I'd like to play the early history of my FT nation. Since this is "history", there are some limits on what can happen in the story:

- There has to be a global religious war on Earth or in the whole solar system (anyone want to play a nation participating in it? I suppose at least two of these are needed.)

- All sides in the conflict try to eliminate the Free Priesthood (which has members in all nations)

- There will be large(-ish) spaceships meant for transport within the solar system which are in principle capable of leaving the solar system. No teleportation, FTL, gate systems, etc though.

- The FP will steal a ship or a few ships and manage to get away to a remote planet where no alien in their right mind would follow (very poisonous wildlife, and the locals are strong, wear cloaking armor, and tend to kill everything that doesn't belong on the planet).

- There may be some encounters with aliens along the way.

Anyone interested?

my nations histroy we have tried millions of times to get pasat the nebula and failed(untill recently or seemed to fail so that gives me reason i i can join to have the odd smallish transport/kewen sceince vessel in this if you want if not/ dont think its a good idea i understand.

I'm up for it. I'll RP the future of my nation - we're very anti-religious and in the near future i can see us going on some global crusade to rid the world of god.

To Kewen: if you don't mysteriously disappear from the thread again, you're in. I can easily see the discovery of intelligent alien spiders leading to war between atheists and rabid creationists. One little problem: you made first contact with the Free Priesthood a few hundred years after the events we're going to play now. We'll have to figure out how the FP managed to forget about the existence of a race as remarkable as the Kewen.

By the way, Ziolis may be in this as a random encounter as well.

To Belschaft: Great! Now we still need some intolerant religious nation. Do you know anyone?

A little background info: the Free Priesthood is an organization of pacifist polytheists. Their basic idea is "We will accept the existence of your deities if you accept the existence of ours"... which of course is considered heresy by both religious and atheist fundies.

I wouldn't mind doing this sort of RPG. I could make it the Lynion's leave Earth for their homeworld. But that is if you would allow it and I'll manage to tie everything in with the RPG.

To Kewen: If you want to play, you can describe a news item about your race being discovered now. Otherwise, I guess the news item will be some declaration of war.

To Lynion: If your race is humanoid, you're welcome (an intelligent non-humanoid species already living on Earth would remove all sense from the discovery of the Kewen being an indirect cause of conflict).

Hmm. Well, if the Kewen are humanoid now, then their discovery being the cause of the trouble would mean the Lynion couldn't be on Earth, no matter what they look like.

Since there apparently are many humanoid but non-human nations, it probably is most convenient if we decide that those are already known and accepted on Earth (they don't defeat the "In Gods image" thing as much as spiders do). If we have any creatures that don't look human wanting to participate, their discovery will be the trigger of conflict. Otherwise, it will just be a random declaration of war, probably by Belschaft.

BTW, any highly religious Earth nations, or anyone willing to RP one for this story?

That's cool. I'll make it the Kingdom of Lynion is about to be transported to their home planet which they came from. They are a race of vampires and werewolves and they are alien.

You said in the IC thread taht the worlds bee npeacfull - can you dedit that to the total opositite? If there's a huge relegious war going on, leading to your people to plan to flee, I don't think it would be peacefull?

Explanation of "peaceful": From the perspective of the FP it obviously isn't peaceful, since they are a prosecuted minority. For everyone else, it's the silence before the storm. I made a small edit to make the situation more clear.

The FP doesn't plan to leave the planet yet - if they had plans, they wouldn't end up in a crazy place like Fir!n. But once the world war starts, the nations in which they live will try harder to wipe them out, leaving them no option but to bring all members together in one place, steal some ships, and flee into the unknown.

well ive made a opening post, and the ship that mentioned can easily hold about 100-150 people but is usualy crewed by 15. it has no guns though!

I'm not sure if I understand what Ziolis is up to, but I can imagine it causing a big mess, which is good.

As for the Kewen post... I can work with that. *evil grin*

I do. Missile bases locate on small islands around Iceland (Wich is where I'm located. If I ever mention a desert it's ice desert - they exist - an ice waste is a desert technicly. Of course makes growing food hard but we have masive underground greenhouses for that and we have heat from the volcanic activity bellow the island.)

I know nukes are a bad idea, but consider that this country - let's call them the New Roman Empire - is led by people who think they're fighting back against demons... and are happy to have an excuse to try to wipe out other religions and atheists.

I meant "going too far" in the sense that making a RP too similar to the end of the world as predicted in the Bible might be bad taste. Apart from that, I think it's okay to fuck up the earth pretty bad, but not so much that nobody wants to live there anymore (to avoid history mismatches in other RPs). Global war - yes; making the world uninhabitable - no.

By the way, you totally should name the commander of the Glory Nero :) .

Might do that, although it's more likely I'll steal a human ship - the manual would be easier to read. The wormhole will be useful, though.

By the way, I guess Andrea might be an ancestor of Aniska... Pretty similar characters.

I'd probally let them in on a points system. Doctors get in easy, the un-employed less so. But it's Kewens decison.

Don't worry about not feeling affected, the school shootings didn't affect me much even though I did attend school.
Also, I'm a UU by choice (I grew up more or less without religion) so I suppose I might feel more connected to this group than the average Christian feels to theirs.

I know it was (near) godmodding to say the launch site was there, but there's no way I could fit enough of my people on the Kewen ship, and Ziolis seems to want to wipe out most of humanity...
(I need to send more than a few people to Fir!n because they'll need to learn to survive there - maybe 80% wouldn't survive, and THEN the population needs to grow to about 4000... Too few people and you would get too much inbreeding, and then they would all die instead of stabilizing at a few thousand)

Ziolis: yes, disabling all electronics in an area where I'm trying to steal spaceships is very helpful. Well, it would be if I wanted bricked spaceships, lol.

TFP the ship has statis pods, so you could put like.. 100 of your people in the pods while the rest stand around the ship i.e they all fit! lol :P

At this point your intentions don't matter much, the bricked Belschaft spaceships are useless anyway. But yea, please do take me away from earth, otherwise my people will die and then SOMEHOW end up on a far away planet. That wouldn't make sense.

Also, if you bury the ship, I can take precautions so nobody will try to mess with it.

Small hint: if you bring me straight to Fir!n, try to avoid doing much damage to nature (except in landing, that should be OK), otherwise you'll have to deal with very strong and violent invisible predators...

*shrug* that should work, if you do it after dropping off the humans, and sufficiently far away from them. That would direct the attention of the locals away from the humans instead of making them the obvious to be accused (and then killed) party.

Just a note... the "stealth sailboat" is very hard to see on radar and such (duh), has camouflage colors (dark gray hull and transparent sails) and doesn't generate much heat (just the beings on it). In other words, once it's away from the coast it's pretty unlikely anyone will notice it.
