For those people that actually remember my ol' sandbox, you can just start, be sure to read the story line.
For those who are new, here goes it:

East Ying's Sandbox
Welcome to the East Ying Sandbox. This thread is a place where you can play around with tech, have no limits to any perceived weapons, be any race, war mongrel wherever you want, and take on any race!!! This place was devised by East Ying for Fun purposes only. All rules set in place are only the rules set forth by admins/mods. The other basic rules are:

-No morphed alternate histories, like "I'm a version of the USSR!!! I declare cold war on you ________"

-Follow the rules set forth by admins and mods, please.

-Follow these rules too, obviously

-RP only, no silly wars like "Boom, the ship sunk because of a missile"... NO, please really RP....

-If there is anything anyone thinks should be added, do it in OOC.

-HAVE FUN!!!!

Story-Line

If I read this right you said play around with different tech and races... doesn't everyone hafta kinda be on more-or-less the same level to not get slaughtered due to a lot of people prolly being war mongers?
Sry, I admittedly don't know that much bout these kinda RPs

Let me start it out:
Aincient Mongols streamed into the city, killing civilians. Just a short starter

Does that mean I could be the Necrons from Warhammer 40K? I for some reason have an urge to play as them in something...

(OOC: lol at where that story went... nice to see you back, and hope this time you'll join in. I think I'll continue with my cunning ploy. Mind if I make up the geography of this world?)

Station Bravo - Armament Laboratories
"The Desert of Dreams"

A cold wind was whipping up dust around the concrete fortifications as Ti'lan paced from the central bunker to one of the four guard towers set around the edge. All were built from concrete, faces eroded by the sandstorms from sharp corners to more organic curves.

At the guard position, he slammed the steel door shut behind him, dislodging dust from inside the frame and making the ceramic plating rattle. Quickly scuttling up the ladder, he finally reached the lookout position. A pair of electrolaser units sat on a cooled mounting, facing out through a small slit. Most of the tower was monitered by surveillance screens, looking out on the bunker defences: a thick concrete wall into which the tower was set followed by a twenty-metre perimeter holding three fences. The most external fence, with tank traps and anti-vehicle barriers mounted at its base, was six metres high and electrified. The dead ground in between was heavily mined, warning signs indicating the danger area.

This security was essential to the inner compound. Inside the bunker, facilities for scientists able to work in ideal test areas with little or no inhabitants stretched deep underground. At its deepest, three hundred metres underground, the temporal/nuclear fallout shelter for the hundreds of personnel was kept, away from the near-surface armoury. Many strange weapons lay concealed behind the walls, some experimental and some only just coming back to Universe 1. The home of these men.

Inside the shelter, Ti'lan quickly scanned the short-range cameras before moving to long-range temporal scanner. Here, he could make out the characteristic pattern of the anomaly, a few hundred miles away. Nobody had yet ventured there, due to the desert conditions, but it was expected that an expedition would be going there post-haste. Much closer, up in the mountains, he could see the sharp point of the portal, beneath Station Alpha, their way back home after the two month posting. So far, no characteristic flashes of teleportation devices that they had been told to look out for from Station Delta. With that done, he surveyed the normal screens. Dust storms moving in from the south, radiation levels normal, no suspicious sensory sigantures that would mean vehicles, and no visual on enemy units. A good night, as always.

He leant back in his seat by the electrolaser mount, slinging his own inferior unit over a small peg. Whilst he relied on a kinetic battery to provide the energy for the bolt of energy and the ion path, the mounting was wired directly to the central nuclear reactor. And whilst his weapon could average eight shots in five seconds before he had to recharge, the mount would allow up to five thousand shots in a minute before overheating. Five thousand times, it would be able to fire a tiny UV laser marker at the target, ionising the atmosphere enroute to allow a 100kW charge shoot down it as a bolt of lightning, almost certain to kill infantry and cause severe damage to aircraft. Just another innovation from this laboratory. In case he spotted anything heavy, the watch tower offered a concealed missile battery, with a total of twenty medium-range anti-vehicle or anti-air missiles held within, protected from the dust.

Looking out at the long-distance visual scanner, he slowly scrolled the desert. At midnight local time, the darkness was surprisingly little: all three moons had risen by now, white light reflected from the largest (Somnia) providing a sea of light such as that of twilight back home in his motherland. His mother universe. Led by an artificial portal cut between the two universes and two different times, he was part of the Minsterial Guard, the fifteen-thousand strong force that operated in secret away from the rest of normality. With only sixty percent drawn from the 'real' nation of Alfegos, the rest were a mix of those from different time periods (carefully selected not to interfere with the rest of history) and different universes. So far, they were the only reality with such an organisation in existance, men employed from a variety of parallel universes, alternate dimensions and even from other worlds.

He was interrupted from a reverie of viewing the landscape by a flashing light and harsh buzzer: a video message inbound. He flicked it onto is screen.
"This is Station Alpha to all stations: we are reading changes in the anomaly. It appears that the patch of freeze-time is coming back up to standard time. Can you confirm?"
Ti'lan checked all the sensory inputs from the other tower: the large patch of dark red had shifted hue.
"Station Bravo to Alpha, we confirm changes."
"All stations: raise alert level to heightened. We don't know what's happening, but it's obviously something big."
A klaxon started up around the station as men on menial duties downed tools to move straight to the breifing stations, whilst a small dune buggy cruised out from the gate carrying a miscellany of strange probes, directed at the invisible point in the distance, the four-man team moving onto a piece of high ground ten kilometres in the distance to perform further temporal observations, to try and predict the effects of what would happen. The light dimmed as the wind began to rise further, dust whipping up from the ground.

The mongols, streaming into the city were met with the a sight that could only be spawned from a place like hell, twelve 12ft tall warriods clad in black and red armounr, each wearing large horned helmets which seemed to actually be moving!

rather then having a large red flaming sword even though it would look sweet, they needed something pratical each of them sintead help large red and black rifles which glowed and erily green glowed.
Bracing themselves they shot, and 12 spirals of green energy streaked towards the nearest mongols.

ooc: ladies and gentlealienfolkmenpeoplethings, i give you the *dramticfanfare* random dudes who look cool with guns im testing them for practical application.

(I dont take part in my own Sandbox. Its just for fun, but if you insist..)
Waves splashed over levis as the huge Super Mongols inaded Ying city. With portable dismoleculizers in hand, they killed everything! They were moving, and moving fast... towards Alfegos.

(God that piece of Roleplay was horrible... I guess im just not in the RP mood today. And glad to see you remembered. God that Sandbox was good. Go ahead Alfegos, i was never good at making maps.
