(OOC: Be prepared: this is a BIG read.)

ALERT - Civil War in Progress

Imperial Timeline:

(Please note that Imperial Citizens have an average lifespan of 500-600 years.)

Year 0: Empire founded by Emperor Carl Marshall, deemed brutal and evil by other nations.

Year 1: Emperor Commits genocide on his own people. Is deemed to have gone mad. His brother, Phillip Marshall declares civil war to defeat his evil sibling.

Year 3: Emperor Carl Marshall defeated and executed by his brother. The new ruler Phillip turns down the role of Emperor, instead opting to rule as an elected president. His people vote to keep him in power for life.

Year 5: Empire forms first official Army. Meets with future ally Celeborne for the first time. The alliance wouldn't last.

Year 17: Nearby nation of Ragnarok declares war on the Empire. An invasion by Ragnarok causes major damage to the Imperial cities. After assistance from allies, Ragnarok is pushed back and counter-invaded. Ragnarok is Annexed. Victorious nations share the newly conquered country. Imperial Navy builds research center and military base. King Ragnarok escapes.

Year 27: Empire's first space flight a success. Plans are drawn up with allied help to form the Imperial Space Station, which would become the base of the future Imperial Alliance.

Year 30: The King of Ragnarok returns with a mercinary army to exact revenge upon the Imperial Navy. Rather than attempt to retake his home nation, his madness guides him to attempt once more to attack the Imperial Mainland. This time the Empire is ready for him. His troops are almost wiped out in the initial beach assault. King Ragnarok is captured and executed.

Year 50: Imperial Space Station complete. Several nations have attatched modules to the space station in an act of friendship. The Imperial Alliance is formed. Beginning of the Golden age of the Empire.

Year 67: Imperial Alliance at it's strongest, with over 20 members. An age of expansion begins, as the Empire and it's allies annex surrounding warmongering islands into the alliance. Empire begins construction on a space fleet.

Year 73: First Imperial Battleship is completed. A Star Crusher class, called the Hydra. Newer designs would quickly render these ships obsolete. They are later considered a waste of money, and relegated to cargo ship status. The Freeport project begins, and 2 brand new trading stations are constructed. They continue to be used to this day.

Year 89: Several hostile nations attempt to attack Imperial Navy in one year. The attacks are repelled, although Imperial military power is left at it's lowest level in years. Allies aid in the recovery.

Year 98: President Marshall dies. He leaves the Empire to his son, Daniel, who accepts the post of Emperor, Which his father refused. Refusing to aknowledge the first emperor, he delares himself Emperor Marshall I.

Year 102: The Future Lord Gregory, supreme military commander of the Empire, Enlists in the Imperial Armada. The Imperial Alliance collapses. It seems president Phillip was the only thing holding it together. Celeborne remains an ally in the Empire, but later that year disapears in an unknown cataclysm.

Year 110: The age of Darkness begins. The empire disapears into obscurity for 50 years. No one but the Empire's people know what happened in this dark time, but we do know that the Empire built up a massive military presence.

Year 160: The Empire resurges after a 50 year dissapearence from the political spotlight. Emperor Marshall I is still ruler, and Gregory has become Lord of the Armada. The Imperial Fleet is now immense. The Empire begins the great years of space expansion.

Year 168: The Empire attempts to colonise the Taiidan system, and encounters the Taiidan Empire. The first encounter is hostile, but future contact becomes friendly and the two become allies.

Year 170: The Minarii Kiithid attack and destroy the Taiidan Empire, but are in turn destroyed by The Imperial Navy and an allied fleet. Not all the Minarii Kiithid are destroyed however, for several escape to fight another day...

Year 182: The Empire Encounters Moleland for the 1st time. Lord Gregory meets Admiral Striker, commander of one of Molelands fleets. A trade deal is reached, and the two nations embark on a beautiful friendship.

Year 190: Emperor Marshall I officially declares Moleland a friend of the Empire. Tydus system occupied.

Year 192: Lord Gregory discovers the planet Arcadia. The people regard the Imperial fleet with hostility and attempt to destroy Gregory's fleet. Their weapons are obsolete however, and Lord Gregory destroys much of the enemy. A peace deal is reached however, when the Emperor personally intervenes. The Emperor is then Engaged to the ruler of Arcadia, Emperess Teodora.

Year 193: Emperor Marshall I and Empress Teodora II wed. Arcadia officially becomes territory of the Empire. Crystals harvested from the planet are discovered to make excellent weapons. The Chaos Moon Cannon (CMC) is created. This weapon can tear ships apart in a single blast.

Year 200: Moleland breaks out in civil war. The Imperial Navy sides with Admiral Striker, for he has been their most trusted ally, and a personal friend of Lord Gregory. The Minarii Kiithid attempt to use the situation to destroy the Empire once more, but this time they are exposed and destroyed for good. The Moleland situation is resolved, and Striker decorates Gregory with a Moleland honor for his help.

Year 202: The Eggman war. An evil genius named Dr. Eggman begins to steal valuable crystals from around the planet with the intention of ruling the world. After he nearly causes the planets destruction, he is stopped by the Imperial Navy, which aquires a strange Emerald from his corpse. It is discovered to be even more destructive than Arcadian crystals, and is installed into the cannon of Gregory's new flagship, the Infinity.

Year 205: The Alternate Incident. Probably the most important moment in Imperial history (See "Great events in Imperial history" for details). Lord Gregory marries Admiral Bellena.

Year 206 - Present day: Empire is beginning to forge new alliances. Pirate attacks occur In Imperial sectors. A large standoff begins. Lord Gregory defeats a large pirate fleet, but the Pirate flagship is destroyed by an unknown vessel with a very powerful Bioweapon. Upon returning to Earth, Gregory learns that the Alternate Incident was no accident. In fact the ship that destroyed the pirates was the Emperor's new flagship. Gregory has been betrayed. He flees to warn Moleland of impending invasion, and is declared a traitor by the Emperor. Mass media is shut down, and the Emperor prepares his final plan. He declares war upon Moleland, preparing to destroy them with his latest weapon, the Eternum cannon...

Key people of The Imperial Navy

Emperor Marshall I, Supreme overlord of the Empire, Ruler of Arcadia

The current ruler of the Empire, His life is shrouded in mystery. None know much about him, except for his expert diplomatic ability and supreme control of the law. Crime has been all but non-existant under him. People fear his wrath. He is the unquestionable ruler of the Empire.

Lord Alexander Gregory Holder of the Holy Imperial Blade, Master of the Imperial Armada

Everyone in the Empire knows Lord Gregory. The greatest war tactian that has ever lived, the greatest swordsman, and the Supreme commander of the Imperial Armada. Lord Gregory commands several hundred Imperial Capital ships. Under Lord Gregory, the Empire has forged alliances rather than conquer, and it has proven to be a major success. Moleland, for example was only such a successful friendship because of this man, and his friendship with Admiral Striker of Moleland. The two have saved each others lives on countless occasions, and fight together against almost any enemy. In fact, it was because of Striker that the Empire defeated the Alernate Empire in the Alternate incident. Gregory is currently married to Admiral Bellena, commander of the 1st Imperial Armada. And recent events may change his life forever.

Admiral Bellena, Commander of the 1st Imperial Armada

An excellent Admiral, she has the resolve to do what needs to be done. For years she had an on/off relationship with Lord Gregory, Until he saved her life in the Alternate incident and they were married. Her most famous act was in the Minarii Kiithid war, where she destroyed the enemy flagship. Her flagship is known as the Wasp. She is feircely loyal to the Emperor.

Admiral Galcian, Commander of the 2nd Armada

Galcian dreams of only one thing - having Gregorys job. His lust for power often clouds his judgement, and he has only survived several battles because of the overwhelming firepower of his flagship, the Battlefortress Serpent. When he does focus however, he can be a greater strategist than Lord Gregory, although he often lacks the resolve to do what is needed to be done. His Loyalty to the Emperor is absolute.

Admiral Vyse, Commander of the 3rd Armada

Admiral Vyse is the youngest person ever to serve as an Admiral in the Empire. At the young age of 32, Which is almost teenage by Imperial Standards, he defeated an entire pirate fleet with one ship and earned his own fleet as reward. He started as the 5th Admiral, but has since graduated to the 3rd fleet with his flagship, the Liberator. Unlike the other Admirals, Vyse is entirely loyal to Lord Gregory, for as a young commander, Lord Gregory saved his life from a raider attack on an Imperial space station. As a result, Admiral Vyse feels that he owes Lord Gregory one.

Admiral Falkiri, commander of the 4th Armada

Admiral Falkiri is a new Admiral, recently recruited from selected officers. It is unknown as to why he was selected, due to his complete lack of any noteable acheivements. It is believed that he was recruited due to his unswarthing loyalty to the Emperor...

The Admirals Flagship is the Deathwing.

Admiral Valdoor, Commander of the 5th Armada

Another new Admiral, But unlike Falkiri, Valdoor has many victories under his belt - Gambling victories. Valdoor is a compulsive gambler, and yet again, none know why he was recruited due to his complete lack of military intellegence. Again, it is suspected that the Emperor is behind his recruitment...

The Admirals Flagship is the Darkness.

Admiral Yarris, Commander of the secret 6th Armada, Chief of Imperial Covert ops.

Not even Lord Gregory knows of the existance of Admiral Yarris or the 6th Armada. It was a fleet convened in secret by the Emperor. It's purpose is to complete missions that the Emperor wishes to keep hidden from his people. Perhaps because it violates Imperial law. As for Yarris? None know anything about him. Not even his own crew. He wears a long black cloak all the time. He is a living mystery. Some wonder if even the Emperor knows who he really is...

Yarris's Flagship is the Shadow.

Great Events of Imperial History:

The Ragnarok War: This was the first major war in Imperial History. A crazed king, named Ragnarok, and his nation of the same name, invaded the Empire with the intention of genocide. He caused damage that took years to repair, and killed hundreds of Imperial Citizens. In the End however, his army was destroyed with allied help, and his own country was annexed in a counter attack. The victorious nations devided the Kingdom up, with the Empire taking the North East of the country. Unfortunately, King Ragnarok and his most loyal followers escaped, vowing to one day avenge this action.

And they did. 13 Years later, King Ragnarok returned with a mercinary army, dubbed "The Imperial Navy Haters." But rather than attempt to take back Ragnarok, Instead he chose to once again attack the Imperial Navy, determined to carry out his promised revenge. But this time the Empire was ready, and a wall of sea defenses destroyed Raganaroks meagre force before it could become a threat. And in the end, King Ragnarok was captured and sentenced to death for war crimes. Following this war, the Empire would ensure it would never be invaded again.

The Armada and The Admirals: While making headway into the construction of the Imperial fleet, the Empire decided that the fleet would need to be reorganised into an effective command infrastructure. And so the Imperial Admirals were created. Each one would have a few hundred ships under their command, And they would all answer to a "Grand Admiral." This title was later changed to "Lord of the Armada", to avoid confusion. Lord Gregory was not the first Lord of the Armada. The title originaly belonged to Lord Lasgul, Father of Admiral Galcian. He was killed in battle, and Lord Gregory succeeded him.

Celeborne and The Imperial Alliance: A nation now remembered only in legend, Celeborne was the first to join the Imperial Alliance. Together the Imperial Navy and Celeborne were great allies, destroying opponents and creating trade deals. Other allies were made, such as Unified Sith, Imperial Forces and The Vortex Corporation. These and other nations formed into the Imperial Alliance, A trade and defense agreement between the nations. The Imperial Alliance was involved in many wars, against numerous foes, large and small. Trade helped to improve the Imperial Space Program, The Imperial Space Station became a meeting zone, and many worlds were colonised.

Then it happened. The Alliance began to fall apart, as trade disagreements and hunger for wealth tore the group apart. Although the alliance was no more, some remained allies, others dissapeared. Celeborne remained good friends of the Empire for several more years, but then it happened. One day, all contact with Celeborne was lost. A recon team was sent to their nation to learn what had happened. All they found were craters and charred buildings. It looked like some sort of natural cataclysm. Perhaps a Meteor? A research team has been in the remains of Celeborne for decades now, still trying to learn what happened.

The Age Of Darkness

Few know what happened in those 50 years that the Empire disapeared from the international spotlight. And few ever will, for the Empire will not speak of it. All we know is that when the Empire emerged from the darkness, it's fleet had doubled in size. It had also colonised dozens of worlds. But the same Emperor still ruled. The Imperial City was still there... However the Imperial Space Station was gone, as had any trace of the Imperial Alliance. The Empire was suddenly self sufficient, better governed, and at peace. It was the beginning of the new age.

The Freeport Project

It was a bold plan for a new age. At the hight of the Imperial Alliance, the Empire constructed a space station, for the purposes of Free trade withall who wish it. It attracted small time merchants, weapons buyers, and even had shipbuilding facilities for those who needed it. A second station was built a year later. Both continue to operate to this day, as lively centers of trade and information.

Moleland, The Taiidan and the Minarii Kiithid

And so began an era of space conflict. The Empire found a system suitible for colonisation. However, they discovered as they entered the system it was already taken. The Taiidan Empire, A race spanning the entire system, came to meet their colony ships. At first it almost resulted in conflict, but negotiation proved sucessful, and a trade deal was established. Later a full alliance was formed. It didn't last. The Taiidan Empire was destroyed 2 years later by a symbyotic race called the Minarii Kiithid. When the Empire learned what the Minarii had done, they attacked, destroying the Minarii Kiithids fleet. A number of ships escaped though, seeking to one day avenge themselves.

Shortly afterwards, when Lord Gregory ascended to his post, on his first recon mission he encountered Admiral Striker, Commander of the MDC Explorer, a Moleland space vessel. Lord Gregory had entered Mole space, and nearly caused war. However, Gregory's powers of negotiation and Strikers willingness to listen. The two that day forged a friendship that would last many lifetimes. Often, people speak not of the alliance between Moleland and The Imperial Navy, but the friendship between Gregory and Striker. Together, They fought in the Moleland Civil war, In the Arcadian War, and most famously, the Alternate incident.

During the Moleland Civil war, for example, The Minarii Kiithid's remmnant returned to take advantage of the situation and attack the Imperial fleet. Striker was forced to fight a war on two fronts, and so Gregory saved his nation with a swift counter assault, destroying what was left of the Minarii Kiithid. Striker repaid Gregory in the Alternate incident, saving his life and his nation (With the help of an entity known as Molething [CLASSIFIED DATA] ).

The Alternate Incident

The most Infamous event of Imperial History so far. It started with an experiment into long-range teleportation. It "Malfunctioned" Sending Lord Gregory, Admiral Striker of Moleland, several Imperial citizens, and the orbiting MDC Explorer Into an alternate reality. In this universe Moleland and the Imperial Navy had been at war. Moleland was devastated but rebuilding, Earth was a wreck, and what little was left on the planet was under Imperial control. The war had laid waste to the galaxy. Gregory's Alternate self was Emperor, and driven mad with grief, for his wife, Admiral Bellena had been injured in the war. Although still alive, robotic upgrades had made her somthing less than human. Lord Gregory came face to face with himself. When Gregory's other self learned that Bellena was well in the other universe, he immediatly imprisoned Gregory and made preperations to invade the other universe, little realising just how big the NS Earth is. Gregory escaped, stealing a prototype mech in the Imperial hanger bay.

Meanwhile, the MDC Explorer returned to moleland, not knowing what had happened, and encountered Strikers other self, and a group of pirates led by the alternate Admiral Vyse. Striker ecountered Molething, an entity created by Moleland scientists [CLASSIFIED], and used it to find Gregory, and rescued him from attack by pursuing mechs. Striker was eventually reunited with the MDC Explorer, And together with Gregory and Molething, returned to their own universe.

On the other end, Gregory assembled the entire fleet, and prepared to battle his doppleganger. Striker summoned his own fleet and together the two leaders stood together, against the forces of the mad alternate Emperor Gregory, for the fate of their universe.

The battle was fierce. Both sides lost many ships, but the Flagship of the Alternate fleet, A twisted version of the Infinity, under the command of the robotic Bellena, seemed all but impenetrable. A sacrifice by Molething ensured it's destruction, but not before Striker lost his beloved MDC Explorer. Striker avenged the loss of his vessel, destroying much of the remaining fleet.

Gregory's doppleganger ignored the battle, getting on board Bellena's flagship and kidnapping her, fleeing in a mech to Tydus IV. Lord Gregory quickly pursued, and the two faced off on the planets surface. Lord Gregory lost an arm, losing the battle. If not for a blaster shot from Bellena, He would have died. Bellena killed her kidnapper, but not before he had activated a self-destruct mechanism on his mech, Forcing the two to flee. Luckily for them, Admiral Striker had sent a cruiser after them, which picked them up a got them out of the blast radius. The mech exploded, destroying the planet.

Gregory and Striker were honored as Imperial Heroes, and Gregory finally married his love. But there is more to this story... and it shall be told.

Facts about the Empire

The Imperial City: Home to the Imperial Palace, and primary territory of the Empire, the Imperial city is located back on Earth. The Imperial Shipyards orbit the planet, where the lighter class vessels of the Armada fleets. The Imperial mainland is known as Imperia. The Imperial city covers about 90% of the landmass. The rest is mainly farmland, or mountainous regions. It's people are moralistic, friendly, hard working and deeply loyal.

The Imperial city is a huge, highly advanced city created by merging all of the nations cities into one massive so called "Mega city." Mostly skyscrapers that tower into the lower atmosphere, Anti-grav transport is a necessity to get around. Many people work in synthetic food or technology industries, after of course serving a compulsary 2 years in the Armada. The industry of The Imperial Navy generates trillions in annual revenue to fund the Empires mighty war machine.

At the center of the city is the mighty Imperial Palace, which towers above all the other buildings of the city. Here the Emperor resides, watching over his people. It is also the main control center for the Imperial Armada. Here the 5 Admirals of the Armada meet with the Lord of the Armada for new orders and plot war strategy. Here also resides the Imperial Senate, who govern Imperial law and the economy (Although all decisions must be cleared by the Emperor).

The TIE Corporation: Standing for Travel & Intergalactic Exploration, The most powerful business in the Empire, the TIE Corps handle everything from cargo and freight to weapons manufacture. The TIE Corps greatest invention was the Chaos Moon Cannon, or CMC (See "Imperial weapons and technology"), which earned them an exclusive contract to produce all Imperial weapons technology for the Armada. Other TIE Corps inventions include the TID (Twin Ion Drive) Fighter, the Juggernaught class battlecruiser, and the Imperial Oblivion class Mothership Infinity. Annual TIE Corps turnover is in the trillions.

The Imperial Shipyards: Most of the shipyards are in a geo-syncronous orbit over the Empires main landmass, Imperia. Here several light capital vessels are always under construction, either to bolster losses to the fleet, or to serve as patrol vessels and escorts for cargo vessels. Larger vessels are produced at the Imperia Prime shipyards, located in the Arcadian system, over the planet Arcadia prime. The larger capital vessels are always destined to serve in the Armada, often as flagships. The shipyards are heavily guarded by turrets and often a number of patrol vessels. A small spacedock control platform directs traffic and work crews to their stations, and helps to avoid collisions with cargo ships and vessels from other nations. The Empire spends trillions every year on capital class construction, and billions on construction crew recruitment. Fighters are produced in a factory within the Imperial city, on contract to the TIE Corporation. Primarily due to the fact that they designed most of them.

(See "Ships of the fleet" for a ship listing.)

Colonies of the Empire: Although most live within the Imperial city, many citizens also make their homes among the stars, on Imperial colonies, research stations, and Farming settlements. Most just seek the quieter life, others seek adventure on the frontier. The Empire has claimed a whole sector of space, known as the Helios sector, after the class of ship that first discovered the Empires first colony, known as the Hyra Oxil system. The Hydra Oxil system was colonised by a farming community, and now is the Empires main supplier of fresh produce. (See the "Colonies of the Helios sector" section for a full list of planets)

Ships of the fleet

(OOC: This section is mainly for nations who are in combat with Imperial vessels and need statistics)

The Imperial Fleet is the pride of the Empire. It has conquered many planets in the name of The Imperial Navy. There are around 150 ships per Armada, with 5 Main Armada's and one command fleet overall. There are about 5 different classes of ship, and the Admirals unique ships, details of which are listed below.

Light Capitol class vessels

Helios class Light Recon cruiser
Size: 1/4 kilometer long, 1/4 kilometer tall
Crew: 50 Enlisted, 12 Officers
Fighters: None
Weapons: 12 Heavy Blaster cannons, 12 Ion Cannons, 15 Anti-fighter cannons.

Little more than an escort vessel and recon craft, this vessel is very lightly armed, designed only for defense. This vessels main purpose is to locate new systems for colonisation, with weapons designed mainly to repel pirates or hostile races encountered. Despite this, a few still serve in the Armada, in the smaller fleets.

Darkstar class Light destroyer
Size: 1/2 Kilometer long, 1/4 kilometers tall
Crew: 100 Enlisted, 20 Officers, 30 Marines, 12 Pilots
Fighters: 1 squadron of 12 Imperial TID Interceptors
Weapons: 30 Heavy Blaster cannons, 25 Ion cannons, 1 Rail Gun, 20 Anti-fighter cannons

The Darkstar class is the main light craft of the Imperial Armada. Several hundred serve with the fleet, their sole purpose to defend the larger capitol vessels. They carry a fighter compliment for the purpose of intercepting and destroying enemy bombers. It is also the only ship in the fleet equipt with the Rail gun, a Gravity weapon that launches a projectile with immense force. Even in space this weapon can be deadly, due to the speed it is launched.

Medium Capitol class vessels

Firestorm class carrier
Size: 3/4 Kiliometer long, 1/2 kilometer tall
Crew: 50 Pilots, 50 Enlisted, 10 Officers, 30 Marines
Fighters: 2 Squadrons of TID fighters, 4 squadrons of TID bombers.
Weapons: 2 Heavy Blaster cannons, 100 Anti-fighter cannons

This vessel does nothing more than carry fighters to launch into battle for the Armada it serves in. It is almost defenseless, except it can defend exceptionally against enemy fighters. They are manned by a smaller crew than the Darkstar class, but are classed as a medium Capitol vessel because of the quantity of fighters it carries.

Hellfire class Destroyer
Size: 1 Kilometer long, 3/4 Kilometer tall
Crew: 150 Enlisted, 20 officers, 40 Marines, 20 Pilots
Fighters: 2 Squadrons of TID Interceptors
Weapons: 50 Heavy Blaster cannons, 30 Ion Cannons, 20 Anti-fighter cannons, 1 Imperial Disruptor cannon

The workhorse of the Imperial fleet. This vessel is the most common warship in the Armada, with at least 70 in every fleet. This ship is capable of tangling with any vessel and comming out unscathed. It proved itself in the Alternate Incident, destroying many enemy mechs and capitol craft, earning it's place in history.

Heavy Capitol vessels/Unique vessels of the Admirals

Juggernaught class Heavy Battlecruiser
Size: 1 1/2 Kilometers long, 1 Kilometer tall
Crew: 600 Enlisted, 100 Officers, 50 Marines, 40 pilots
Fighters: 4 Squadrons of TID Interceptors.
Weapons: 120 Heavy blaster cannons, 50 Ion Cannons, 40 Anti-fighter cannons, 4 Imperial Disruptor cannons

The heaviest regular vessel in the Imperial fleet, the Juggernaught has been known to wipe out entire pirate fleets single-handed, although many of these vessels have been lost in war. It takes over 4 months at a time to make one of these vessels, and ten are ways under construction, just in case. Following the Alternate Incident, the Shipyards have been working hard to fill an order for another 40(!). They mainly serve only with the main fleets, with the lesser armada's only having a few.

Admiral Valdoor's Personal Flagship, the Darkness (Modified Juggernaught class)
Size: Same
Crew: Same
Fighters: 1 extra squadron of TID Bombers
Weapons: 1 additional weapon - The Moon Cannon

Admiral Valdoor is a newer Admiral, commanding the 5th fleet. He uses a Modified Juggernaught class as his flagship, for he has not yet been granted an official flagship of his own. The moon cannon on board is not as powerful as the weapon on Gregory's Flagship, the CMC, but is still very destructive. Admiral Valdoor is yet to test his vessel in battle.

Admiral Falkiri's Personal Flagship, the Deathwing (Holy Sword Class Carrier)
Size: 1.2 Kilometers long, 3/4 Kilometers tall
Crew: 200 Enlisted, 50 officers, 200 Pilots, 80 Marines
Fighters: 4 Squadrons of TID Fighters, 4 Squadrons of TID Interceptors, 8 Squadrons of TID Bombers
Weapons: 40 Heavy Blaster cannons, 30 Ion cannons, 50 Anti-fighter cannons, 1 Moon Cannon

This is the Flagship of the 4th Admiral, Falkiri. The Emperor personally gifted this prototype vessel to Admiral Falkiri, though none know why, due to Falkiri's complete lack of military experience. This is the largest carrier in the Imperial fleet, able to launch 16 squadrons of fighters and bombers. It also has the firepower to engage in ship-to-ship combat, and can hold it's own in a solo fight.

Admiral Vyse's Personal Flagship, the Liberator. (Valor Class Battleship)
Size: 1.5 Kilometers long, 0.9 Kilometers tall
Crew: 800 Enlisted, 180 officers, 100 Marines, 80 Pilots
Fighters: 4 Squadrons of TID Interceptors
Weapons: 200 Heavy Blaster cannons, 150 Ion Cannons, 40 Anti-fighter cannons, 8 Imperial Disruptor cannons, 1 Moon Cannon

Admiral Vyse's Flagship is a heavily armed vessel, designed for front line war. It's weakness is that all the firepower means a much weaker shield system. A few blasts can quickly disable it's shields, leaving it open to direct attack. Admiral Vyse has realised this, and as a result always fights in a defensive formation.

Admiral Galcian's Personal Flagship, the Serpent. (Snakehead Class Battlefortress)
Size: 2 Kilometers long, 2 Kilometers tall
Crew: 1000 Enlisted, 200 Officers
Fighters: None
Weapons: 700 Heavy blaster cannons, 500 Ion cannons, 200 Anti-fighter cannons, 20 Imperial Disruptor cannons, 1 Serpent cannon.

Admiral Galcian's Flagship is unique in the fact it is not excactly a starship. It is a mobile fortress, with more firepower than any other ship in the fleet. However it flies like a crippled Bantha, The slowest ship in the entire Armada. Lighter cruisers can outmanuver with ease. But what it loses in speed, it makes up in killing power. It was designed as a capitol ship killing machine, slicing it's opponent apart with ease with a mighty array of cannons and disruptors, as well as it's unique Serpent cannon, designed by Galcian himself.

Admiral Bellena's Personal Flagship, the Wasp. (Modified Hellfire Class Destroyer)
Size: Same
Crew: Extra 50 Enlisted, Extra 10 Officers
Fighters: Same
Weapons: Extra 20 Heavy Blaster cannon, Added Moon Cannon

Admiral Bellena believes that speed beats firepower anyday, and her choice of vessel reflects this. Taking a Hellfire Class Destroyer, she fitted more weapons, more crew and upgraded the engines for extra manuverability. As a result the Wasp is the most manuverable Flagship in the fleet, but also the weakest. But Bellena's mastery of manuvering tactics has enabled her to overcome most enemies, even those stronger than her. More armour has been equipt to the hull since the Alternate incident, where the lack of armour plating allowed Admiral Bellena to be kidnapped by a mech, piloted by the alternate Lord Gregory, smashing through the ship.

Lord Gregory's Flagship, command ship of the Imperial Armada, the Infinity. (Oblivion Class Mothership)
Size: 4 Kilometers long, 2 Kilometers tall
Crew: 2000 Enlisted, 300 Officers, 500 Marines, 400 Pilots
Fighters: 4 Squadrons each of Fighters, Interceptors, Bombers, and Fighter-Bombers.
Weapons: 600 Heavy Blaster Cannons, 400 Ion Cannons, 400 Anti-fighter Cannons, 1 Chaos Moon Cannon.

The most famous ship in the Imperial Fleet, the Infinity has been in the front lines of almost every war in the Imperial Expansion. Heavily Armed, well defended, and modified engines for extra manuverability, this is perhaps the greatest warship designed. It is also the only ship equipt with the ultra-expensive weapon, the Chaos Moon Cannon, or CMC. The Infinity always leads the fleet into battle, for Gregory believes it is good for morale, even though many times it has nearly cost him his life.

The Emperor's Flagship, the Eternum. (Blackstar class Warcruiser)
Size: CLASSIFIED
Crew: CLASSIFIED
Fighters: CLASSIFIED
Weapons: CLASSIFIED

This vessel has been kept under wraps ever since it's construction began. Little is known of this ship. But rumors suggest this ship incorporates a "Eternum Cannon". If this is true, it could be a terrifying prospect indeed. The official news channels report this vessel is currently undergoing spaceworthiness trials. None know why the Emperor desires this vessel so quickly. But some believe that it has somthing to do with the rumored "Sixth fleet" of the Armada. The Emperor has denied this on several occasions.

Imperial Weapons and technology

Standard Warship arms: The most commonly used weapons on Imperial capitol vessels are the Heavy Blaster Cannon and the Ion Cannon. The Heavy Blaster cannon is designed to rip through the hull of an enemy vessel, with a high powered, high yeald heat blast, that can melt through Adamantium. The Ion Cannon is designed for the purposes of disabling enemy shields, or disabling an enemy ship for capture. It has an EMP Style effect, although it has been enhanced to break through EMP resistant shielding.

Imperial Disruptor cannon: A heavy weapon mounted onto most vessels of the fleet, this weapon sends a bolt of supercharged plasma at the target, which can bypass an enemy's shields entirely and melt a hole in the enemy vessel, causing potentially catastrophic damage. It takes 2 minutes to charge up a shot at a time, due to the ammount of energy required to fire.

Anti-fighter cannons: Designed to counter the threat of fighters and bombers from pirate fleets, these point-defence style lasers can rip through enemy fighters with precision. They are short range however, so all fighters have to do is keep their distance... which is exactly what the weapon is designed for. It also doubles up handily, as an anti-missile system, intercepting them before they can impact the vessel.

Imperial Engines: All vessels in the Imperial Fleet use the Mk 7 Plasma Drive. Designed for long range travel, the engine can run without refueling for 70 years at a time (Depending on vessel mass). This engine uses condensed plasma and enhanced energy crystals as a focus. It allows maximum manuverability. A vessels mass can effect it's manuverability without modifications however, with Admiral Galcian's flagship, the Serpent being a clear example.

Imperial Rail Gun: A weapon exclusively installed on the Darkstar class, this weapon is close to being rendered obsolete, for the empire gave up on projectile weapons a long time ago, with energy weapons being more efficient. The rail gun is more a relic of the past than a modern weapon, but is kept for it's potential destructive capability. Using a inversed gravity well, this weapon fires a white-hot disk at almost the speed of light from it's barrel, which is designed for ripping chunks out of the enemy hull, depressurising the enemy vessel. The weapons speed must be monitored for if the disk travels faster than the speed of light, it risks tearing a hole in the space-time continumm, should it collide with anything. It is due to this that the weapon is to be discontinued in future Darkstar class vessels.

Moon Cannons And CMC's: The moon cannon is an immensely powerful energy cannon mounted only to Imperial Flagships. Highly expensive to build and maintain, they are the most feared weapon in Imperial space. Utilising Moon Crystals from the planet Arcadia, this weapon focuses a laser through the Crystal, unleashing a terrifying power from within. It fires a high-energy blast that can rip apart an enemy vessel in a single blast. As far as Imperial scientists can tell, the crystals power is eternal. The Infinity, Lord Gregory's Flagship, is the only ship equipt with the Chaos Moon Cannon or CMC, a superpowered version of the Moon Cannon. The CMC has been fitted with a massive Moon Crystal gifted to him by the Emperor and his Wife. It's power is so high it cannot be measured by Imperial instruments. The CMC can bypass the most advanced shields, tearing an enemy apart. The standard Moon Cannon and the CMC have a 10 minute cooldown between shots, so they are usually saved for decisive moments in the battle.

The Serpent Cannon: A weapon designed by Lord Galcian, it was designed by experimenting with Moon Crystals, tweaking the frequency of the laser, and testing new laser types. The result was the Serpent cannon, a weapon that fires a beam of energy that disables all electronic systems, no matter how advanced. Effectively it is the ultimate Ion Cannon, designed to disable vessels for later capture. Like the Moon cannon, it has a 10 minute cooldown time, so it is a weapon saved for key moments.

The Eternum Cannon

It has only been seen in action once, and it is devastating. This weapon destroys anything biological at the cellular level, turning them into dust. This sort of weapon is banned by Imperial Law, but The Emperor has had one built anyway...

Imperial TID Fighters, Bombers and Interceptors: When the TIE Corporation first started trading, it was with borrowed designs for the so-called TIE Fighter. A completely obsolete vessel, the TIE Corporation set about improving it. Replacing the engine systems with a power drive, power supply and improving the weapon systems, while installing a shield system, the only thing left of the orginal design was the shell, which the TIE Corps kept for the purpose of instilling fear in opponents. And so the TID Fighter was born, more manuverable, more deadly, and better defended. Over time the TIE Corps added more vessels to the fleet, including the TID Bomber, and the TID Interceptor. Rumor has it that the TIE Corporation has been employed to design a new fighter-bomber exclusively for the Emperor's fleet.

Colonies of the Helios Sector

The Empire controls many holdings within the Helios Sector, Also known purely as Imperial space. Some planets are abandoned or unihabitable, others already occupied by other races.

Hydra Oxil System: The 1st system discovered when the Empire claimed this sector, Hydra Oxil is a system containing 4 planets, 2 of which are uninhabitable. the outer planets, Hydrus and Hydril, are currently Farming planets for the Empire, Both perfectly fertile, both able to support life. Although the temperature is different on both planets, the warmer planet is perfect for crops, while the outer planet is perfect to raise Bantha's for their meat. There is a small Defense presence here, for there is little chance for attack. The planet holds no strategic value.

Tydus System: This system has seen much in the past year. A 5 planet system, or at least it was, the Empire only occupy's one planet in this system, Tydus Prime. A colony world, and home to Millions of the Empires civilians. Tydus IV was formerly home to a research facility, but was destroyed during the Alternate Incident by the Alternate Emperor Gregory. There is a moderate system of defense turrets and a small defence fleet of Helios Class Recon vessels, due to recent events.

Planetary system 07PJK: Information on this system has been classified, though rumors suggest that the Emperor is amassing a secret fleet here. The official response is that this system is under research.

Angor System: There aren't any inhabitable planets in this system, and the Empire does not control it either. But in orbit of the planet Angor II is an independant space station, built for the purposes of trade. Controlled by an independant body, this planet is visited by many species, seeking new technology, fuel, or food supplies. It is effectively a refueling station for freight haulers. The Empire has allowed this operation to continue, as it poses no threat to the Empire. It has however, been placed under observation.

Walker System: This system used to be a colony, But the Empire has had to evacuate the Civilians to Arcadia due to the fact that the star is about to go nova, and destroy the entire system.

Arcadian System: Sometimes called the Jewel of the Empire, Planet Arcadia Prime is a planet like no other. An odd balance of minerals in the planets core, and 6 moons in geosyncronous orbit, have caused the planets landmass to break apart, and whole Landmasses now float in the sky, which are known as Islands. It's people somehow managed to carve a life out on this planet, Developing airships powered by crystals that fall from the moons. It seems the moons themselves are imbued with a mysterious power, which even the Empire now harvests. Found by Lord Gregory during the later years of the great expansion, The first encounter proved hostile, and a war broke out. A peace deal was reached when the Emperor himself came to Arcadia, and took the ruling Emperess, Teodora as his wife. Because of this, Arcadia is now a part of the Empire, and it's people are now under Imperial protection.

Taiidan System: Former home of allies the Taiidan Empire, destroyed by The Minarii Kiithid shortly after the Empire first encountered them. The Taiidan Empire had a mutual trade agreement with the Empire, But disapeared all of a sudden. Lord Gregory took a fleet out to investigate, and found the planet devastated, the remmnants of the Taiidan fleet floating in orbit of the planet. There were no survivors. The fleet was then attacked by the Minarii Kiithid battlegroup, which was repelled. Lord Gregory was then authorised to destroy the Minarii Kiithid.

Ziithar System: Homeworld of the Minarii Kiithid, now extinct, thanks to the Empire. After the destruction of the Taiidan Homeworld, Lord Gregory took his fleet here and faced down the entire Minarii Kiithid fleet. After a brutal struggle the Empire, an allied fleet arrived, aiding in the destruction of the enemy fleet. The planet Ziithar Prime was devastated by a 2 hour long bombardment, leaving nothing but wreckage and scorched earth. The Empire declared the Ziithar system unsuitable for colonisation.

Rithar System: A system near the Ziithar system, this system is currently occupied by a primative humanoid species. The Empire has chosen not to interfere with the advancement of this species, and has left a small research pod in orbit to study them.

Gregory system: One of the newest systems, this small colony system is named in honor of Lord Gregory, Supreme commander of the Armada. It currently numbers only a few thousand colonists.

Yanus System: This system contains several Gas Giant planets, now mined by the Imperial Navy for the purposes of Metalwork. Much of the gasses harvested are used to enhance the strengths of metals used to construct the fleet.

National Geography:

The Empire is a massive continent of land, of which the nation and city spans the entirety. Roughly the size of asia, it still barely has enough room for the citizens of the Imperial navy, hence the colonisation. Nearby lies the small continent of Ragnarok, also an Imperial territory.

Culture and religion

The Imperial Navy is a peaceful nation, with a strong work ethic and a disregard for religion. Although Religion is permitted, there is a total lack of it within The Imperial Navy. The People enjoy entertainment from holo screens or visiting one of the nations many leasure facilities, where they may participate in sport. Dues to the lenghty lifespan of Imperial Citizens, the population rises fast, and The Imperial Navy will eventually run out of land. To prevent this, large families are offered free tickets to travel to and live on one of our colonies, and thus begin on a new lush and fertile planet. The tax rate in the Imperial Navy would be crippling for most, but Imperial citizens are so wealthy the Tax rate barely effects them. The citizens are also very cynical, and will not believe anything unless they see proof.

Language

There is a major diversity of languages within The Imperial Navy, with many cultures and peoples comming together. The invention of the Universal Translator made it easier for people to understand, but the diversity of languages are as follows:

Imperial (Typical language) 67%
Tydanian 13%
Taiidanian 6%
Celebornian (Survivors from the loss of Celeborne) 5%
Gatonian 4%
Other 15%

Government:

The Government is mainly controled by the Emperor, but for difficult decisions he can consult the Imperial Parliament, a large group of advisors who give him choices of action. The Parliament is elected in by the people, while the Emperor has the final say. Suffice to say that the Parliament is an instrument of the Emperor to convince people they still have a voice.

Education

Children within the Imperial Navy are among the smartest in the region, with children as young as 12 able to build a Lightspeed engine as a science project. Children are bought up multilingual and strictly taught what is neccesary. Once they have chosen a carrer (which they must do buy the age of 10), they are taught only what they need to do their job. If they misbehave they are beaten, but even this rarely happens. Although a strict method of education, it is very effective, with a 98% employment rate. And the 2% are mostly the elderly.

Technology

Technology is highly advanced within the Imperial Navy, with Space travel now just a luxury, and light speed flight an easy possibility. Scientists work night and day in labs to come up with new ways to make our lives easier. It was they who gave us access to the stars, and it was they who gave us the freedom to fly where we like. Scientists are held in very high regard, and are loved by citizens nationwide.

Medical Technology:

Imperial Medical knowledge is a fantastic thing, with many problematic diseases cured years ago. Doctors now find their jobs a lot easier, with most injuries now being light Hovercar accidents, that are usually easily treated. Immunisations have already ended Cancer, Aids and Lukemia, as well as over fatal illnesses. Medical screening also ensures that most birth defects are prevented, and STD's can be cured very easily. Technology has come a long way within this nation since it's founding.

OOC: Technically, leukemia is a kind of cancer and wouldn't it be more prudent to immunize against HIV rather than AIDS?

OOC: Technically, leukemia is a kind of cancer.

Yeah, but most medics seem to classify it seperately.

Yeah, but most medics seem to classify it seperately.

Also, while I'm not a doctor, I'm pretty sure you can't immunize against cancer because it's not a problem with the immune system.

EDIT: Although, it does seem there are ways to fight it using one's own immune system. However, I'm not sure if it can be prevented in the same manner.

As a FT nation, it would be possible to remove errors in the genetic code to prevent cancers though

I don't believe that technically counts as an immunization because it doesn't deal with the immune system.
