It was a considerably hot afternoon in the capital city of Farbanti. City life seemed normal as always, with busy traffic heading to and fro with pedestrians clogging up the sidewalks and jay walking on the streets whenever possible. Tourists walking around were most polite, obeying the law while heading to see most popular destinations especially in the government district. Inside of the capitol building however, planning had started as Premier Marshal David Mondol met up with military advisers and his cabinet. The men meet at a rectangular table with military officers being sat to the dictator's right and the cabinet seated at his left. The walls had all been decorated with Erusean banners draped at precise intervals, and behind the Premier Marshal was a very large National Seal displaying the Erusean golden eagle resting on a sword with the Erusean colors on the shield on its chest. The large cherry oak table was well polished and the men all sat with etiquette before their supreme leader.
"Gentlemen," began Premier Marshal Mondol, "I have brought you today with plans for Erusea's expansion. As you may know, large new oil basins have been discovered off the coast of Zinaire."
"Zinaire?" asked a military officer, "where is that may I ask, sir?"
"The Republic of Zinaire," responded Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chris Grisal, "a relatively new nation in the New Caribbean."
"Correct," replied the dictator as he motioned for a man to turn on a giant map of the New Caribbean, with Zinaire highlighted in red, "now as you see this is Zinaire. We are looking for the oil basin to the south of the country. But I want it all, not just what some oil companies have been licensed to drill. So, we will launch of preemptive strike on Zinairian military positions, and launch an amphibious landing to mop up the rest."
"Sir," said the Minister of Foreign Intelligence, "Zinaire is part of a regional alliance there called the New Caribbean Treaty Organization, they have quiet a number of members, mostly very small nations."
"No matter," responded the Republican Guard Marshal, "I do believe that we can achieve decisive victories over the enemy and secure the oil deposits."
All of the officials looked at each other, and the dictator had his mind set on the war to come. The Erusean Aegir Fleet used in the invasion of Route1 and invasion of Doveridge already was preparing and loading up troops to set sail to Zinaire. Erusean Naval Aviation Tu-22M3 bombers began to fuel up as their pilots were being briefed, for they would head out to Zinaire, refuel in midair and continue to launch highspeed cruise missile attacks on the Zinairian Navy, while the Air Force had multiple Tu-22M3 and Tu-160 bombers being readied for deep strikes against other Zinairian military installations, mainly the Zinairian National Facilities. Several cargo ships were also set sail with Mi-24 Hind attack helicopters, and Mi-8 Hip and Ka-60 Orca transport helicopters to send Spetsnaz forces into Zinaire.
