone before knowing what they can do in return. Amazing your race has even survived this long. Oh well, that could always change very easily you xenophobic wastes.>
The tactical officer nodded, "It's up sir. If a weapon gets near us the rift will open in far less than a second."
On the ground, the diplomat and the guard followed the Senator inside the structure.
The larger Greywatch ship began performing scans as the new forces arrived. One of which was familiar, "Sir!" Said the tactical officer, "Look at those ships. (USU's ship) We've seen them before, they're in the databanks. Apparently we're having diplomatic talks with that race."
OOC: CM, I woke up today to see three pages since I last posted. That's quite a lot of catching up to do.

The Telrosians had been happy to discover this civilization and all its opportunities. A new contact with a nation known as Greywatch, a new civilization to help grow and get plenty of trade with. It was the perfect situation in the eyes of the Telrosians and the Ship A.I. Gaia. However, reality soon kicked down the door of their happiness and said "What's up, biatch?" when the Mekantans arrived. Gaia had glanced at the data coming in about an FTL ripple and then she had frozen, much as had the bridge crew, at the sight of a Mekantan Darkship.
fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck. She sent a desperate message to the Captain, whom had started to follow Sextus when she paused in midstep, her face full of horror as the datavise hit her nanonics with the force of a slap to the face. The Mekantans were here....No, anyone but them. She took a deep breath and let it out. She sent a message back to Gaia, telling her to make a careful and polite message to the Mekantans, as well as beaming a warning to all ships and civilizations in sight. She didn't care if it was secure, in fact, don't have it secure. It' please the Mekantans, whom could wipe out every ship here and then raze the entire system with their Darkship. Gaia nodded and began to get working.
The Captain turned to Sextus and continued to walk after him. As she did so, she watched as Gaia sent out the messages.
To Mekantan Darkship Violent Gale. Greeting from the Telrosian Federation, and the frigate TFS Horizon. I am Gaia. Should you require anything from us, I will do my best to see if I can get it.
"To all ships and spacefaring nations in the area. Do NOT attempt to attack, anger, or fuck with the Mekantans. I REPEAT, DO NOT attempt to attack, anger or fuck with the Mekantans. The Darkship they have here is legendary in the ESUS as much as full scale plagues are legendary. Do not mess with them, and you'll be okay. We may sound like cowards, but trust me we've seen what their ships can do."
The A.I. sat back and did a diagnostic check, her version of a nervous sigh. She watched as the Captain walked with Sextus, and she monitored the various messages sent back and forth, as well as the arrival of three more spacefaring ships from different nations. She sent the same message about the Mekantans to them, but watched as the Greywatch and the Kewen insult the Mekantans. Her mind froze for a second when the Darkship fired but it was merely a warning shot. They really needed to not mess with a ship that massed like the Darkship, not to mention the Hegemony could easily crush the Federation with its fleet, not to mention anyone here.
Trouble came when she intercepted the exchange about Mekantans eating with them. She frantically called the Captain on the affinity channel.
Captain!"
Yes, what is it Gaia?
The Moralites have accepted a dinner offer with the Mekantans!
She could sense the captains horror and fright. "Oh sweet mother of mary....Alright, prepare the ship for evacuation, in case the Mekantans decide to bombard the planet. I will go attempt to head off the damage."
The Captain turned to Sextus. "I am sorry, Senator, but a situation with the Mekantans has come up on your planet and I have to go defuse it." She ran back into the shuttle, with the two HYDRA soldiers following her, and powered it up. As she was lifting off, she could hear see the sensors registering weapons fire over where the Mekantans had landed. "Fuck!" She turned the engines on as high as they would go and blasted towards the site. As the soldiers of the Moralites died and the Senator returned fire, a loud screeching would be heard. The shuttle screamed in, with controlling jets firing off like machine guns and managed to land between them. The ramp came down and the two HYDRA soldiers ran over to the Senator forming a shield in front of him.
The Captain jumped out and looked at the Mekantans. "Alright. Captain Jessica Smith of the Federation frigate Horizon. What the fuck is going on here?"

Around the Senatorial hall, several large machines of war prowled around, bipedal, like the one that came to help hybrid. Hundreds of men patroled the halls as they went in. When Gaius opened the twin doors, a sight that would be almost certainly surprising for the Greywatch diplomat to see. The whole senate was fighting. Not bandying words, but rather in an all out fistfight. Gaius sighed and turned to the Greywatch men. "I'm sorry you had to see this, it is rather embarrassing. I would like to apologize on the behalf of the rest of the Senate. Things like this happen." At that, Gaius turned and sat down, secretly disappointed that he knew not what the senate was fighting about, and therefore could not take sides.

The A.I. sat back and did a diagnostic check, her version of a nervous sigh.
In the hubub, Senator Aurelius slipped away into the darkness. One of the downed moralite soldiers begn to move, despite the huge burns on his skin and armor...

(OOC: Do you want me to do anything with that Greywatch? Relating to the talks we are ahving somewhere else in the galaxy my poepl here aren't in a position to know. I've got hive minded Klikiss on board but the odds that they belong to the same hive as the one on Palleons ship is non-existant.
P.S. The ship here looks nothing like the military vessles i've used. Not that it matters, you're a cleve race :P you can always pick up the info other ways. Speech ect blah blah.)
OOC: That's fine, I have FTL comms remember? If need be my ship can just send you a report about what's happening at the conference. At the moment they're just glad to see someone they recognize and trust.
The diplomat smiled behind his helmat, "No, it's fine. I understand this happens at times... I've actually seen worse."

Kathan picked up the Telrosians message,
"To all ships and spacefaring nations in the area.
The laughter in the vessel died down, an Alien Documentist named Garin went and stood next to Kathan,
"You think we've found a hostile race?"
Kathan nodded slowly,
"I... think it's safe to say we have... errrr.... protocol Garin?" Garin nodded vigorously,
"Clarify."
Kathan broadcasted a message to the Telrosians,
"This is the Exploration Vessel of the Ciscilian Empire. Following standard protocol we are required to investigate the nature of this Mekantan race. Are they hostile to races in general? Prepared to initiate hostilities without a single thought? This informaiton would be useful."
He then broadcasted a seperate message to the Mekanta,
"We wish to inquire as to your intentions in this system, more specifically are you hostile? Thank you."
The air was tense as they awaited a response.

The Senate slowly began to calm down, a few senators at a time returning to their seats before noticing the Greywatch diplomat and greeting him. In only a few minutes, the only two senators left fighting were pulled apart forcibly to prevent any serious harm. "Hail diplomat from afar. You are the Greywatch Emissary, no?"

Kathan's computer beeped as it picked up a new message, he played it over the speakers,
"Well, it's a suprise to see your race in this neck of the woods... What brings you to this system, friend?"
Kathan and Garin shared a look, as did the rest of the ships occupants,
"Do we know them?"
"I don't think so, compare the ship details to the database."
A technician ran a few diagnostics,
"Nothing."
"How about a Klikiss?" he suggessted as a long shot, he turned towards one of the Klikiss worker-drones that had come with them, 4 foot high with a glistening black carpace it was split into three sections, it's sheild like head with seven red eyes, it's immensly large elongated baody section around 5 foot long and it's dome like base which had six stumpy legs. It lumbered towards one of the display and focused on the image, it used sign language to simply say No
"Dam... Fine, we'll ask them."
Message to unidentified (Greywatch) vessel,
"Greetings, i'm afraid we cannot match your craft to any of our database descriptions, if you would perhaps like to inform us of yourself... it wold be much appreciated."

The captain looked back at her officers, "What do you make of that?" The officer shook their heads, the comms officer looked to a woman who was busy on their console. "What can you find?" He said, she looked up. "They might not have a system off FTL comms... or they might not be following our protocols... I'm not sure." The captain shook his head, "Just get me somethig to show them." The female officer nodded, "Here sir." A transmission was sent back. It displayed the planet which the talks were being held at and the ships hanging in orbit.
<As you can see from these images, we're come accross your kind before. We are currently in a meeting with one of your own and a creature that I believe was labled as a 'Day-leck,' as well as two other races... there was aparently an attack on that world... we don't have too many of the details, sorry.>

Kathan received the images and messages,
"By Ciscillia look at that" he stared at the Ciscilian Battle Group stationed above the planet, the sleek silvery shapes were instantly recognizable, "and they even mentioned the Daleks, wrong pronounciation to be sure but they most diffinantly said Dalek."
Garin nodded,
"Well, if we are engaged in talks with them it must be good."
"Obviously, or else the planet would be glowing red hot right now instead of covered in grass." Garin chuckled,
"That is true. Send them a message then."
Kathan broadcasted to the Greywatch ship,
"Those are most definatly war ships of the Ciscilian Empire. And there is indeed a member of our Empire known as Daleks, we have one on board along with others, What informaiton do you have on the meeting? But that besides, do you know what is going on on that planet?"
The messages from the Greywatch and the USU ships filled Gaia with sadness. She hated to do this, but if they wanted to know about the Mekantans, she would tell them. She preferred the Federation be one of the few whom understood the extent of their power, but they had asked. Sighing, she opened up channels to both of them.
Greywatch:
No, you have not dealt with ones such as the Mekantans. To tell you everything that they are is not possible, it would take approximately two months, non-stop, to tell you everything so you would fully understand. But we will give you the best summary we can. You want to know what tactical info we have on the Darkship class in case a fight breaks out. Well here it is.
The Darkship is an incredible piece of Mekantan engineering. It was designed the same way our Battleships are designed, to be able to fight entire fleets of starships and/or Kanuckistani battleplates, which I will also say do not fuck with the Kanuckistani. Their battleplates are gods amongst men in ship classes.
Anyways, their weapons systems are so powerful they can easily destroy an entire star system. Within minutes. It is able to negate gravity about it, making gravity based weaponry useless, and it is nearly indestructible since it was made to take on powerful or large amounts of ships and even deal with planet destroyer weaponry. We've seen it take multiple planet destroying-class weapons and not die. It has an interdiction field with blocks most FTL and collapses wormholes and other spatial rifts, they can bruteforce through FTLi if they are already in the field, and have strong psychokinesis that are on par with weapons systems. Also, I doubt she is on this Darkship, so we are lucky, but their goddess/super weapon Minagoroshi is also on Darkships.
Minagoroshi is essentially an organic version of a nanite superweapon. She is able to consume entire systems with her massive form, the nanites, and make any kind of weapon or ship she knows about out of the matter she consumes, making her able to have more firepower and strength than a Darkship.
Essentially, in this situation, do.not.mess.with.the.Darkship. Or the Mekantans. They are very powerful and nigh unstoppable. Diplomacy is key here, not firepower.
To USU:
Yes and no. They are highly aggressive, but they do not engage without a single thought. That thought usually is "Eat Greet Meet." Focus on not angering them and you will be alright."

He sighed, he broadcasted a quick message back,
"I'm handign you over to anoteh roperator. Please bear with me."
He turned his chair round and switched of his communications console, at the back of the communications room was a Dalek, he gestured towards it,
"Take control"
The Dalek rolled across the room to a console and plugged itself in, it broadcsated a message to the Telros, it's computer generated screeching tones searing through the micro phone,
"I AM A DALEK! I AM INQUIRING INTO THE NATURE OF THIS MEKANTA RACE! YOU WILL CONFIRM MY QUESTION! IS THIS RACE HOSTILE TO OTHER RACES! HAS IT INITIATED WARS AGAINST OTHER SPECIES IN UNFAIR CIRCUMSTANCES? IS IT AGGRESSIVLY INCLINED? ANSWER AND CONFIRM! I AWAIT YOU RRESPONSE!"

The captain listened to the Telrosian (did I get that right?) explanation and smiled, "So if we wanted a chance we'd need Worldslayers.... Well then, let's not press our luck too much." An encrypted message was sent back:
<Hmm, interesting. So they hide behind those ships and expect no damage to come to them? Very interesting. We will deal with that matter if the time comes. I would love to see another egotistical race slam itself into the ground due to stupidity. But we'll heed your warnings for the moment.>
Then a message was sent to the Ciscilian ship.
<Here's what we know, in a nutshell. The race that habits this planet was attacked by some other race, your boys came in, identified both as hostile and began taking on both sides. Then another race came in to break up the fight, they identified who was attacking and who was defending... The defenders won and the attacker retreated to their world. Now, there is a meeting going on about what should be done next. Sorry if that's messy but like I said, in a nutshell.>

Kathan spun round and switched on his comm relay, this was his department again,
"Your explanation sounds remarkably fitting, although i fail to see how negotiations are taking place [silence] if our forces identified both as hostile then why are they not extragalactic dust right about now? Aside from that, thank you. What do you know of this Mekanta race? A small ship took off from Noctivdivu, heading straight for the closest star...
"Christ, they must be insane!" Lucius paced back and forth on the ship. "But which one of us is crazier? The senator who ordered the mission, or the ones who volunteered?" Gaiun leaned back in his chair. "Death is a natural part of life, and what is two deaths for the lives of many?" Lucius shook his head. "I know, I know. My life for the Island." Lucius pushed the ship as close to the star as it would allow. "They really think they've got us beat, don't they? The huge ship, the insults, everything. They'll soon see just how primitive we are..." Lucius tapped a few buttons and waited for the 'signal deployed' light to come on. "Back at the homeplanet, I don't think we'd ever be able to find a metal like this." Gaiun shifted nervously. "I'm still convinced it'll work." He said nervously. He knew that if this failed, CM was at the mercy of those "Mekantans" "The signal is still coming out. Try to get it to the center." Gaiun snapped "I'm trying, alright?" The beacon drifted towards the center of the star, and suddenly stopped. "We got it." Sighing, Lucius wiped a handkerchief over his forehead. "We don't have time to just wait here! We don't know how long the beacon will hold up in there."
"Right-o" The ship rapidly headed towards the Mekantan ship, unarmed and broadcasting a surrender signal...
Gaia winced and replied back with a stern and firm voice to the Ciscillian Dalek. "If you do not cease screaming into the microphone, I will shut off the channel and not speak to you. Are we clear on this? To answer your questions, yes, yes, and yes. And they will crush you if you mess with them, so again, do not anger. Please, I'd rather not have the thought of your deaths on my mind, thank you."

The Greywatch vessel promptly sent an encrypted message back to the Ciscilians:
<Hell if I know, perhaps the fact that your protocol could have landed your ship in a three-on-one frenzy? However, I do believe from some of the information recieved that one of our Drones had an arguement about this protocol. We don't have the recording yet but when we get we'll be sure to send it to you. As to this other race here... we don't know much about them other than that the Telrosians are scared of them and then some. Apparently the Mekanta ships have resistance tomultiple kinds of weapons... this is a first contact so we don't know much else than that. Oh, they also have some goddess/bio-weapon which is apparently able to consume star-systems or something along those lines.>

The Ciscilian Exploraiton Asteroid registered the small ships departure from the planet, they registered the signal,

He cursed, so did everone else,
"If that's what the Klikiss thinks it is..." Garin spun round and yelled at the navigation pilot, "Figure out the axis between the beacon and that ship!!! And once you do get us safely out of the same axis points!!! The Klikiss thinks they're deploying something similar to a Klikiss torch, and if that's true well be screwed!!!"

Senator Numerius began to prattle off numbers and specifications using old Moralite measurements, gibberish to any who had not taken a class in pre-travel Moralite Latin, or wasn't over eighty.

As the Kewen ships fired, the Violent Gale couldn't help but be amused as its barriers intercepted the beam. It certaily wasn't as pathetic an attack as some the Mekantans had faced, but it wasn't anything too special.
The Darkship's attention was focused more on the Moralite vessel, which was using the most obvious "please don't destroy us we want to get close to you so we can pull something" tactics the Mekantans know. It was curiousity that stayed the Darkship's hand, both the shipmind and its master curious what the primatives could be planning.
When the Darkship's dimensional sensors detected a wormhole forming, its FTLi and spacial lock fields dropped, so strong was the monolithic warship's curiousity that it abandoned some of its defenses to see where the Moralites were going with this.
When the Darkship emerged into the star, however, curiousity turned to annoyance.
Compared to the mass, energy, and raditation of a star, the massive energy emitted from a Darkship in standby mode is virtually unnoticable. To sensors throughout the system, it would appear the Darkship was no more.
Deep within the star, Isos, the Violent Gale, and the crew of the massive warship knew better.
The question was a simple one: Emerge and destroy everyone... or destroy the star first?

Don't worry, the destroy the star mention is just a little narrative spin. I have something that's much more of an in-character "oh shit" planned.
I'm also planning on the Violent Gale losing this encounter and having to withdraw. My contingency plan is still possible to do that, with a little boost thanks to how Telros operates and the comment USU made about exterminating the Mekantans.
Oh, and Kewen, are you a puppet of another nation? Just curious.
Also, there are more factors than just "inside star" to consider. These things rip stars to pieces.

The Violent Gale, like all Darkships, was designed to survive and fight in the most intense environments the Mekantans knew. Its negation of gravity, its metareinforced hull, its powerful psionics, its energy manipulation abilities... Every system that made up a Darkship was designed to make it the most deadly force in the known universe.
As the black-hulled warship sat in the center of the massive fusion reactor, surrounded by its barriers in a telekinetically generated "pocket" of empty space. There it sat, well within its environmental tolorances, the Moralite probe pulled up next to it.
It wanted the probe to transmit data about the pocket.
It wanted the Moralites to know it still lived.
It wanted them to know terror.
And there, inside Concuxis, the Darkship started siphoning off massive amounts of thermal energy from the star, preparing its counterattack...

Hybrid took the simple tools and parts as he started to work on the engines again. He eventually pulled out a sonic screwdriver and started to play around with a things on the engines.

The Klikiss drone buzzed loudly when the wormhole suddenly burst into life, everyone scrambled to the monitors or a window to get a good look at the sun's raw power roaring out and engulfing that monstrocity of a vessel.
They were therefore rather surprised when the ship was instead sucked in.
"What on Ciscillia..." Kathan gaped,
"They set it in reverse" Garin said simply. The Dalek on th eother side of the room had finished compiling a report and dropped a slip-space relay drone, it drifted away from the ship and then tore it's way into sub-space via a miniture hole and dissapeared into the cosmos. Kethan brought up the report so he could look at it,
"They asked for a Klikiss hive ship..." he said disbelievingly,
"Why?"
"Obviously the Dalek doens't like the readings we got from that monster..."
"Yes. The monster which no longer exists."
"Ahhh..."
"Oh well, at least it will make short work of anyone else who needs dealing with."
The asteroid complex drifted closer to the planet, considering itself safe now it began taking scientific readings once more.

<Attention! Attention! Any available Stargazer Drone(s) report to the bridge now! Repeat, any available Stargazer Drones report eo the bridge now! That is all!>
The captain sighed, "Put us in battle stance. We're in a shit hole right now." Another message went through the ship.
<All military personel, man stations and prepare for combat. Repeat, all military personel to battle stations immediately!>
The ship began to come alive wiht activity and a message was put through to Greywatch Prime. Worldslayers were already on standby, as soon as the situation called for it, they would jump in. The captain looked at the holoscreen in disbelief, "Put a message through to the Kewen."
<Can I ask, what the hell was that? Having an ego is one thing but firing on another race like that only gets unneccisary losses. I pray that you are fully aware your actions may have some dire consequences...>
Just then, two Drone walked onto the bridge. They were both dressing in blue uniforms and looked to the captain. One of them spoke, "We heard the message, we decided you would only need two of us. What do you require?" The captain looked back and them and stood up, "There was a large ship there and now it's gone. Find it." An unimaginable number of light years away from the Noctisdivu system, withen one of the outer sectors of Ciscilian space, sat a vessel of epic proportions. It resembled a termite hive with engines built into it's base. This was because that was essentially what it was, a Klikiss Hive ship, a termite mound in appearence, but one which acheived the feat of being 7 km long.
Suffice to say, it was huge.
Only eight of these monstrosities had ever been built by the Klikiss, home to an entire colony devoted to the Ciscilian cause of doing whatever it was that needed to be done. It wasn't so much a battle group but an entire population. A few meters away from the Hive ship emerged the slip-space drone, it searched out it's target vessel and relayed the data stored withen, which was then processed by the vast Klikiss mind set. The Klikiss, controlled by their queen, the Breedex, moved as one, making the absurd calaculations which allowed their own form of travel to work. Using the co-ordinates sent by the probe they calibrated their instruments and checked them multiple times, eliminating any possible deviations from the norm. With those functions done, the immense generators funnelled power to a gravitational-slip-space generator deep withen the ship. The generator prised open microscopic holes in slipspace and extended gravitational fluctuations throughout it, reaching towards the fabric of the cosmos that constituted it's co-ordinates; it established a "grip" and then did what had boggled Ciscilians to no end despite how many years they devoted in an attempt to understand it.
The Hive ship swapped places with whatever it was that had been there before it.
In a single instant the immense Klikiss vessel appeared in system, there was no indication of it's appearence, it simply was. It hailed the Asteroid complex orbiting the planet and began taking in data on the situation.

Assume the Darkship is around sixteen kilometers long. I can't remember how correct that is, given Darkships are usually defined simply as "big" but it sounds about right. I'll look for my notes, I misplaced them when I reorganized all my files. However, despite it's Truespace dimensions, Mekantans are masters of spacial distortion engineering, and a Darkship is actually much larger on the inside than the outside. There are a lot of twisted elements to Darkship engineering, but I'll spare you all the rambling until I finish the ESUS Wiki article on them.
Note that not all of the Mekantan in this post will be translated. I'll try to give sufficient context clues.
Also, preparing that contingency plan. Give the word when you want the conflict to end. ^_^

-Deep within the throneworld of Ihkasutare (capital planet of the Galactic Hegemony)
A shiver raced down Tashreh math Zaril's spine as she strode through the massive chamber that gave Ihkasutare its title. It was this chamber that was the capital of Ihkasutare, of the Citadel star system, of the core sector, of the entirety of the Galactic Hegemony's holdings. From Gorugathka to Gilgamesh, from the Tsthathi space settlements to the planets of the Ferans, all territories that the Mekantans controlled answered to this chamber. The reason was simple. She was here.
"Rehnaematothraak," the female Mekantan whispered, dropping to her knees and bowing. The word she spoke wasn't the most common name for that which it referred to. Few non-Mekantans knew their language, and most who knew of Her knew She who the Mekantans called Rehnaematothraak by another name.
Minagoroshi, the Goddess All-Consuming.
Tashreh watched wordlessly as a fine black mist began rising from the floor, the true form of the Goddess All-Consuming something she was quite familiar with. As the mist began to coalesce, the avatar that billions knew as the face of Minagoroshi began to form. The process took only seconds. As Minagoroshi's cells came together, they began emulating flesh, hair, and bone. Where once there was nothing, a pale, nude female figure hung in the air, long crimson hair hanging past her feet. As the eyes of her avatar opened, the ebon mist gathered around her again, forming the robe she always wore, her eyes settling on Tashreh. "Ryah'tih," the goddess commanded, gesturing for the Mekantan woman to stand, a smile crossing her face.
Tashreh nodded, smiling back at her goddess as she rose. "ESUS'ta khii'thassa'voryash'ryah'hyeth'ta-" ("Regarding the ESUS Battlenet...")
"Nlya'za." Minagoroshi turned, a holographic screen appearing above and before her. "Doe'Telros'ze'keh'ta kaeihzi'za, nlya?" ("The Telrosians are quite useful, aren't they?") The goddess laughed, but her voice was devoid of humor.
Tashreh growled as she looked at the screen, her normally cheerful face twisted in anger as the screen replayed the exchange between the Telrosians and the Dalek.
This impudence wouldn't go unpunished...
-Concuxcisum Plagiarius
The Violent Gale rumbled deep within the star, its power signatures growing stronger and more noticable as it began preparing itself for its counterattack. Inside the obsidian hull, the shipmind's omnivoice boomed, catching the attention of all inside.
"Ryah'hosh'tih. Nae'thassa'keh'sah nae'thassa'zjeseth'ta vyeth'soh'ta thassa'myarasth'ta hosh'tih. Unza'ryah'tih. Nae'thassa'keh'sah nae'thassa'zjeseth'ta vyeth'soh'ta thassa'myarasth'ta hosh'tih. Thassa'myarasth'ta azuth'tih." ("Attention. All personnel and systems prepare for combat at once. Repeat. All personnel and systems prepare for combat at once. We are entering battle.")
Mekantan soldiers, most unaware that the ship was inside a star, dropped what they were doing as soon as the announcement was made. Meals were left half-prepared, bleeding and moaning for thier pain to end. Acts of violence between crewmembers suddenly dried up, acts of assault and rape quickly forgotten in the face of something much more interesting.
Energy crackled between the Violent Gale's spines as it began rising out of the star, its power output quickly eclipsing that of Concuxcisum's primary. As crew members reached thier posts, the Darkship breached the photosphere of the star, its interdiction field surging forth as massive amounts of power was poured into it, intent on preventing the formation of any further wormholes. It would take quite some time to spread, but the Violent Gale insisted on covering the entire system in its FTLi.
There it sat, monolithic and malignant, wreathed in the corona of the star like some great daemon from the depths of hell, basking in the infernal glow. Deep within the warship, Isos math Ixtal smilled malevolently.
"Khii'vysor'thassa'zatta'ta vaeryx'thassa'tih."
Without warning, several bolts of energy lept forth from the bow of the massive warship, their target the distant icy planet of Noctisdivu. They would miss, of course, but the goal wasn't destruction. It was terror.
The Darkship would illuminate the surface with the light of a dozen miniature suns.
Then it would destroy them and all who stood against it...

The senators did not leave this unnoticed. As usual, they had already started yelling at each other. Numerius stodd up, and yelled above the crowd "QUIET!" The Senators, not used to Numerius, of all people, being so forceful, did as they were instructed. "Now, we've got a crisis on our hands. They've got a battleship impervious to heat and pressure, obviously. Now, the best thing to do at this point is to wormhole them out of there, and send out the Raven Fleet." A Senator stood up, anger in his eyes "The Raven fleet isn't even completed yet! All we have are the-" "Transports, Wormers and wyverns, I know. But do we have anything else to fight them with? I'm afraid we have to send them out. Send out the worm command to the beacon, beacon number 445." Near the center of Concuxis, the beacon began to gather the last reserves of it's energy for a final wormhole. Suddenly creating one, one that would last for mere milliseconds, but gave off a force powerful enough to pull in most ships, sucked in the beacon....

The Asteroid Complex moved towards the Klikiss Hive Ship, preparing to enter one of it's massive hanger bays. The Klikiss ship however continued to "acclimatise" itself to the system.
The Klikiss treated their vessels like delicate indivdual gears in the vast infinite clockwork machine that was the universe; and as such everything had to be mathmatically computed to the last possible decimal place. There was good reason for this, many races dissmissed the greater practialities of advanced mathimatics, prefering to stick with their propulsion pods and ridiculous weaponry. The Klikiss new better, patience had shown them the benefits of being able to manipulate the fundamentals of the universe. Anything was possible, if only you knew how probable it was or how to do it. But as the immensly complicated vessel acclimatised itself to every particle in this system it noticed something that tested that age old belief of everything being possible.
There was a slip-space "bubble" in the centre of the sun.
The Klikiss used their ships generators to delve further into the fabric of that part of the universe, they calculated the expanded version of the slip-space bubble in "real" space. The result was something "big".
The Klikiss were like the Ciscilians, curious, and curiosity often killed the Rhendic Co mammilian grasshopper. And so it was with this same burning curiosity that they extended their gravity-slip-space generators to the "thing" in the centre of the sun and an empty part of space a significant distance away from anything else, just to be safe. The generator acheived a "grip" on whatever it was in the sun and promptly carried out the failureless technique of flipping it.
(OOC: Well, curiosity killed the cat did it not? :P
Neo-Mekanta, i've left this up to you as to whether or not you want this to be possible. Essentially if it works (which it should) your ships atoms will instantaneously switch places with the atoms at your destination; the result being your ship coming out of the sun and back into space. Like teleporting only more complex. Technically it should work because this isn't FTL tech, it's more like particle physics manipulation.)

The Ciscilian Empire belived in many things. And one of them was that agression had to responded to with aggression, in the name of defense and peace.
Unfortunatly the Ciscilians had never realised just how twisted that logic was and their chance of reformation was currently sitting on a planet possibly half way across the galaxy.
As such, the Klikiss vessel, following Ciscilian protocol promptly labelled the Mekanta vessel aggressive and the other vessels Defesive and did something designed to essentially stop the further spreading of violence, a number of worm holes materialised in front of the lances of energy speeding towards the planet, the energy blasts exited on the other side of the system. The Klikiss registered an anomaly emminating from the Mekanta ship steadily increasing but they had yet to pin-point it. The Hive ship, still unmoving, broadcasted a message to the Mekanta vessel:
"Attention aggressive beings. Hostilities are to be ceased immediatly or further protocol will be followed, resulting in your destruction, comply or be destroyed."
The voice which read this out was female, sweet, soothing but blatantly artificial given how the words didn't flow. They awaited a reply, in whatever form it took.

A new message wen to the council, Worldslayers were most likely going to be needed. Not the battle coordinator ones, or the mobile-military-base-construction ones, but the actual hard up gun-to-your-face ones. The message got a response quickly, if a battle erupted, Greywatch would be there and then some.

Luckily, there's the FTLi field, rendering the answer to "LOL WORMHOLE?" a resounding "LOL NO." ^_^

And USU, it might not be smart diplomatically, but they're Mekantans. The Galactic Hegemony's core sector is in a perpetual state of civil war due to the sheer hostility of the Mekantan race. Their response to "LOL PLZ DONT DO THAT" is "BITCH IMMA KILL YOU AND RAPE YOUR MOTHER WITH THE SEVERED HEAD OF YOUR DOG!"
They don't really care about pissing people off. Also, the teleportation wouldn't work. It's a technology called Spacial Lock, created prior to the development of the interdictors, as an answer to FTL weaponry, and since Mekantans never get rid of old tech, it'd still work.

The Senators looked at the Drone with suspicion, a few giving critical looks at the diplomat. Looking at their eyes, one could almost hear them say: "How could you MAKE such monsters, AND allow them to accompany you?"

The diplomat stood, trying to get his balance, "I'm not sure if there's anything to continue about at this point. I do apologize about the Drone's behavior but when Greywatch discovers a new civilization, we never know what to expect. It has started becoming routine for Drones to accompany some diplomats for extra security. I'm sure after this display you can see why..." The diplomat sighed and gave a sorrowful look. The Drone put its hand on his shoulder, "Don't hold him responsible for my actions. I follow my job without emotion which obviously concerns some people. But I'm sure you realize that my actions may have saved a few lives."

"Excuse me, but can have an escort back to my ship?" The diplomat said sorrowfully, "Again, I aplogize for the Drone's action." The Drone didn't bother to say anymore. It just patiently awated the next move.

The Klikiss and Mekanta ships faced off each other, more or less spitting distance withen each other.
The Klikiss ship sat there awaiting a response, only a few seconds had passed but it was well on it's way to preparing itself, the infinite spatial computer was, one could say, happily resolving the spacial distortions the Mekantan's interdictor field was generating. To the computer it was simply a stream of anomalies presenting an oppertunity for calculations to be perofrmed and solved, indeed the computer had already smoothed out two sections required for the Klikiss's next step.
One of these clear areas was in the Klikiss nuclear arnaments room. The other clear area was in the centre of the Mekanta ship. The plan was simple and indeed standard procedure, if they got the go ahead they would arm the nuke with a 2 second time limit and promptly switch it with whatever was in the target space. 1 second later it would explode.
As far as the Klikiss were concerned it would be mission complete.

She ran back into the shuttle, with the two HYDRA soldiers following her, and powered it up. Now, perhaps a description of my technology :D
You've virtually just renderd half of the Klikiss's attack strategies useless. But familiarity is a wonderul thing since in this case the longer the Klikiss are monitoring that field the longer they will have to happily calculate the nessacery steps to overcome the distortion. But if the computers occupied, like now, it will be limited to calculating mainly what's heading towards it and a few areas of interest. Like the slip-space generators and the area on the middle of your ship.
Because this, being a universe where multiple fantasies collide, is an example of Halo technology, albeit more sophisticated. If you can calculate those little eddies then you can ovecome them. I laugh.
Have fun :D
IC:
The infinite spatial computer processed the Darkships instant spatial transition, it also processed the seemingly vast amount of weaponry that commenced pouring out of the Darkship towards the Klikiss vessel.
Now, the infinite spatial computer was one of those computing marvels in the galaxy, it activly calculated and recalculated the position of every natural celestial object it had ever encountered. It held a completely accurate, yet incomplete, model of the galaxy within it's terminals. But sometimes you've just got to focus. The computer, in the few milliseconds it had, ran through it's directories, ran through it's spatial readings and realsied it couldn't utilise wormholes, in fact it's arsenal was severly depleted from the continuing distortion. So the computer focused for now on defense.
It ceased trying to unravel the remaining areas surrounding it and instead began computing areas that lay in the Darkships weapons paths. That done, and with the ships central gravitational-slipspace-generator calculated into the clear as well, it did what would undoubtably annoy the spiritual belief out of the aliens.
Black holes barely a few cm in diameter began popping up briefly in front of whatever it was that was hurtling towards them. The black holes remained open for barely a few seconds, enough to suck in the shots, but hopefully not enough for the Mekanta to realise what was happening.

The dark void of space, several thousand kilometres from the clustr of ships, tore open. A portal of arcing blue bolts of energy burst from its seams. Through the hole in space and time came the large, rough, silvery hull of the Warrington class cruiser. Though this was no ordinary vessel, it was the UTS Challenger, the one hundredth ship of its' class, and only the second ship to bear the name since the ill fated Challenger space shuttle many centuries ago on Earth. Behind it the portal collapsed in a way that would leave many wondering if there was some thing more besides just collapse. The challenger was large at 1.7 km, heavily armed, and certified in first contact operations. The commanding officer and his crew were already standing by around the tactical and diplomatic command holo table peering at several other ships that were in the area. It was obvious by now to whom ever saw and knew the Terrans that it was them.
Commander Odessa stood in front of his brand new split personality avatar suite, looking at three different renditions of the AI that was in the ships tactical-navigation-and communications computer as well as several other areas of the ship, he crossed his uniformed arms , thinking as his ship drew closer to what ever was going on. He peered back to his executive officer who was busy drinking one of the finest drinks in the galaxy Oango Juice. Odessa said with a commanding voice reverberating through the busy and large command center located in the middle of the ship.
“Well whats all this here then?” he sighed after saying.
The tactical and communications avatar spoke as one in response, the xo with a mouth full of Oango juice nearly slipped trying to respond first but failed.
“Commander we are detecting several ships some unknown others known, the ones we do know about do not pose a threat to us, as we are on either neutral or peaceful terms with these powers, how ever I do recommend you raise shields in case the unknown powers begin targeting our ships”
Odessa opened his mouth and raised his finger, he said with a near declarative tone running across the ships bridge. “That we shall do, raise shields and keep weapons on stand by, now how about for communications?”
This time The Xo did respond quickly putting his container of pretentiously marked luxury juice down, he said with a few coughs and a loud voice.
“Uhem well sir... I think we should do open channels communications with these people, a general broadcast of our intent would be wise”
Odessa looked over a bit and said with a nod, in an almost congratulatory voice that later turned scornful. “Very good idea I could have thought of it my self since its standard procedure, but I do keep you around for something despise your pretentiously ridiculous near addictive issue with Oango juice on the bridge in uniform on duty, witch I Might remind you is HIGHLY against regulations and shall NOT be done on my bridge again is that clear?”
The Xo nodded with a nervous smile putting the gold and silver diamonded etched Oango juice box in to the space bin, witch was promptly emptied by the navigation Avatar standing in front of the two in holographic form. The Box floated away falling towards the planets gravity well. That ends the box..
Odessa said looking over the Dual avatar standing in front of him, “send a general broadcast that we come in peace and offer diplomatic ties , if they respond it would be good for us”
The Navigation Avatar smirked a bit speaking as soon as the commanding tone of the captain disappeared in to the bulkheads of the ship.
“Sir might I recommend moving several thousand Kilos towards the other side of the ships , we don't want to be caught in the cross fire of any thing” The navigation avatar had a mean streak she was always plotting the demise of the crew in one way or another, but today she thought she would let them live and not jump the ship in to a sun, she was also kept at bay by the tactical-communications avatar constantly fighting like children over the control and safety of the ship and its crew.
Odessa declared with a loud voice and a smile coming over his pale face. “Yes! Good idea we shall do it immediately , set a course!”
The Tac-Com avatar glared down at the Navigation avatar, and vice versa, the shook their heads at each other while the crew had their backs turned, making funny faces like kids, tongs sticking out and various other things including some obscenities. This all turned back to professionalism as soon as Odessa looked over crossing his arms over his chest and sighing .
As the Cruiser moved to not be In the line of any hostilities between the many ships here, a message was sent in a cheerful voice with elevator like music playing in the background.
Greetings from the United Terran Federation, we come in peace, and for money trade and diplomatic relations (insert hand shake graphic and money graphic hear), how ever if you attack this ship or its crew, we shall make sure your government never again sees the light of day and that your worlds become ashen wastelands were mutant demons and chaos roam! The Klikiss, more or less preoccupied with the continuing sub-atomic fight going on in the realms of real and sub-space, had their attenttion momentarily diverted by the appearence of a fairly large craft and a message it relayed to them:
"Greetings from the United Terran Federation, we come in peace, and for money trade and diplomatic relations (insert hand shake graphic and money graphic hear), how ever if you attack this ship or its crew, we shall make sure your government never again sees the light of day and that your worlds become ashen wastelands were mutant demons and chaos roam! (insert bombing graphic and planet busting graphic here) But if your on our good side we shall make sure this enterprise benefit's us all, have a good day and respond to the UTS Challenger for more information and a talk!"
The Klikiss were unable to form opinions given that they weren't individuals but the dominant Breedex most certainly was, and she was amuseed; something which didn't happen very often. Not because this new race seemed so "up" itself or that the cheesy music playing in the background made the more violent contents of the message laughable but because right about now the Mekanta would be receiving that message and would most likely make sure that the UTS government never saw the light of day.
"Greetings from the Klikiss of the Ciscilian Empire, at this moment in time we are unable to enter into anything but peace given our struggle in defence of the beings in this system against these aggressors. Please stay safely away from the conflict untill it is resolved. Thank you."

USU, yeah, the sudden LOL NOOK TELEPORT is a damage call, something of a cardinal sin around here. That, and in the previous mention of the interdictors, I mentioned they were layered with the pre-existing Spacial Lock system. And yeah, there's no getting through that. No hard feelings though, mate. Everyone makes mistakes, and edit buttons exist for a reason. ^_^
This is why talking things out OOCly is usually a good idea. I posted MSNM and AIM contact info earlier, those messanger services are usually a good tool for that sort of thing.
And if you want to be banished to subspace or some other layer of spacetime, it's well within the abilities of a Darkship. (The main event sequence for a big RP I'm doing prep work for involves large numbers of Darkships, defined reletively as two or three, working with Zircon armadas to pull off an FTL jump with whole systems in tow.)

So, Mekanta, if you could kindly banish me to sub-space for a week it would be most appreciated. Removing your spatial lock and then trying to worm hole me into the star should do the trick :D )

The engines came back online as the hyper drive was ready to be used. Hybrid turned to Caesar and pulled out his spare sonic screw driver.
"Ok, I can't convice you to leave but I'm going to give you my spare sonic screwdriver," Hybrid handed Caesar his spare sonic screw driver. "It's a useful device. Can lock and unlock doors, repair engines etcra... man there's stuff even I don't know," smilled Hybrid.

Jessica heard the rebuke and nodded, bowing a bit apologetically. "My apologies. I'm just a bit stressed out at the situation." Taking a deep breath, she sensed the datavise from the soldiers that the Senator had left. Well, that was some good news. "I respectfully ask what was going on here. I know, despite our warnings, the nations in this system have been willingly ignorant of yourselves, but it wasn't so bad to warrant shooting...was it?"
Meanwhile, on the Horizon, Gaia had been monitoring the situation with the Darkship and had noticed a new ship coming close to it. She had kept a sensor on it, to be sure, as she struggled to get a handle on the situation and prevent the worst case scenario of the Mekantan's being offended. She was, thus, horrified to see the ship open a wormhole and suck both the Darkship and themselves into it. She frantically searched for where the wormhole was going, and detected a sharp increase of mass in the star of the system. She froze in horror. They wormholed the Darkship into their star?! Were they begging the Mekantans to give them a chance to wipe them out? She sighed and did a diagnostic routine, attempting to calm down.
She then witnessed the Klikiss Hive vessel arrive and groaned. Bringing in a big ship would either irritate the Mekantans or make them happy they have something big to destroy. This was getting worse and worse. Surely it could not get any-
A loud klaxon blared and the sensors went crazy, as they detected the Darkship rising out of the star. She watched, awestruck, as it stayed in the corona, the intense heat and pressure lashing against it to no avail. And just as she feared, it fired several blasts at the planet. Fortunately, they did not impact; it was only a terror tactic. But she knew they did not have much time before the Mekantans began a full out assault. She saw the Hive ship sending out a transmission.
"Attention aggressive beings. Hostilities are to be ceased immediatly or further protocol will be followed, resulting in your destruction, comply or be destroyed."
She worked quickly, opening a channel. "YOU FOOLS! DO YOU NOT LISTEN?! TO CHALLENGE THE MEKANTANS IS TO CHALLENGE FATE ITSELF! FLEE OR SUBMIT, ANYTHING ELSE WILL RESULT IN PAIN BEYOND YOUR IMAGINING."
It was too late, however, as the Darkship jumped and came within assault range of the Hive ship. Their message made Gaia tremble.
Your audacity is commendable. Such arrogance is nearly Mekantan in its daring. It is almost enough for an act of mercy toward your pathetic kind to be considered.
Almost.
She swore and sent a message down to the Captain, as she struggled to find a way to stop this without bringing destruction down onto the Federation. She looked at the Hive ship's reply and sighed, shaking her head sadly. She sent a final message to the Hive ship. And it got worse, the Moralites had brought in a navy and headed for the Darkship. She had to act. One was going to die, there was no need for more bloodshed.
"You have made your choice. Make peace with whatever deity you worship, for you shall be soon seeing them."
She finally glanced at an insistent bit of data which said a system-wide Mekantan FTLi. She wasn't surprised; like all A.I. in the Federation, she had studied possible enemies. The Mekantans had been included, and she knew a bit on how they operated. Once they found a target, they ensured it did not leave, like a hunter. She noticed with barely any thought at the Moralites joining the fray. She sent orders for the frigate to move away from the battle and go over the planet where the Captain was. As soon as she was done, she would be extracted immediately.
On the ground, Jessica staggered as she realized what was happening in space and her shoulders slumped. She spoke quietly, in a defeated sort of tone. "So....I take it they didn't listen to our warnings about you, did they?"

The lead chef on the surface smiled wickedly behind her helmet.
"To being of insolence... To opposing of Hegemony, and to punish." She started walking toward the Telrosian captain, gesturing for the other Mekantan soldiers to stand down. "Of being of total ignorance. To not knowing of how Mekanta-being contact to be... To be unlike Telros-being..."
As she reached Captain Smith, her helmet retracted partially, steam rising from inside the suit. The bitter cold of the rock these Moralites had chosen to inhabit would be agony were it not for heat from the armor, and the Telrosian woman, whom the Mekantan promptly kissed. The stunned captain offered insufficient resistance to deter the Mekantan, who forced her tongue into the Telrosian's mouth. She held the Telrosian woman there for a few moments before pulling back and grinning before re-deploying her helmet.
She hissed. "Jyh'ze'vaeryx'ta mato'tih'za..." ("I can taste your fear...")
"Wh- wh- what?" Jessica stammered, face flushing.
The chef ignored her question. "To question being have... To be of asking of what Telros-being to be willing of doing to saving of lessers..."
The struggled look that crossed the Telrosian's face brought cruel joy to the Mekantan's face. "A... Anything. They don't deserve the fate you have in store for them."
"To being of excellent Telros-being quality..." The Mekantan grabbed the Telrosian's shoulder, her other gauntletted hand finding its way between the Telrosian's legs. "... To knowing of place very well..."
She, and the other Mekantan soldiers, laughed as the Telrosian captain darted back, the red tone of her face deepening. She covered herself as if her uniform had vanished, staring incredulously and angrily at the Mekantan and making how violated she felt extremely apparent. The Telrosian HYDRA soldiers quickly moved to the captain's side, prompting more Mekantan laughter. One soldier stepped forward, addressing the lead chef. "Tza, doe'Telros'ze'reh'ta xentsu'kya'za?"
"Nlya'kya," she responded, shaking her head before looking back at Jessica. As she started toward the Telrosian again, the two HYDRA soldiers stepped in her way, prompting the Mekantan to laugh. "To be sensitive... to maybe preferring not to sparing of Lessers? To cooperate... or to watch of world to burn..." The Telrosian woman froze, anger crossing her face. She seemed trapped, trying to figure a way out of the situation before slumping down, defeated.
As the Telrosian ordered the guards away, the Mekantan chef grinned. The captain was willing to sacrifice herself to save the Lessers, how cute. As she strode toward Jessica, she saw that trapped look again. As she reached under her arm and forcefully pulled the captain toward her, she saw a look of horror cross Captain Smith's face, and as she forced her legs further apart with her own leg and reached between them, the Telrosian's face turned crimson. Her shame was intoxicating, and when she ground the fingers of her power armor into her prisoner, the Telrosian started squirming, trying unconsciously to get away from the violation.
"To being of very useful Telros-being woman... To be doing of because to be useful..." She growled, roughly yanking the captain forward, pressing her against the armor. "To be of much usefulness if being of wanting to save Lessers... and to having of very good use for you..."
She let the captain's mind reel for a moment before she retracted the face of her helmet, grinning as she whispered into the Telrosian's ear.
"To being of setting up of meeting with Telros-being government... Of being to meeting of with Goddess All-Consuming in Telros-being space... To having of important negotiations to make... To do this... or to seeing of Lessers burn..." With her message delivered, she shoved Jessica away, her armor-enhanced strength sending the Telrosian a good few feet away.
One of the other chefs, however, heard her. "Isos'ta thassa'ta'keh!" ("Enemy to Isos!" or "Traitor!")
Before the other Mekantan could draw thier weapon, the lead chef had her gun in her hand, sending a high-powered mass driver slug through the high grade armor of the other soldier's helmet, splashing its contents all over the interior of the armor.
As the armor vanished, recalled back to the Violent Gale the chef looked back to Jessica, who stared blankly back, face full of shock. She smiled as realization slowly crossed the Telrosian's face, turning away.
"Jeh'za Ilzrehi toth- tza'kya... Jeh'za Izrehi math Irenga! Za'ta nlya'tih." ("I am Izrehi toth- no... I am Izrehi math Irenga! Remember it.")
Up in space, Isos math Kiren remained ignorant as to what was happening below, he had enough to be angry about already without Izrehi's act of rebellion. Namely the fact that the Klikiss vessel was now using gravitics to protect itself.
The Violent Gale was much more calm about it. It knew about the Klikiss attempts to probe the limits of its spacial lock field, and it knew the weaknesses that opened in the Klikiss ship.
It decided to end this, sending one transmission to the Klikiss ship before pulsing its interdiction field again.
I tire of your interference, Lessers. Begone!
The Klikiss would have only moments by its own reckoning to comprehend what was happening as space itself, to use a common imagery associated with Mekantan FTL, seemed to shriek in agony. The effect however wasn't centered on the Darkship.
It was centered on the Klikiss vessel six lightseconds away. A vessel that was soon no longer there, instead banished to another layer of spacetime.
With the Klikiss vessel gone, the Darkship turned its attention to the Moralite ships, just as the first wave of nuclear shells came close. It didn't even bothering raising its barriers, letting the shells slam against its massive hull and detonate, tolorating the marring of its armor plating for a chance at quicker retaliation.
The light of the impact served to mask, for a brief moment, the fact that the Darkship was already preparing a retaliatory strike.
There was no hiding the thousands of blasts that ripped through the void toward the Moralite vessels, though. The Violent Gale watched, waiting to see if the Moralites could dodge them.
Jessica was confused slightly by the Mekantan's words as she walked towards her. The Mekantan way of talking was difficult to understand and her mind was still mulling over what she was saying, still confused, when she leaned forward and kissed her. Jessica, as was her kind's nature, was very free with sex with others. She had, in fact, been in several flings that had been with older men. So she was not naive in that field. But the way the Mekantan kissed was beyond anything she had experienced before and her eyes went blank for a couple seconds and a large blush heated her face as her mind struggled with the sensory overload.
When she pulled back, she blinked, trying to sort her mind out. She heard the chef say something, but her mind was still sluggish. "W-W-W-What?" She paused when she heard the Mekantan ask her what she would do to save the "lesser" races. She awoke very quickly at the question, and her mind struggled with the question. She knew if she said anything less than what she thought, the Mekantans would probably go ahead and destroy them. She had no choice, and she hated it. "A... Anything. They don't deserve the fate you have in store for them."
She tensed as the Mekantan came back over but held her ground, her eyes watching the chef very carefully. So she was caught by surprise when one hand gripped her shoulder, while another went to more....exotic places. She grew red with shame and instinctively jumped back, her thoughts a maelstrom of shame and shock. Her arms shifted to cover her body, the feeling of violation causing her to shudder. The Battle A.I., shocked at this behavior, moved the HYDRA soldiers up to her side. It couldn't order them to bring up their guns, the situation was on the edge of a knife. Any misstep could spell the doom of the other races or even the Federation. It watched as the Mekantans had a short exchange and the leader moved forward again. It had the drones move to block her passage, protecting the captain. It could only watch grimly as she laughed.
She spoke and Jessica's eyes narrowed and she struggled, even as she knew her reply. She had no choice; she couldn't be the cause of an entire civilization destroyed. Slumping in defeat, she ordered the soldiers away. She could only watch with a mix of shame and tension as the Mekantan walked over and horror filled her as she was forcefully grabbed. She twisted and turned at the Mekantans touch, shame filling her very being. Suddenly, she heard something whispered in her ear.
"To being of setting up of meeting with Telros-being government... Of being to meeting of with Goddess All-Consuming in Telros-being space... To having of important negotiations to make... To do this... or to seeing of Lessers burn..."
Her eyes widened as she was thrust back and her stunned mind, already taking several hits during the past few seconds, reeled from this blow. However, slowly, the realization of the fact she wanted to have a meeting in her space, with Minagoroshi no less, with the fate of the Lessers in the balance. As she realized, the Mekantan turned and told her name. She was Izrehi math Irenga. Jessica shuddered. She wouldn't be able to forget that name. Taking a shuddering breath, she opened the affinity band and reached for the distant but familiar presence of the President. His mind, busily working on paperwork, was shocked to feel the tired and shameful mind of Jessica connecting to his. Something was wrong.
"Whom is this?"
"Captain Jessica Smith of the Horizon"
He paused as his nanonics called up her file.
"Ah, you were deployed to the edge of space for patrol. What happened, Captain? You are obviously distraught."
"We've had an encounter with the Mekantans."
Arthur had been reaching for a pen when he heard that comment and he froze, shock hitting his system.
"What? Where?"
"An unknown system where a new civilization was located. They have mostly pre-FTL technology but could colonize planets. The Mekantans appeared as well, and as is usual by those ignorant of the Mekantans, they attacked them. I tried to stop the oncoming slaughter, even as their Darkship duels their ships in orbit. I was.....given a message by a one Izrehi math Irenga, that she wanted to have a meeting in our space, with Minagoroshi no less, about important issues. Or else the Lessers would die. I...I thought to contact you, sir."
Arthur sat back, suddenly feeling all his years dragging him down, tiring him. This was a bad situation indeed. He did not want to meet the Mekantans, in any space, especially his own. And to meet the walking destroyer that was Minagoroshi.....and the Mekantans....he sighed. He knew, as she did, he couldn't refuse. Lives were hanging in the balance and he would not sacrifice them. Not while he lived.
"Tell them it is accepted. I am giving you coordinates now."
Jessica watched and was stunned. "The home system, sir?!"
"If we are going to meet them, there is no other place. Now go, I will make preparations."
The link cut off and Jessica let out a shuddering sigh before walking over to Izrehi. "I have spoken with my president and he agrees to your proposal." She let the data download into her nanonics and into a data flek, which she handed to Izrehi. "There is the location of the meeting." She backed up a few steps and looked into the sky.
"Will you spare them now?"

"WORMERS! ON DUTY!" Admiral Marcus shouted into the radio, panicking as the thousands of blasts hurdled toward them. He quickly ran for a railing, only to be thrown directly into it. His world went black...
"As it is my duty to replace the Admiral in times when he cannot command, I will court-martial each and every one of you wormers if I get the chance!" The Vice Admiral looked at the screen below him. Why the fuck did they worm so close to the Darkship? He knew that the wormers were out of power now, and it was all up to them. "Sir! Look!" Glancing over at the area they had just wormed out of, The Admiral saw a small ship effortlessly dodging each and every blast from the darkship. Noticing an insignia of two large red eyes on the side, they both looked at each other, and said the same thing, one with amazement and one with disgust: "1314."

A cold voice over the radio echoed "Once they're done, you're next. Fuckers." 1314 switched the radio off and smiled as he turned on some music. The silence of space always creeped him out. Effortlessly weaving in and out of the blasts, 1314 began to hum. Every day of every year since the voice left him he had rejoiced. Part of him could never be changed, but much of his old self had returned once the voice had left. Pulling up, he sped towards the Darkship, and opened fire with concentrated X-Rays, making a sweep along the hull of the Darkship.

So they fired up their engines and intended to move to the edge of the interdiction field, so they could emerge and fight once more.
