Living Freedom Land is a large nation spanning from the western Serpent Ocean to the middle of the continent, it is bordered by the small rogue nation of The Oppressed Peoples of Dead Oppressive World and other nations in it's region.
*Culture:
The culture of Living Freedom Landers is very diverse, with most of them having a slightly violent and largely materialistic outlook on life. Many of them also incorporate narcotics into their daily regimen of drugs bought at competitive prices from respectable companies. Living Freedom Landers also pride themselves in their culture of gangs, international terrorist groups, and right-wing religious militias which use the nation as a base of operations. They also have a rich linguistic history of Barbarian Dialects which, although largely supplanted by English in most places, still supplies slang to the large portion of the population. All in all, the culture is alive with diversity and unrestricted, some might say insanely rampant, capitalism.

The Anarchist Legion is the most powerful group(as much due to military might as public support) with a general "Stick it to the man!" attitude. They really don't care what happens just as long as the state stays out of it.
The Sons and Daughters of the Corporate Liberty Army are a very socially liberal group as long as it serves business interests and usually support a lax economic policy unless regulation would help business(tariffs, corporate welfare, etc).
The Bureaucratic Stability Party are a small group(but growing) largely consisting of people who want to widen the government's scope on everything for what they see as a more peaceful and safer world. Although many of them are old loyalists a new group are former Legionists who dislike what the nation has become because of it's idealistic outlook on things and want to undo what they have done. Recently this group helped establish Dead Oppressive World, a small area of Living Freedom Land, as another country in which they are the majority party.
The Barbarian Superiority Party are a group of nationalists that largely ally with the Bureaucratics, but they embody a more extreme imperialistic approach to the world. They are fervently nationalistic and racist against non-barbarians. They believe that the English language has corrupted the culture of Living Freedom Land, and they wish to outlaw it and make the few remaining Barbarian Dialects required throughout the country for citizenship. They also support racial cleansing(death camps) for minorities and a caste system for those who are most like the archetypal barbarian to those who are only part barbarian in their genetic make-up. Recently this group helped establish Dead Oppressive World, a small area of Living Freedom Land, as another country in which they are the opposition party.
*Historical Notes:
Living Freedom Land was, for as long as anyone can remember, a bureaucratic mess. The Parliament, held in line by the Prime Minister, kept check on everything from each person to the the fleas on small animals. There were compulsory I.D. cards, cameras on street corners, and many businesses were limited by regulation. After a while the people got sick of it and revolted. There were two main revolutionary factions: The Corporate Liberty Army and the Anarchist Legion which fought against the Bureaucratic Killing Machine. After a few years of fighting the rebels were triumphant and established a small government now known as The Free Freedom Loving Land of Living Freedom Land. A few years ago a small province, long home to psychotic mental patients and old bureaucratic loyalists, seceded from Living Freedom Land and established the highly exaggerated Dead Oppressive World. The President yawned at their decision, said he didn't cared, and signed a law establishing trade with the nation and recognizing it's sovereignty.

The President's name is, legally, "The President".
The Federal government conducts all business from the old historical(and in need of repair) mansion "The Presidential Palace and Federal Headquarters", usually shortened to Presidential Palace.
A joke in the government is that, when questioned about the government, they reply "What government?".
Many of the Army's tanks are repaired by duct tape.
